Gigaworks T20 Series II - left channel quiet?

I've just got a brand new set of Gigaworks T20 Series II speakers and I'm pretty pleased wit them, however, it seems that the volume level is slightly quieter on the left channel.
Sitting perfectly between the two speakers with no obstruction the audio appears pretty even with music, but when I start playing any games or listening to system generated sounds, it appears that the speakers are out of balance and the right channel is louder than the left.
By tweaking the sound balance it seems I can get it balanced, but I have increase the left channel by a full 25% to get it to sound balanced.
Is there something wrong with one of my speakers?
It sounds perfectly clear, but unless I pump that left channel by 25% the sound field is definitely weighted to the right.

Hi Spaced0g,
Could you double check and make sure that the audio connection to the left speaker is secure?

  • GigaWorks T20 Series II connection to a TV?

I currently have a Creative GigaWorks T20 Series II 2.0 Multimedia Speaker System with BasXPort Technology on hold at Amazon pending this clarification. Per the associated Amazon/Creative blurb the following cabling ships with the speakers: ships with speakers: stereo-to-stereo audio cable, and a dual RCA-to-stereo audio TV adapter. Stipulation--I am not 'electronics' knowledgeable.
I have 2 HD TV's, one an LED and the other an LCD--both purchased within the past 2 years. I currently have low end Logitech speakers connected to both TV's via the TV's headphone output jack. The speaker sound is marginal. Your speaker referenced above is third party rated 4 of 5 stars. I plan on purchasing one set and if they perform as advertised I'll purchase a second set for the other TV.
However, I'm utterly confused about the cabling that Creative ships with the speakers. 1. Will the speakers work properly connecting to a TV? 2. If the cables you ship will work with the TV will the sound be as good or better than connecting through the TV's headphone jack as I've been doing? 3. For maximum speaker ability what type of cabling is best (assuming that that is not what you ship with the speakers)?

    Hi Mark,
You can connect the speakers to your TV's headphone jack with the stereo-to-stereo audio cable which is a 3.5mm cable.
The dual RCA-to-stereo audio TV adapter is optional for TV's without the headphone jack. But your TV should have an RCA audio output as well. My LCD TV has both.
Maybe the quickstart guide of the Gigaworks T20 Series II will give you more information.

  • Gigaworks T40 series II left speaker less pow

    Hi,
I just purchased a Creative Gigaworks T40 series II and i wonder if it's normal that there's a difference between the output volume of the left and right speaker? The right speaker gives quite more volume, is there a way to fix this or is this just normal?
    Thanks in advance!

I cant think of any other device running. When I untick the Enable Dolby Digital Live I can get stereo sound again. The DDL is authenticated. The cable is working. The amp is fine. I neeeeed help....
Unfortunately I don't have a sample card to test personally and don't know anyone with an Audigy 5/RX.
    Anyway, I have a suggestion.
Run EndPtUtl.exe found in the Audio Console installation folder.
If the issue still persists, try to use the Digital Output (Coaxial/Optical) of another device, provided that you have any on your computer.
EndPtUtl.exe enables the use of any device for outputting encoded audio.

  • Gigaworks T20: Help on Decision for Refund (2nd time replacement)

Hi everyone, I bought a pair of Gigaworks T20 a while back. The first pair was found defective - even at mid volume, both cabinets sounded like there was something vibrating inside whenever there's deep bass in the tracks, much more noticeable when the bass is playing solo - this happened on the 4th day of use. I have never set my pair on full volume until I needed to to verify the vibration. The shop replaced it with a new set. New set seemed to work fine for the first 3 days, but today (coincidentally on the 4th day again) - the vibration came back. So I thought maybe it really cannot handle the bass and was ready to just go along with it but when I checked both speakers, the vibration was much prominent in the right speaker. The left speaker was handling the bass better - so there must be something wrong with the build itself, right? Or should I just shrug it off? Should I get another replacement or just get a refund? If I was to get a refund, should I switch to a Klipsch Promedia 2.0 or a Bose Companion 2 Series 2 set? Which manufacturer is known for durability? I'm starting to get frustrated with this model. $100 doesn't come easily to me for a pair of speakers. But I wanted to invest on good sound so I want to make sure I get the best bang for the buck. Please help. Your recommendations will help a lot. Thanks!

  • Adobe Audition 3.0 only records in left channel

Greetings!  I've got a Blue Yeti Pro mic hooked into an ART Tube MP Project Series USB pre-amp/interface (using XLR connection from mic - USB to computer).  When I record voice in Audition 3.0 it only records on the left channel for some reason.  I thought it might be the mic or preamp, so I downloaded Audacity to double-check with another program.  With Audacity I got a perfect 2-channel mono recording.  Any help on why Audition 3.0 is only recording on left channel would be appreciated.  I'm stumped.  Thanks!  Cheers!  mrc

As you are only using one mic then, as you say, you should be able to record it in mono. Audition defaults to stereo so if you want to record a mono source you have to make sure that you have the mono input for your USB interface selected as source, not the default stereo one. Usually Audition list the stereo sources first in the hardware set up panel, so you need to scroll down the list of inputs to find the mono ones. Stereo ones are called something like Art 1 &2 S etc. and the mono ones Art 1 M and Art 2 M.
Normally when recording a mono source it needs to be saved as a mono file using only one track, not as Audacity does which records a mono source onto two tracks and saving a stereo file which takes twice as much storage space.

  • Gigaworks T20 power cut off

I bought a pair of Gigaworks T20 speakers two weeks ago and have been delighted with them up until last night. I was playing a computer game, when the speakers emitted a 'phut' sound as if they'd been turned off. Looking at the speakers I noticed the blue power on LED was off even though the volume control was about half way round. The connecting wires were all secure, and the PSU secure in the surge protected supply. The supply was very hot however. If I removed the power supply and left it for a couple of minutes then plugged it back in I got the power back only for the speakers to die again 20 mins later.
Has anyone else had this problem?

    Hi,
    Your speaker might be faulty.
Try to get in touch with Support to have it sorted out.
    Best of luck.

  • Left channel not working--it's a logic problem, but I can't debut it! HELP!!!

I'm using a SB Audigy SE card on my XP machine. In the past, I've made good music files from CDs and records (remember those?), but I have not used the thing in about 18 months, and now I'm having a weird problem.
I get output only on the LEFT channel. I'm sure it's not a problem with the input source, because I've used a cassette player and a turntable, and with both, I get output only on the left channel. This happens even when I reverse the phono cables from either device. That tells me the problem is not in the cabling leading from my device to the SB card.
I checked the speakers using the Audigy Speaker Settings application, and it shows that both speakers are working properly: when I click on CHANNEL, I get the words "left channel" and then "right channel" successively on the proper speakers. Same when I click NOISE.
This shows me that the problem is not on the (physical) output side: if it were, I would not get the words "left channel" on that channel, and then the words "right channel" on the right channel. As well, I can play videos (e.g. Youtube) and get sound on both channels.
My guess is that somehow there is some setting somewhere in Audigy that is saying "process only output to the left channel." But I cannot find any setting that might be doing that.
Anyone got any ideas???? I'm stumped.

  • My MacBook Air headphone jack only left channel works

Builtin speakers are working fine on my MBA 2012, but when I plug any kind of headphone into the jack, only left channel works. If I tune output balance to right, then sound nothing.
I found there are only four metal contacts in the jack, two on each side, then one for ground, the other one for left channel, none for right channel,  what about yours?

At last, found it isn't a problem, actually any 3.5mm headphone of standard can work, just plug into the jack fully ( only one mm left ) .  enjoy ~~

  • 30 GB iPod Classic, Left channel is dead

The left channel of my 30 GB iPod Classic has fizzled. It appears to be a hardware issue. At rare moments -- if I jiggle the wire connecting the iPod to my car stereo -- it may come alive again for a song or two. But most of the time, it's out.
Has anyone had this problem? Can it be fixed? Or does the repair cost so much that it's cheaper to buy a new one? My Apple Care Protection Plan does not cover the iPod, only my iMac Core Duo.

do a reset.. PUSH AND HOLD the middle button and the menu button AT THE SAME TIME for 10 seconds.. this may take a few trys and it works best if hooked to power..

  • Left Channel Audio - Losing It

    Hey everyone -
I just finished a video for my office in iMovie HD - when I was producing the piece through outboard speaker the audio was fine (left channel only) now that I'm checking through my internal speakers (iMac) I am losing the left channel all together.
The video was recorded on a Canon XH A1 with a mic in the left XLR input only, how can I export to Quicktime without losing that left channel - it is there but very faint.
I do have Logic Studio - would that help?
    Thanks to all!

  • Left channel audio malfunction

My left audio channel in my headphone jack cut out yesterday, I'm plugged into speakers and I get nothing but a high pitched whine out of the left channel. It seems to make different noises based on what the computer's doing internally too (drive spinning, even searching in spotlight).
I've plugged in and out multiple times, I've restarted a few times, I tried opening garageband (heard that was a fix once..), I messed around with the sound preferences and the audio and midi setup.
I'm pretty stumped and this sound is very annoying, any ideas are appreciated.

  • Muvo TX FM - suddenly no left channel ? Pls he

I have been using the same earphone (bought seperately) with no problem for about a year and suddenly the left channel has no sound. If I test it with the "Creative PDE Experience Demo.wma", it will only have the lady say "right channel" but no "left channel" is heard. What happen?
If I use back the earphone provided by the package, both end sounds fine. So I though could be earphone problem, but I test it with my another device, it sounds ok. I have even reset the player and upgrade to latest firmware, but still the same.
Can someone please help me please. Thanks.

I have the same problem with my Muvo TX 52MB with the latest firmware (.4.02) running on a Powerbook G4 with OSX 0.4.3 and MuVoHelper does not seem to help either!
The problem as I see it: When ejecting, the hidden ._-files are not removed (as MuVoHelper proclaims) and even worse: all the music I delete from the player on my Mac G4 Powerbook does?nt disappear! Instead the MuVo creates a new folder called \. Trashes\50 in which all the deleted files are placed including their ._-alter egos. This of course is only viewable through Windows on a PC. So removing files from the MuVo on a Mac is literally impossible and needless to say it just fills up in no time. Actually you can have a totally empty player with no music to play and still have it filled to the 500MB limit with deleted, non-accessible files.
I should perhaps point out that MuVoHelper is installed correctly: the MuVo-sign at the top of the screen works with the MuVo mounted (and iTunes launches) and goes dim upon ejecting.
If you have any immediate solutions to my problems, please reply asap or I will look forward to an update on the MuVoHelper as I have forwarded a mail with my troubles to them as well.
