i have a MI 7.0 Client for Laptop with MAM 3.0 and a GIS application. How can i forward the IDs of selected funclocs in a Gis Map to the MAM application?

The MI Client is started by the MobileEngine.exe, is there a way to give a url to the MobileEngine.exe while the MI-Client is running and the MI automatic opens the url?

There are some interface options for GIS, not sure about SCADA.

Have you checked the purchase history on your account (Store > View My Account on yoru computer's iTunes), and have you (or anyone who access to your devices) made in-app purchases in apps and/or have you taken out any subscriptions in apps ? GIS and W manager 6.1, Does someone made it to work on android?

Hi i'm trying to integrate work manager 6.1 with GIS (ESri ArcGis) and it does not work, everything leads to errors and as stated by SAP it is supposed to work "out of the box".
I'm really frustrated now, I was able to generate the branded client with GIS libraries to the point that the map is being displayed, but no matter what option is selected, the application gets closed with an exception. (In any kind of android devices, its the same).

The steps to generate the branded client are the following:
1) Download the latest agentry client solution (7.90 by now).
2) Download ArcGis runtime SDK
3) Add the mobile apps librarys
4) run the sh brand.sh and the apk get generated
5) Download and run the application on the device, connect to agentry server and walla!.
The locations tab is there, and the map gets displayed on the screen, but does not work a bit of it. Anything you touch leads to an agentry Crash.
Does anyone were able to run the ArcGis out of the box integration, on android devices?

Yes it does work. It has been a while since I have built a client but one thing I recall is that the brand.sh script for branding did not properly pickup the Esri libraries and Open UI projects. I always created the .apk from within Eclipse after renaming the package.
To set the Application package so your version can co-exist with the generic client on the device
Select AgentryAndroidClientSolution project
Right click -> Android Tools -> Rename Application Package
Set the package name to whatever you desire
Finish
Yes to updating launch configurations
Then to build the .apk I simply right click on the AgentryAndroidClientSolution project and Export to the .apk through the wizard.
I believe there will also be another step if you are going to deploy on Andorid L (5.x) due to changes in the permission model but I am currently working through that as time permits myself so I can't give specifics yet.
Give that a try! I do know they are looking at modifying the Open UI projects to work with the brand.sh script for a future release.

SAP - SYCLO and MAM(2.5/ 3.0) Direction....?

All,
We have a couple of core business process(Coal yard operator rounds, Fueling applications) running very successfuly using MAM2.5 and MI 7.0.
Quite recently, SAP entered into an agreement with Syclo to offer field service management on mobile devices , which will include functionality for work order execution, operator rounds, time entry and material management. Does anyone have more info and details into this and how this impacts the roadmap of MAM and whether migration of MAM 2.5 /MAM3.0 would be a option?
Any additional insights would greatly be appreciated.

With more and more Mobile devices flooding the market and each device coming with its own OS and support for different technologies, SAP's mobile strategy is now focused more providing its customers and field users with native and richer UI experience, on demand data (Push from server), better device management & administration and so on. Starting NetWeaver Mobile 7.1, SAP has entered into tie ups with different partners like RIM, Sybase, Syclo etc to provide customers the advantage of two worlds - SAPs know how of core business processes and partners know how of instant push, device management and so on.
With regard to MAM, you would be aware that currently none of the versions of MAM is supported on the latest Mobile 7.1 platform and these versions MAM 2.5/3.0 work perfectly only on MI 2.5 and 7.0. All versions of SAP standard applications will continue to be supported only on MI 2.5 and 7.0 and you can continue to use/upgrade on this platform. But the same cannot be said with Mobile 7.1. The Syclo partnership could be the future of MAM / MAU on the newer platform with partner based co-innovation.

Spares issue for big industry and MAM help?

While lookinng the present projects we have one ware house , all spares are stored at that location. Each maintenance jobs the required spares needs to be received from stores.
The problem is many places like power plant, utility area is fare from stores. So the users wrongly getting the spares thro MB21. So totally they are bypassing maint system .
Management is not interested to install the sub stores due to some reasons.
So in your experience what logic u did for very big plants, continious industry(textlies, utilit,steel plant, cement, power plant. paper)
Another options is MAM module how to help the taking the spares. Dont provide the study document link add your experience. MAM we can enter the sap with any mobile systems. But i need to take the consumables from main stores

You should not post a consumption in SAP when all you are doing is moving from the main warehouse and bringing the spares to the maintenance area. Imagine if the spares are expensive are being brought from the warehouse and only being kept near the maintenance area. Probably they will be actually used only next month or perhaps even next quarter. But your books will unnecessarily show an expense in the current month. This way you are wasting the superb features of SAP.
My suggestion is create storage locations for the areas in which you might stock spares. And consume from those storage locations when u need. When you need to bring spares from the main warehouse to this maintenance area probably a transfer posting will suffice.
I don't see MAM being of any use to solve this problem.
P.S. I am giving you the solution and not the workaround. So depending on how much time you have you will have to outweigh one option.

Info about Time, GIS and other usable XML(DB) Services

Based on Re: how to retrive World Server time in Sql here some thoughts about "TimeService the XMLDB Way".
This post for all who are in need of such a solution. If I have time I will also post the proper XMLTABLE alternative.
Probably there are better ways - Does anyone know better / useful web services? (that can be used with or called from XMLDB).
Cool XMLDB examples that can be used by others are appreciated.

Integrating SmallWorld(Gis) and SAP

We are trying to integrate SAP with SmallWorld. Whenever we are sending the request1 to XI server from SOAPUI, then it shows LOGON ERROR because we are not supplying username and password explicitly.

The standard way for SOAP authentication is the HTTP User Name and Password only. If you dont want rhis you can probably go for digital certificates.

namely, an SDK compelete with ESRI ArcGIS specific tools and
controls has been installed and is available within Visual Studio.
Is there any way to import or register the ESRI SDK and utilities
for use within Adobe Dreamweaver?

Probably not - IIRC, the ESRI products are all very Visual
Basic and now
very .NET-centric. You're pretty much going to have to use
the Visual Studio
tools for Arc development.

MAM RFC Error with Order and Notification SyncBo's

Hi everyone, can you please advise on a problem I'm having when downloading 2-WAY SYNCBO MAM objects.
I am able to download all syncbo's to my client with my username. This includes Orders and Notifications.
But.....whenever I use a different username only some of the SyncBO's come over. I am missing MAM25_001 and MAM25_010 data. Here is what I have done so far:
- Ensured username had exactly the same SAP security profile as I do, including the MI authorization objects.
- Ensured username was configured the same in the IMG.
- Re-generated and re-replicated my SyncBo's.
- Checked table MEREP_10100. It showed no Order or Notification data.
It does not make sense why everything works for me, but not for other usernames on my network.
Here is the RFC error I get from the Middleware using MEREP_MON:
RFC system Error:
Z_MEREP_GEN_S01_____MAM25_010 has finished for run number 0000019624 and runtime counter 17.

Could you please reply the SP levels of the MI Client, MI server and MAM application?
Also is your client device a PDA?
You could try out few things ( not sure whether they will help)
1. Sync several times (may 6 times) for the other users.
2. Remove the MAM application for the one of the other usernames from the webconsole(which is not able get the data) and reassign it.
3. Try the username on some other device.

Does the unit need a especially features or a hardware outfits to run this applications?
The Tecra A5 is a very nice notebook. You can upgrade the memory to max 2048MB.
It was also delivered with different graphic cards and different CPUs.

MAM application is not working for some users

Hi All,
Tha MAM application is not working for some users.Different users have different workcenters other than that I dont see any other change. When I run MAM30_090_GETLIST in the backend I can see the no of customized users.But I cant see same no of users in the MEREP_207 table for the Syncbo MAM30_090 and strcture id TOP in the middleware. There is a data when I checked under worklist monitor for that user. But neither the MAM application nor MAM data is downloading to that device.
If I use different user on the same device I can see the MAM application and MAM data.
What could be the wrong in this case. Any help would be highly appreciated.
Mobile Client:MI 70 SP 15 Patch 0 Build 200802280918
Middleware:SAP NetWeaver 2004s with Patch leve 15
Backend:SAP ECC 6.0

Hi,
from your description the source of your issue is quite obvious: some of the MAM users configured in spro are not configured properly.
For T01 SyncBos the number of TOP records in merep_207 MUST be the same as number of headers returned by an appropriate getList FM in the backend.
You need to solve this before you can go any further.
Reason why a record is not recorded in MEREP_207 - getdetail failed for whatever reason. So execute MAM30_ML_getdetail for each of the users that is not replicated in the middleware and check if there are errors in RETURN table. If there is no error - one of the common reason for replication fail is when there are records in item tables that have duplicate primary keys.
