I'm currently using Ubuntu and Ubuntu's Firefox gets updated from Canonical. How can I change this? I mean I want to get updates from Mozilla and not from Canonical

Nevertheless, I have to repeat that I have ALREADY INSTALLED the Firefox 35.0.1 in my computer and ALLOWED IT TO PROCEED.
The same edition is prompting me back again, and again and again, within a day, each day. I get that annoying message at the top-right hand.
I do not want to see it every time, multiple times a day, that is the issue here, unresolved!

IP routing doesn't work the way many folks might initially think it does; functional IP routing requires manual configuration and the establishment of static routes and default routes specific to the local network configurations, and it's very easy to get it wrong, or to get the default route swapped. Multiple NIC boxes don't magically work, either. (Been there, done that, wondered what happened to my network when the paths got reordered or my route settings were messed up, etc.)
Routing configuration errors can be quite subtle, too. (Again, voice of experience. Ever had a thousand-seat office LAN accidentally routing through your desktop? As the, um, unnamed guilty party discovered, getting into that configuration was subtle. Seeing the performance crater on the fellow's box and on the LAN was obvious.)
Knowing how IP routing works is a prerequisite to getting this configuration to work; there's manual configuration required. Clearly something has gone weird here.
What to do? Read up on IP routing. I'll again suggest the threads and the manual mentioned earlier.
And in general, I prefer to avoid using my comparatively expensive Mac boxes as sub-optimal IP routers or as firewall boxes. General-purpose operating systems and generic x86 boxes are going to be inherently poor IP routers. Dedicated routers (or embedded or surplus x86 boxes with routing software loaded) offload the Mac boxes here, and are also typically easier to configure manage. And "real" IP routers can have hardware specific to efficiently routing packets. Use of an outboard firewall or firewall-router box also greatly simplifies gateway routing, too; it's a configuration that many folks and many businesses tend to use.

OSX - SCEP Agent - Where does it get updates from?

Really simple question that I simply cannot find an answer to.
Where does the OSX version of the System Center Endpoint Protection agent download it's updates from?
For Windows clients we have it set to get updates from SCCM and then failback to Microsoft Update. In SCCM I can see those updates because they are auto-approved to our Software Update Points. Does the OSX agent use SCCM and the same update definitions
or does it just always use Microsoft Update??

It doesn't use Windows Update or SCCM at all it is updated directly from the cloud.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to know if the MySite is needed for following content and getting updates of the followed content.
When users follow documents, sites, or tags, status updates from documents, conversations on sites, and notifications of tag use show up in users’ newsfeed, so users need to their MySite to view the updates in Newsfeed by OOB and you need
to migrate the MySite to SharePoint 2013.
However, we can also use APIs to programmatically follow content, please refer to the link below:

Clients getting updates from Primary Site~~~SCCM 2012 R2

Hi Guys,
I have one Primary site and 3 DP, And there are lots of branch and we have enable branch Cache using GP.
But i have observed some of my clients not getting updates from respective DP they are directly coming on primary site for updates. In my environment ADR is running for updates.

I used to have a "flag" in my browser that allowed me to identify IP's. It recently disappeared. Did I get it from Mozilla?

A couple of moths ago I added an "add-on" to my browser window that allowed me to identify and locate IP addresses of sites I was visiting. I think it was called "flag"-something. Recently it has disappeared (probably during a "system restore" session, many of which I seem to need because my OS is VISTA) Did I get this from you? If so how do I get it back? If not, can you direct me to its link or site?
ON A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT MATTER: I keep getting pop-ups from you asking me to upgrade to Firefox 5. I would greatly appreciate it if you would stop sending them. I am PERFECTLY HAPPY with 4 and 5 is not compatible with some of my other programs.

SO is getting updated from PO thru ME59N

We have an issue here , our client is creating automatic PO from ME59N , but to the surprise he found that a new line item has been inserted into the corresponding sales order for which the PO was created.
The sales order had only 1 line item initially -- with some Purchase req no
Later after running ME59N, a new line item got inserted in the Sales order
But PO got created with single line item which was initially present in SO.
Can any one help me, why the SO is getting updated with the new line item?
or where can i see this issue.
Moreover this is issue is coming in the producion server , so i cant debug the issue as well.

Hi,
I have a feeling there is some configuration which controls if (and any) changes should get copied back to related documents - you might like to discuss this with your functional consultant.
Failing that, run a SQL trace and see if the update is occurring as a result of a customer enhancement - if it's the sales order being updated then look out for the VB* table updates in the trace.

How a variable in C++ gets updated from calling a labview dll running in a loop?

I have created a dll which is called from a C++ program. The dll has been created from a vi which continuously runs in a loop (this is necessary because I need to control some hardware in real-time). When I call the function from C++ I can see the front panel of the vi working properly, i.e. all variables are updated in real time on the labview panel (which I will set as not visible once i get this problem sorted out).
However, I can't get the variables' values getting updated in my C++ program and I need these values to change in which way the hardware should behave ... is there any example somewhere in which something similar has been done? I have seen some examples where a dll is called from C++ with a vi function but not running in a loop. In these examples, the vi function passes the datum to the C++ software once is finished ...

I have already an inter-process communication, where there are two threads running in parallel. In one thread the C++ code is running while in the other the LabVIEW code is running. The labview function is passing the "output" variables as pointers too.

When I run the C++ code I can see both threads working by seeing data being updated in C++ front panel (data that belongs to C++) and in labview fron panel (data that belongs to labview). However, when I try to use any of the outputs coming from labview I can't get them updated....

Endpoint Protection clients no getting updates from SCCM 2012 in new Secondary Site

I recently stood up a secondary site behind a PCI firewall to manage PCI in-scope systems. All of my boundaries are properly configured and there are no overlaps. I am able to push packages to these clients and the clients are reporting as healthy however
I am not able to get updates to the SCEP clients. There is no internet access from these systems so I have to rely on updates from SCCM. From what I can see in the WindowsUpdate log it is only trying to go to Microsoft for the definitions. Here is the Log:

The log is from a Server 2012 R2 Client. The only thing I was able to find was this Article which did not resolve my issue. Anyone else encounter anything similar? Any help would be appreciated.

Every two hours is too aggressive for the ADR. Definitions are only released 2-3 times a day so every 8 hours is what most consider best practice. Is your WSUS sync occurring every two hours as well? If not, then the ADR wouldn't have anything new to pick
up anyway. It's best to set the WSUS sync for every 8 hours and then set the ADR to run after any successful WSUS sync.
So the EP definitions are caching but not installing? What does the WUAHandler.log show? One of my machines shows the following which indicates a successful installation from the ConfigMgr delivered update:

It sounds like if you set "Check for Endpoint Protection definitions at a specific interval" to 0 then it would prevent the WindowsUpdate.log activity you're seeing when the EP client tries to reach out for updates.

Recently upgraded to Maverick from SnowLeopard. Unable to get updates from App store.

iMac seriously screwing up. HD corrupted. Erased. Installed Maverick (had SnowL before). iPhoto 11 and iMovie 9.0.4both missing after installing Maverick. Downloaded updates from Apple.com and was able to get pictures and movies back and updated to 9.4 for iPhoto and 9.0.4 for iMovie. Got message that both can be updated more. However when I tried, the App store sent message that with my new Apple ID it was bought by different user or the item was refunded or cancelled. True I had changed my password recently, but App store is not getting it.

I too was being denied updates to iPhoto and was intending to simply delete the apps as I mainly use Photoshop.

I went into my account hit reset and then went to install and it worked, I now have iPhoto 9.5.1!
I probably still won't use it very much but it was maddening being denied the update.

That error may result from connecting to a cellular network via a phone or mobile broadband device. If that's what you're doing, try another network.

Software Update via Unix command but get updates from my OS X server?

I have a OS X server which I use to manage how software update runs on the clients. Currently when you run software update from the client it connects to the server and downloads what it needs which is much faster than downloading it via the internet each time.
now, I would like to run a unix command via ARD that would run software update against the local server. Does anyone know the correct syntax for this? Running softwareupdate -l -a does not work. Thanks

I'm also in the process of getting my Xserve setup as an internal software update server. I haven't gotten to the point of testing this yet, but I was under the impression that once the clients were managed, any software update command would force the clients to retrieve their updates from your internal server as specified in the MCX settings.

Can't get updates from Mac App Store

I changed my password. Now, I can't get updates to apps bought using the old PW. Error msg: "Download using your other account." What "other" account? Change back to the old PW and download the upgrades, then go back to the new PW?

After I reset my password, Mac App Store told me to sign in to my account and verify that I had a valid method of payment set up. Naturally, I do have such a method. But Done does't work because I have to verify an account that, according to MY Account, is already verified. But, what the hey? Apple has my back against the wall. I re-verify it. Apple says, "Account verified. Return to App Store."
Nothing has changed. I verify my MOP again. I get the same good news.
Nothing has changed. I give up for the night..
Today, I open up Mail. Two messages from Apple. Each says that my account has been de-authorized. That is, each time that I "verified" my MOP, I was, somehow, actually DE-verifying it!
So, I set up a new MOP with no apparent probs, except that,
MOP?!!! What MOP?! !'ve ALREADY PAID! What does it matter whether I have an MOP, if I'm not BUYING anything?!!! But, what are you going to do?
All right. I've now completely redone everything, including deleting App Store with Amnesia and doing a whole 'nother install.

As far as I can tell, the trouble started after I put in a new password - before I knew that I was going to have a problem - after having used the old one from the opening of the MAS. Everything that had an update from after that date is updated. The fifteen non-updatables are from before the password change.

Windows Server 2012R2 fails to get update from WSUS with error code 80072ee6

I've deployed WSUS role on a Windows Server 2012R2 machine. WSUS listen on port 8530. Now I'm trying a test server (this machine runs WIndows Server 2012R2 too). I've configured a GPO but when I try to check for updates I get the errore in the subject.

You receive a "80072EE6" error code when you download an update from Windows Server Update Services in Windows 7-based or Windows Server 2008 R2-based
