Export in SWF format instead of GIF format. The GIF format
only supports
256 colors, which isn't enough for photographic images.
That's why it
looks blotchy.

    How to make a colorful Gif Image for Happy Holi 2014

    Okay, I know this doesn't answer your question, but don't get me wrong. A logo is meant to be the way it was designed - upright, no flipping/ swiveling animation. Why exactly do you want to let your logo turn around?
    If its to grab attention, why dont you consider animating the area on which your logo sits (header)? Or maybe add nice transitive slideshows on your main content area to add more interactivity?

    Hi,
    No errors was found in the installation log. I'm looking in the WWDOC_DOCUMENT$ table and found records that make references to my previous tries to upload the logo image. In order to make others tries, how can I delete this information? Are references to this files in any other table?.
    I'm looking over the solution provide by Laurent Baresse, refering to the NLS_LANGUAJE problem ... (Thanks Laurent).

  • Animated GIF image gets distorted while playing.

    Hi,
    I have some animated gif images which I need to show in a jLabel and a jTextPane. But some of these images are getting distorted while playing in the two components, though these images are playing properly in Internet Explorer. I am using the methods insertIcon() of jTextPane and setIcon() of jLabel to add or set the gif images in the two components. Can you please suggest any suitable idea of how I can get rid of this distortion? Thanks in advance.

    In the code below is a self contained JComponent that paints a series of BufferedImages as an animation. You can pause the animation, and you specify the delay. It also has two static methods for loading all the frames from a File or a URL.
    Feel free to add functionality to it, like the ability to display text or manipulate the animation. You may wan't the class to extend JLabel instead of JComponent. Just explore around with the painting. If you have any questions, then feel free to post.
    The downside to working with an array of BufferedImages, though, is that they consume more memory then a single Toolkit gif image.

  • Creating GIF images, how do I edit all frames at once?

    Hey everyone. So I now how to make GIF images already. The problem I'm having is that I can't seem to figure out how to edit all the frames at once. I would like to brighten them up and add curves, maybe sharpen.
    I tried selecting all the layers, but then all the image editing options greyed out and weren't available.
    I really don't want to individually edit 58 frames, lol.
    Is there a way to edit all at once?
    PS - I'm using Photoshop CS3, if that helps!
    Thanks a lot!
    Mike

    amazing, you're just amazing!!
    thank you SOOOOOO much!

  • Using GIF images in iMovie11 ??

    Admittedly this is now my first attempt at using the iMovie8/9/11 editing structure since I was perfectly satisfied with iMovie06 HD and that timeline approach. In the old program I had GIF formatted images (Maps) that I had available in my "Photos" Media for adding to my Project timeline in the same fashion I would use a still JPG photo.
    After a number of hours searching the forum here and all the iMovie 9/11 documentation I can find, it appears  this new version of iMovie does not display GIF images in your iPhoto Media list to use for projects. Bottomline is I am not able to drag a gif map into my video project. It seems only JPG format files are now displayed in iMovie's iPHOTO Media source list.  I have one graphic that is a collage of photos and graphical objects which I had saved in JPG format to preserve the photo quality and that one shows in my Media list. No GIFs.  What gives?  I can open iPhoto stand alone and see my map graphics that are present in the database in their own Rolls.  I've tried dragging, dropping, importing, etc. with no success.
    This is a significant limitation (or bug) if the current version of iMovie does not allow free use of graphical images in GIF format. Can anyone shed some light on this and help solve my problem before I go back to iMovie HD?  Thanks in advance.

    video isn't based upon limited 256 colors, nor has inserting a file-size-degraded still any effect on the resulting video-file size.
    Photoshop is a >1k$ professional tool, meant for stills - so, it should support a bunch of formats, including obsolete ones. iMovie is a 15$ consumer toy tool, by concept reduced in options to offer convenience - for a broad range of people - I dare to say, the majority of iMovie users dont even know the existence of 'gif', iMovies iLife partner for stills, iPhoto, is biased to jpg.-
    Klondike Kid wrote:

    on MacOS, there's little options, I haven't tried, but I wouldn't be surprised, if FCPX doesn't support gif either. pretty sure, Premiere as part of the Adobe CS suite, will handle it - somehow.
    happy movie making!

  • Converting GIF images to JPG - display problems in browser

    I am currently writing a program that uses the ImageIO package (javax.imageio.*) to take GIF and PNG images and convert them to JPG images. The program seems to convert them correctly, especially for the PNG images, but the converted GIF images don't open in a browser. They open just fine in Windows Picture and Fax viewer, but when I try to open them in IE or Firefox, it only diplays the little red 'x'.
    Is anyone familiar enough with Images and the ImageIO package in Java that they may have some insight on why these converted GIF files won't display in a browser.

    Bonjour,
    In my [website|http://iweb.debutersurmac.com>, all the images are JPG files,
    By default iWeb '09 converts images to JPG (yes, it's true)...
    ...unless you use masked images*
    !http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/09/02/44/99/masked10.jpg!
    Crop your images (with Preview) before you paste them in iWeb. Don't use mask, Unmask an image if it's masked. That's the trick!
    !http://i32.servimg.com/u/f32/09/02/44/99/unmask10.jpg!
    (* images with transparency areas (ex : some PNG and GIF), rotation and shapes in iWeb make also PNG files in your website.)

  • Gif images blurry - asha302

    Hello people. I have this issue with relatively large GIF images, they look blurred when I use the zoom-in. They actually don't zoom. I solved this using the editor and saving them as JPGS but I would like to know if this is something in common with all the Asha phones.
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    That is a bug in the ‘new’ gallery which was introduced 2010 with Series 40 6th Edition PR9.1. Some anti-alias filter is applied (to make JPEG look better, breaks GIF and PNG). By the way, if you zoom-in and zoom-out again, JPEGs get better. Or stated differently: Normal behaviour because that bug is not important to Nokia.

  • ITunes converts all my GIF images to JPG when I sync my iPhone.

    I have an iPhone and a Mac, and on my iPhone I have noticed that whenever I preview my images, GIF images won't play. They will just sit there, and I can only see one frame of them. I have to send the GIFs to myself through text to see them play, but they are GIF files on my iPhone. But, the recent images that I have downloaded from my iTunes to my iPhone do not show up as GIFs, they show up as JPGs instead. Everytime I sync my photos, the GIFs just randomly get converted into JPG images on my iPhone, and I'm not sure how to stop it from doing that. I don't know any other way to move my images from my Mac onto my iPhone without going through iTunes to do so. Is there a way I can get it to stop converting them to JPGs, or is there another way to put photos from my Mac to my iPhone? Thanks!

  • How do you get .gif images to move?

    I know when you take pictures in photo booth you can export it to your iChat account to make it a little animation. But how do i get the .gif images i dragged & dropped from the web to move? I open Preview to view the .gif but it just gives me all the frames of the picture and not really an animation. Can anyone help me make them move?

    I presume you want to have an animated buddy icon?
    In case you have leopard installed;
    1. Select the 4 photo (burst) button in Photo Booth.
    2. Look: 1.straight into the camera and after the flash look 2.left, 3.right an up.
    3. Select the miniature in the photo booth picture bar, if you like it: click on the iChat icon.
    4. Open iChat>preferences>general>tick the box "show animated buddy icons".
    You have an animated buddy icon and you can see your buddy's animations as well, in case they have one.

    HI and Welcome to Apple Discussions...
    If you right or control click an image a pop up menu will appear but just clicking on an image shouldn't result in the file automatically downloading.
    Try resetting Safari and emptying the cache.
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
    From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
    Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.

    Make sure Safari is not running in Rosetta. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. In the Get Info window click the black disclosure triangle so it faces down. Where you see Open using Rosetta... make sure that is NOT selected.

    Thanks for any help.

    In Java you need to override the paint method in AWT and paintComponenet method in SWING to do graphics/animation. If you go to an offscreen rendering, then you can paint to the graphics context of an image you use for a drawImage in your paint/paintComponent...
    If you where overriding a Panel in AWT you would override paint:
    public void paint(Graphics g){
      g.drawImage(im, 0, 0, this);
    }Then where you are maipulating your graphics you would do something like this:
    //code snippet
    Graphics g = im.getGraphics();
    //make what ever changes to im by manipulating the graphics context g
    repaint();
