GETVPN and DMVPN equipment for 250 routers as GM
Hi,
I would like to know which router I should use as a key server for 250 GMs, and what router as DMVPN hub.
I found this deployment guide
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps6525/ps9370/ps7180/GETVPN_DIG_version_1_0_External.pdf
on site 24 it says that 2851 with AIM-VPM module has been tested with 200 GM with 15 sec registration time with one key server.
The problem is that there is a new generation of ISRs. I would like to use a 2900 router but don't know if the 2951 is necessary. 2951 has onboard IPSec acceleration but an adittional ISM-VPN-29 module can be installed.
In the data sheet (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/modules/ps2706/ps12202/data_sheet_c78-682436.html)
I did not have found any info if this module is responsible for GETVPN rekeying. I don't want to buy it if it's not really necessary because it's not cheap.
So my question is which 2900 router should I use as a Key server for 250 GMs and what 2900 router as DMVPN hub?
I hope that somebody can help me with this.
DMVPN provides two key advantages for extending MPLS VPNs to the branches, bulk encryption and, more importantly, a scalable overlay model. Since the assumption here is that the branches in this deployment are connected to the hub through a Layer 3 SP service, a tunneled model using GRE is needed to extend MPLS to the branches. Coupled with the fact that there is large number of existing DMVPN deployments, this solution becomes an attractive deployment option.

I am trying to setup a fault tolerant configuration for a branch site using MPLS as the primary and DMVPN as the backup. The MPLS cloud uses BGP, our data center and directly connected sites use EIGRP. BGP routes are injected into the EIGRP network at the data center.
My problem is that when both MPLS and DMVPN are in use, routers at the data center see EIGRP advertisements as a lower cost than the BGP injected route. Traffic is returned on the much slower backup circuit.
My setup...
Router 1
100 mbps MPLS connection
HSRP priority 200
SLA Track BGP reachability with HSRP priority decrement 150
Router 2
10 mpbs DMVPN over direct internet connection
HSRP priory 100
Ideally, I would like router 2 to only advertise its the local subnet on EIGRP when it is the primary HSRP router. Another option is to setup an SLA track on router 2 to watch the BGP neighbor of router 1. I have not found any examples of how to advertise routes based on an SLA.
I am okay with the convergence delay of EIGRP when the MPLS connection fails. In my tests performing this manually, it takes less than 30 seconds, an acceptable outage for this site.Hi! Did you get a solution for this? I've been planning the same and reached the conclusion the eigrp on the dmvpn would be an issue potentially. I'm now thinking of running bgp on the dmvpn, as we're already running it on the mpls network. I'm using eigrp internally, and redistributing the router to each other.

I have the same form to fill out for 250 customers and need to save each ones information. Will it do that?
Hi,
Yes, you can save each form after filling the information, but each with a different name.

FM or BAPI to change Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment
Hi Experts,
I need to change the Maintenance plant and Planning Plant for an equipment. Is there FM or BAPI available for the same?
Thanks,
Peri.what doesn't it do the same ? it contains planning plant and maintenance plant which you can update ??
if you expect that SAP delivers custom functions for every possible question a developer has you can better search for an other job. SAP makes generic functions and you can use them for you're own sollutions.
it is also expected that you try to work things out for you're own sollution.
you can find sample code quickly enough if you search where the function is used
like RISTEQ01

Best wifi set up for multiple routers and appletvs
Hi, just got the new June 2013 "tower" airport extreme in my ongoing quest to improve non ethernet wifi in my large house (lots of bathrooms and solid block walls, no cable)
Trying to figure out best set up for the various routers and whether or not to use "Bridge" mode. Have the following
New tower airport extreme
2 x older airport extremes
3 airports
5 apple tvs each in a different room for streaming media to 5 televisions
SO planning to factory re-set all my old airports and then install the tower airport in prime receiving position. It will recieve the wifi signal via an ethernet cable from the "radio" on my roof which receives my internet signal. (Actually faster than most wired internet in the small town I live in).
Tower = main receiver and distributor of internet
1 x older airport extreme distributing this signal further into the house - SHOULD THIS BE IN BRIDGE MODE?
2 or more others distributing the signal from the older airport extreme further into the house - SHOULD THEY ALSO BE IN BRIDGE MODE?
I'm very unclear on the benefit of bridge mode. Currently all my routers operate freely and are just extenders - not in bridge mode. Devices just hook into whatever router is nearest - some of which show Excellent wifi and the furtherest show only "Good wifi. I have one room at the very end of my house where the wifi is pretty weak.
Any comments on set up or especially the value of Bridge mode and whether all down-stream routers should be bridged or just extended much appreciated. I guess there is a possibility that I place the 2 older extremes in two main extending locations. One for one section of the house and the other to receive the signal direct from the Tower Airport Extreme to distribute the other end of the house section. So should they both be bridged....?When an AirPort is properly configured to extend the wireless range of another, it is automatically reconfigured into Bridge mode.
Each of AirPorts that you will use to extend the new 802.11ac AirPort Extreme would all need to be configured as such. Please check out this Apple Support article on how to extend AirPorts.
The key here is to understand that the extended network works in a wheel-like fashion with the base station being extended at the hub of the wheel and each of the extending ones on one of the spokes. This should help you plan the best placement of each base station for maximum performance. For more details on optimum placement, please see the following AirPort User Tip. -

Hello, I use photoshop cc 10 days and I did a lot of files with layers and channels.
For two days in two different locations that only happens in some documents when you reopen the job done no more .. Example 6 channels on the facts I see only one ..
Thank you for your attention.

Backup fail on Time Machine and My Passport for Mac on Yosemite
Cannot seem to get Time Machine to do a full backup of my NEW My Passport for Mac.
I've:
- Updated firmware on WD external drive (and formatted correctly for Apple)
- Updated to latest IOS 10.10.3 (Yosemite)
- Verified and repaired Mac HD via iOS Disk Utility and the WD Drive Utility (no issues found on either)
Error message continues to be "Time Machine couldn't complete the backup to My Passport for Mac. An error occurred while copying files. The problem may be temporary. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk."
I'm backing up about 250 GB and have done this numerous times on my Passport for Mac. Everything SEEMS to be fine during backup, until after about 2-3 hours, into a 4-hour backup, the error message appears without any error codes.
Does anyone have any input? I don't think it is on the WD side. Anyone know if there an issue with Time Machine and this external drive? Help!
Thanks,
DaveHi Linc,
I hope this helps you.
Thanks,
Dave

Budget Report to show the fixed and variable split for Materials
Hello Gurus,
Could you tell me if there is a budget standards report that will show the fixed and variable split for Materials? Example: Labor, Equip., QC and Overheads?
I need it for the correctly rolled-up 'final material number' step. The report that does this now (without fixed and var split) is the Indented BOM Comparison (sret - cost mgmt-product costing - cost mgmt-customized reports - cost estimate comparison - costed multilevel compare rpt - Indented BOM Comparison).
Thanks,
Jeffersonone simple way is in your final itab declare a slno type i field
data : begin of itab occurs 0,
slno type i,
<other fields>
end of itab.
after filling the data in itab.
loop at itab.
itab-slno = sy-tabix.
modify itab.
endloop.
in fieldcatalog also you have to define that slno field as the first column.
but it will change its order if you are sorting the output or filtering the output.

Setting Up Mailserver to received and Send Mail for external Network
I have a G5 currenty running 10.3.9 Server with Mail services run and working fine, we are upgrading to 10.4 Server and would like our Sales Reps the ability to send and Receive mail from outside the office. How do I configure my server, Router, ISP and/or Mail clients to do this??? we are currently able to recieve mail from outside just not send.
I cannot find the Line #submission inet n - n -- smtpd in the Main.CF file...here is what I get when I open it
# Global Postfix configuration file. This file lists only a subset
# of all 250+ parameters. See the sample-xxx.cf files for a full list.
# The general format is lines with parameter = value pairs. Lines

# contain references to other $names or ${name}s.

# POSTFIX STILL WORKS AFTER EVERY CHANGE.
# SOFT BOUNCE
# The soft_bounce parameter provides a limited safety net for

# - You define $mydestination domain recipients in files other than
# /etc/passwd, /etc/aliases, or the $virtual_alias_maps files.
# For example, you define $mydestination domain recipients in

Do i have the right equipment for CCNA-Wireless?
Hello community i am Adan Ramirez, an aspiring Cisco Tech, and I'm trying to get the right equipment for the ccna wireless.
Here is my shopping list:
1. 2 Cisco LWAP 1252
3. NME-WLC6-K9 module card
Here is what i already have at home:
1. 1841(2x) - iOS 12.4(24)
2. 2811(2x) - iOS 15.something something...
3. 3560 - iOS 15.something something
4. 2960 - iOS 15.something something
Problem: I don't know if the NME needs the latest iOS, the one i saw on eBay says it's version 4.2 something something. I don't have three thousand dollars to buy a brand new module with iOS 7.0 or $ 12,000 to buy a 5500 WLC. I'm a broke college student T_T, help!
and thanks!Hi,
This is sufficient for your CCNA wireless studies. Probably I would add a VM which can run WCS.
If you really need a WLC, you can buy 4400 series controller (can run upto 7.0.x) for ~200-300 USD. This is the version tested in CCIEv2.0 lab exam as well.
This is the Cisco forum you should follow for this CCNA-Wireless studies

Good luck

I want to exchange all my equipment for the newest model available.
I've been a steady customer since Feb. 2008. I want to exchange all of my equipment for the latest model available. How do I go about that?
It's my understanding that I'm a grandfathered "original" customer, whatever that means. My answers might be different from what you'll get.
If you have Motorola 1200, 1215 (DVR) or 1225 (DVR) boxes, I agree. These boxes are obsolete and slow. They'll still get updates, but it's like trying to run Windows 8.1 on something that was purchased with Windows XP on it... it may work, but it'll take a long time to do a very simple task. A few years ago, when the update was pushed out to AT&T boxes that introduced the spinning circle in the lower right corner and "poster view" for movies, those boxes I mentioned basically started running very slowly.
It's my understanding those boxes are obsolete and are being junked when they're returned to AT&T.
AT&T has two types of modern non-DVR boxes... wireless and wired. I had a tech come out and he was able to waive the $49 fee to get one wireless box. If you call AT&T and let them know your boxes "broke" because of an update they pushed out, and if you're nice and polite, you should be able to get them to waive the $49 fee... actually, you may have to pay it, but your next bill will get a $49 credit...that's what they did in my case.
I don't think that was 100% free as my taxes and fees were *a bit* higher on one bill and I don't know if they were that much lower on the next bill...but whatever.
When I added a second wireless box, I had it shipped via UPS and installed it myself. I was able to get them to credit the $49 fee off the next bill. Once again, I paid $49 on one bill and my next bill had the $49 credit.
Now...if you want the newer wired boxes, there shouldn't be any sort of fee. Like I said before, it was AT&T that pushed out newer software. IMO, a customer shouldn't pay when AT&T's update "breaks" a customer's equipment.
As for the DVR, yes, you will lose recordings. What you *can* do is either buy a Slingbox and put the DVR and Slingbox by theirselves or just put the DVR on a TV you don't watch a whole lot.
My silver remotes still work absolutely fine. If you want a newer "basic" remote, keep in mind that some buttons have changed. Those should be free, at least they are when mine stop working and I know for a fact they have new batteries. -
Sending Gauges / Equipment for Calibration
I want to send the Gauges / Equipment for Calibration to Outside party (Vendor). Would you please tell me how to map this process in SAP.
The process is:
1. Gauges / Equipments are sent for Calibration to vendor.
2. Vendor Calibrates and those are verified for the usage.
Your valuable inputs will be helpful, points will be awarded accordingly.

Produce equipment for internal use (cost center)
Hi,
We are a high tech company selling and producing configurable equipment.
Sometimes our marketing department orders such an equipment for demo reasons. After this demo the equipment must be returned to be disassembled or returned into stock until it is needed in another demo or by our engineering department. In other words we would like to produce equipment and have them in stock until a cost center needs it. We think we have some solutions to counter this problem :
- using a dummy customer in SD (--> our finance department is not in favour of this). If the equipment returns we can make a return and put it into stock.
- create an independent requirement using transaction MD81. If a cost center needs it we do a goods issue (more difficult to keep track on things)
-create a planned order
Are there other solutions ? If not which one do you prefer and why ?
Also these equiments sometimes needs to be repaired or modified. We use the module CS (customer service) to do repairs for customers but in this case we are our own customer. The idea of using a dummy customer is not preferred by our finance department. Can we use the module PM (plant maintenance) for this ?
Thanks for the help.
