Getting the standard Notes App for Mac

My ipad and iphone have the notes app. How do i get notes on my Mac?
It is not available in the Mac AppStore and I can not find it among the apps included with the Mac.
I have Mobile Me but I can't sync my notes only the contacts and calendar.?

Notes are handled via Mail on OS X.

You can't at the present time. There's no such capability in the current version of Photos.
Tell Apple what additional features you want in Photos via both http://www.apple.com/feedback/macosx.html and http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html since they don't have a feedback page for Photos as yet.

No. The weather app comes bundled with iOS for those devices only, so it's not available on the App Store or anywhere else, for any other devices.
Isn't there a weather app for the iPad? If not, I'm sure there are plenty of alternatives on the App Store.

Where can I find a dedicated Notes app for Mac

On my new MacBook Air I cant find a separate app for Apple Notes. The notes are now embedded in Mail app, which is inconvenient. On my other Mac the notes have always been a separate app on the dock, just like there is a separate app for iPad and the iPhone.
Would anyone please help to find a dedicated Notes app to put on the dock.

Photos is a completely new designed photo application, designed for Yosemite and the MacOS X versions to come. Many differences are under the hood. It uses the new system libraries and frameworks for more efficient image processing on the new powerful macs, like the mac pro, it is extensible by app extensions, if other developers will add functionality, and most important, it brings integration with iCloud Photo Library. With Photos you can store your photo library in iCloud and sync it across all devices.
Some features are still missing however, and you can continue to use iPhoto, if you like. Or create a small Photos library for testing and explore Photos, while keeping your main libraries in iPhoto.

HELP!! Keep losing pictures in Notes App for Mac

I keep dragging .jpeg images into new Notes that I create. But when I come back to review the note; I find that instead of an image all I get is small blue box with a question mark in it . I can't find anything in the 'Help' for this application. Can somebody explain what I'am doing wrong... Many thanks in anticipation

Mine is working but I am using a photo that lives on the desktop at the moment.
Where is the photo you dragged into the window located?
Also, did you move the photo after you dragged it into the Note?

My photo stream folder in new Photos app for Mac

i tried to use and understand the new photos app for mac, and found that my photo stream folder is continuously hide (I didn't set my photos in the app to store to iCloud library), i don't know if this is a bug or something, the only way to fix the problem is to go to preferences and uncheck and recheck the photostream
anyone has the same problem? or how to fix this problem permanently?

At that size, what copied over is just the reference to the video file, not the video itself. Some suggestions:
1. In iPhoto, select the video, then in the File menu select Reveal in Finder. If this finds the original file, add it manually to Photos.
2. Perform a Spotlight search for the video file title/name. If found, move to Photos.
3. If you imported or modified the files in iMovie, launch it and find/export the originals from there.

The original Lion 10.7. is not avaialable for purchase from the App store or anywhere, even C-Net . Where can I find it to purchase?
Also it seems I cannot install Mountain Lion over 10.6.8 as advertised. When I go to purchase I get this message: "We could not complete your purchase. OS X Mountain Lion is not compatible with this computer." I think my computer can handle it (specs above) Are there any workarounds to this?

If you're getting a "This update requires Mac OS X version 10.7" message, than you have the updater and not the full installer. Go to your Purchases section of the Mac App Store and you should see the full version there. But it may be 10.7.5, though in my system is shows as being from 2011 which would appear to be the original version.
As to Mountain Lion, that's supported only on the Early 2008 Mac Pro or newer.

I've tried both. First, I tried on my pc, where iTunes had installed iCloud when it last updated. I have iTunes installed on this computer (and on my iPad and iPhone), but that wasn't the issue.
So I went online, thinking I needed a separate iCloud Apple ID, but it prompted me for my current Apple ID and gave me the message about my ID being "valid" but not an iCloud account," which, lol, was what it had asked me to do in order to create one. No on the book title, no problem there.
The issue is: my book pages appear as on white paper, no background that resembles a open book and also no option to change fonts. The book was created in iBooks author, there was a problem going with the "Publish" menu route so I was instructed my Apple to "export" the file and submit that. I think that's the problem after reading that iBooks author is a hybrid epub file.

Minimally you need Snow Leopard or greater:
