Getting Warning while adding Dimension table to FACT LTS

Hi,
While i am applying join betwwen fact and Dimension at BMM level, i am getting warning as there is no join with Fact Source, even though i provided join there.
Can any one help in this.

Hi
Make sure you have set the Content Level of all LTS of all Fact Tables...
Double click on LTS of fact, go to Content Level --> change to Logical Level to 'Column (or) Detail Level'
then u will not get warnings..

Hi,
Controls might exist on this model.
To check for the existing Controls.Goto Aministartion-->Rules -->Controls . After you adding the new dimension you have to revisit the controls which were already existing.

Warning while adding new ECC

I am getting error while adding new ECC variable in ICM. PFB the error message.
" The Maximum size of all Expanded Call Variable in the Computer Telephony Integeration Server is 2500 bytes. Saving these schanges would require 2795 bytes.
will this hamper the performance of the system..?

Hi, no, it will not work at all, so no worries about system performance.
Why are you adding a new ECC variable when the system tells you it wont fit?

Check that the Output Post Processor service is running.Check OPP Cm are up and run. Please also check logs for can see why you are getting this message

Hi Alex,
If u want to see the content of Dimension table and Fact table for a infocube then just right click on a particular info cube then select manage . Select coneten tab there , form there u can either select Fact table to see the fact table conten or Infocube content to see the Dimensiontable content.

SAPu2019s BW is based on "Enhanced Star schema" or "Info Cubes" database design.This database design has a central database table, known as u2018Fact Tableu2019 which is surrounded by associated dimension tables.
Fact table is surrounded by dimensional tables. Fact table is usually very large, that means it contains
millions to billions of records.
These dimension tables doesn't contain data it contain references to the pointer tables that point to the master data tables which in turn contain Master data objects such as customer, material and destination country stored in BW as Info objects. An InfoObjects can contain single field definitions such as transaction data or complex Customer Master Data that hold attributes, hierarchy and customer texts that are stored in their own tables.
SID is surrogate ID generated by the system. The SID tables are created when we create a master data IO. In SAP BW star schema, the distinction is made between two self contained areas: Infocube & master data tables/SID tables.
The master data doesn't reside in the satr schema but resides in separate tables which are shared across all the star schemas in SAP BW. A numer ID is generated which connects the dimension tables of the infocube to that of the master data tables.
The dimension tables contain the dim ID and SID of a particular IO. Using this SID the attributes and texts of an master data Io is accessed.
The SID table is connected to the associated master data tables via teh char key.
Fact table(Transaction data,DIM ID)<>Dimention Table(SID and Dim ID)<->Masterdata table(SID,IO)

Consistency Warning: [39008] Logical dimension table ... has a source ...

I have a problem (which is quite common as I saw, though I could'nt find a solution which resolves my issue yet) with the consistency.
My physical layer looks like this:
Table_A
Table_B
Table_C
Table_D
Table_E
In the Business Model I have just the same tables and the following joins in the Logical Table Diagram:
Table_A -> Table_B
Table_C -> Table_A
Table_D -> Table_A
Table_E -> Table_A
The consistency check is delivering the following two warnings:

While working in BI answers I manage to retrieve all data from Tables C, D, E. But for tables A and B I can retrieve just the columns which are defined in the join Table_A->Table_B. All other columns deliver the following error:

If i retrieve one Column from Table_A and one from Table_E, I have the following error:

I would like to fix this errors but am not sure where the problem is hidden.

I tried to create the BMM in the two way but, it doesn't work out neither way. The Administration tool is recognizing the repository as consistent, thought it has some warnings, but in BI Answers I cant retrieve even a single column from one table.
I am also not sure, how does it work, that you just add TableB to the logical TableA, who would the programm know which rows belong together? I assume one must establish a logical connection between TableA and TableB to make it compatible?
About my tables:
Actually TableA, TableB and TableC are recognized dimensions (white) and TableD and TableE are recognized as facts (yellow) in the Administration tool. Though I dont agree with this assignment. TableA is definitly a fact table (it is also the center of the star schema) while the other tables are the dimension tables. Not sure how the Administration tool is distinguishing between facts and dimensions...
Here are my warnings:

Regarding Dimension Table and Fact table

I am having basic doubts regarding the star schema.
Let me explain first regarding star schema.
Fact table containes Key fiigures and Dim IDs,Ok,
These DIm ids will be connected to my dimension tables.The Dimension table contains Characterstics and these Dim ids ,Ok.
Then My basic doubt
1.How does DIm id will be linked to SID tables
2.If I have not maintained any master data or text or Heirachies then SID tables will it be generated or not?
3.If it is generated I think there is use of This SID now..as we have not maintained Master data.
4.I am haing 18 characterstic which are no way related to each other in that scnerio how does Dimensions have to identified.?or we need to inclued whole chracterstics in one dimensions or we need to create seprate dimesnions for each of them..?(max is 13 dimensions)
5.If Dimension table contains dim ids and characterstics then where does the values for characterstics will be stored...?
( for ex..sales rep is characterstics for this we will be giving values some names where does these values will be stored..)

Warning [39008] : Logical dimension table...

Hi all,
in OBIEE we have a fact table linked in Physical Layer to 20 dimensions. I've created hierarchies for 15 dimensions but when I check consistency I receive the warning BUSINESS MODEL <bmname>:
+[39008] Logical dimension table <tname> has a source <tsource> that does not join to any fact source.+
The error refers to the 5 tables that don't have any hierarchy.
Have I to create hierarchies for these 5 tables too (even with a total and a detail view only)?

Hi, thank you for your response. I have also found a doc showing that if I change the "Aggregation Content" in LTS from "Logical Level" to "Column" it works and you have no need to create dimensions for all objects. I don't know the impact of this.

Getting error while adding a custom field (with input help) through AET

Hi All,
I need to add two custom field under Service orders at Item level in component BT140I_SRVP.
One field is required to have the input search help f4 and autopopulates the second field
I am able to add one field(not requiring help) successfully through AET .
I have created one Zsearch_help in se11 and its successfully running while I am testing it
While adding fsecond field through AET,I need to enter following details as -
field label,search relevant ,serach help etc.
When I type the name of my 'Zsearch_help' against field search help it gives me following error
'Search help is not compatible'.
Please help me out.Kindly be detailed as I am new to SAP CRM.

Dimension Table and Fact Tables

Hi,
Is there any way to see the Dimension Table contents and Fact Table Contents.
For eg:- I should be able to see the DIM ID and the SID's of a Dimension.

Well you can see them in SE11, by giving the table name.
Go to list schema and give the cube name. It will display all the table for that cube. Give the table name in SE11 or SE16 and see the content there.

Getting error while creating a table

I have created a user 'ram' and gave "create table" permissions for that user.
After that, when I tried to create a table using the command
create table countries as select * from hr.countries;
where hr is another user and countries is the name of table in that schemagetting error message

ORA-00942: table or view does not existNOTE: The same error occurs even while creating a table in 'ram' schema after granting sysdba rights to 'ram'

Getting warning while installing distribution certificate after device test successfully done

I have given a proper entry in hosts file. The same problem persists. How did you restart the installation? Did you clean your previous installation?
Might be because of corrupt zip files ?Could be. How did you create the stage area?

Mapping dimension table to fact table in admin tool 10g

I have a criteria when it is run uses fact 1 as fact table and gives result, and when I add new column to this criteria an extra dimension(dim1) gets added to query backend and fact 1 changes to fact2.
The problem I am facing over here is both should result same amount for records. but due to new column from dim1 and new fact table fact2the amount varies and inaccruate results have come.
When I have checked the sources for Fact in logical layer i can find these facts(fact1,fact2) where fact 1 is not mapped with dim 1 and fact 2 is mapped with dim1.
Will mapping dim1 to fact1 will solve my problem.. And what would be the steps to add/map dim1 to fact1.
Please suggest.

I just checked back the setting and here are the changed details again.
I have a criteria where when it is run, the backend query is formed with f1 fact table.
And for the same criteria when I add a column c1, the backedn query is formed with f2 fact table and f1 is no more here and one new dimension d1 consisting c1 is getting added.
In both the cases results are different..the expected thing is same results.
Note:
d1 is connected to f2 checked in physical diagram
d1 is not connected to f1 checked in physical diagram.
when I checked the connection between three table in physical diagram. Only d1 and f2 are connected and f1 is not connected to either of table. How to go about this issue.

Urgent: Getting warn while changing a field value...How to disable this?

I have one customizated PG which is getting different parameter value from a seeded PG.
Now in Seeded PG there is multiple line (multiple line requisition) with Qualtity & Price field. We have added one link for each line. This link is custom one. Now what we are facing is whenever user change the vakue in Quantity or Price User getting "The changes you made to this page have not been saved. If you continue, the changes will be discarded. Do you wish to continue." warning. Due to this the current change is not reflecting in next PG that is custom PG.
I have tried to make false of the property of "Warn About Changes" of that field. Though m not able to turn of that warning. Could you please let me know what can be done to turn of this waring?
