Giants

I have an ether-channel configured between a Cisco 6500 and a juniper ex4500
The juniper mtu is configured as 1514 and the Cisco end 1500. I am seing giants on the interface on the cisco end.
Ive tried a packet capture on the port-channel but I dont seem to pick up any giant frames.
show int output:

any trouble shooting links would be appreciated.

Hello, to my recollection -
Giant errors are sometimes caused by any frame that is received above the capacitated MTU size. This could be caused by additional encapsulation or tagging of some sort. Perhaps when you set the MTU for the interface on the 6500 switch to match that of the Juniper switch these will go away.
However, I'd also like to mention that Giant errors could be seen as a result of a "bad nic" - then which case try changing to another port or line-card.
Also could be a "cosmetic bug"
It's not really a problem unless it is effecting a service or user experience etc...

  • Media Encoder CC // Red Giant Denoiser II

    Hello there,
i've got the following Problem: I am having Premiere CC and used the Red Giant Plug-In Denoiser II on my last project, when i import this project to the Media Encoder and select Quicktime for output, the Media Encoder won't render the clip with this Plug-In. i always get the original files out, without the denoiser.
    thx

no windows, footage is cinemaDNG 2,5k RAW from Blackmagic Cinema Camera.

  • Red Giant transitions no longer work in Mac OS 10.9.5

I recently updated my Mac Pro to 10.9.5 and now my Red Giant Universe transitions, such as Swish Pan (works like Wind Blur in Final Cut) have all stopped working.  Not only do they no longer work, but they make my project crash and I have to create a copy of the project.  Has anyone else had this experience?  Is there any way to fix it?

My two cents-- I'm a fan of Red Giant and have a bunch of their products but Universe has been a dud in my opinion.  Didn't upgrade to the premium version but kept it installed just to kick the tires and it's been a total headache.  Finally uninstalled it.
May not be Red Giant's issue per se, but for whatever reason all my Adobe stuff runs better without it.

  • Just installed Red Giant Trapcode Suite, now AE CC will no longer import or recognize jpeg files?

Have tried trashing AE Preferences, deleting Media Caches, etc to no avail. Also get red outline or screens on AE Start Up or Quit?
Anyone else experienced anything like this??
Installed on Mac Pro 4.1 running OSX 10.9.5, 36GB RAM, Nvdia Quaddro FX 4800.

In fact all prior projects that utilized a jpeg or png for an Environment Map, background, composited layer, etc., etc. have all links broken and will not reload or replace footage already in projects.
Trapcode Suite 12 downloaded from Red Giant for CC and installed properly.

  • Red Giant Plug-ins won't load in Premiere Pro CC

I have been unable to get certain Red Giant plug-ins (frames and denoiser 2) to show up in Premiere Pro CC. Others, like LUT buddy and Looks work fine. I have tried countless things with the people at Red Giant, but we can't seem to figure it out. Anyone???

was able to finally figure it out with the help of Wenzel - an extremely courteous tech from Ueberschall - who was able to show me the couple of little tweaks I'd needed in order to get everything up & running - but thanks to anyone else who would have answered me -

  • Red Giant's DeNoiser II in Premiere CS6?

I usually use Neat Video but I do not own the Premiere version so I thought I'd give Red Giant's noise reduction a try.  I'm impressed with the quality but find that with a few instances of the plugin on clips Premiere slows so much that just making changes to the plugin settings is not very functional without long pauses.  I tested the Neat video limited version and it does not have this problem.  Am I doing someting wrong?  I have an i7, 12gb of ram and a 570 card. Other Red Giant plugins like Colorista and Looks work fine for me.
    Thanks,  Marc

I played around with it some more and read about other people having the same issues.  It's slow as molasses not just during rendering but even when trying to make adjustments or turn the effect on and off.  I ended up buying a Neat Video license for Premiere which seems to work with no problems.

  • Has anyone tried Red Giant Denoiser II in Compressor?

    Hi
I hope you can help me out. I've started using denoiser II and find it works great in FCP, although it does slow it down a bit. The issue I'm having is in compressor for a one and half hour project, it might take 6-7 hours to encode but when I've used denoiser II on 12 mins of that 1hr and half film, it has increased the encode time to over 27hours? (still encoding so not sure how long it is going to take). Have I done something wrong? Or why is it taking so long to encode? Can anyone help?
All clips are Apple pro res442 1080HD. I use an imac, OSx 10.6.8
    Many thanks
    Kaylee

    Hi Russ
Yes, all that's right. Sorry, didn't give enough information. It's the Red giant Magic Bullet denoiser plug in which I bought and downloaded to my FCP a couple of days ago. I was editing a project which had about 12 mins of noisey footage at the end. All the clips are apple prores 422 and I send it to compressor from FCP in drop down menu send to> compressor.
In compressor I use 'DVD best quality 90 mins', which i use as standard and it finished last night after taking around 33 and a half hours to turn into the video and audio files I then put into DVD studio pro. It usually takes me about 6 hours or so for this paticular process so I'm wondering if I've done something wrong with this plug-in? Or if anyone has used denoiser II and gone through this process before?
I use a Mac OSX version 10.6.8. Memory is 8GB. The processor is 3.06 Ghz Intel core 2 duo.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Many thanks

  • Red Giant Denoiser II not working with certain clips

    HI all,
I have a 25 minute wedding video that I have been unsuccessfully trying to export and sign off on nfor the last week and the problem seems to lie with Denoiser II.  There were some clips that were corrupted by me using Denoiser on them so I had to take the effect off.  However I am also having a problem in that the denoiser effects seems to 'flicker' during clips - ie it works for a second, then stops so noise appears, then works again for a second, then stops etc etc.  The footage was shot on a dslr, 24fps.  I shot a short film with the same clips and used denoiser a few weeks previously with no problems.  The only thing that differs is the amount of other effects I am using with the footage - Colorista II, Mojo and Magic Bullet Looks.  Could the problem be that I have too many effects running?
I can't view my footage in Premiere as my computer can't play it due to the effects I have on it so can't comment on whether the problem is happening in playback and export, or just when i export
I have tried exporting in h.264, mpeg etc. I have also tried exporting through Encoder rather than Premiere, again with no difference and am getting so frustrated.
Im on Premiere Pro cc and Windows 8
Any advice would be much appreciated
    Thanks!
    Tony

    Hi Tony,
Make sure you have installed the most recent version of that plug-in. You might also want to contact Red Giant Support: http://www.redgiant.com/support/
    Thanks,

  • Red Giant Trapcode plugins no longer work after updating to Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 (v8.1)

I'm not sure why but after updating Premiere Pro CC to 2014.1 none of my previously installed Trapcode plugins work. I tried uninstalling Trapcode and then re-installing the latest Trapcode update (12.1.6) but it didn't fix the problem. I'm also running Windows 8.1.
I checked the plugin loading log file (\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\8.0\Plugin Loading.log) and noticed all the Trapcode plugins had the message "The plugin is marked as Ignore, so it will not be loaded."

First ... have you checked that these are all updated to work with the CC versions? I'd check with the makers of each plugin, the software has MANY differences.
Next ... if say you removed all but one, do any of them work? It might be worthwhile to remove them from the folder, then add one by one until you find one that is crashing things. That would at least get you part way forward.
And ... you might list which ones you have, in what versions. Folks around here might be able to help just seeing that.

  • Advancing Gaming Giants-MSI! Me @ 2015 MSI Gaming Computex Press Conference~

Working in an exhibition design company, I had the chance to witness the MSI 2015 Gaming Computex Press Conference. Though I play on-line game occasionally, I kinda like the Gaming products of MSI. One of my classmates gave me a MSI Gaming mouse with LED indicators, it’s gorgeous and handy!
By curiosity, I Googled MSI before the conference. Found out that MSI focused on Gaming Notebooks and high level mobo and graphics for decades, now it is sort of an international gaming leading brand. Its gaming products are definitely dream gears for professional eSport gamers. Seems this company is really something.
After I got the job done, boss allowed me to watch this conference. Stepped into the hall, I saw the giant size dragon mascot. And there was a photo sticker machine and a claw vending machine; everyone couldn’t refuse to stop steps to the entertainments.
In the conference hall, there were demo sections of MSI gaming series products. Variety of high level notebook, mobo, graphics, AIO, desktop, and etc. are all here for the participants to try out. More and more participants came and got to know the latest products of MSI.
The seats were taken very soon by the presses, vendors, and employees. I located myself at an inconspicuous corner to observe the event. In a while, the lights dimmed, and the conference started officially.
The main stage was designed in red, black and white colors, the 3 elements of MSI Gaming, and decorated with the MSI Gaming Dragon shield. Several pretty models went up to the stage one after the other to show the latest products to the crowd.
One more highlight of the conference was MSI senior managers and professional speakers to present the new products and new technologies. After that, several important IT companies introduced their cooperation with MSI. By this way, MSI products look really taking comprehensive advantages.
Everyone was focus on listening to the introductions. I was also very touched, and admired MSI branding much more.
At the end of the conference, MSI announced hot news. The MSI BeatIT gaming tournament which MSI held for 5 continuously years is renamed to MSI MGA (Masters Gaming Arena) global gaming tournament. In cooperation with world leading gaming company, ESL. The regional qualifiers start in June, and the global final will be held in August in Seattle, USA. Holly…! This is really a big enterprise; hold the global event out of the ordinary.
The whole conference showed the determination and effort of MSI on Gaming products and the industry. Really impressive.
At last, here’s one picture of the MSI products and the long leg models to thank you for reading this article.

  • IPad mini screen stuck on giant icon/start-up screen

The screen is stuck in a giant zoom that does not allow me to use the screen or iPad. It is in a terminal freeze on the giant
word, "Hello". I'm assuming this is because i did a reboot to recovery mode and it is stuck in that now. Cannot get
any icons to work, or get it to a small enough size to use the iPad or to type anything.
Stuck. frozen. screen zoom stuck. opening screen Hello stuck.
It seems to me I'm going to have to send it back to Apple with only a few hours use on it, yet I can't even turn it on to look up the serial huber # .
    any ideas welcome.
    help. please. help.
    nelson

It sounds to me like your iPad needs to go back to Apple. It obviously responds in some fashion if you were able to update the device, but whatever is causing the screen to freeze isn't fixable with any means that you would have at your disposal. You say it has a few hours use on it. I hope that means that it is still well within the one year warranty.
Contact Apple to set up a return, or take it to an Apple Store.

  • Giant keynote presentation - download from ipad

    Hello to all

The best thing to try is to connect your iPad to your computer using the provided USB cable.
Once this is done, open iTunes on your computer and check if you see your iPad appear as a small icon in the upper left corner.
if so, click on it and proceed to click on the "apps" tab on the left where it shows you the content on the iPad.
Among the list of all the apps installed on your iPad should be Keynote. Once you click on it you should be able to view your Keynote files. You also have a [save to] button that enables you to get your file copied to your computer.
There is another option that only works if you have iCloud enabled on your iPad. On your computer, go to this website: https://www.icloud.com/#keynote
If you're using iCloud to sync your files and data, your giant keynote files should be here as well. There is a gear-icon in the top of the page that enables you to download the Keynote as a file to your computer.
    Hope this helps

  • Multiple anchored frames create giant anchor marks

As shown below, if I put two frame anchors next to each other in my figure caption, the second one shows up with a giant anchor. Anyone else seen this? Anyone know how to get the second one to go back to a normal size? I can insert a space, but that plays hob with my table of contents generation.

It's not clear to me why you need the two anchors adjacent to each other. Have you tried separating them, perhaps one at the beginning and the other at the end of a word, or at the beginning and end of the paragraph? This separation shouldn't affect your TOC.
Another possibility is separating the anchors with a non-joiner character - it's zero width and should not affect the TOC.

  • Help Me Kill The Giant Bloated File Size Monster

    Hi Folks,
I'm trying to reduce the artificially giant size of a GB2 file because it's almost impossible to get the tune to play. I've tried all the optimizing tricks but every now and then a song just needs that big I Am The Walrus production so I'll admit there's a lot going on. I say "artificially" because I know from experience with so many other programs that many times those undos and edits DON'T get trashed when you save and quit even though they should. I wish GB2 had the beautifully elegant "Save & Compact" like Flash which miraculously cleans out the file and dumps all the bad voodoo reducing files to a fraction of their bloated former selves.
In this case I was trying to reduce file by locking many tracks which I now know bloats the file even more. I found this old thread with some tips about manually trashing Freeze Files but how exactly is that done? What are files called and where are they?
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=1370949&#1370949
Any Mac Techs listening here? How about a Save & Compact for GarageBand!
    Thanks
    Robert
P.S. I do have GB3 also if there's only a fix in that version.

Hi flexmarketman - please do NOT tinker with the Media folder contents if you still wish to have a functional project. Nothing in that folder is non-essential. Non-destructive editing allows for the permanent removal only of clips that are discarded in their entirety. All remaining clips in the folder have been utilised in some degree in your project!
Best solution is to purchase an external hard drive of reasonably large capacity (make sure it has been formatted for Mac computers before you use it.
You can share the project back to a dv tape (cheapest storage method), and that can be re-imported if needs be, but it does not allow for the same flexibility of subsequent further editing as transitions etc will now be embedded in the clips. But it will remove all unwanted portions of clips so that is the positive outcome of this method.
    Hope that helps.
