Gibson Dark Fire guitar

Gibson has done it again!!  After creating a new chapter in guitar history with the Robot Guitar, they have brought the technology to a new level with the Dark Fire.  Based off the classic look and beauty of the original Les Paul design that has been rocking the world since the 1950’s, this guitar carries on that tradition with the added bonus of the most advanced guitar technology of today.
This beautiful guitar has a chambered body with a figured maple top, mahogany sides and back, and a fast maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.  The finish on this guitar is incredible and must be seen in person to get the full effect.  Gibson created the Dark Fire nitrocellulose finish especially for this limited edition run of the guitar.  The finish is wonderfully complimented by a double black binding following the guitar body’s curves perfectly.  Next are the BurstBucker III and 6 Piezo pickups that are added to this guitar to make it a versatile tone monster.  The final touch on this guitar is the classic Gibson flowerpot inlay on the headstock.  This same inlay has graced a number of other classic designs by Gibson since 1911 and really ties the history of their instruments together with this breakthrough design.
The Dark Fire also includes the powerhead tuners first introduced with the Robot Guitar capable of 500 preset tunings on the fly.  However, they have extended the battery life of the original version to be twice as long.   With the Robot technology Gibson has now introduced their new Chameleon Tone Technology with the Dark Fire which allows the guitar to create any tone that you have ever wanted put through an amplifier.   Working with the Chameleon Tone Technology is the Robot Interface Pack (RIP) which allows you to connect the Dark Fire guitar to Windows or Mac computers to unleash this monster instrument even further and converts the guitars analog signal to a digital signal.  RIP connects to your computer with a single FireWire cable and the computer gives you instant access to countless recording applications and software effects processors, that come with every Dark Fire guitar. These programs give access to hundreds of different guitar effects and amplifiers.  Ultimately it’s the classic Gibson build and feel that make this not just a new wave of techy guitar fad but a rock solid instrument.  To get a more in depth description of the Dark Fire and a full listing of all that is included when you purchase this piece of history, check out the link below.

Guitar sounds awesome! I own a couple vintage Gibson jazz guitars, but would be interested because of automatic tuning and tonal options.

  • Frets on fire guitar

So I've installed frets on fire and everything is working nicely. Now I would like to have a guitar for my computer and I wonder which ones are easy to set up for linux.
The optimal for me would be to find a way to get wireless 360 guitars working, since i already own regular 360 controllers and I might want to use them for other purposes in the future.
But I'm open to use any other console guitar if there are a bunch of known problems with setting up the 360 ones.
These are the priorities for my setup:
    1. I need the ability to use multiple guitars for multiplayer
    2. They should be wireless
    3. I should be able to set up drums and other instruments in the future if i feel like it
    4. They should be for the Xbox 360 console so I can use myh regular 360 controllers as well.
I don't have bluetooth in my computer but I'm willing to buy adapters and anything else that i need to get this working.
    Thanks

a bit OT (I followed links from that site)

How do I configure the settings(?) to not have to log in every time I fire up a dark screen?  I'm coming off a PC.

Open System Preferences, go to Accounts (or Users and Groups if you're on 10.7), click Login Options, change Automatic Login to the name of your account. You will have to authenticate with your password. If all the boxes are greyed out, click the padlock first to unlock the screen.

  • How do i restore default text/font settings for fire fox?Text is not displaying correctly some letters not dark and see odd characters inplace of letters in words

How do i restore my text so that all words are uniform in darkness? Now some letters are fragmented or missing a part of it and see odd characters instead of letters in some sentences.Ive tried different fonts in the Options still the same.Would like to
be able to restore my default settings for text/fonts.Would that eliminate this problem?

Try to set the Boolean pref <b>gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading</b> to <i>false</i> on the <b>about:config</b> page.
To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
*Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
*Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
*Preferences can be reset to the default via the right-click context menu if they are user set
*Preferences can be changed via the right-click context menu: Modify (String or Integer) or Toggle (Boolean)

  • "New Project" choose option & when choose new, "Electric Guitar" -nothing!

Hi, Please would someone help me figure this GB preview/problem out?!
GB was fine for a few months, new computer etc but then...
    here it is:
One day when I opened GB, i selected 'electric guitar' icon option in the 'new project' section where you can choose 'software instrument',
'real instrument' and 'electric guitar' options
to start the project off with, clicked 'choose' and nothing happened.
So i chose a normal one and went in and tried to get up a 'new track' and selected 'electric guitar' from there, but nothing. No amps or pedals anywhere in the right hand list section. Normal/software tracks opened and worked ok.
Now there are no icons/options in the 'new project' window,
    at all!
It's dark grey - but if i double click on the 'new project' button on left list,
it brings up a basic style project name/signature/tempo etc window and then when it opens - does with software track.
So if i choose 'new track' from Track menu and select 'electric guitar' from the drop down preview tab thing w pictures like the preview thing used to be on the 'new project' window used to have, it doesn't do anything 'cept bring up the keyboard...
All the 'magic' and 'learn to play' etc options come up with preview choice/options when clicked but not 'New Project'.
Any ideas anyone?! This is what i've tried so far:
    1. i've deleted garageband plists except the one that says "com.apple.garageband.LSSharedFileList.plist" cus i don't know what that one is exactly -
Is it safe to delete it?!
    2. repaired permissions
    3. Thought about other apps that might be causing probs - uninstalled a Guru drum thing -still no luck-
    4. in the library and i can't find 'electric guitar' folder
in any of the application support folders...
    5. and wondered - I installed a retail copy of Logic Express 8
so i thought perhaps that was something to do with it...
can't remember if that was around the same time - maybe - but
it's so difficult to use and i'm learning it o so slowly - i really need my faithful ole GB to work
    in the meantime!!
Would appreciate any info/ similar experiences, solutions etc,
before i resort to a GB re-install from disc
(if that's possible from the ones that came with the computer, perhaps...???)
Thanks in advance for helping a girl with a guitar
who doesn't want to **** her neighbours off....

  • Fire wire cam doesnt work im messages chat

my fire wire Unibrain cam does not connect in messages chat and I cannot receive the other persons cam
. Are there settings I should correct.  I am using 10.8.4

    HI,
So you are getting video in to the App.
So any Firewire 400/800 issues are moot.
    Next step.
In the Video Menu is the Video option dark and active text and is it ticked ?
In the View Menu is Show Video Status ticked ?
This Menu  and the items from show Buddy Pics down rely on a Buddy list being "front"  (More on that in sec).
The first of these makes sure the camera is On and the second makes sure the Buddy Lists display the Video icons.
If there is not enough Internet Speed for Video Chats then the Video items may be ticked but greyed out.
To make sure you can see the Buddy Lists go to the Window Menu.
If you have set up iMessages and nothing else except Enable the Bonjour account then the Buddies item will dispaly the Bonjour list.
If you have AIM, Jabber or Yahoo IDs set up as well then the Buddies item is a combined list.
You can unlink them in the General section of the Preferences.
The Window Menu will change to list the Buddy Lists by the Description Fields in the Accounts section
An AIM Buddy list for example should display green Video icons next to the Buddies.
In this my other logged in AIM valid Names show up under Family and an Apple Test accounts shows in Auto Responders  (you can't Video with yourself but you an add the Buddy name to a Buddy list).
Only Jabber Buddy list will do this as well as the Yahoo option is Text only.
However it does have to be AIM to AIM or Jabber to Jabber.
AIM in this sense includes the Apple Issued IDs with the ending of @mac.com, @me.com and @icloud.com
Jabber ones can include GoogleTalk and Facebook IDs if you have Enabled Talk at Google or Chat at Facebook.
Sticking with the AIM case you would then click on the green video icon as one method of Starting a Video Chat.
As it is an AIM Buddy list the Buddy should be an AIM vlaid Buddy.
    Note
Apple IDs obviously have an @ in them and in most cases are valid emails (or have been in the past)
They are valid with the AIM service
GoogleMail IDs are then valid Jabber IDs once you enable Talk in Products at Google.  Facebook also uses the users email Address.
The can means that fro both services an email address is the valid ID.
Other Jabber IDs may not be email but do follow the [email protected] format.
This means it is possible to add the IDs or Screen Names from one service to the Buddy list of another.
The Buddy will appear Off line  in these case but you will not be told they are not a valid Buddy.
If the chat fails at this point you normally get some sort of alert message.
It may even have  pop up that can be expanded for more details.
You may see more in the Video Menu > Connection Doctor > Errors tab
If you have an AIM Buddy list then try adding the Apple Test Accounts.  See table 1
There used to be 6 (three plain AIM names and three @mac.com versions).
It tends to be that only 1 or 2 are On at any one time now.
Can you connect to this "Buddy" ?

  • Fire wire issue

I wish to purchase an Apple computer. The computer must have a fire wire connection. I don’t want to buy an Apple Pro (too expensive and I don’t need all the computering power), is there any Apple computer currently available that would have a fire wire connection other than the Apple Pro? If the answer is “no”, is there any point in me waiting (one is planned) or do I have to go the PC route? Thank you for your assistance.

    Ziatron wrote:

No need to go to the "Dark Side".
There is no dark side.. my 3yr old $560 Acer has served very well as a multi-track (8 simultaneous) mobile recording studio, not one problem or lost session in 3 years, use the built in Firewire for the audio interface. The dual G5 does the same job in the studio, no problems with WinXP or Win7, no problems with Panther, Tiger or Leopard... well, Leopard is a little kludgey mainly because of the extra graphic layers.
    It's all good.

  • IMac crt dark

The screen of my G3 400mhz iMac DV SE is now very dark, all settings are at their brightest in sys pref. It is viewable for text on white background and for most applications, it is unviewable for photos and dark background websites with low contrast text. It has been like this for sometime and once or twice after a restart it has been fully bright. I upgraded to the latest OSX in 12/05 but I don't remember if the problem started then or was prior to it. I have been upgrading since I got the machine and my firmware should be good. Other than this the computer works great. As peripherals I have a fire wire external hard drive,cd burner and voip modem and cable modem attached. My question, is this how crt's burnout or could it be a software/video card issue?
    Appreciate any suggestions!

    Hmm,
After some searching all I can find is this document. You've already done all the steps apart from taking it in to Apple.
I'd be tempted to hit the reset button on the side of the iMac.
I can only find this image right now - it's the "Bouton de réinitialisation".
Given the thousands of volts involved with CRTs I would not advise cracking open the iMac; unless you feel very confident.

  • Recording vocals and guitar at the same time, using the Alesis IO dock!

    Hi there!
I have an Ipad 2 with the newest OS installed etc. And I rea the other posts in here.
I bought an IO dock from Alesis the other day and was full of exspectations, but I got a bit disappointed -> Garageband! When I bought the Ipad dock I exspected that I would be able to record (or just play and hear the inputsound from two devices) at the same time in my headphones! But I wasn't... Now I'm wondering if this is going to be fixed in an update or not? I think it would be a shame if this issue isnt adressed, due to the huge abilities the Ipad/garageband/Ipad docks withhold.
So anyone know anything? I went to my musicstore and spent about an hour or so with the tech dude there trying dfferent setups, but unfortunatly without luck! Just to clarify that I didt just plugged in my guitar and got mad that it wasnt apple intuative!
    Hope someone can help :)

I am wondering if I can record audio and midi at the
same time in Logic 7 Express. I am running my guitar
thrugh a Roland GR 33, and a line out and using the
GR 33 to trigger sounds in the Logic's synth section
but cant seem to record all three tracks at once. If
any one knows how let me know. Oh and I am running
the GR Synth and Guitar into the Prosonus Fire Fox
and have the GR 33 out midi to the Fire Box as well.
So I guss the question is how do I sent up two audo
tracks and one midi track to record in real time.
    Thanks Victor
Try arming the audio tracks, select one of the tracks, then while holding down the shift key, select the midi track you want to record, arming the "r" on the midi track. Press "record".....

  • How do I get the cells to show up darker when printing my document

When using Numbers, how do I get the cells to show up darker when printing my document?

Are you asking about the cell background, as ivmedic has assumed, or about how to make the grid lines separating the cells darker?
    Select the table.
Use the controls shown above this table to change:
Stroke type from "Thin" to the solid line shown.
    Stroke thickness to 1 pt
Stroke colour to a darker value (This is set to black, the rightmost cell in the top row of the Color Palette available fir this Color Well.)
the controls are toward the right end of the Format Bar.

  • OnMouseClicked Event Is Failing To Fire

After clicking on the blue rectangle while the program is running the onMouseClicked Event fails to fire. I am expecting a message to appear in NB's Output window. Below is the relevant source code in relation to handling the onMouseClicked event:

}Have I missed anything in relation to handling the onMouseClicked event for the blue rectangle?

I upgraded my custom skinnable control (as shown in [Controls+Skins / CSS - Do Not Scale (BUG)|http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5363533] in a compact form). I had some trouble, but with a little help from the MediaBox sample, I finally had something working.

  • Electric Guitar for Recording

    Hi,
    I'm using Logic Express Actually.
I'm using very cheap guitar for Recording...that's EG112 yamaha electric guitar and RBX170 with me and my recording!!:D
Erm...is it really important to get a high range Guitar for recording??like Taylor,Fender,Ibanez,Martin,Gibson and so on??
What about the lower range of Fender-Squire??Ibanez Gio??and something like Samick Fastback or Cobra??and oso china made guitar??
any expert can really give me a hand and idea on it before i make a investment??
    Thanks
    Ray

If the rest of the guitar is nice, and only the sound is the problem, perhaps the pickups aren't matched to the body (many inexpensive guitar manufacturers use "stock" pickups which are one size fits all). If anything, I have modified almost all of my guitars (mostly older Ibanez models), fitting in pickups that I felt matched the guitar (part research and part dumb luck - fortunately, my choices seemed to have brought out the best of those guitars).
As for recommending a pick-up, it really depends on what you want to bring out of the guitar. You don't just want to stick a pick-up in and hope for the best. Just remember that you lose high-end as you increase your pick-up output. On certain guitars, this would render it to nothing more than a 6-string baseball bat. Keep in mind the body material, shape and size when choosing a pickup. Everything plays a part in your sound.

Using Adobe Reader 8.1.2 for Mac OS X and 8.* for Windows, my PDFs printed out identically for both platforms.
However, after I upgraded Windows Adobe Reader from 8 to 9.0.0, it prints out the PDFs significantly darker than before, whereas when I upgraded the OS X Adobe Reader from 8.1.2 to 9.0.0, the print outs did not get any darker.
Now they are both on v9.0.0, Windows printouts are significantly darker than the OS X printouts, using the same PDF file, printer, etc.
Any idea what's going on here? Is there some of weird gamma correction-type thing going on - although I thought that only affected monitor displays, not print outs? Or should I report it as a bug?
The PDF I am testing is here:

I also tried printing it out from other PDF viewers - Preview.app on OS X and Foxit Reader on Windows - and they both print out normally i.e. the same as Adobe Reader 8.* for all platforms, and 9.0 for OS X - definitely not as dark as Adobe Reader 9.0.0 for Windows.
I'm running OS X 10.5.4 and Windows XP Professional as a VM using Parallels.
Needless to say, I want to be able to generate PDFs that have the same darkness regardless which PDF viewer or OS platform is being used to print it out.
    Thanks, Xen

    Thanks Michael,
The file that I have sent her has both vector and raster graphics in it, and they were apparently printing fine. It just seems to be text that's not printing correctly.
