Gibberish loading on certain websites

So for a while now, certain websites have been showing up as pretty much gibberish. Just a series of thoes black diamond-question mark things. I thought it was an encoding problem, but I couldn't seem to fix it, so I just used chrome for the odd website I needed. Anyway, now It's started appearing in more and more websites, and now finally it's appearing when I try to log into my google account, making accessing my Email impossible (on firefox). I still think it's an encoding issue, but my infernal fiddeling doesn't seem to be changing anything at all.
Any help would be great. I'm not too fond of the idea of moving over to Chrome.

You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page and reset all bold user set network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset.

Hi all, I've downloaded the newest Flash Player and for some reason it won't load on certain websites. I have tried it on FIrefox, IE, and Chrome, and none work. All I get is a black screen. I've tried reinstalling browsers and flash, and even turning off my firewall etc. etc. Please help.

Have you updated your video drivers from the manufacturer? (NOT through Windows)

CSS styles not loading on certain websites (facebook, wikipedia)

I am running the latest ver of firefox on Windows 7
Out of nowhere certain websites such as facebook or wikipedia don't seem to load up their CSS styles. So the sites are more or less unusable.
I disabled all my plugins, restarted my laptop (its a lenovo thinkpad x220) did a CCleaner, ran a malware check, and its still happening. Javascript is enabled and I made sure page style is "Basic Page Style."
Works fine on IE.
Any ideas?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Windows do not load: on certain websites correctly treated by Firefox 3.6 some windows in a page are not loaded by Firefox 4 and have to be reloaded.

On a website such as http://forums.kyngdvb.com/forum.php some windows often do not load with the page and have to be reloaded. This did not happen with Firefox 3.6

Images and formatting not loading for certain websites

Within the last couple of weeks the website bfads.net has stopped loading properly. All other websites load properly with the exception of some forum websites I came across while looking for an answer to this problem. The website loads very slowly but is missing all formatting and images (except ad banners). It is one solid white page with lots of black and blue hyperlinked text. It looks like you were seeing the page in text view. The forum websites that don't load have the same appearance. I am running Windows XP SP3 and Firefox v16 after upgrading from v12.
Here is what I have tried so far.
- Updated Firefox to the latest version
- Cleared the history, cookies and cache
- Restarted Firefox in Safe Mode with extensions turned off
- Updated all plugins
- Ran Spybot with no issues
- Ran AVG with no issues
- Checked to make sure there is no ad or image blocking turned on (there is none)
- Performed a Shift + R to reload the page
- Removed any programs installed recently
- Checked Internet Options in Windows to make sure nothing looks out of place

Do all other web pages display properly?
Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

You can also try to reset all prefs in case were were changed accidentally.

You can try to reset Firefox.

If you reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some of your data (bookmarks, passwords, cookies, form data) is automatically imported and your current profile will be moved to the desktop (Old Firefox Data).
You can recover more data from the old profile (be cautious with doing that).

Doesn't load a certain website I have. My site loads on all other computers, and in different browsers on my Mac???

I'm building a store and for some reason FireFox for Mac seems to not want to load it all the time. Sometimes it just stops loading the site even though the server is up and it loads in all other browsers. It only happens on my computer and it's really frikken annoying. It's coming to the point where I will have to switch browsers if I cannot find a fix. It's impossible to work on a site when FireFox refuses to load it at times, but I have NO idea why!!
Chrome for Mac loads the site INSTANTLY, but I like to use FireFox because of the helpful add-ons it has.
I'm not posting the URL here because it is an adult store and I'm not sure if that is allowed.
I just think it's weird that FireFox ONLY does it on this site, and ONLY does it on my computer. It's been doing it for weeks now, since I started the site. The other weird thing is that when I Quit FF completely and restart it, my site loads fine. I can be working on it for hours and then BOOM, FF decides to be a royal P.I.T.A.
Is there any way to troubleshoot this issue?

On your Mac, make sure Automatic Downloads is selected in iTunes / Preferences - Store.

Firefox cannot load a certain website, but other people I have talked to can access that same website.

I was at a chat site today, when it suddenly went blank. I tried to go back to that chat site, but I get the problem loading page error, that says Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at that site. I have asked a few people on my messenger if they can get to that site, and they can. Why can't I?

You can find the old Flash 9.0 plugin file NPSWF32.DLL in the plugins folder within the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\) and remove that file.

Opening a html document in order to load a certain website (and login), results in opening the startpage(s) from FireFrox.

we use a html document to automatically login out application. but when this document opens FireFox always opens the startpage. When FireFox is already running the html document works as intended.

Firefix won't load some certain websites. I even have to use google chrome now, to ask advice. I did all the things said in the help page but it only seemed to turn internet connection slower! Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. 
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

Safari 6.0.5 crashes when accessing a certain website.

Safari 6.0.5 on my IMAC crashes everytime I try and load a certain website. Can anybody help me with this?

Any resolve to this?? I have Safari 6.1.1 it keeps crashing when I try to access one particular website www.sportbeatfest.com I have tried Safari reset, trashed the cache as advised on another thread but it still completely freezes my Imac and I have to power off and restart. I need to access this site for some work related stuff.
Anyone got any ideas? It also doesnt work on my Iphone!

To troubleshoot this issue where your iPad is unable to load up certain websites with Safari, please clear the history and stored website data from the iPad by following the directions below.
Clear information from your device
To clear your history and cookies from Safari in iOS 8, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data. In iOS 7 or earlier, tap Clear History and tap Clear Cookies and Data.
To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

for the last few weeks, I have been having difficulty with loading certain websites at certain times of the day. The problem is affecting websites that I've been using for years, such as hotmail, Facebook, eBay, BBC Newsfeeds, Lego website, CBBC, to name a few. It happens whether I use a bookmark, a hyperlink or whether I type it in, myself. The page will start to load, then just hang,with the loading wheel spinning. The page does not freeze and you can stop, go back, reload etc. Sometimes, ebay or hotmail will load eventually, but there will be no, or only a few pictures and the website will consist of just a list of text headings where buttons and frames should be.
The problem exists in Firefox (3.6.25) and in Safari and Internet Explorer (the latter two are fairly old versions. Firefox is my default browser). The problem is the worst around the local afternoon and seems to go away entirely at about 11 o'clock in the evening. This is way in excess of local high volume times and other image and video heavy sites work fine during the outages. Other secure (http) sites work during the outages, too. This doesn't happen every day and appears both on weekdays and weekends. When I have outages lasting several hours, I have looked on the wider web (Google always seems to work) and I can find no traffic suggesting that significant numbers of other users are having problem.
So far, I have done the following:
cleared out cookies and the cache.
reinstalled Firefox
restarted the router
carried out a virus scan using ClamXav
disabled all security and blockers
disabled all add-ons
started Firefox in Safe Mode
None of the above made any improvement. Then, suddenly just before 11pm, everything started working, as per previous nights.
This is very strange behaviour which is extremely annoying and disruptive. Can anyone help, please?
I'm using a G5 2.7 with OSX ver 10.4.11. I have not changes the hardware and software seetting for many months (that I'm aware of) nor have I installed any new software (that I"m aware of).

thanks but already done. I've tried an old laptop and although it was loading the offending pages this evening, it was taking 20 mins to load each page. I need to go to my ISP, I reckon.
Yet again, all the relevant pages go down at around 1700 and then spring to life again at 2300.

I'm sure I will be calling AppleCare, but the problem is, they charge for the phone calls don't they? Because I don't have money to be spending to be on the phone with a support service.
In other things, it seemed like the only time my MacBook was working was when I had Snow Leopard without the 10.6.8 update download that was supposed to be done to prepare for OS X Lion.
When I look at the information of my HD it says that I have 10.6.8 but that was the install that it claimed to have failed and caused me to restart resulting in all of the repeated problems.
Also, because my computer is currently down, and I've lost all files how would that effect the use of my iPhone? Because if it doesn't get fixed by the time OS 5 is released, how would I be able to upgrade?!
