Getting setpagedevice error from xerox ps printer

cannot print any indesign (cs1, windows7) document on one of our printers...the xerox 245 pro ps. i only get an error page with error:typecheck and offending command: setpagedevice.
is this a post script issue, a drive issue? i am not a techie so if someone could help that would be lovely.

i downloaded the global pcl driver 5 from xerox and that worked.
note the global pcl driver 6 did not print the graphics. the global pcl drive 5 did.

Did you delete all receipts with iDVD in the file name with either a .PKG or .BOM extension that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder and from the /var/db/receipts/ folder before installing the new copy? If not then do so and delete the new application also.

As soon as I login with iChat, I get an error from MobileMe!

Hey, I've had this issue for a while, and my work around for it was just not using iChat. However, I want to use iChat now so I need a proper resolution. Now I have mobile me with my [email protected] address, and I have my iChat account with [email protected] (created before my MM subscription).
When I log into iChat for the first time, within minutes I get an error from MobileMe saying "You've entered an incorrect password for MobileMe, please try again"... I didn't do anything though.
If I go to MobileMe in System Preferences, it says: "Your password has changed. Enter your new password.
If you have not changed (or reset) your password contact MobileMe support."
If I enter my password in and get that fixed, the next time I start up iChat it says: "Your login ID or password is incorrect"... soo I'm confused.
The password for my @me and @mac addresses are different, is it possible they are sharing the same keychain? I do have the check box ticked to remember the password.
Any idea's?

I would not repair at this time.
In the list of password you should find the one for iChat Or possibly several for iChat if you have different Account/Screen Names list by their Account names.
Double click on the one that is causing you issue.
In the new window that pops up put a tick in the Password Box. You will probably have to confirm with your Admin Password to Allow Once.
Does this show the right password ?
If not change the Password.
If it does then click the Access Tab and see if iChat is Allowed (Or Allow All is being used)
Either change to Allow All or add iChat to the List.

Why do i get an error from bios for my sata dvd recorder?

I have updated my bois to the latest 1.70 version for my K9N Neo 1.0 motherboard and get an error from bios that the S.M.A.R.T drives dont work and that i cant be read from my Sata DVD recorder?
I have a samsung lightscribe 18X dvd recorder and it was no problem until i updated the bios. I have tryed to turn off s.m.a.r.t drives checkup but i still get the error.
What can i do to stop bios from the error? now i have turn my bios to "no errors" so i dont have to clickon F1 every time i start och restart my computer.

We are getting RPD0018 error from IDS for few portal requests. I thought this error was generating when the IDS max wait time sets 30 seconds for gendata to respond back. I have changed this IDS Wait time to 180 Seconds, but still i am getting the same error. I was not able to figure out the cause. Can some one help me out?

This error is likely being thrown by GenData due to some failure in the generation, not by the max wait time. According to the documentation:
"Category: Error: Bridge Configuration
Gendata failure in //ROWSET[@NAME="RPD0018"]//VAR[@NAME="LOCATION"].
Cause: Gendata failed.
Remedy: Fix Gendata errors and try again.
You should look at the transactions that are failing and debug the forms/sections being generated.

Help: Getting permission errors from an important document

I'm having permissions errors with a specific document. I've tried running Disk Utility with no luck.
The problem started when I tried to restore an older version of the document from Time Machine. Time Machine gave me an error saying I didn't have permissions to save the restored document. Time Machine also removed my newer version of the document, because I said I wanted Time Machine to replace the old document with the new one.
I was able to save the document from Time Machine to an external drive. But now I'm getting permissions errors with that document and I'm unable to save. The document is a Moneywell document (Moneywell is a finance app).
Here are some more details:
When I tried to saved the document, I got the following error: The file “Moneywell 2013.moneywell” is locked.
If you want to make changes to this document, click Unlock. To keep the file unchanged and work with a copy, click Duplicate.
There were three buttons: Duplicate, Cancel, Unlock
When I clicked Unlock, I got the following message:
"The file “Moneywell 2013.moneywell” cannot be unlocked.
You can duplicate this document and edit the duplicate."
There were two buttons: Cancel and Duplicate.
I clicked Duplicate and got the following message:
"Could Not Duplicate File
Moneywell could not duplicate your file at this time"
There was one button: OK
When I clicked OK, I got the following message:
"“Moneywell 2013.moneywell” couldn’t be copied because you don’t have permission to access 'Dropbox'
To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info."
So, I clicked OK.
I was saving to my Drop Box folder so I thought I'd try saving it somewhere else. I dragged the document out of my Dropbox folder and into my Documents folder (which is the parent folder for my Dropbox folder).
I got the same errors as I did when the document was in my Dropbox folder. Only this time when I chose Duplicate it's telling me I don't have permissions to my Documents folder:
"“Moneywell 2013.moneywell” couldn’t be copied because you don’t have permission to access “Documents”. To view or change permissions, select the item in the Finder and choose File > Get Info."
So, I don't know what's going on. I had none of these problems yesterday and my Moneywell document is the only document giving me this trouble.
I know permissions problems like this one are common so I hope someone can help me.

Back up all data. Don't continue unless you're sure you can restore from a backup, even if you're unable to log in.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box marked Allow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click the following line to select it. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C):

If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.

I keep getting this message from downloader.exe running Windows 7 64 bit O/S each time I start Firefox 3.6.9. The procedure entry point ?GetRegisterInfo@@GXPADHOH@Z could not be located in the dynamic link library transport_dll.dll. I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it on a number of occasions but this message box persists. I can still use Firefox by just clicking the message away but it is an annoyance when starting the program. Thank you for any info you can provide me on this.

Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of. If that doesn't help read on...

Using SMTP I can not use a mail server with more than 13 characters. I get an error from TCP open

I have no trouble sending an email if the mail server name is less than 13 characters long. I get an error 54 from TCP open when it exceeds that length. How do I get around this?

Don't know what to say, I just tried the SMTP email VI I have with an 18-character mail server address and everything worked fine. The error 54 means that the address is ill-formed.
The only thing I would suggest is trace the mail-server address down through the hierarchy and make sure nothing is done to modify it. Also try putting a probe on the wire going into the TCP open function and make sure the string you see there is the same one you are using. Finally, change the formatting of the control taking the address into the subvi that contains the TCP open function (SMTP Open Session.vi)to show the slash codes and make sure some invisible characters aren't getting added along the way.
As a last resort save the vi in 6.0 format and send it to me and I'll
try it on my system--maybe there's something screwy going on with your computer...

Follow the below steps..
This issue is caused by NTFS permissions on the FileTransfer folder on the HFM Web Server and can be verified by giving the Everyone group Full Access Control to the FileTransfer folder
1. Check the data value of FileTransferFolderPath value in the Windows Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\Hyperion Financial Management\Web
2. In Windows Explorer navigate to the folder specified in above registry, right-click on folder name and select Properties then the Security tab.
3.Make sure that the below accounts should be available. if not Add IUSR, IWAM, IIS_WPG, Interactive, System, Service, Local Service, Network, Network Services, DCOM account, Anonymous and Everyone to the Web folder and
Give Full Control permissions
4. Click apply and Restart IIS

I get an error from iTunes saying it cant recognize the "iPhone"

I just upgraded to itunes 7.6.0.29, after that got a pop up with a message from iTunes saying it cant recognize the "iPhone" and to detach it and try again.
Just for verification uninstalled 7.6 and reinstalled 7.5. The problem went away. Then upgraded the iPod Touch software to version 1.1.3
Thinking that with the new SW version in the iPod maybe the problem went away upgraded again iTunes to 7.6 just to get the same error again.
Any way to "fix" this? or should I re-install 7.5 and wait for 7.7?

STEP 1:Friends what I have done is I disconnected my IPOD from my laptop and

1.1.3.

STEP 2: Once the ITUNES (older version) dump is available on your computer
uninstall the ITUNES and all the IPOD related stuff from your computer
from Start>Control panel>ADD/Remove programs.

Open the ITUNES software.
Step 4: Now connect your IPOD and the ITUNES will prompt you that an IPOD in
recovery mode is detected. It will ask you if u want to recover it to the
factory settings by clicking on "restore" under the "summary" tab on
ITUNES. Before doing this the very important step we need to do is to
UPDATE THE ITUNES VERSION FROM THE EXISTING OLDER VERSION TO 7.6 WHICH IS
VERY IMPORTANT.
STEP 5: To do this click on the HELP menu on the top and click on CHECK FOR
UPDATES. Thats it the ITUNES will be updated to latest version which will
allow us to update the IPOD'S FIRMWARE to 1.1.3 as well.
STEP 6: Now go to the summary tab of the IPOD and click on restore> wait for the
restoration process to carry on and the IPOD should be running back to
normal.
WELL FRIENDS THIS WHAT I HAVE DONE ON MY IPOD AND THE PROBLEM IS SORTED.

the store proc works fine if i test it in sql plus but when i call it from the page i get a dos window error
