Getting videos to load into iTouch

I'm praying someone can help me with this. I have a ton of .wmv files that i need to get loaded onto my iTouch. Very frustrating. If my current information is correct, apparently i need to convert the .wmv files to MPEG4 files for the videos to run properly on the iTouch. Of course all the "freeware" out there really isn't free. I purchased Quicktime Pro but that doesn't seem to handle what i need it to do. Any suggestions? I'm desperate to get these videos downloaded to my iTouch immediately or my boss is gonna squash me!! I thank you all in advance for your guidance.

go to your e drive by clicking the folders button near the top of the screen in control panel, if it's not on your e drive just look around the outline, it shouldn't be too hard to find or recognize

What tools and where did you download the dmg from? Is there not an installer in the dmg?
If it is something like the Graphics tools dmg from Apple you can put the programs wherever you want. I put them in /Applications/Graphic Tools
other binary programs can be installed similarly

In my experience with a Flip Mino looks like it's going to work and starts out well when "Importing from Camera"but eventually it's clear that the imported clips are incomplete. The same experience has been reported in this "Community."
The FlipShare application wil import them onto your computer or you can simply drag the files inside the camera's DCIM folder onto the computer and import the files from there.
I'm recalling this process so there may be errors but I'm pretty sure that it's basically right.

Videos Wont Load Into ITunes

Everytime I try and load a video into Itunes either by dragging and dropping or the add file to library my computer freezes for about 30 min. When it unfreezes the video doesnt show in Itunes. Any ideas? The videos are in the mp4 format so I know theyre compatable.

are you getting any sort of blue screen? if so, what numerical and text codes are you getting with it? (ie 0x[zeros/letters/numbers] CAPSANDUNDERSCORES)
if the blue screen mentions a specific file, let us know what that is called too. (exact spelling, please.)

How can I get video media .MOD into Premiere El. 9?

Videos from my Canon 7d camera and from my Canon ADCHD camcorder (both SD cards) are .MOD files. I open Premiere Elements 9 and click GET MEDIA and it won't recognize the files. It says it cannot open the videos because:
"your system does not have the required compression/decompression codec installed."
When I bought this software a service rep assured me that it would take .MOD files. Why weren't these codecs installed with the program? How can I get these videos to work with Premiere Elements 9?

First, I apologize - I meant .MOV files, not .MOD files. I did download the Quick Time update. Then other problems arose:
Per an e-mail from a forum member, I downloaded an update of QuickTime, which should let me open .MOV files.
Inserted an SD memory card from my Canon camcorder. I selected FLASH, ADCHD... Then GET MEDIA.
Thumbnails appeared labeled MOV001.MOD and ascending numerical order. Then Premiere stopped working and a message appeared:
There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\device\Harddisk1\DR1
So I must have picked the wrong device category?
I couldn't close the error message or the software so used the Task Manager to get out of it.
After a couple more tries I gave up.
Then I tried my DSLR Canon 7d CF memory card. Selected NEW FILE. Clicked on "edit settings" and chose DSLR > GET MEDIA. The downloader began. Up came another message.
Download failed because the files are TOO LARGE.
These are CR2 (RAW) PHOTOS. Do I have to change the format to .jpg or .psd in Photoshop Elements first?
Any suggestions?

How to get video from DVD into FCE?

I have a DVD which I got from a childhood friend. The DVD contains a compilation of old film clips (her family had old super 8 movies transferred to DVD). I'm trying to import the clip (it's one long video clip, 30 mins long) into FCE for editing. But, when I try to import, all I see on the DVD is one file folder labeled VIDEO_TS; this folder contains eight files with strange suffixes, such as .IFO, .VOB, and .BUP, none of which are accessible. Anyone have any idea how I can get the files into Final Cut Express?

Hi again, Martin. I did the 'conversion', and it appeared something was happening (i.e. a 'progress bar' showed that something was going on, and it took about 20 mins or so. So, I figured it was doing the conversion. Once done, a 'play' button appeared, but when I pressed it, nothing happened. Does that sound like I'm missing the MPEG2 Playback Component?
Note: I noticed during the conversion an indication that the file, about 2 gigs seemed to be being created, but for the life of me, I don't know where the file went (i.e. I don't know where (or even if) it was stored on my computer). Anyways, the process seems not to have worked. I guess, as you said, I'll need to purchase the Playback Component?

Elements 10 - How do I get video media imported into the timeline to be visible?

When any video media is imported into Premiere elements 10 I get a white screen (i.e. no video) and only the audio plays. It does not matter if the files are Mpeg4 or mts. I have routinely used Elements 9, 10 & 11. This is a new 64bit machine and this is the only time this has occurred.

Cant get videos to load

Cleaned cache using ccleaner and delted too many cookies. I am running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. Videos on Cnn.com show ads but no video news content. BBC games do not open. Ads and games on addictinggames.com do not appear. Happens with both IE9 and FF19.0. No problem with Youtube. Installed latest from Flash. IE9 keeps asking me to install Flash but does not recognize after flash is installed.

I am having the exact same issue - CNN.com videos will not load after the advertisments. I don't think my issue is caused by cookie deletion. I believe I started having this issue after I reset my global flash settings. I am wondering if removing the audio and video licenses caused the problem, although I didn't think I had any licenses on my computer to worry about losing.
I'm runing:
I7 MacBook Pro, Mountain Lion 10.8.2, Safari 6.0.2, Flash Plug-in version 11.6.602.171

I can't get video to export into my pdf

I can import a video which plays fine in Acrobat Pro but when I go to save it as a pdf the video disapears in the pdf document. But, all other text related changes come through as expected.
I've tried flv's and h.264's with no luck from either.
I'm on a mac
I'm using Acrobate Pro XI.
Any ideas what is wrong?

Your workflow's not clear from your question - how are you embedding the video, is it a local file or a web URL, and what settings are you using to save the PDF?

There is also a raw one.
You need QuickTime Pro (may be MPEG Streamclip can do it)
Find Your movie in iTunes library on Your hard disk
Open it in QuickTime
Export it out as StreamingDV .mov file

Loading into the library at runtime?

I have built a flash animation (for a web site) that requires a number of decent quality JPG images. I don't display all of these at the start, so I don't want to wait for them all to load before starting the animation. Thus I want to be able to load these images in the background - the obvious process would involve MovieClipLoader.loadClip() method. This works fine if I am loading into an INSTANCE of a moveclip (either existing on the stage or one that I creat in actionscript) - but I really want to load into a library movieclip.
The problem is that I end up using these images in two different movies on the stage - each pulls from a movieclip in the library (that contains the image I want). So my original thought was simply to load (using loadClip()) into the library movie - which in turn would show up in the two stage movieclips that have this library clip in the timeline. However, I cannot seem to get loadClip() to work with a library object.
I tried exporting the library movieclip to actionscript (giving it a name) - but loadClip() doesn't seem to want to load into it. I can only get loadClip() to load into an instance that exists on the stage.
Sorry if I am asking a stupid question - I don't do a lot of flash programming - although I have extensive programming experience in other languages.
So can this be done? Is there another way to accomplish what I want to do?
I can easily load into an instance of a movieclip - but I don't want to load each image twice (into two different movieclips that I need to manipulate) - hence my desire to load into a single library object that end up having multiple instances on the stage.
My other thought was to load into an instance and then COPY that instance to the second instance. But I can't seem to find a way to copy one clip into another clip?
Any pointers would be very much appreciated.
Just to clarify, here is an example.
* I have several library movieclips (call them clip1, clip2, clip3... ) which contain a single frame with a JPG image in that frame.
* I have a library movieclip called bkgnd which has 10 frames in it. Each frame has an instance of the different clips above (e.g. frame 1 has clip1 in it, frame 2 has clip2 in it, frame 3 has clip3 in it etc). At run time, this move is manipulated through gotoAndStop() to display a particular image.
* I use this bkgnd library movieclip in TWO places on the real stage (two instances). Each is controlled through actionscript to display particular frames (particular images) through the gotoAndStop() method.
* I want to be able to load the individual images at runtime - my thought was to use loadClip() to load JPG files into the clip1, clip2, clip3... library clips. However, loadClip() doesn't seem to want to load into a library clip.

Thank you. I was able to use the bitmap class draw function to accomplish what I wanted.
It got pretty convoluted though. Used actionscript on instances of hidden movies to initiate the loading.
Had a loader bar on images when they are used - but wanted them to load asynchronously in the background (use the first while others are loading).
There are lots of little "gotchas" with this stuff, and while flash is very powerful, it is difficult to document / take apart. Because action script is all over the place and interacts in very funny ways, it can be very complicated to figure out how all the timelines mesh and what code is running when.
I have to say I am quite disappointed in a few items - one of which is that if you associate actionscript with a particular item on the stage (a movie clip), you don't see it highlighted in the timeline and you don't see it on the movie inspector. It is kind of hidden out there unless you know to look for it.
