  • How can I get videos from iTunes US, living in Switzerland?

    Hi guys =)
I have already pre-ordered the iPod Touch and alomost can't wait until the 2nd October =P
Well, I am a big fan of Dr House and Desperate Housewives. I saw that I cannot buy videos on the swiss iPod Store.
I wanted to know how I could get videos from the US iTunes Store. Is that possible? And if it is do I need a credit card or a gift card?
Hope it'll be clear enough... Usually I don't explain the things very clearly =P
    Thanks for your help

Deggie - what is better fraud or theft? To get video content on my iPod Touch I'm going to have to resort to one or the other. Your ethical advice would be appreciated....I spent 500 EUR on this, now I want my money's worth.

  • Can't get video from itunes to nano!

    Hi Everyone,
I just purchased a new Nano (4th gen) and am very frustrated (may take it back) becuase I can't seem to get video (mp4 and/or m4v format) to load onto my nano. I have used Handbrake to convert from ISO to mp4 and can successfully get the video into itunes HOWEVER, i cannot get the video onto my new nano! There is no error message as others have posted, when I attempt to drag and drop the video it just displays the circle with line indicating its not possible to add the video to the nano!
Does anyone know how to do this...I am so frustrated!!
    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to AD!
New nanos are set for auto sync, by default. With the nano plugged, in, go to the iPod's the Movie tab and tell it to sync that movie, instead of dragging it over.

  • Cant get video into itunes

i Have a video i downloaded of the net and i cant even get it into itunes to put it onto my ipod!
i have a few different movies and i cant get any format into itunes!! some one please help me!!!!

It might help if you first understsand what the 5th gen IPOd can play and what it cannot. Then you'll find out that your videos will need to be converted using a combination of different software depending on your video files format.
IPod can play the following video formats:
    H.264 video
File formats: .m4v, .mp4 and .mov
Video: Up to 768 Kbps, 320 x 240 pixels, 30 frames per second, Baseline Profile up to Level 1.3
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio
    MPEG-4 video
File formats: .m4v, .mp4 and .mov
Video: Up to 2.5 Mbps, 480 x 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile
Audio: AAC-LC up to 160 Kbps, 48 KHz, stereo audio
What are your videos files fomat? MPEG, WMV, AVI MOV

  • How to get Videos in itunes/ipod??

Maybe I'm just a moron, but how do I get videos to upload to itunes? First of all, when I click over to the movies tab in itunes, the screen is black. Unlike the music section, where there are songs listed, or at least a blank page, the screen is simply black. I've tried dragging movies onto the screen- nothing. I've tried going through the file menu and adding a file- nothing. Nothing will change the black screen. I've heard that sometimes movies aren't compatable with itunes and you need a different format? Could that be the problem? My movies are in windows media player. Anyway, please help me. Thanks in advance.

The key to getting videos to appear in the MOVIES or the TV SHOWS libraries is the dropdown "Video Kind" menu in the file info. Right-click a video and choose Get Info. On the Video tab, choose the video kind.

    Hey,
Can anybody help me with my problem.
I can't get any video in iTunes. It's a mpeg4 video file. I tried everything, drag and drop, import, add to library.
I also tried sending a movie from iMovie to iTunes and I the is not in iTunes when he should be.
I can't thing of anything that is wrong, I also re-instaled itunes, updated itunes, empty the cashes folder.
And then again tried everyting I already sed before and ... nothing.
    Can anybody help me.

Me too, I can't watch any video in my pod-casts ever since I upgraded to 702. No one seems what's wrong.
If I want to watch a pod-cast, I click on it and press Command R, this will bring the file in a finder window, click on the file and press control and choose Open With (VLC) and only then I can watch a pod-cast with video.
    Can anyone help us?

  • How to get videos into itunes

i have some music videos in realplayer, is there a way to get them into itunes? i can go to them and click 'open' but it doesn't do anyting. any suggestions?
and also, there are 2 other videos that i put in realplayer's favorites, but when i search for them in itunes, (or any other music software) they don't show up, why is this and how and i get them to show up?
and when i try opening the videos in quicktime 7, it says they aren't movie files.
    thanks for any help

    okay here it is.
1.go to google, search for videora, find the videora converter (thats free) DOWNLOAD IT
    2. start up the videora converter and click transcode new video, find the video in your files from ares/limewire or whereever and click it.
    3. see the thing beside it that says "New transcoding", once you've clicked a file from #2 press START (do not fiddle with the settings they make it so that your ipod reads the information)
    4. it will take minutes to hours depending on how big the file is.
    5. once it is CONVERTED (be patient) : go to itunes click file at the top -> go to add file to library .
    6. okay your file is in a folder that looks something like this: C:\Program Files\VideoraiPodConverter\Videos . therefore you need to find wherever you uploaded your program (videora) and find the file
labelled "videoraipodconverter" (unless you changed it)
    7. once you find this file (in program files most likely) click on "videos" and your video should be there, uploaded and converted
    8. there, you're done and it should play both sound and video on your ipod
okay, so enough topic dicussions about this.
please leave comments where i am too vague or it doesn't work and happy holidays
PS: if you're downloading from a CD or DVD you have to save it in a file before you can convert it. Try saving it in "my music"
THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE FOR windows XP not MAC
    thanks,

  • Getting Video from iTunes to iPod

I purchased an iPod for video. I've downloaded TV shows from iTunes but can't watch them on the iPod. iTunes says it can't convert the files.

Any videos you buy from the iTunes store will work on the iPod. If you're trying to put videos on there that aren't from the iTunes store and are not in the supported format, you must convert them. You can do this by right-clicking on the video in iTunes and choosing the option to convert to iPod video.
There are also many third-party applications that can do this as well. Search versiontracker.com for those.

  • How do I get videos from itunes to my iphone?

Okay so, I have videos uploaded to itunes and they are under the films tab, but when i sync my iphone they dont go to my videos? Does anyone know how I can get them to my phone? thanks

No - that is your iTunes application preferences.
With your iPhone connected to iTunes, select your iPhone under Devices in the iTunes source list to bring up your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes in the main iTunes window. Under the Movies tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes, select Sync Movies and select the movie or movies below that you want transferred to your iPhone followed by a sync.
Have you never owned and iPod? If so, the same applies for syncing an iPhone with iTunes as with an iPod.

  • Cannot get videos into iTunes

I already did the test that this website suggests to make sure that video can play on the iPod. Everything worked fine, but now I can't get any other videos on my computer to copy into iTunes so I can use it on my computer.
I have NO idea what to do. I've done everything I can think of, using Real Player, Media Player and what not. I've spent hours going through this website and I still have no answers. Any help would be great.
    Thanks.

It's worth trying to use one of the applications below to convert your videos before trying to add to the library.

  • Get videos into itunes..?

I got the videora and I transcoded a few of my videos to see if it would work. Then I went into ITunes and clicked 'Add File to Library' and found the file and clicked on it. But it didn't put the video in the videos section of ITunes. Is there something special that I have to do so the movies will show up in the Videos section and to get them onto my ipod?

It's worth trying to use one of the applications below to convert your videos before trying to add to the library.

  • Getting video from itunes into imovie

I have converted my home dvd using Handbrake into iTunes. Now I don't know how to edit it. I try to drag it into imovie but it won't let me. It seems it is saved now as a mpeg4. Can anyone please help me?

    Hi
There's most certainly an elegant ways to do this.
There is also a raw one.
You need QuickTime Pro (may be MPEG Streamclip can do it)
Find Your movie in iTunes library on Your hard disk
    Open it in QuickTime
Export it out as StreamingDV .mov file

  • Get video in itunes

I used the movei converter everyone reccomends for mac. It converted my movie but it won't open in itunes.
Now I searched and ppl said to use quicktime to export the movie but I don't have qucktime pro. is there away around it?

Oh Okk. I Gues I can try again with teh 2 pass coding
thats the only thing I don't remember putting a check
    in.
Just be aware, as someone else already said that this will add time to the already very long time it takes you to convert. In fact, it will nearly double the time it takes.
I've found that while the 2pass does give better quality, the difference is nevertheless almost unnoticeable and might not be worth the extra trouble with a slow computer.
If you do decide to use it, try leaving the computer to run at night.
