Attach a Smart form to a output type .
Hi,
May i know how to attach a smart form to a output type in NACE transaction.
So that when we take PO printout from me9f it should work fine.
Is it same as we do for a script or any thing extra need to be done??/
Regards,
NehaHi Neha,
If you want to print a PO with smartform, please maintain it in t-code
NACE with SAP standard settings.
1- normal method using the standard PO printing:
Out type Print program Form Routine Form Smartform
NEU SAPFM06P ENTRY_NEU MEDRUCK Not applicable
2- for smartforms:
Out type Print program Form Routine Form Smartform
NEU /BPR3PF/FM06P ENTRY_NEU Not Indicate the
Applic template to use
Please find notes which explains on where to find Standard
Smartforms , assistance and documentation on this issue.

Integrate pdf (converted from smart form ) into portal
Hi,
My Requirement is as follows,
We are using FPM framework and the application is developed on Webdynpro Java,
When a end user fills up the details on this application form and clicks on a Review button,
it will display the summary of the above details in a PDF format.
This PDF will be converted from a smart form in backend.
My question is how do we integrate this PDF at runtime into Portal via WebDynpro Java?
Thanks in advance,
~Veena.Hi.
First tell your abapper to make a RFC for you that returns the binary of the smartform.
Then import that RFC.
Create an Interactive Form UI Element.
-In its properties, select "usePdf" option and then in pdfSource select the attribute where the binary from the zfunction is returned.
If you dont have problems with encoding the pdf will be shown.
Wish you luck.

I have a mac powerbood g4. whenever i try to open a pdf document from a search engine or as an attachment to email or as a movie ticket it i can't 'open' the document, even if i have adobe open in another window. i'm always required to save it somewhere, and even then it doesn't always save as a pdf document, but sometimes as another type of file that my computer doesn't even recognize, as occurs with online movie tickets with cineplex.
Please post a screenshot that shows what you mean. Be careful not to include any private information.

Means I can see the chinese caracters but the missing the format or very few times I am gettin # as chinese characters. I am doing the below things to do this job, suggest me if I am wrong any where.

Export to pdf for thai characters get blank result.
Dear expert,
I have a problem, when export Sales Order that contain thai characters to PDF in SAP B1 2007A SP01 PL08, the page converted to pdf successfully for english characters, but not for Thai character. Thai characters did not display anything, just blank.
I did refer to note 339832 , and i guess this note is for R3 system, and I think for B1 also should use the same method when export to pdf.
So, anyone have any idea to enable Thai characters to export to pdf in SAP Business One?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Reagrds
MatDear Carin,
Actually the purpose I want to export to pdf is because to attach wiith email that send direct from SAP.
My scenario here is:
- Open one Sales Order
- then click on Email icon to send email with attachment (I want to attach the SO). But, when I check the pdf before send the SO as attachment, i find out that the Thai characters missing/blank (as JimM said it is limitation in SAP for pdf function currently).
- the email sent successfully, but only the SO attachment is not correct because of Thai characters missing.
As per your suggestion, yes I can print as pdf first, then manually attach to email, but this involve too many manual steps just to send one SO via email.
Any way, thanks to all of you for reply.
JimM, thanks for the info and I will try to proceed to SAP development team for future use.

COMMIT_IN_POSTING error when sending PO as PDF attachment through me23n.
I am sending PO smartform as PDF attachment which is created when print preview option is selected in ME23n .
Problem is when i use
CALL FUNCTION 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
EXPORTING
DOCUMENT_DATA = WA_DOC_CHNG
PUT_IN_OUTBOX = 'X'
COMMIT_WORK = 'X'
If I am using COMMIT_WORK = 'X' in this function module. then am able to send the mail ,but at the same time am not able to save any new PO in ME21N.
Iam getting error COMMIT_IN_POSTING.
IF I comment COMMIT_WORK = 'X'
CALL FUNCTION 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1'
EXPORTING
DOCUMENT_DATA = WA_DOC_CHNG
PUT_IN_OUTBOX = 'X'
COMMIT_WORK = 'X'
then am able to save the new PO in ME21N but unable to send attachment as pdf.
Plzz provide me solution for the above,,...!
I have done changes in standard PO driver program from which am calling the samrtform using entry_enu form and with a nace configuration changes.Iam able to creat smartform output and also PDF file of smart form the only problem is sending mail while using 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1 and commit_work parameter.Moderator message - Duplicate post locked

How to send pdf attachment through BPEL
Hi All,
I have been looking for a solution to send a pdf as an attachment in bpel. My requirement is,
- Send a SOAP request to 'SendAttachment' bpel service with all the input parameters
- SendAttachment bpel service validates the input and generates the pdf within the bpel process
- SendAttachment bpel has to return the generated pdf as attachment along with response payload.
I did some research but couldn't a relevant scenario. I have no idea about how to start with. Experts, please suggest on how to implement this scenario.
Thanks in advance,
Satya.Dear Ravi,
I tried to build a small application to handle the above mentioned scenario. But I am unable to send pdf as attachment in BPEL. Below are the details,
1) Created a standalone weblogic webservice(instead of ejb as you mentioned) - 'GetAttachmentService' in eclipse that will create a pdf and send it along with the xml response.
2) In GetAttachmentService, created pdf is converted into byte[] and mapped to a 'base64Binary' element in 'GetAttachmentResponse'.
3) Tested the above webservice successfully using SOAP UI. I am able to see the binary data as one of the elements in GetAttachmentResponse.
4) Now, I have created a composite in SOA suite that will have a webservice adapter(to consume GetAttachmentService) and a BPEL process - 'SendAttachmentBPEL' to read the response elements.
5) SendAttachmentBPEL response has a 'base64Binary' element to hold the binary data from GetAttachmentService response.
6) Modified the SendAttachmentBPEL wsdl to accomodate mime content as below.
7) Since there is mime part in wsdl, EM didn't allow me to test there. So I have used SOAP UI to test SendAttachmentBPEL, I am getting the pdf as binary data in one of the response elements rather as attachment. Please take a look at the below BPEL snippet and suggest if any changes are required.
My objective is when I hit the SendAttachmentBPEL in SOAP UI, I should get back a response along with pdf attachment.

Email PDF smart form Support Desk
Hi SDN,
I'm working on support desk - solution manager, and i need to send the solution of the support message by email to the final user.
There is an standard action (SLF1 -SMSD_SERVICE_ORDER_DNO_OUTPUT) that sends the solution in pdf format by email, but we couldn't set the receivers online.
So, I'm using an "z" action that executes an smart form, and i would like to send the smart form in pdf format by the internet.
I'd like to use fm SO_DYNP_OBJECT_SEND, because the user must fill the receivers on-line
So far i have de OTF, and i know that i can make a conversion to pdf format, but i've the following problem
- the pdf in attach is empty, it may be because of the format, or may be i'm not using correctly this function.
Thanks in advance,
Maria João Rocha

I'm working on it, and Ive seen the SCOT documentation, so I've change my strategy.
Right now I'm using some of the methods of the BOR.
I think I've to code because I want a popup to introduce the list of the receivers and the mail body, and of course I want to attach a smart form on pdf format.
But I cant send the mail because of the error: Erro interno: SO_OBJECT_MIME_GET Exceção: 2
Can you help me on this? What Im doing wrong? What document class I need to use on the AttachmentType?
Thanks in advance.

Attaching the newly developed print smart form to T-Code COR2
Hi,
ABAP team developed a smartform for printout of process order which contain all the details of that process order and component list their qty and other details. Now I have to attach this smartform to the T-Code COR2. so that when the user creates the process order and save it then he goes to COR2 and enters the process order number then go to print button click and take the printout. How to attach the smart form to T-code COR2. Plz explain.
Thanks
VinamrathHi Kumar,
You have to configure the print forms in the t code CB85. After you configure when you create the process order the printout will be triggered
It will be triggered automatically if the configuration is activated immediately otherwise need to go to spool request SP01 t code and give the printout.
In the configuration itself the printer name also have to mentioned.
Thanks and regards,
Satish
