mainboard S/N is MS-7597 VER 1.1
That's not the S/N. You can find the S/N on a white sticker on the box or on the back of the board:

  • Accidently flashed wrong bios

I have a MSI 845E MAX, but I accidently flashed it with the bios for the MSI 845E MAX2, everything still works perfectly except for one thing.  I can't flash my bios anymore.  When I tried to flash it back with the correct MSI 845E MAX bios it gives me an error erasing bios message.  I also tried flashing it again with the same MAX2 bios only to have the same error message.  I've checked the bios and I have flash protection disabled (this is of course with the bios for the MAX2 though).  Any ideas on how I can flash my system back to the correct bios or am I stuck on this same bios for the duration of this motherboard?

one solution is buy a new bios chip, but that would suck.   Its kindof funny that it still works in your computer,  but maybe that's because its the sam chip set.    * i feel for ya man*

    that's most suspected.
for such old machine everything could be the reason, but the PSU is the most suspected

it would be perfect if you can tell me what bios was installed by default on this mb..
that's impossible to tell, bios version vary depend of mainboard production date release
since you worked on this PC for 4 years, you should be noted what BIOS version its running
there is no way to guess what BIOS version you was running

the bios is correct one, you can also try to rename A7597NMS.2A0 to AMIBOOT.ROM

HELP !!!!!! NEED FOR ORIGINAL bios GF615M-P33!!!
I goof is kept to the old firmware bios, firmware and after computer started to hang every couple of minutes. Tumbler for overlock, those on the motherboard, when they switched to other modes motherboard does not start. I think you need the original bios. But I have neither version nor the old bios file. Now instaled this version of bios: 2.A0

BIOS is correct one, read >>Posting Guide<<
If the bios is correct, then why not work switches for overclocking??? With their switching to other modes (10%, 15% and 20%) than default motherboard does not start. How do you explain this? In BIOS firmware is working correctly.

My current bios version is 10.2.

    Here it is.
1.Set 'CPU LED Phase Control' default = disabled.
    2.Remove small logo.
1.Fix the issue that sometimes it will inform the need of password when entering setup,
when update a new bios which never set the password.
    1. Fix "chassis intrusion" function error after clear cmos.

  • Flashed the wrong bios to Pavilion dv7- 6b57nr

My system was running really slow, with constant lockups, I tried every this to get it to function faster, it only improved slightly. I accidentally flashed the wrong bios to the system. the unit powers up, and the cap locked keys flashes twice then pauses, then twice again.
    please help!

    Hello!
That mistake is very unlikely. Kt3 uses AMI-bios, K7n Award-bios. There is also a big age difference. But the bios versions are numbered in a similar way:
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=497
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=bios&maincat_no=1&prod_no=546
My advice is not to update with that version, especially not with LiveUpdate. Make sure the Kt3 Ultra2 motherboard I linked to is your exact motherboard, and if you really-really need to update BIOS, download from there and do a "manual" update. If you do not have a problem: Do  n o t  update!
I might add that the numbering of BIOS versions is a little confusing sometimes. What is the exact name/number of the "11.5" version?

  • HELP! I cant flash my bios, :censored:....

When I got to flash my bios I enter the correct file names in the command prompt, then when i get the message if i want to save my current bios i say no, and then it says "Source File Not Found!" what does this mean and what am i doing wrong? thanks.

You may just want to get it downloaded again. Likely it's just corrupted is all.
Oh and if someone doesn't answer it is likely as not due to the fact they don't know the answer.

  • I flashed the BIOS on my dv4 2045dx with the F17 BIOS, NOW Black screen, PLEASE HELP

I flashed the BIOS on my dv4 2045dx with the F17 BIOS, NOW Black screen. Now even when pressing the windows  and the B key when powering, the screen stay black. Lights, fan, HD, USB drive with HP_TOOLS partition and bios backup flashes goes on for some time with some beeping every 15 sec.
I try to plug it on to a external monitor without luck.
What's next? Can I reload a BIOS from a CD? Anyone have an idea?
    Thanks

    Hello KenyaKitten
I understand after flashing your bios the PC will not boot.  I will do all I can to help with this issue.
First thing let’s do a hard reset, remove all devices from the PC including battery and power cable. Once all is removed press and hold power button for 15-20 seconds. Once that is done insert only battery and charging cable.  Try to boot now, if getting same response move to next line below.
Next, I want you to try is to boot into the bios menu. Turn the PC off and as you turn it on tap the F10 key repeatedly. Hopefully this boots you into the bios menu. Screen will look a little bluish grey and have setup utility across the top.
Also if the PC starts beeping at you while you’re tapping you can stop. Now if you reach that screen you may get a box that say save changes and exit choose no. (Note your mouse doesn't work on this screen so you would need to use the arrow keys)
After that press F9 another box will up come about reset defaults, accept that. Then press F10 to save and exit. The notebook will attempt to boot.
Also please inform me if you notice the number lock or caps lock keys blinking off and on. Also please let me know if the PC beeps at you while tapping F10 regardless if the bios comes up or not.
Please respond at your earliest convenience when you get further information.
    Thank you.

  • Need help flashing my BIOS

I just tried to flash the BIOS on my MSI Z87-G43 mb but I was unsuccessful.  I was trying to use the M-Flash capability in the BIOS but when I tried to save my current BIOS to the USB flash drive I got the message that no USB key was found and to please plug in a USB key and try again.  I decided to skip saving the current BIOS and just flash the new BIOS and the same message appeared.  I tried the USB socket on the front of my case, the USB 2.0 socket on the MB I/O panel and the USB 3.0 socket on the MB I/O panel. None of them worked.
The USB flash drive is just a generic 1 GB flash drive.  Prior to the attempts, I used the option to "Load Optimized Defaults" or whatever it is called.  Within the BIOS, I used the "Board Explorer" option and I was able to "see" my USB flash drive on the Board Explorer.
What is the trick to getting the MB to see my USB flash drive during M-Flash?

  • How do I flash a BIOS upgrade.

    A have a MS-7360 P35 Neo motherboards.
    The BIOS is AMIBIOS A7360IMS V1.1 052107
Over time, I have had several minor faults, advising that they may be the result of
some mismatch between BIOS and hardware.
So, having done this with other machines earlier, I tried to do it with this one.
But,I cannot find out how to !!
The MSI webside informs that versions 20 and 21 are available, but they can only be instaled using "Liveupdate".
The "Click here to read the instruction" button leads to a Error 404 File Not Found message.
So, I tried to download and install "Liveupdate". The program freezes everytime.
I entered the MSI forum. There is a warning against using "Liveupdate" to flash the BIOS.
Instead a "MSI Forum HQ USB flashing tool" is offered.
I tried that tool, and was warned by my computer that the program was blocked because it tried to install a Trojan.
And even if it had worked, I could probably not have used it. The thing is: I cannot find the apropriate BIOS file itself.
It is probably hidden somewhere in the folders made by "Liveupdate", but which file is it?
I tried www.ami.com. It identidied my BIOS, but there was nowhere to find an upgrade.
So, can anyone help me here ?

And now another one, there must have been quite a few of those P35 Neos sold.
To get to the point though you need BIOS for G33 MB which is the same BIOS for your version of the P35.
    BIOS download is here:
    http://www.msi.com/product/mb/G33-Neo.html#/?div=BIOS
            >> Use the MSI HQ Forum USB flasher <<
I know this for fact as I had the same MB a few years ago, you are the 3rd or 4rth this week with question and at least you have been lucky enough not to flash the wrong BIOS like some of the others. Don't even use the Live Update to flash the BIOS else you can end up with a dead MB, use the forum tool.
