Getting the value of an out parameter

Hello,
I have the procedure
procedure GetRoutingNr(
    sid in number,
    product_code in varchar2,
    routing_nr out number
  ) is
    soap_msg VARCHAR2(32767);
    resp XMLType;
    txt_err varchar2(254);
    numews varchar2(32) := 'GetRoutingNr';
  begin
    soap_msg := build_GetRoutingNr(sid, product_code);
    resp := apelws(numews, soap_msg, sid);
    txt_err := parse_GetRoutingNr(resp, routing_nr);
  end;in package1
in another package, i have
procedure GetRes(puid_prodso number, pimsi out varchar2, ptip_aparat out varchar2, pnr_rutare out varchar2) is
  begin
    --pimsi := null;
    --ptip_aparat := null;
    --pnr_rutare := null;
    pnr_rutare := package1.GetRoutingNr(........)
  end;I know this does not work, but how can i assign a value for parameter pnr_rutare as 'routing_nr out number' parameter from procedure GetRoutingNr (first package)?
Thanks

Just supply it as the third parameter.
procedure GetRes(puid_prodso number, pimsi out varchar2, ptip_aparat out varchar2, pnr_rutare out varchar2) is
  begin
    --pimsi := null;
    --ptip_aparat := null;
    --pnr_rutare := null;
   package1.GetRoutingNr(... , ... , pnr_rutare)
  end;

  • A problem to get the value of a selected cell

    Hi all,
    I am trying to get the value of a cell in JTable. The problem that I have is ListSelectionListener only listens if the selection changes(valueChanged method).
    It means that if I select apple then rum, only rowSelectionModel is triggered, which means I do not get the index of the column from selectionModel of ColumnModel.
    apple orange plum
    rum sky blue
    This is a piece of code from JTable tutorial that I modified by adding
    selRow and selCol variables to keep track of the location so that I can get the value of the selected cell.
    Thank you.
    if (ALLOW_ROW_SELECTION) { // true by default
    ListSelectionModel rowSM = table.getSelectionModel();
    rowSM.addListSelectionListener(new ListSelectionListener() {
    public void valueChanged(ListSelectionEvent e) {
    if (e.getValueIsAdjusting()) return;
    ListSelectionModel lsm = (ListSelectionModel)e.getSource();
    if (lsm.isSelectionEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("No rows are selected.");
    } else {
    int selectedRow = lsm.getMinSelectionIndex();
    selRow = selectedRow;
    System.out.println("Row " + selectedRow + " is now selected.");
    else {
    table.setRowSelectionAllowed(false);
    if (ALLOW_COLUMN_SELECTION) { // false by default
    if (ALLOW_ROW_SELECTION) {
    table.setCellSelectionEnabled(true);
    table.setColumnSelectionAllowed(true);
    ListSelectionModel colSM = table.getColumnModel().getSelectionModel();
    colSM.addListSelectionListener(new ListSelectionListener() {
    public void valueChanged(ListSelectionEvent e) {
    //Ignore extra messages.
    if (e.getValueIsAdjusting()) return;
    ListSelectionModel lsm = (ListSelectionModel)e.getSource();
    if (lsm.isSelectionEmpty()) {
    System.out.println("No columns are selected.");
    } else {
    int selectedCol = lsm.getMinSelectionIndex();
    selCol = selectedCol;
    System.out.println("Column " + selCol + " is now selected.");
    System.out.println("Row " + selRow + " is now selected.");
    javax.swing.table.TableModel model = table.getModel();
    // I get the value here
    System.out.println("Value: "+model.getValueAt(selRow,selCol));
    }

    maybe you can try with :
    table.getSelectedColumn()
    table.getSelectedRow()
    :)

  • How to get the value of a parameter/field in a ADF Read-Only Form

    Hi,
    My requirement is as follows. Could anyone shed some light on this issue.
    I am showing the records from db table using ADF Read-Only Form ( which uses ViewObject created for the table). Now I want to capture(get) the value of a field in this form and then have to invoke an action based on the value in this field. I mean to say the next page depends the value of a field in this form.
    Please suggest how can I achieve this functionality?
    Thanks in advance.
    ~Sivaji

    That's indeed what Sivaji needs.
    In the page definition you can add a value to the parameters of a certain method. Like RJundi mentioned, point to the attribute of the current row.
    Example:
    The value of the read only textfield will be something like this:
    #{bindings.EmployeeName.inputValue}points to an attribute value in the pageDef of the page:
        <attributeValues id="EmployeeName" IterBinding="AllEmployees">
          <AttrNames>
            <Item Value="EmployeeName"/>
          </AttrNames>
        </attributeValues>The attribute value has also an iterator binding defined in the page def:
        <iterator id="AllEmployees" RangeSize="10"
                  Binds="AllEmployees" DataControl="MyService"/>If you want to 'pass' the attribute of the current row to the service, you can create a methodaction (eg: public void printEmpName(String name)) in the page def or you can drop the method from the datacontrol on to the page. After dropping the method, a screen will appear asking to fill in a value for the parameter ('name' in this example). Fill in '#{bindings.EmployeeName.inputValue}' if you want to pass the EmployeeName of the current row.
    Hope it helps,

  • Get the value of a parameter

    Hello,
       within the event "AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR <field x>" I have to call a function and need the value of other field (lets say field y), but in spite of the field y has a value it comes blank, If I press enter in the report then the field y does appear with his value.
    Anyone know a way to get this value without having to press enter in the report?
    Thanks very much for your help

    Try using DYNP_VALUES_READ to get the value of the field Y.

  • How Can I get the value of a variable name stored in another variable?

    I have a scenario wherein i get a record as %rowtype as input parameter into my function and i generate a dynamic sql to check the validity of a particular value in one of the columns of the input parameter record.
    I have a variable that stores the column name of input parameter record whose value is to be validated.
    The dynamic SQL looks like this:
    'Select empno from emp where empname = input_rec.'||v_colname
    While using Execute Immediate I get the error - Invalid Identifiier -'input_rec'.'ename'
    On Googling I found that the input parameter is out of the scope of the SQL that's being executed in the Execute Immediate.
    Is there any way I can get the value of ('input_rec.'||v_colname) so that I can pass it into the Execute Immediate with 'Using' clause?

  • How do I get the value for p_reference_path for the API wwpro_api_parameters.get_valu

    I have one report that lists a set of rows and has a link to
    drill down to another report. On the second report, I am trying
    to create a link to a form and pass the value received from the
    first report. I am trying to use the API
    wwpro_api_parameters.get_value but I cannot figure out how to
    get the value for the second parameter - p_reference_path.
    Here is my code which is found in the "Additional PL/SQL Code"
    section, "After displaying the Header".
    declare v_id varchar2(10);
    begin
    v_id := wwpro_api_parameters.get_value
    ('id', 'a');
    htp.anchor ('http://rrlehman-
    lap.us.oracle.com/pls/portal30/PORTAL30.wwa_app_module.link?
    p_arg_names=_moduleid&p_arg_values=1516531942&p_arg_names=_show_h
    eader&p_arg_values=YES&p_arg_names=FRM_ID&p_arg_values=' ||
    v_id, 'Create A Topic', NULL, NULL);
    end;
    No matter what I put in for the second variable,
    p_preference_path, I do not get a value for v_id. I have
    performed a search in the discussion forums and read all related
    threads but I still cannot get it to work.

    Please, note that the second parameter of the get_value function is the identifier of the portlet instance, called in the PDK as reference path.

  • Getting the value of j_user

    Hi all
    Im in a CRM EP implementation . the EP users are back end  CRM users(customers, reps etc) - basically sold-to's.
    I need to get the  value of EP user logged on to pass it as a parameter  to a R/3 transaction iview  & also  a .net application (as a sold-to party) .
    im logging on to these systems(r/3 & .net) as a common user like 'webuser' & passing them the EP userid
    can this be done non-programatically?
    something like  userid=<j_user.value>
    please help!!!!
    Thanks
    Prasad Badal

    I don't think it is very easy to get this solution out-of-the-box with premade sap iviews.
    You best bet I believe is to implement SSO using logon tickets and thereby getting the username from there.

  • NullPointerException - Cannot get the value from variable f_cashGiven

    In SubCheckout.java (a POS), what I want is when Payment button (f_cashPayment) is pressed, the action "Cash" is performed, get the value from Cash Given (f_cashGiven), do the subtraction and post the value as Cash Return (f_cashReturn). The code is filled in actionPerformed. But I cannot get the value by using f_cashGiven.getValue() from VNumber class. It returns NULL. This should be quite straight forward, but I do not know what is wrong. Please help!

    If getValue() returns null, you need to trace the execution of the code and figure out which sequence of code is leading to the return of null. This method looks complex - a lot of if statements. If you do not have a debugger, put System.out.println statements inside the method to figure out what's going on.

  • Swing: when trying to get the values from a JTable inside an event handler

    Hi,
    I am trying to write a graphical interface to compute the Gauss Elimination procedure for solving linear systems. The class for computing the output of a linear system already works fine on console mode, but I am fighting a little bit to make it work with Swing.
    I put two buttons (plus labels) and a JTextField . The buttons have the following role:
    One of them gets the value from the JTextField and it will be used to the system dimension. The other should compute the solution. I also added a JTable so that the user can type the values in the screen.
    So whenever the user hits the button Dimensiona the program should retrieve the values from the table cells and pass them to a 2D Array. However, the program throws a NullPointerException when I try to
    do it. I have put the code for copying this Matrix inside a method and I call it from the inner class event handler.
    I would thank you very much for the help.

  • How to get the values from object ?

    hi everybody,
    i am experimenting with oops concept. first have a look at these coding and then tell me this.
    what do i have to do to get the value of an object created. i want to use the get method to get the name, food and quantity, without the use of the created object. i mean i want to make the process independent of how many objects i make so that i can find a value given the name of a person in the object.
    when this is done, i want to use this to create filed of a specific doc format for each object created. now when we are using the get method i want to read whats on the object value .
    Am i being clear or are thing very confusing, please let me know wht u think so i can clarify myself more.

  • How to Get the values from Dynamic jasp page

    Hi,
    I have a jsp form page wherein i input the data form the user and get these values on the action servlet.
    But now i have added a feature to Add and Delete the Elements using javascript and this creates a dynamic form on the jsp page. I want to Get the values of these all elements at the Action servet.
    Please suggest the solution.
    Thanks,
    JavaQueue

    getParameterMap() returns a Map[1] with all parameters; the parameter name is the key and the value is the value of the parameter in the form of String arrays.
    You have to iterate over the Map and get values as you see fit. Search for a tutorial/ example/ sample for using Maps. I'm sure you'll find loads that will do a better job at explaining.

  • How to get the values of an Array using JSP Tags

    Hey guys,
    I need some help. I've splited a String using
    fn:split(String, delim) where String = "1,2,3,4" and delim is ,
    This method returns an Array of splited Strings. how do i get the values from this array using jsp tags. I don't wanna put java code to achive that.
    Any help would be highly appreciated
    Thanks

    The JSTL forEach tag.
    In fact if all you want to do is iterate over the comma separated list, the forEach tag supports that without having to use the split function.
    <c:set var="list" value="1,2,3,4"/>
    <c:forEach var="num" items="${list}">
      <c:out value="${num}"/>
    </c:forEach>The c:forTokens method will let you do this with delimiters other than a comma, but the forEach tag works well just with the comma-delimited string.
