I have just bought a Pro. My mum bought me the Pages, Numbers and Keynote apps and gifted them to me. I downloaded them all through the email that was sent to me. I cant find them on my Pro, but can see them in my itunes? What am i doing wrong? This is my first Mac computer but i do have an ipad and iphone. Im still finding my way round!

Check to see if the gifted apps are listed in Launchpad. Also, check "Purchases" in the App Store by clicking on the App Store icon on your Dock. Check inside your Applications folder.

When I try to redeem an app download code, it tells me to confirm that I am 17 and that it'll download immediately but it doesn't.

When I try to redeem an app download code, it tells me to confirm that I am 17+ and that it'll download immediately but it doesn't.
What I mean is, as soon as I put in the code and click redeem, it comes up with the message saying to confirm that I am 17 or over and that it'll start downloading immediately, but when I press OK to confirm that I am, it takes me back into the text box for the code.
Does anyone know why this is happening?

Define "not working".
Do you have an iTunes Store account?
Have you redeemed your iTunes Gift Card in the AppStore?
Have you clicked the Install button alongside the app you want to buy?

Gifting apps

So I bought a iTunes gift card to gets apps and what not for my iPhone. I wanted to gift an app to my father for his new iPod. The app I want to gift is a free app, but when you finish the levels, you have the option to buy.
When I go to the app on the iTunes store on my iMac, the drop down menu (Download▼) its only says: Tell a Friend, Copy Link, Share on Twitter and Share on Facebook. No option to buy or gift app.
I simply want to buy it outright as a gift.
Anyone have any ideas?

Looks like you cannot gift free apps. Just use the Tell a friend link.
Also, you cannot use a gift card balance to send gifts to someone else.

Gifted apps missing after updating

Months ago, I asked my friend to help me purchasing Whatsapp via the appstore as a gifted app to me.
I've enjoyed using it for a few months.
However, few days ago I updated my phone to ios 6.1.3 and Whatsapp was missing
Is it my iphone didn't recognise Whatsapp as my purchase and deleted it or I should contact support for help?

Apps can be re-downloaded for free: App Store>Updates>Purchased>Not on this Phone...just re-download them.

Your friend should receive an email with a redeem code, they can then launch the App store app, select featured, scroll all the way down, select "Redeem", copy & paste the code, enter their password & the app should start downloading.

You cannot Gift Apps you have Purchased.
Anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

I was gifted an app recently and tried to install it, however the Internet where I staying was poor and I had no 3G service, so the app failed to download.
I got home and tried to install it again but now my redeem code has been used and the app store is saying I need to pay for the app.

Gifted App Never Arrived

For Christmas my girlfriend gifted an app to my account.
This is an old Mobile Me account wich has expired.
I have read that the link to the app is sent by email.
But this email adress has expired! How am I now to download the gifted app?

Ask the person to check their Spam folder. I gifted apps and for some reason all redemption emails ended up in the recipients Spam folders.
Surely not a plot to encourage "re-gifting" of the same app multiple times?!! Heaven forbid!

If you have a credit card on file on top of your gift card then it is asking you to confirm the security code for the card, which for a Visa or MasterCard is 3 digits located on the back, or AMEX has 4 digits on the front. This happens just to ensure that you are the account holder, and would happen from time to time whether it was a free or paid app, even if you have a credit through your gift card. This doesn't mean that your credit card will be charged.

I purchased and in-app download and have a receipt but it is still not showing, so where is it?

I purchased an in-app download for Little generals and have a receipt, but it is still not showing up. Ive tried all the usual sign in then back out...shutting on and off but none of this works. The file just seems that it does not exist even though they have already charged my credit card. So, WHAT GIVES???
PS: And the people on the other end of the phone line seem to be completly clueless about their own products..

If you don't have the Firefox button, you're using the classic view. To restore the new view of Firefox (Changed in Version 4):
* View > Toolbars > Menubar [Uncheck]
In Firefox 6 you can use this to clear your history/other offline content:
Click on the Firefox button on top left part of your browser:
* History > Clear Recent History
There you can select what you want to clear.
If you want to see the menu bar you can press alt on your keyboard so you can see file/view/...
Also for activating it to always be there follow this (Classic view of Firefox):
* Firefox > Options > Menu Bar
