Gift Card bought from Authorized Dealer

So I was given a gift card from Verizon worth $100..Apparently, I wanted to use it to buy a new phone but Verizon didnt want to accept it because the gift card was bought from an Authorized Dealer. The gift card was CLEARLY a Verizon card, so my question is WHY cant I use it for a purchase to another Verizon store other than the one where the gift card was bought? The store where the gift card was bought is a Verizon Store, so it confuses people BIG TIME because the bigger Verizon store says its not actually a Verizon store! Which is which?!

Hello frencchy, I apologize for the inconvenience and the confusion. Does the gift card have any branding other than Verizon Wireless? Did the corporate location attempt to run the gift card for payment? You can also try to use the gift card on http://www.vzw.com/myverizon to see if it will be valid. Any iTunes gift cards (including gift cards for iBooks, for Apps, for iTunes) once redeemed into your account, can then be used to buy anything including music, movies, iBooks, Apps, and even in-App items.
Apple's gift cards no matter what it is supposed to be for, happens to be just the very same thing, and can be used for anything on iTunes Store.

You might be able to buy the gift cards from Best Buy. They sell iTunes cards and will accept international credit cards. See:

They say that you can't order iTunes "codes", but I don't know if that applies to the physical cards. But you can try it.

I got a Gift Card bought in The Netherlands, while my Apple ID is linked on the Belgian store. When I write down the code in the Belgian store, iTunes sends me to the NL-shop. When I write down the code in the NL-shop, I'm told that my Apple-ID is restricted to the Belgian Store...
Do I have to conclude that my gift card is worthless now? :-(

iTunes gift cards are only valid in their country of issue, so you will need to be in the Netherlands with a Dutch billing address to be able to use that card. Do you know anybody in the Netherlands that you could sell or give the card to ?

Gift Card bought in different country

THIS IS A REALLY CONFUSING QUESTION.. (lol)
I received a gift card as a stocking stuffer over the holidays. I was waiting until I had under a dollar on my account, but currently I don't.. I'm just eager to ask!
Will I be able to redeem it? I received, as the title says, a gift card. It was bought in Austria..
Here is where it gets confusing. (I then have another question.)
I live in France. I used to live in Canada, so my current account is in Canada. (However, I had to have my system re-done of some sort and later changed my city/country to Somewhere, France.) Will I be able to redeem it, seeing as the address is Canadian?
Also, do I need to clear my money out before I can change countries? (I read this once, I believe on iTunes.) If so, what if I have let's say .27 in my account, can I clear that out somehow?
Also, I'm not quite sure the address is Canadian, it could be Somewhere, France now. lol

If you have a credit card in Canada for an address there you would need a Canadian gift card. If you go to Austria you would need an Austrian credit card, and address in Austria, and then you would be able to use the Austrian gift card.
As for location, here's what AppleUS says and I expect they are similar for other countries.
"The Services are available to you only in the United States, its territories, and possessions. You agree not to use or attempt to use the Services from outside these locations. Apple may use technologies to verify your compliance."

We just got my son an iPhone and have it under the same iTunes account as his iPod. Last night he was trying to download a new ringtone but kept getting asked answers to security questions. We thought we knew the answers, but they wouldn't work. After speaking with a customer service rep, he said it would be easier to create a new iTunes account. My problem is, we have the funds from a gift card under the account with the iPod. If I create a new account, is there any way to transfer the gift card funds to the new account?

As far as I know it's not possible to transfer a balance from one account to another account, but you should be able to get the questions and answers reset.
If you have a rescue email address set up on that account then you can try going to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you might see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox)

If the gift card was purchased from the iTunes USA Store, it is only valid for a recipient who has a valid account in the iTunes USA Store and is physically in the USA at the time they use it.
