Getting unknown error -45054 looking for a solution
I am getting an "unknown error (-45054)" whenever I try to start Itunes. I tried to download and install a fresh copy but it did nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

This worked...found on a prior discussion:
Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from the following page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page)...

From the link above (near the top of the page)....Under 'download locations' click on 'download@majorgeeks'
To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you just downloaded and ran.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Restart your computer.
Re-download Itunes (latest version form Itunes website) and install. It worked! -

I found the problem. Do you have other wi-fi (w-lan) like repeater or tv-transmitter or d-link etc. if yes, please disconnect them once and try again after restarting the time-capsule resp. change the channel if you can to another one. then it should work again.
@ home i have a tv-transmitter via wi-fi and indeed, i changed the channel from 1 to 6 or something like that, then the iphone worked again. -
After taking days to upload elements 13 I am now having trouble even trying to import my images and videos into the program for editing. Each time I IMPORT files an error message comes up that says " ....has stopped working, we are looking for a solution to the problem and will notify you if a solution is found" I have not been able to edit ANYTHING or even drag files/images to the time line.... is it me? is my computer too slow? surely if it was, then Adobe elements 13 would not have installed in the first place? please someone help me sort this out as I have a deadline to make for a docco! thanks in advance Lyddy

I get "Unknown Error." when trying to re-log into the iTunes Store for Windows
My AppleID and password work when using a web browser and logging in here, but not when i try to log in through iTunes for Windows.
My events leading up to the error are below. Any suggestions for a fix/solution?
1) "Unauthorized Computer" message when trying to play newly bought iTunes movie.
2) Authentication Failed using AppleID
3) Sign out completely
3a) Try to sign in, but get "Unknown Error."
4) Uninstalled iTunes
5) Reinstalled iTunes
6) Login attempt: Unknown Error
7) Tried deleting "SC Folder" from User Tips
8) Login attempt: Unknown Error
Any thoughts on what I could do differently to get this resolved?How I solved my UNKNOWN ERROR login issue:
I figured out that I had downloaded the 32 bit version of ITunes but I have the 64 bit version of Windows 8. So I uninstalled the 32. and downloaded and installed the 64 bit version of ITunes and everything worked just fine. The Windows 8 firewall was not an issue.
How to determine your version of Win 8. Go to Control Panel, System & Security, then System and that screen shows the version.
I just brought home a new Toshiba laptop and was surprised to see that I have the 64 bit version. But pleased that I fixed the agrivating ITunes issue.

Thanks to the $15 Beamer, AirPlay streaming is still possible on Macs that do not support Airplay and mirroring.
Other solutions are the Air Parrot, StreamToMe, and AirServer. -
Firefox is my default browser on my new laptop, with OS Windows 7. I've now had several instances where a Windows popup comes up saying Firefox has developed a problem and may have to close. It also indicates Windows "is looking for a solution to the problem." No solution is found, however, and Firefox is forced to close, with the happy notice that Windows will let me know if it finds a solution to the problem. If there is any tech data on the crash, I'm not sure where to find it, and no Firefox crash report window comes up. I thought it was an anomaly the first time, but this has now occurred at least 4 times in the past several days.

I keep getting "Unknown Error while saving"
Using APE-11 on Windows 7- This error is a first for me, after many years of using Premiere. The product is a mix of photos (jpg and png), video clips (mpg-2 and mp4), and audio clips (all mp3). When I try to publish as Standard DVD- MPEG-2. I get the error. Error repeats saving as MP4. Error gives no location on the timeline where it is running into an obstacle to saving, so I do not know where to begin looking to remove repair or replace the item causing the 'unknown error'. The prel runs fine, start to finish, giving no indication that the save may run into a problem on final rendering.
I have tried many different options like rendering the entire timeline prior to saving, converting the clips to all be the same format, with no resolution to the problem.
I have worked many long hours for many weeks on this project, and I am not going to give it up, especially when the majority of the clips were created on APE in the first place, and the images are all Photoshop edited images

Also: Since first report, I have attempted render with all sound clips removed (easiest to to with hundreds of clips/photos), with no help. Same error appears.
I will continue removing aspects of the project until I get a completed save, or until I get an answer here!
After removing the sound and video clips, video saved ok, with blank spots where the missing video clips were. So I reopened the original prel file, and began checking them individually.
When I checked the clip properties, it correctly identified the path to the source video, but when I asked it to 'reveal in project', I got this error
So I assume this is where the SAVE error is happening, but as I am not an Adobe coder, I have no idea what it is telling me.
I did check to insure that the source video from which this clip originates, is in the project assets. I checked all the other clips as well, and any clip from this source video, generates the same error.
The source video runs fine on its own and is an mpeg-2 file.

You may try the list (skip 5) in this case).
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file, and when it is not caused by issues with opening a file from external media, see below. You may have tried/done some of them already; 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall (ticking the box to delete the preferences), run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Check for hardware issues
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the alert when you update or restore, contact Apple support.
Common errors: 1, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020.

I can't seem to download apps from the app store. I keep getting unknown error eventhough I have reset my apple id password repeatedly. With itunes I have no problem. This is VERY frustrating to say the least.

My crashing has seemed to have ceased with a revert to an older version. I noticed today that the newer crashing iTunes had been launched for hours but not playing anything, when I played internet radio it crashed within 5mins, fed up I reverted to an older version.
Btw, a simpler way to do this is to revert to older iTunes app, then hold Option when it launches and choose an older library.
