Getting The Itunes Radio to Play through my computer

I installed the Itunes software, but I am unable to get the radio to play after acccessing the rado stations.I click on the radio button. The status bar looks as though it is loading a station. When it is through loading, I assume I am connected to a radio station but I hear nothing. I am using a Dell desktop XPS 400 computer. I am running Windows XP Pro, 2gb ram, 940 DCHT technology. I have a Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2ZS Soundcard. I have DSL internet access. I have tried connecting through all types of Genre, different kbps ratings, but still no sound. It acts as if it has contacted and picked up the URL, The radio acts as if it is trying to get the playlist and says it is downloading playlist, but no list ever appears, and no music ever plays. Please tell me what I am doing wrong. I am new to this Itunes thing, and this type of program access. Forgive my ignorance, but I am willing to listen, follow directions, just need a little advice from someone who has had success in getting their radio to play in the windows environment. I have all the power, and am surrounded by a plethera of top of the line guts, and peripherals. Please feel free to E-mail me directly at [email protected], or here. You can play a regular song in iTunes and hear it, correct?
Click Radio and the Genres show up.
Click on of the Genre and it should drop down say "Refreshing list" and show all radio station in that Genre.
Double clicking (or click once and select Play) in iTunes and a box should pop up which states "pre buffering" (or something like that).
Once it is playing, you will see the station, play time and maybe song info in the box at the top of iTunes.
If it's not working, it could be your firewall blocking it.

It may help to turn iTunes Match off, then back on.
Windows: While holding down the shift key, choose Store > Turn Off iTunes Match.
Turn iTunes Match on by selecting Store > Turn On iTunes Match.

When you purchase a movie with iTunes Extras, the primary movie along with the iTunes Extras will download to your iTunes Movie folder. Mouseover the cover art and click the icon on the album to open the main menu to play the movie or view other features.

I recently tried uninstalling iTunes and then re-installing it so that I could get the iTunes Radio option. However, this did not work. I am not sure what to do in order to be able to play iTunes radio through my iTunes.

So I really would like to be able to use the itunes radio funciton. I tried re-installing itunes two times in hopes that it would somehow lead to me being able to use the itunes radio function. Since I am posting this on the community discussion, it is safe for you to assume that I was unable to get the function to appear on my itunes. If you could help me figure out this conundrum, I would be very happy with you.

Where are you? iTunes Radio is only enabled in the US so far.

Why does the iTunes radio stop playing?

Sometimes when listening to the iTunes radio on my desktop the station will stop playing. The speakers are on and I've done nothing.
Without a paid subscription Pandora will periodically check with the listener.
Is the iTunes radio set up the same way?

The thing is, the music does not cease prior to the slideshow start. Or At least it doesn't cease on my ATV.
I do have Flickr set as screensaver indeed, but having to change screensaver settings to watch a new slideshow is just plain annoying IMO.
Ane the fact that the music plays when a screensaver slideshow is active is a proof that technically the ATV could support the feature.

I wanted a 5th g iPod mainly so I could listen to the radio from docking speakers, and realized after I got it that the FM radio only works with the headphones. Is there any way to get the FM radio to work in the docking speakers?

Check boxes won't work. You need an actual player that supports playlists.

Getting ALL iTunes files to play through stereo

No one can seem to work this one out, not even the folks at our local Genius bar.
I'm running itunes 8.02 on my iMac (OsX) and for some reason the only iTunes files that will play through our stereo are songs. Can't figure out why I can't get everything playing (including files streamed from, say, the browser), or even non-song files from iTunes, like rented movies, for instance, to play. Only songs, period. I'm hooked up to our stereo through Airport Express.

Airport Express will only stream Audio files from iTunes.
It does not play the Audio from Video Content like Movies, TV Shows, etc, this is because of sync issues that would occur between the video being shown the the computer screen and the sound from Airport Express. It is only designed to stream audio content.
Also the only software that can stream to Airport Express is iTunes, it cannot be used from the Finder or any other Application.
There is an application you can buy called AirFoil that will provide the features you want though.
This is not an Apple product but will allow other content to be streamed to the airport express.

I can't get the iTunes installer to download to my computer. Win 7 Pro.

I have tried for two days to download the iTunes installer on a new computer. I'm running Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Precision, i7 processor, 32 GB RAM. A window pops up when I click on the Download link, asking if I want to download the file. When I click it, it opens a new window thanking me for downloading iTunes, but the download never occurs. I've tried this on both Firefox (36.0.1) and IE (11.0.9600.1761).
Does anybody have a useful solution?

There is some anecdotal evidence that the scripts on the Apple site that are supposed to detect the version of Windows you are running may fail for some users - jumping straight to the "Thank you for downloading ..." page with the installer not having been downloaded. As an alternative, you can go directly to the relevant downloads - like the previous 12.1.0.77 release, there are three different installers available, with direct links to these as follows:
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit) - itunes6464setup.exe
iTunes 12.1.1.4 (64-bit "for older video cards") - iTunes64Setup.exe
The third of these - which is actually the 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer - should be used if you get a warning about video card incompatibility when you install the standard 64-bit version. Based on evidence of the previous release, this may also be an appropriate alternative if you have playback issues or crashes with the standard 64-bit version, or problems syncing with MS Outlook. In the case of playback issues, you should check the following before trying the "for older video cards" version:
Varying the Play Audio Using settings under Edit > Preferences > Playback (you need to restart iTunes for changes to take effect). Setting this to "Direct Sound" rather than "Windows Audio Session" has been reported to address some playback issues (though some users have stated the reverse to be the case - this may vary with specific audio hardware/drivers)
Verify that you have the latest version (7.7.6) of QuickTime installed - some users have found that absence of QuickTime, or an out-of-date version can result in complete lack of audio output, particularly (though not exclusively) with Bluetooth audio devices.

Can't get the Daily Show to play on my computer...

21.5" iMac Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X 10.6.8. Tried reinstalling the combo 10.6.8 updater with no joy. Clips won't play in any browser- Safari, Chrome or Firefox. Flash plug-in 10.3.183.10 is installed. Used to play fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Ditto here. I have tried Safari, Chrome, and Firefox and cannot get Daily Show clips to play.
I have turned off Ad Blocker.
I have updated Flash Player.
I'm running the latest Mavericks OSX.
What gives?
The only thing that I can think of is I'm in New Zealand and Comedy Central has suddenly kiboshed videos outside the USA? They played fine before this format change.

ITunes Radio - wont play through MAC

I ususally listen to the Radio stations via a Roku Soundbridge (as well as other iTunes tracks etc) - with no issues.
Today I wanted to play a station via iTunes directly but no joy - still plays via wireless SoundBridge so its streaming ok, but no radio streaming via iTunes MAC directly...
It is the first I have tried radio via native iTunes so have I missed something.
(iTunes tracks still work ok)

How are you trying to open the stream in iTunes, and do you know what format the stream is in? Can you give us a link to the stream?

TS3212 I can't get the itunes download to run on my computer.

I have Windows 8 and it shows itunessetup.exe in my downloads, but when I click to run, it won't run and finish the installation. I don't get any error messages, it just won't install. Does anyone have any suggestions?

There is no way to "download the phone OS". It's stored in ROM, and when a Hard Reset occurs, the device is wiped and the OS is reloaded from ROM.
Since you have an AT&T Centro, there are no OS updates to install either.

Cannot access the iTunes radio

Hello,
I am trying to access the new iTunes radio. I've added a few radio stations to play as well. With the new update a couple weeks ago, it started off fine. Now, it's not working. I've updated to version 11.1.1 this morning and rebooted my computer.
This is the error message I am getting:
"We could not complete your iTunes store request. You are not authorized to access the requested resource. There was an error in the iTunes store. Please try again later."

It didn't show up in my music app for several hours. Don't know why... But it's there.
I can now access and add stations through the iTunes Store to play through music app icon.
