GIF Pics

I have GIF pics on my iPod Video and it seems not to show up right. The pics are animated but when I click on it, it doesn't animate. Can someone please help. Thanks in advance.

Why not convert them to a QT movie. There are a lot of utilities that will convert, frame by frame, then just export as a QT movie.
been a while since I did this but I found some freeware stuff in a google search a few years back. Unfortunatly I don't have that info any more. If you have QT Pro see if you can import your animated gif, then save as a "self cantained" movie. then convert for ipod.

Placing a animated GIF pic with .Mac mail

Hello, I am a pretty experienced user and cannot find a way to attach an animated GIF to my email. I use .Mac mail and downloaded a program to make animated pictures. The only program I can animate my pics in is Text Edit. I did a thorough search and could not find an answer. Any help will be appreciated. Many thanks.

Sending a animated GIF via .Mac mail

Hi everyone, I know this is the wrong forum, although my question crosses over. I want to send animated GIF pics. through my .Mac account. I downloaded many really cool animated pics. and can only watch them move in Text Edit. Is it possible to send them in the mail, or even attach them in the forum? This is no life or death question, just fun. I want to attach the funny moving little animals to my friends. When I attach them to mail, they no longer move. On my own system I can see them wiggle around only in Text Edit. Many thanks to replies.

Oh, on the other questions, they can be added to most forums, view the Source of this page, search for DSOM, and you'll see the code required, just replace with your animated gif.

Importing a .gif picture to a vi

hi i have try copy and paste a .gif pic to my vi ... there is text in my gif pic welcome to abcsytem...the last letter abc system doesnt appear in the image i paste in ..why this occurs...
the .gif is welcome run 1 second....then to ...1second.....abcsystem...1 second...
i use photoshop to do it but in a gif i can see this three text moving correctly...but in NI labview8.0
the .gif last word didnt appers why? can anyone help me ..tq

Safari 7, Mavericks and GIFs

So...
After upgrading to Mavericks and Safari 7, Safari stopped working as it should, and now I can't see the .Gif pics...
What can I do about it?

Uploaded a pic, but i does not show in browser..

hi all.
i uploaded a pic "diso.gif" using the pic repository utility and assigned it to my app 107.
then i replaced the original picture oracle picture from my template with the diso.gif pic:

but it does not show. is something wrong there? in the browser the pic has the path "http://192.168.255.20:7777/i/diso.gif"...

Forwarding email with animations results in Missing Plug-in

This question is partly related to an earlier post regarding an IncrediMail email that contains jpg and gif pics, and links to websites.
When the email is received everything is seen as it should be. However, when either the Reply button is clicked to reply to the sender, or the Forward button is clicked to forward to someone else, the pics and links in the email are replaced with "Missing Plug-in". What is causing this?

Maybe the links you posted but just saying Look in the More like this section really doesn't. But hey you got time on your hands.

Create Web Photo Album Problem

Please help!!!!!! I have the Adobe Web Premium Suite CS3 so I
have all the programs loaded on my computer.
I have been working on this for 2 days and cannot get this
command to work. I have 15 folders of pics that need to be put up
and I want family to be able to click on the thumbnail and open up
to a larger pic. There are over 100 pics in there. I loaded all the
pics in their own folders; I have tried jpg, tiff, jpeg, psd and
gif pics; (I separated them by file name so there are none mixed in
the folders) I put the pic folders inside my web page folder, then
I tried it on my desktop and I tried to use My Pictures folder.
This is how I am doing this:
I have the index.html page open on Dreamweaver CS3
I hit Command > Create Web Photo Album >
fill out "Photo album title:
fill out "Subheading info:
fill out "Other info:
In the "Source images folder:" when I Browse I go to the
folder and
I click on it and when that opens there are no pics in there.
Nothing shows up at all.
I finish up the rest and an error message shows up "An error
occurred".
Anyone know what I am doing wrong????

Displaying image from Webserver on to a Swing application

We're developing an application that is typically swing <-> servlet <-> database.We want to retrieve an image present on the server system through a servlet( which actually gets the path of the image stored in the database and returns that image file on the HDD of server system as a byte[ ]).
My problem is im reading the image from the byte[ ] on the swing client and creating a new .gif file on the client system but couldnt create its dimensions.hence not able to display it on my app.Plz help.Thx for ur consideration.

ePrintCenter states "Photo files will always be printed in 4x6”. Is there a workaround? It seems presumptuous and restrictive to assume everyone wants to print jpg/gif pics on 4x6/PhotoPaper. I have a black&white scanned drawing that needs to be on larger 8.5x11 standard paper so I can read it.

Zipping and Unzipping Directories and files both - URGENT PLEASE

I tried for zipping and unzipping but it is not working still.
and have to submit project tomorrow.
so please as possible as fast just send me the source code that zip the file/folder and unzip in the same way as it was stored.
ex : if we zip file c:/temp/myfolder/myfile.ppt to .zip
unzip should c:/temp/myfolder/myfile.ppt

I believe (although I don't want to put words in his mouth) that Madan has run across a similar problem that I am trying to solve.
For instance if I have the following files:
c:\pic1.gif
c:\pic2.gif
c:\pic3.gifand I zip them in to a file called: pics.zip the will unzip just fine.
However, if I have them in a directory:
c:\pics\pic1.gif
c:\pics\pic2.gif
c:\pics\pic3.gifA listing of the zip files (all using java of-course) will show the files and dirs correctly:
\pics\pic1.gif
\pics\pic2.gif
\pics\pic3.gifbut will give the following error if you try to un-zip them:
"The system cannot find the path specified"The ZipEntry class has an 'isDirectory()' method, but it only returns true in the case of an EMPTY directory. If , as in my example, there is an actual file at the end of the entry, it returns false.
So, at least in my case, I would be looking for advice on how to expand files that reside in directories within the zip file.

Muvo N200's recording co

I'm very interested in the Muvo N200 for doing field recording, but I need to know the encoding format that it uses when recording via the line in port (and via the mic if they're different).

I'm using the N200 to record li've sessions of my band, and have definitely had clipping problems. Clipping behavior is hard to diagnose but my inspection of the waveform is showing a numerical overflow Here's a <A HREF="http://moebi.us/misc/MuVoN200Clipping.gif]pic of a sample waveform[/url].
If there is an overflow or clip indicator, it disappears after it happens, which is the incorrect behavior as far as I'm concerned. A Clip indicator on a recording device like this should probably stick around until you've either pressed a button or stopped recording (perhaps this could be a toggle.) Most audio software I've used has the same paradigm. The only other alternati've is to have a level meter with clipping-hold peaks.
But I'd like to see the clickless firmware upgrade a bit sooner first.

When i call the pic by the 1st method the picture (.gif) is displayed on the localhost machine but cannot be accessed from the remote machine.
with the second mothod the localhost and the remote user both cannot see the icon.
does any one know how to solve this problem?

AND
pics/picture1.gif
Type in on the address bar: http://localhost:8080/pics/picture1.gif
Does the image show up? If so, and pics/picture1.gif does not work, try /pics/picture1.gif.
If it does not show up, try moving the pics folder under your ROOT webapp so it would be:
webapps/ROOT/pics/picture1.gif
Then try accessing with
pics/picture1.gif
/pics/picture1.gif
or
../pics/picture1.gif

EMS Animated Messaging on HTC Incredible

Hello,
Is there anyway to send and receive the old "little kid face animations" on the droid incredible? They were usually on LG phones, when composing a text message, you chose the Add-Animation-WOW, FLIRTY, GLASSES, IRONIC, ETC...
I understand the EMS messaging involves a code that is sent from the cell and is interpreted on the receiving side, I'm no computer processing major..
I love these little guys and I thought for sure the incredible would be able to support this archaic messaging.
Anyone out there have any suggestions or a fix? I have had people attempt sending the animations, resulting in a blank text message.

Flash animation gif pics aren't supported in 2.1 software. I think 2.2 has the fix.

Iphone5 OS7 pastes web address when I copy a gif or pic. WHATS UP

When I find a gif or even a picture I want to copy, I do the same thing I did before upgrading to OS7.. finger on screen until box comes up with options to save, copy , open .. blah blah then go to a message box or whereever I wanted to paste and paste the gif or photo.. In os6 I could paste the actual phot or gif.. Now with OS7 it pastes the web address instead of the gif or photo. HOW DO I GET THIS TO WORK LIKE BEFORE?

Prior to installing the OS7 on my phone, I would go to images find one I like.. press on pic or gif .. when you select it, it gives you options to save copy or whatever.. I would copy and then go to paste in a text message.. it now pastes the web address not the pic.. I dont save because its not something i want to keep.. although since this has become a problem, I have tried saving the image.. it saves the site when i try to paste it still.
