GIS and Dreamweaver

Hello,
I have an Enterprise Server Level License for ESRI's ArcGIS
and ArcGIS Server. There is complete support within Visual Studio -
namely, an SDK compelete with ESRI ArcGIS specific tools and
controls has been installed and is available within Visual Studio.
Is there any way to import or register the ESRI SDK and utilities
for use within Adobe Dreamweaver?

Probably not - IIRC, the ESRI products are all very Visual
Basic and now
very .NET-centric. You're pretty much going to have to use
the Visual Studio
tools for Arc development.

Windows XP SP3 and Dreamweaver 8.0.2
I am recently receiving this error message whenever I open a file -
"The following translators were not loaded due to errors:
ColdFusion.htm: has configuration information that is invalid.
JSP.htm: has configuration information that is invalid."
    Really big problem;
I have lost ALL my disc so I can not do a clean install of anything!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Try clearing your program cache...

If that doesn't help, try restoring the preferences...

If you still have the activation number, you can try reinstalling a clean version available here (make sure you are logged into Adobe):

  • Can't download photoshop and dreamweaver in cloud. Says Installed, but I don't have it

So a while ago I was using the trial version of photoshop and dreamweaver. I decided to pay for cloud to access these programs but I uninstalled the programs first. Now when I click the download I can't install either one because it says installed next to the image.
I had asked someone on the website through the chat if I would have this exact problem and they told me so long as I purchased the product i would not have the issue. I didn't want to purchase if I was going to have the problem, but I'm having it
I needed this program tonight so I'm considering just cancelling

    Hi JessyaDoucett,
I would first double-check that you actually uninstalled them, usually the Adobe Application Manager checks the system to see what is currently installed, if Photoshop and Dreamweaver didn't actually get uninstalled that would explain what you are seeing.
Don't uninstall, rather check if these products are listed here
    on Mac OS
    1. Double-click your hard drive.
    2. Go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
    on Windows
    1. Click Start > Control Panel.
    2. Click Programs and Features.
If they didn't actually get uninstalled you should be able to convert the existing installations to be included as part of your Creative Cloud Membership using this workflow
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/convert-cs6-licensed-under-ccm.html
If they were uninstalled but something went wrong you might need to install again from the trial or use the Adobe Cleaner tool as next steps
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
You can launch Adobe Application Manager from
Applications Folder on Mac or the Start Menu on Windows to reinstall when you're ready

I am retired.  In my active years, I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Standard and Dreamweaver CS5 for my Windows environment.  I recently spent a fortune to migrate to  Apple.  I now (and a bite late) realize that my licenses are not recognized by Adobe. I am desperate. I cannot afford the expense of buying or paying access to the software and, still,  I need the tools for all those little things I do for enjoyment. What can be done?

The licenses are operating system specific, so one option would be to retain use of the Windows machine you had before the Mac.
If you want to try to use the older stuff on your new Mac you can try installing Windows emulation software such as Bootcamp.

in dreamweaver mx 2004 and dreamweaver cs4, how I configure, when download/upload do not ask me to include DEPENDED FILES but act without including ?

Open the Preferences panel (Edit menu on Windows, Dreamweaver menu on a Mac), and select the Site category. There are two checkboxes there for dependent files. Make sure both are selected. The Dreamweaver default is NOT to upload/download dependent files. You need to click Yes, if you want the dependent files to be included.

  • Illustrator and Dreamweaver CC

    Good Night
I have the programs of the creative cloud CC, only when I go to open Illustrator and Dreamweaver says: Adobe Illustrator stopped working. Enable the Verdana font and restart Illustrator or Dreamweaver. When I return activate the verdana font programs open normally, but if you turn on the computer it returns the message.
    Can anyone help me please?

Use the builtin FontBook to activate the required fonts. As Monica says, make sure that they are the TTF versions.

  • Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Dreamweaver 8

Are Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Dreamweaver 8 one of the same, or
    are they 2 different products?

    DW8 is a later release than DMX2004 (DW7).

  • Can I run Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign and Dreamweaver on Mac?

Can I install Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign and Dreamweaver on Mac?

Sure. If you have/ buy the Mac versions....
    Mylenium

  • I know this sounds ridiculous, but do you have to have Fireworks and Dreamweaver to create a website?

Many years ago, I had a copy of fireworks and dreamweaver.  It seemed like I only worked with fireworks and created websites, links etc.  Do you have to have both and somehow they work in tandem?

My suggestion would be to forget about Fireworks, because the application's development was stopped in May 2013, and no updates are coming its way either. It is dead software, unfortunately. It is already experiencing compatibility problems on the latest Mac OS, for example, and it is only going to get worse.
To create a simple website, you have two choices: you either learn basic html and css code (as Mylenium suggested), or you use a visual editor.
I have a feeling you veer towards the visual editor solution, so here are some options:
    - http://www.kompozer.net/
    - Web Design Software by Xara: Xara Web Designer
    - Adobe Muse
... or install WordPress through your host (most web hosts offer a one-click install option), choose a nice template from the tens of thousands available online, and start adding content.

  • Best option if I want Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Dreamweaver?

    Hello all,
I am a current university student looking into purchasing the Creative Cloud with my student discount. I'll be doing the month-to-month payment since I can cancel that at any time, and at first I was looking at the Photography Bundle (Photoshop, Lightroom). However I have been using InDesign and Dreamweaver for fun, and am looking into trying out Illustrator. Would you suggest I sign up for the entire Creative Cloud instead of the Photography Bundle? Or should I get the bundle and just buy the other apps individually (month-to-month)? I am not a graphic design student so I don't plan on using the three apps everyday (I will primarily be using Photoshop and Lightroom).
Thank you (in advance) for your advice.

If your subscription allows you to dtop it at any time then go with the whole package until you don't need it.  If your course of study is graphic design then chances are you will be needing more than just Photoshop/Lightroom (photo-based appplications) to get thru it all.

  • Unable to Uninstall Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver CS4

it's been a couple of days since i tried out Photoshop CS4 and Dreamweaver CS4 to see how they compare to the CS3 versions, it worked fine and all till suddenly it stopped working, so i been trying to uninstall/reinstall to get it working under the free trial limit i still have left (27 days as of this writing) it still will not work.
Sometimes i would install Photoshop/Dreamweaver and say an error occurred and some components were unable to install and would be unable to load the file even after doing what the instructions say...
Same goes for when i try to uninstall both Photoshop/Dreamweaver, i would try to uninstall and would still remain in my program files...
I am completely stumped on what to do, i can't even re-install photoshop/dreamweaver cs3 as well due to this...
I am running on Vista 32bit SP1 Pack on HP Pavilion, i want to completely get rid of CS4 versions and go back to my reliable CS3 again, any help please would be greatly appreciated.
    Kantori

John... if you read what I said you would of caught that i did do it:
"did what was suggested, worked like a charm for the CS3 and Dreamweaver CS4 but although it did work on Photoshop CS4. it did something i was dumbfounded to see, it did something odd in which it took out the Uninstall/Change tab option for removing programs (I was viewing it to see if it uninstalled completely) also it brought out a bunch of programs that weren't in that section before and was unable to uninstall/remove them.
So i had to do a system restore point to go back and try again. After doing it two more times (ya two!) still doesn't work, i am 7 hours into trying to resolve this... sigh. "
At that time i said i had done it 2 times, 3 in total, i am on try #6 all with the same results with the exact after effects once i restart my PC.
Here's what it does to tell what goes on:
    1) after installing microsoft's cleaner then opening up the cs4 cleaner under admin, it does its thing, it asks me if i wish to remove Flash Player 10 after choosing remove Photoshop CS4, now here i done both remove Flash Player and not remove it with the same results, losing the uninstall/change option on the control panel, which frustrates me.
    2) After seeing that i try to install Photoshop CS4 again, once its done, i open it up, try to go to the trial option where as i stated previously says there's an error and can't open the trial page which would open up Photoshop completely but since it can't i cannot go beyond that window.
    3) So ya... i try ONCE again to do it all over after restarting and SAMETHING! no uninstall/change option appearing and unable to open up Photoshop CS4 in which i resort to doing a system restore again and trying once more.
NOW, one would think that after the first 3 times it should be working properly, i mean I thought it would after removing both Photoshop CS3 and Dreamweaver CS4 it's bound to do the same for Photoshop CS4, but it doesn't completely create a "FREASH" install. It's like it still remembers what messed up functions it still had and what's up with it removing the uninstall/change option? that just bogles my mind.
i tried many things, re-downloading the trial from adobe, etc i never would of thought just one program could cost me so much wasted time just to get it working and it's a free trial nonetheless so excuse me John Joslin if your remark kind of bugs me, I need some assistance/advice on trying to correct this problem, not a
    "It should have done!
Run it a few times. "
comment that's already common knowledge for me in what I have already been doing long before your post.

  • When are InDesign and Dreamweaver going to be able to work together?

So here we are at CS6, and you STILL can not copy text out of InDesign, paste it into Dreamweaver, and have basic formatting carry over. I can copy text from InDesign and paste it into Microsoft Word, and the formatting gets retained. I can copy text out of Word and paste it into Dreamweaver, and the formatting gets retained. How many years are we going to wait for this basic productivity feature to exist between InDesign and Dreamweaver??

If you export to HTML from InDesign you don't get text with basic formatting tags on it. Try exporting a sentence of text with a word bolded in the middle of it, and this is what you get:
    <p class="x01-text"><span class="char-style-override-1">this is some </span><span class="char-style-override-2">text </span><span class="char-style-override-1">here</span></p>
That's completely useless. It should look like this:
    <p>this is some <b>text</b> here</p>
Plus, all you have to do in Dreamweaver is select "Text with structure and basic formatting" in the Copy/Paste preferences and you don't get all the junk when copying from Word. You get HTML that looks exactly what I enter above: just basic formatting.
PLUS, I don't want to have to create a temporary file for each bit of text I want to copy out of InDesign, then open that file in Dreamweaver and copy the text from there. I want to copy once, and paste once.

  • Subversion and Dreamweaver CS5

my team and i are very confused with understanding how this architecture and integration works. from reading various websites it seems we need to setup subversion and create a repository. my immediate question is where do we install and create the repository? on all our local machines or on the DEV server that hosts our website running on Apache 2.2?
Also... today we all work in Dreamweaver CS5. each one of us created a site in Dreamweaver on all our local machines pointing to a mapped network directory we each setup on all our machines... and the mapped network drive (lets say Z:\) is our DEV machine with all our coldfusion files that we edit through DreamWeaver remotely.
i'm trying to understand the architecture we need to setup and if we need to make changes to the way we currently have our sites defined. there is a good link on Adobe TV showing how to compare and check in/out files with subversion and what the icons mean here http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-dreamweaver-cs5/working-with-subversion-and-dreamweaver/
thats great but i see the presenter is working off a local C:\ drive. where does our mapped network Z:\ drive as mentioned above come into play?

How do you connect to SVN? could you show a better description on that, not just your icons? I'm getting an error when trying to commit files. This video didn't really go over anything to help anyone out...

  • Can't copy and paste between Photoshop and Dreamweaver

The recommended way to import assets from a Photoshop PSD files since Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 is to use the Extract panel.
In older versions of Photoshop and Dreamweaver (CS3 and above), you can copy a selection or layer from a PSD in Photoshop directly into Dreamweaver (you need both Photoshop and Dreamweaver installed on the same computer). This launches the Image Preview dialog box for you to optimize and save an image ready for the Web.
If you can't copy from Photoshop into Dreamweaver, make sure that the Export Clipboard check box is selected in the Photoshop General Preferences panel.
Many thanks to Bob Levine for providing this useful tip.

It sounds like you need to trash your prefs. See Replace Your Preferences
And it shouldn't throw that message, but also check to be sure that Paste Remembers Layers isn't checked in the Layers panel flyout menu or you'll never get anything to paste from one layer to another.
