Gift certificate with email notification never arrived

I purchased a gift certificate for my nephew and chose to have him notified by email. Unfortunately, his notification never arrived. I have tried to contact Apple, but thus far have not penetrated past the computer voice on the phone or the automated support online which does not help. The purchase does not show up under my order history. Does that mean it was never made? Or has my credit card been charged even though there is no record of the purchase in the history? Not sure what to do next. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I wanted the gift certificate to arrive in time for Christmas. Help?! ~Jaeni

Sorry, but you cannot give iTunes gifts, whether via gift certificate or a prepaid card, to someone outside of the US. Gifts purchased in the US are valid only in the US iTunes Store which cannot be used outside of the country. If you find that you have been charged for the gift, the easiest thing to do will be to resend the gift, this time choosing someone in the US. Otherwise, you can contact the iTunes Store and ask if they will grant a refund.
I have tried to contact Apple, but thus far have not penetrated past the computer voice on the phone or the automated support online which does not help.
Just for future reference, the iTunes Store has no telephone support. They can be contacted only by using the form on their Support page (select the category and subcategory closest to the issue you're reporting and you'll find either an "Express Lane" button - just follow the instructions to get to the contact form - or an "Email Us" button)
Regards.

    What version of Solman are you using ?  Check in t-code Rz20 >ccms monitor template of satelliate system , there would be option to monitor your outbound mails .You can sutomise your monitorig metrics in solman 7.1  else in 7.01 you use auto reaction methods to monitor .

  • I purchased an iTunes gift certificate with my Canadian-based American Express card (I live there) and had it emailed as a gift to someone at a hotel in the U.S.; Now, he cannot seem to use it. Apple online said it is cause it's only usable in Canada! Wha

    I bought a gift certificate from iTunes, online, for someone travelling in the U.S. temporarily. He is a Canadian, I am a U.S. citizen, and I bought it using my Canda-based American express account, as I live in Canada.  Now he is told by Apple on the telephone that he cannot use the certificate to buy anything as it was purchased on a computer in Canada.  This seems utterly impossible!  Does Apple have walls between countries?  It seems to me that someone stuck in a hotel, with his iPhone, might want to purchase stuff from iTunes, but now it seems this cannot be done and he will have to return to Canada to use the certificate.  What the heck kind of instant gift service is that!?
    Anyone know how to deal with this?  The person travelling is gone another couple of months.  Anyone ever try for a refund from iTunes?

    When you tried to contact Support with the card's images how were you trying to do it, on your phone or a browser on your computer ? And have you tried a different browser to see if you get the same error message ?
    As well as images of the card they might also want an image of its receipt.
    And to contact Support you were using : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ , and clicked on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then iTunes Cards And Codes ?

  • How can I get my iTunes:FeedID - My email notification never came

    How can I get my iTunes:FeedID to use with my podcasts if my notification email never arrived (it may have been sent, but I've never seen it)? I don't see a place to look for it and it's not listed in my profile or my account on Apple.com. And surely there must be another way to get this number without relying on the vagaries of email.
    My podcast was submitted a few weeks ago and just to double check, I tried to submit it again and was told that it had already been submitted, so I know iTunes has it.
    I can't update my WordPress podcast blog to say I've created more podcasts if I don't have this number.
    Can someone tell me how I can find what this number is?
    Thanks so much.

  • Anyone having issue with email notification delay in ES4?

    After upgrade from ES2 to ES4, we're experiencing an email notification delay when a task is assigned to an individual or group queue. It's not consistent, but happen enough that we can some what replicate it. It's almost like an email notification from task assignment wouldn't send through until we kick off another process or claim another task. This happens with server default email notification as well as custom email notification. Please advise how I can go about trouble shooting this.

    This is what in the log at the time I ran the test process & email notification delay occured. Again, the email notification delay wasn't the issue when we were in ES2, until we upgraded to ES4 recently. The delay happens spontaneously, no specific pattern. Sometimes it'll arrive instantly and sometimes it will delay. However, when the notification delay occur, if I kick off another new process, the notification will come through.

  • I there a problem with email notifications?

    Hi.Since yesterday morning, I am no longer receiving email notifications through my email provider regarding new postings on threads that I've commented on in this forum, although I can still see them under my profile on this website.I haven't edited my preferences or my spam controls but they don't appear in the spam either.Anybody experiencing the same?

    You're telling me! I made the mistake of clicking on "receive email notifications" for every community so ended up with about 300 emails! But of course it was a website problem, not my settings.To top it all, as soon as I deleted all the emails, the Wi-Fi on my W995 decided it had enough and couldn't even find my router in the same room.I've just handed it in for a warranty repair (hopefully) as it's less than 3 months old and no amount of troubleshooting (update service, soft reset, hard reset,update service no 2, phone repair and update service no 3) could fix it.They say it comes in threes....

  • Associate a gift certificate with a promotion

    We need to extend a gift certificate object and associate a promotion with it. For example, $100 for a GC, but the GC can only be used for category X.
    Somehow we need to run the promotion rules, get a true or false value and determine whether the rules are applicable to the order.
    The reason we need to use GC is that the amount needs to be a fixed amount, that can be used across multiple orders within a fixed range. Eg: GC has $100 with a promo for category Y, $75 for one order, then they can come back before the promo expires and use the remaining $25 for cat Y again. We also need to make sure this $75 value is only applied to the relevant products, in the event there are other products not under cat Y. We pretty much need a coupon to have a re-usable decreasing monetary value.
    Any thoughts on how this can be achieved?
    We are on 9.4.
    Cheers,
    Dom
    Edited by: dominiclovell on Jul 5, 2012 11:57 AM

    Technically when GC is claimed, a new electronic group is created and deducted. To implement the functionality you want to achieve, lot of code changes are needed.
    1. Add a new promotion property in "giftCertificateClaimable" linking to "promotion" item-descriptor in claimable repository
    2. Add an attribute "category" in "promotion" item-descriptior in pricingModels.xml to recognize the categories the promotion belongs to and make this promotion be usable many times.
    3. Over-ride handle method (such as handleMoveToConfirmation())when you are trying to claim the gift certificate and do the following.
    handleMoveToConfirmation(){
    RepositoryItem gcRepItem = claimableTools().getClaimableItem("giftcertificatecode");
    RepositoryItem promotionItem = gcRepItem.getPropertyValue("promotion");
    promotionTools.addPromotion(profileId, promotionItem);
    repriceOrder();
    super.moveToConfirmation();
    Use promotionTools to remove the promotion from the Profile.activePromotions ( Reason for doing this is, when the registered user comes back, the promotion is not
    applied on the order without user entering the GC. This is your decision, either you can keep this or remove this piece of code);
    splitPG();
    updateOrder();
    splitPG(){
    Split the paymentgroup across commerce items and populate relationship payItemRelationships of the order.( Look for API's to split the PG's across the items to send it to fulfillment);
    Use the attribute defined in step 2 to check if a particular sku belongs to that category or not and then split it.
    Hope this gives you starting point for this task. Look into API's for more details.

    Hi,
    have you checked this link :http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/notification.htm

  • I bought a gift certificate for email that didn't make it to the recipient

    used my debit card, bought an email gift certificate, and it hasn't shown up in the recipient's email yet. how can I check on that? Worried that I mistyped the email address or something...
    How long does it take to show up?

    I think it's only because you have so few authorized locations where you are. I bought mine at Best Buy in the states so I can take it into Best Buy OR any APple store I happen to be near.
    Its kinda like having a 'free refill coffee cup' that you purchased from a Tim Hortons (a chain in Canada). Easy to get a refill in Canada, won't be honored anywhere else.

    I want to implement faulpolicies.xml and send email notification. (for binding ,remote fault after certain retries).Can I use email activity in BPEL catch block for this , what should I add ,in my faultpolicies.xml to trigger email activity

    </retry>
    </Action>
    </Actions>
    Also, can anyone please tell which is a better option - using email activity or custom java code in fault
    policies.xml.
    Thanks

    Like Oraacler suggested, you can definitely rethrow the fault to BPEL to send the notification. However, your BPEL fault handlers will become pretty tedious when you have to check for error types in your catch block to retrieve the message and type the e-mail. On top of that, if you have multiple catch blocks in a single process or multiple processes spec'd to throw similar notifications, you will have to add a lot of redundant code. You can definitely externalize the notification to a different process that handles all e-mails, but even that does not take out having multiple invokes on the faulted process.
    Having a fault handler Java class to handle global faults allows you to externalize and standardize exception management and also dramatically minimizes BPEL code. In your Java class you also get the API's to access a lot more information then you will in BPEL allowing you to provide detailed messages. This has been my choice to account for any error that should not happen on a regular basis (binding and remote).
    The only drawback of the Java class is the development piece which can take forever since you have to restart the server after every little change. There is however a way to write a client java class for development on JDeveloper which directly connects to the weblogic-soa dehydration store to look up an instance with a fault and retrieve the fault message. You can then use that message to do your testing/development before finalizing it and moving it to the server.
    Depends on what you decide, let us know if you run into any more constraints and we can definitely try to help you.
    Thanks and good luck!

  • Problem with email notifications?

    I don't seem to be getting the email notifications after about 11 am EST today.
    I've not changed my profile, or my email address (a dot-mac address), and am receiving other mail in that account.
    There are at least 3 threads in the Time Machine forum, and one in Leopard/Installation and setup, that have had responses since then, but I've not seen the emails.
    Is it just me?

    I finally got one (8:40 pm EDT), so I guess it's working again. Never did get the missing ones . . .

  • AQ with Email Notification

    I'm new to AQ and trying to understand the concepts. I have been installing and trying the sample codes provided by Oracle. There is a basic question regarding Email Notifications in AQ that is still baffling me: If I enqueue an email message and add a subscriber for that message, when does the email message get sent to the designated recipient? Do I have to create a DBMS_JOB to constantly dequeue messages? I'm not clear about the message dequeueing part. I have installed the sample code at http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/aq/files/bz_demos.zip
    I have run the code successfully but have not been able to receive any emails. Any help/clarification?
    Thanks.

    The code I'm referring to specifically is below. Is this code alone enough for the email address to receive emails? Using my own email address and mailhost properties, I have not received any emails. Or is there something else I need to do?
