Gift card wasn't activated at register

my friend gave me three 10$ iTunes gift cards for christmas, when i tried redeeming the codes it said "ERROR the gift certificate or prepaid card code you entered has not been properly activated. please contact iTunes store costomer support for assistance at http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/." I know that they have to be activated at the register upon purchase in order to work, this warning says they haven't been activated properly, on top of that the stupid websit wont let me email itunes, it says "cannot send your email at this time", please help.

An Xbox gift card that has not been properly activated is really nothing more than a piece of cardboard, so let's see what can be done to correct that for you. I pulled up your account using the email address that you registered with the forum and it looks like Heidi has already replied to a Twitter email you sent us. Itunes gift card also not activated properly here code 5301

Bought itunes gift cards on black friday...went to redeem them, got code 5301, not activated properly on all the cards. But have all the activation receipts. Waited 24 hours just like the store and receipt said. Till this day still not activated. E-mailed itunes support twice. Responses taking forever to get. Even gave them scans of cards and receipts. Anyone else having or had any luck with this?

Gift cards for any retailer require P. O. S. activation, to prevent stolen cards from having any value for use. This means that when you pay for the card, the card's serial number will then be automatically activated. If this did not occur, you should call the telephone number on the back of the card. This is a user-to-user forum, so an Apple employee will not usually respond to any topics.

ITunes needs to fix the problem with there gift cards not being activated this is not up to the retailer and they will not return scratched coded cards! There is thousands of people having this problem please fix it

Where do I sign up?

i hav just brought three iTunes gift cards in the last 2 days thinkin that there was just a problem with a perticular 1 . but now that i do my research they is no real sollution 2 this problem yet... i do alot of downloading and stuff 4 myself and i am lost with out the new music i cant download cuz of this problem im very annoyed with it and i hope some1 can figure it out 4 me i hav sent emails n letters 2 the support people thing and still no reply i hope i get a quicker response through here

ITunes Gift Card code "cancelled"

I have a $25 iTunes gift card that I typed the code in for and it kept saying that it was invalid. I was unable to read some of pthe code. Due to this, I contacted the iTunes Support Team and gave them the serial number from the gift card so that they could retrieve my code. Unfortunately, they said that, "it appears that the code has been cancelled by the retailer" and that I needed to "contact Best Buy to inquire as to why the gift card wa cancelled" and to "ask them if they can re-activate it" for me.
Can my gift card be re-activated? The serial number is {edited per forum guidelines}. Unfortunately I do not have my receipt because this was given to me as a gift over a year ago and I am just now trying to use it. Any assistance would be appreciated!

I only came to find out about this as I was researching in to ways to send 2 codes I got for taking surveys in a nice gift type message other than just sending them in a e-mail I have to a relitive for a birthday gift as I dont have a ipod/ipad and dont plan on using them. its scarry reading that other are having this issue and how big it is and how it seems to be happening.

I've just brought an Itunes £15 gift card. i have activated the reedem etc and it clearly says £15 by my email address. But when i clicked "buy" to purchase a song, it takes me the "vertification is reguired" where you put your ID password in and then it goes to a billing page for credit cards :S im only trying to buy a song, and it does this for everything. Go into the Payment information in your account and set the payment method to "none" if it's not set that way already. That should stop the regular requirements for verification. If it doesn't, though, and still asks every time - one of my accounts does - you should just be able to click through the buttons without problems. If it's really irritating (I don't buy much via that problem account so it's not an issue for me), contact the iTunes Store and see if they can help you with the problem:

I recieved a 100 dollar app store gift card when I bought my mac for college. when I tried to redeem the card it said that it hadnt been "properly activated". I typed it in at least three times, double checking the letters, then I used the camera to get the code and the same message kept coming up. I'm not sure how to "properly activate" my card.
