Ghost Panels and Misplaced Tool Sub-Menus?

I have a dual-monitor setup and after upgrading from CC to CC 2014 I noticed that any panels I have on my second monitor create a ghost toolbar where any tool sub-menus I click also show up. The attached picture is pretty self-explanatory, the left half of the image is my secondary monitor. I've noticed it in Photoshop and InDesign so far. It doesn't matter if I use my own Workspace or one of the Pre-Defined Workspaces. Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas how to fix it?
I'm running Windows 7 Pro, 64-bit, everything is up to date.

I have not notice that but that may be because my second screen is full of Photoshop Palette. If I want to see what else is on that display I have to use shift Tab to hide Photoshops Palettes. or Alt-Tab to bring a windows application window to the top When I do I have never seen a ghost Image window for a Photoshop Image windows. I keep my image windows in floating windows in Photoshop Main application window on my other display.

Inspector leaves grey "ghost" panel IN ALL TABS after escape/exit

when I use inspector (Q) it often leaves grey ghost panel covering about 3 inches of the bottom of my browser window), where the black html panel was - and it is in EVERY OPEN TAB, and if I try to use it again, it will then open a html panel above the grey "ghost" panel, and sometimes even leave that grey too - I havn't found a way to get rid of it, except for restarting Firefox.
- and "link" labels are above it i.e. it's below the regular bottom of a firefox window

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Just installed Illustrator cc 2014 and sub menus in tool bar not responisve

just upgraded to latest version of illustrator and sub menus within tool palette aren't responsive. I.e shear under scale, or ellipse under rectangle. anyone else experiencing this? and how to fix?

You left-click and hold the mouse?
Is this Windows with 2 monitors?
Then you might have run into a bug. You can get at the tools with Alt-click to switch through them.

Loading independent sub vis in sub panels and calling from main vi

Hi all,
I have trying to work on the following requirement.
I have a main vi with a file browzer and sub panel - Channel . I will select a channel configuration text file which contains Analog and digital channels names. ''
My vi will read that file and loads and Channel VI in the sub panel - Channel.
Now the CHANNEL VI has a tab control with 2 pages analog and digital. Each page again has sub panels i,e. sub Panel - Analog and sub-Panel-Digital.
Analog VI with some knob controls which are binded to Signals are displayed in the sub Panel - Analog.
Digital VI with some boolean controls which are binded to Signals are displayed in the sub Panel - Digital.
These vis will show the values acquired from the hardware.
I want to provide the user to load any channel configuration file and acquire the data. For the first time the execution is working fine. The next time when I tried to load a new configuration file. it says "Invoke node in main cvi <Append> Method Name <b>Run VI</b> and the new configuration is not loaded.
The following logic is implemented as a sub vi to load and close the sub panel vi.

Can you post a vi snippet? It would be helpful to see your logic flow, I'm wondering if your problem is that you've got "remove vi" node at the end after you have already closed the vi reference - but can't tell if same vi reference are used as in the case of top diagram.

I can give a few suggestions on Photoshop CC 2014, but Lightroom is a separate forum and you should ask Lr questions there.
First close Photoshop.
Then start Photoshop by double-clicking on it's icon and very quickly after that, hold down the ctrl-alt-shift keys until you see the reset dialog. answer "Yes" to delete settings, and let Photoshop continue to load.
It's tricky to do and may take a few tries, but at least it should reset Photoshop CC 2014 to defaults.

Transparent spry menu that has a background color on sub menus and a few other problems(Please Help)

Hi im a noob at dream weaver and i've been trying to create a menu and i have been having problems with this menu bar i don't know what to upload and i have made a topic about this before but i only got one reply and so i am trying to make my menu bar transparent and then the sub menu's colored with the color code #1A1A1A and the menu bars that have been color background are only the sub sub menu bars if you know what i mean and also my other problem is the spacing i have between each option is really uneven is there a way to make them evenly sperated apart from each other rather than just the size of a "box" that the text is in. Cannot click on sub-menus and notification prompts in Mircosoft Exchange when using Firefox.

When I access Microsoft Exchange web app from Firefox I've can no longer click on pop-up sub-menus and notifications that I could previous use.
For example, when I go to empty my deleted items folder and select empty folder, I get this notification (menu 1) that I now cannot click on. All I can do is just hit 'enter' to close the menus without actually making a yes/no input.
Similarly, when i go to move folders and get this pop-up menu (menu 2), I cannot make any selection, and the 'enter' to close method does not work. All I can do then is close the page.
I have tried disabling firefox's pop-up blocker but that did not rectify the issue. I can still use the sub-menus in other web browsers so this is a firefox specific problem.
Any help in identifying the cause and remedying this would be greatly appreciated.

Horizontal menu looks fine but sub menus drop down one and move to the right over the top of one another

Help, My horizontal menus look great but when I add sub menus to them they drop down one place and move to the right side where they be over lapping each other. What can I do? I'm working with adobe muse.

It might be faster to start over. File > New > HTML page. Insert Spry Menu.

How do I get the Basic and camera calibration sub panels in the develop modual to come back after they go away on there own?

I was working on images and then when I picked a different image the basic and camera calibration sub panels disappeared. How do I get them back?

Right click on one of the other headers and a popup will appear and you can select the ones you need to view.

Problem
Often runtime, the control panel and context menus are disabled (e.g.: trasformation Values, rotation, shear angle, character and paragraph formattingt control (track, kern), fx, colors.
All documents are created in CS6 or converted from CS5 templates (After the opening in CS6 files are exported IDML file exported).
What we have done to try and fix the problem:
Reinstal InDesign - No effect
Cleared the preferences (shift + ctrl + alt + apples key on InDesign startup) - Works but is not conclusive.

CSS Styles Panel and DIV Draw tool

In Dreamweaver CS6 Creative Cloud, how do I access the CSS styles palate/panel and is there a DIV DRAW tool, or do you resort to the tracing tool to draw website layouts?

DW is not a graphics app. You cannot draw layouts on screen. You need to use CSS code to create the basic layout and HTML for your structure.
You may find it helpful to jump start your projects with one of the pre-built CSS Layouts in Dreamweaver CS6.
Go to File > New > Blank Page > HTML > Select one of the Layouts in the 3rd panel and hit the Create button. SaveAs filename.html.

Windows will scale applications display or windows will not scale application display depending on how the application is coded. Photoshop is coded in a way that its display is not scaled by windows. Photoshop knows about your displays high pixel count not its resolution so it uses its pixels however it does not scale its UI to make it usable on your display. Other application let Windows scale their display output.   For example Microsoft default for is Surface Pro 3, 216 ppi display is to scale applications display up 150% so the surface pro 3 display which has 2160x1440 pixels a 216 ppi resolution look like at display with the user is using with 1440x960 pixels. The Application works like the display is 1440x960 and Windows scale those pixels to the displays using the displays 2160x1440 pixels the effectively changing it resolution to 144ppi rather than the actual 216ppi.
The reg update and external manifest file effectively tells photoshop its working on such a size display display some number of pixel wide and some number photoshop uses that as the display size in turn Windows scale those pixels to use the displays 2160x1440 pixels efector lowing its 216ppi resolution. Photoshop CC 2014 2X UI would be like using windows 200% option applications would be shown the are working on a display 1080x720 instead of the Surface Pro 3 2160x1440. Note that 1080x720 does not meet PS requirement of 1024x768. Photoshop UI would not fit on the Surface Pro 3 display..
Since you have a 4k display if you have CC 2014 you can use its 2x UI effectively Photoshop will be running on a 1920x1080 display and have half the resolution of you 4K display 3840x2160 pixels four native pixels are use as a single pixel.   1920x1080 pixels exceed PS requirement.

Help with menus, sub menus and such.....

I have spent ages getting to this point and after checking everything over and over and over yet again I cannot figure out what is happening with the menus at the top of my page.
The first menu "Garrett Smith" operates fine. The sub menus appear directly under it as they should when it is moused over.
It is the second menu "Work" in which I am having a problem. When you mouseover "Work", "View by Discipline" should open directly underneath. Once "View by Discipline" is clicked the four submenus should then open, again directly underneath "Work" and "View by Discipline". Then once "Print", "Printmaking", "Illustration" or "Photography" is moused over the test menus should in turn pop up to the side of them lining up with the top of each, depending on which one is moused over.
I have checked my CSS, javascript and everything else over and over. I imagine it is something simple that I am simply overlooking as I have been searching though all of this for the better part of the day so it is all blending together.

   I'm not as familiar with a jquery script, but in many of the drop-downs I've created, the submenu is built as a nested sub-set of it's parent... for instance instead of this:

You may have something that looks more like this:

This is just an example - NOT the solution, but I think this will put you more on track if you experiment a bit along these lines. Note that closing "<li> tag for the "print" link is AFTER the nested "<ul> tags of it's submenu.
Also, if this is still problematic, note that there are tons of free samples on the web (as well as many you can purchase). Also, I've found Dreamweaver's "Spry menu system" isn't a bad place to start - it does have a few bugs, but it begins with a very basic double-drop down menu that you can fairly easily customize by editing the css...
