Getting uncaught exception error when i start appworld. 'java.lang.noclassdeffounderror'

my appworld has stopped working.  I recently installed shazam for free from BB. was using and exited then tried to find a scanner app.  now getting this error. have pulled battery. have reinstalled appworld. my phone is a storm 9530 running v5.0.0.419 (platform 4.2.0.179).  Any ideas for a solution?
Also, believe i recently updated appworld (this morn).  Believe probem was already occuring last night.

Has had exactly the same problem like you. Tried reinstalling app world more than 10 times, even with a complete wipe but it still keeps giving that message. I was hoping to reinstall the older version of appworld I formerly had, may be my OS version does not support the uphgrade. if possible, could you please send me that link to dowload and install that older version please-I have been looking for such I have not seen. you can send it to my pin <removed>.
i'll appreciate that

  • Getting an "uncaught exception" error when trying to Scan a document via D-Link DPR-1260 print sever (worked in prior versions of Firefox)

I'm using the interface (Firmware V1.24) on a D-Link DPR-1260 Print Server, connected to an Epson Printer/Scanner. When I hit the "Scan" button, I get an "uncaught exception" error. This firmware has been working for years (at least back to Firefox 3.x), but no longer works with Firefox V6.0

Nothing really, but... The firmware runs in a web browser. It's been working fine for years and no longer works since I got the latest version of Firefox. It does, however, still work in IE (V9) so I do have a way to use my existing hardware.
I tried D-Link and Google search for any information about this, but came up empty. I was hoping that there might be similar problems with other software with Firefox 6.0.2 and someone might have a work-around or there might be a patch coming soon. At the very least, someone associated with Firefox might be interested that they've apparently broken something that used to work.

  • Uncaught exception error when entering in "Messages"

I have a client that uses a Blackberry World Edition (8830) and when he tries to go into Messages (by selecting the Messages icon) he gets this error message all the time: Uncaught Exception:java.lang.null.pointer
I tried 2 kind of resets, alt+caps+del and tried removing the battery while the BB is on and same thing, I did a hard reset, which is wipe the BB and client left me a message this morning that he still gets the same error message.
From my BES console (we synchronise with Domino servers on a Lotus Notes plattform) I see that he has the
    platform version 3.0.0.81
    Blackberry version: 4.2.2.196
His blackberry ues a Bell Mobility service.
Right now, the only other thing I can think of is to download the OS and reload it on the BB using Desktop Manager.
Can anyone help me with this please.  I appreciate all the help.

    * Update -- my client activated his blackberry with the BES this morning and sent me a message that, after the activation, the problem seems to be resolved.  Now, is there anything different that can be done in case  this happens again, we have over 800 blackberry users and most of them have the 8830 model.

    Hi,
Your troubleshooting actions were right on the money, as far as I can see.
HRT is the Host Routing Tables. It is entries sent from the Carrier.
When you highlight the above entry and hit register now, it registers it with the wireless network. Updates the device details onto the rim relay and sends down carrier specific icons or applicants
I believe the problem existed in a corrupt application on the users smartphone, by registering the phone, the application
was refreshed. This is the first time I have seen that particular exception message get resolved without a device
reload. (Just for reference I have read 133150 posts.)

  • Getting an exception error when adding a server to a cluster

I am using WL 6.0 and have configured a "Machine", two "Servers" and a
"Cluster", and I want to create two servers on a single machine in order to
              test some clustering issues.
I am using the default "myserver" as one of the servers. I have selected
the "machine" that I have configured in the "Machine" section for each of
              the servers.
In the ""Cluster Address" of the configured cluster I have typed the comma
seperated list of the IP's of the configured servers and ":7001".
Now when I go to add one server (the default myserver) to the cluster I get

Is this a conflict with some other JAR file, as there is quite the list of jar files that is in this application.
    Thanks, Michael

Solution: Delete all the build path and all under the deploy path - it must have retained some OLD jar files and was still looking at those...I did that and now it works just fine.

  • I am getting the following error: Unable to locate class: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: on an iPlanet WS. We have ensured that the classpath in jvm12.conf includes the jar file with path. Any ideas?

Well, now I'm pulling my hair out even more because I can't get it to resolve anything in jaxws-rt.jar at runtime. Note: compile-time still works FINE.
I was messing with classpaths and stuff (and the endorsed dirs option of course) and it was "working" to the extent I had posted before, but then I kept playing with it and at some point I said, this isn't working and I need to reset all this stuff back to the way it was.
... so I did that. And now it won't resolve "PolicyException:"
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/xml/ws/policy/PolicyException
This doesn't mean anything to you guys I bet, but that happens when it FIRST gets inside the web service code, which references PolicyException (doesn't even use it at that point.. I'm assuming the import is screwing it up when it's in the constructor). So now it won't resolve at all. Before, it was getting past this point and telling me the "method not found" error on the next line or this same error for WSBindingProvider two lines down, when it's actually being used. AWESOME.
I downloaded the latest jaxws-rt.jar and all its dependencies, shoved that into my lib folder, and set the endorsed dir to that folder (There's kind of a web of dependencies here. jaxws-rt.jar expects all its dependencies to be in the same folder, it seems, so I don't know how it was "working" before when I just copied jaxws-rt.jar into my separate endorsed dir - but I can't move all of those files to endorsed because I need them in my project (which expects them to be in the lib folder)). What happened? It went back to my original "String" error (first error in the first post), which means it's not getting endorsed at all from that location.
    What a mess.
Can someone tell me what the heck I'm supposed to do with this jar file?

    Hi Basha,
basically, your application is missing a java class. However, the proper way to connect to a database is discussed in this <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/thread?threadID=86307">thread</a>.
    Follow Detlev's advise:
<i>In general, using a J2EE server means that you have a DB connection pool at hand where you can attach your database and then retrieve the Datasource object from the JNDI. That way, you won't have to care about connection pooling etc, and using tools like oject-relational-mappers also is quite easy, for they also expect just the Datasource or even better the JNDI lookup name.</i>
You will find detailed information in the<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/bb/69da54d8aedc419d46d9ea074e4d41/frameset.htm">SAP Library</a>.

    Greetings nintel
This type of NI-MAX exception is associated with a corruption in some files of the NI-MAX and has been solved in the past by either removing a MAX database corruption or repairing the installation of NI-MAX. Have you tried going to Control Panel>>Programs and Features>>NI Software and repairing NI Measurement & Automation Explorer? Please let us know if any of those steps solve the problem. Samir!
ATG no longer needs licenses for its newer versions which limits the sessions in dev.
If you are using older versions than replace your licenses with generic unlimited licenses oracle provides.

Starting in 2015 I get the following error when I try to import my photos. "The following files were not imported because they could not be read"  -DSC8416.NEF  I've been importing the same type of photos with no errors then 2015 came along and now I can no longer import.

The error message is misleading, the problem is that you need WRITE privileges added to the destination directory tree.
Assuming you are using the "date" structure that LR defaults to, find the directory that contains the 2014 folder (the one that works) and add WRITE rights to the parent of "2014".
While you are there, if you want, add "2015" folder to beside "2014" and add READ and WRITE rights to that new directory.

I updated Itunes today to the latest version. Windows 7 64bit. None of my drivers work and get an error when itunes starts, about registry setting for reading and writing dvds and cds missing. Anyone else have the same issue. I downloaded itunes again, reinstalled still have same issue.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

If it is the first CS version then you will need to check out the following.  I believe it applies to CS as well even though it specifies CS2....

A "clicking noise" is often a sign that a hard drive is malfunctioning. Suggest that you power down the device and take it to an Apple store to have them take a look, or contact Customer Service at Apple for instructions.
