Give Control option grayed out (mid migration)

I just set up a new Lync 2013 Server, and have moved all users over to it. Obviously I missed something. Desktop sharing works, but the "Give Control" option is grayed out.
I think I found a setting but... well here, take a look...

Did the issue happen only for one user or for multiple users?
From your description, the issued Lync users are moved from Lync Server 2010 pool to Lync Server 2013 pool. Please create a new Lync account on Lync Server 2013 pool and make sure the policy for the user set correctly, then have a test.
Please also try to use Lync Web App to have a test to test if the issue caused by Lync client.

Good morning Old Toad.
I did as you suggested:
1) Booted from install CD.
2) Ran Disk Utilities on internal hard drive--no repairs necessary. For good measure, did the same thing on external drive. Also no repairs necessary.
3) Checked software update--no updates found. About this Mac said I was already running 10.4.7. For good measure, I downloaded the latest and installed it. Since it let me run the install, I'm not sure if I installed something new or reinstalled what I already had.
4) I rebooted from CD, ran disk utilities, ran repair disk--no repairs necessary. Repaired permissions and a lot of permissions repaired.
5) Tried to delete the files and the same old thing happened: kernel panic. The specific message:
panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00102A08): jnl: transaction too big (1587712 >= 1572352 bytes, bufsize 8192, tr 0x29f1fb0 bp 0x2801de40)
So there's no change in my status.
I'm trying to delete the files because:
A) They already take .5 Gb.
B) I can't get rid of them ever. If I move the problem files to a different folder, I can only do one successful drag-and-drop backup to the external drive until the "new" thumb segments become unerasable just like the previous versions and crash the system.
C) I can't even "just" drag and drop every file/folder except the thumbs, because that ends up crashing the system as well. So I have to drag and drop every file/folder in the iPhoto hierarchy individually. Which makes me less inclined to backup, which defeats the purpose of a backup.
D) After the iPhoto fiasco I'm just crabby about all the Apple screw-ups I'm experiencing and I want to get them fixed.

Why is the email option grayed out from iphoto sharing

I am running iPhoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. When I select a photo and try to share it the share menu has email and all the social meida options grayed out. Checking accounts in iPhoto my email accounts are there. I tried deleting and reinserting the one I want to use and restarting iPhoto, but it is still grayed out.

You need to update yoru profile - it says OS X 10.6.8
In the iPhoto preferences select an email client (I personally prefer Mail) and if you are using iphoto enter your email information in teh accounts tab (If you use Mail it will use yuro existing sset up)
Same for social media - enter your account information in the accounts tab

IMovie 9.0.4, all export options grayed out. Have I missed a step?

I'm still on OS 10.6 so I can't udate iMovie software. I have a little movie, under 4:00, finished and want to export but all options grayed out. Have I missed a finishing step or is this just an obsolete software/OS problem? Thanks. Chris

OK. So we've established that you're in Photoshop CC on Windows 7 (nothing to do with Acrobat or Acrobat Reader).
What exactly are you trying to do in Photoshop CC? Can you outline in detail what steps you're taking and what's confusing you?

I When I go to edit my page an alert pops up ... an error has occured in the scripe on this page . What does this mean and what is it doing to the program or preventing me from doing ?
I have a lot of options grayed out and not able to use when editing or making new pages? << highlight color, change text color, change size, change fonts. >> resizing images, page properties 5 out of 7 options grayed, etc. ... I checked under Administrators and all there looks okay and I am the only one using the program. I have gone to the Administrator Settings, then styles/fonts/size and all check for my use.
OOnly on two of my main pages are all of the options available to use on either a New or Edit page but none are available on the other tabbed pages of my website. Even if I cut and paste a document the color, size and font changes to what is on the page.

Don't make a text selection, but simply put your text cursor in the text with the new formats. Most likely, you have a mix of character formats selected.

Paste as Background option grayed out

I'm using Captivate1. When I edit a slide, I select Copy
Background, edit it in Paint, copy it from Paint and try to Paste
as Background into Captivate. The Paste as Background option is
grayed out. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes I have to

I started tracking what I was doing before the graying out
occurred. It seems like if I copy and tweak (in Paint) more than 8
or so backgrounds in a row, then the Paste as Background option
grays out. It's like the system is tired of me copy and pasting
back into Captivate. When I shut everything down and reopen it,
then the paste memory clears and the option is available. Now by
all means, this is not a technical explanation for what happens,
but it's just what I'm observing.
And yes, I'm patiently waiting for the powers that be to
approve my upgrade to Cap2.

Sip dialer port export option grayed out in configuration manager ucce 10

Hi,
I am configuring the outbound option for ucce 10, when i configure the sip dialer port (dialer conifguration) in conifiguration manager, i just added 5 ports, i can see this ports showing in dialer process on the PG, but i need to export this ports to Unified communication manager, i could not able to export it because this option grayed out (i did select all, or individual selection both are having export option grayed out)
Any idea?

Exporting port configuration is only allowed for SCCP, in SIP Dialer Deployment its actually not needed and that why its grayed out.

in Sip Dialer you don't need to create any Port For Dialer under CUCM. its only required in SCCP.
Sip Dialer port Directly registers with VG.

Radio option grayed out in preferences?

I do not have the Radio feature in my sidebar, and when I go into Preferences, the Radio option is grayed out and cannot be selected. What do I need to do to activate the Radio? I'm using iTunes 10. Thanks.

It was the same with me. It's strange because I had never even entered the parental control section, but checked anyways and it was blocked!

Airport option grayed out?

I just bought a used Macbook Mac OS X version 10.5.6 I am not able to connect to the internet because the only options it gives me are ethernet and bluetooth. I only have a wireless interenet connection and Airport is grayed out as an interface option in Network Prefrences I even tried to go into Airport uTilities and its says "AirPort Utility was unable to find any Apple wireless devices." I am currently on my own Macbook OS X with a different version and I have no problem connecting to my wireless through the airport. Can anyone help or do I need to take it to the apple store?

You should be able to get to your passwords if you are the admin.

Did you restart your computer afterwards?
Suggest that you cross-post in the AirPort where the AP users hang out if you are having problems.

Why are the NI-DAQmx Base for LabVIEW options grayed out using custom install (with Action:Skip)?

I'm trying to install NI-DAQmx Base 3.7.0 for LabVIEW 2013 (LV is installed). When I try Standard Install, it doesn't install for LabVIEW (only the Common and C and USB tools), but gives a successful installation message.
When I try Custom Install, all of the "...for LabVIEW 20XX" options are unchecked, grayed out and the Action says "Skip".
I'm trying this on a 2011 MacBook Air 11" running OS 10.9. LabVIEW runs fine.

OS 10.9 is not officially supported by NI with the DAQmx Base 3.7. This information is from the description of the driver (http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-base-3.7/4272/en/):
OS Support—NI-DAQmx Base now supports the following versions of Mac OS X:
Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion)
Mac OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion)
So this seems to the be the problem. Either you choose another OS version or wait for a new driver which supports 10.9

Recording options grayed out

Hi,
I have just installed Captivate 3. When attempting to record
in manual, Demonstation Mode is selected by default and I am unable
to select any of the other modes. They are all grayed out. Did I
set something wrong in the preferences? What could be causing this?

Hi asafltops and welcome to our community
If you are recording in Manual mode, you cannot choose a type
of recording. This is because you told Captivate you want to
control when screen captures occur. To enable the options, cancel
the recording dialog so you are at the Captivate Start Page. Then
click Edit > Preferences... > Recording node > Settings
node. Change the drop-down from "Manual Recording" to "Auto
Recording" and click OK.
Now when you attempt to record, the options should be
available to choose.

"Copy Selected Albums" Option Grayed Out for Synchronizing Photos--Help!!

I purchased a 60GB Video iPod a week ago. I cannot get it to sync my photos. When I select "Synchronize photos from iPhoto," the option to "Copy all photos and albums" is selected and the option to "Copy Selected Albums" is grayed out. If I try to sync all the albums, I get an Error -50. I can, however, copy & sync photos by selecting my Pictures folder (either all folders or selected folders). But, that won't give me my photos organized by album in iPhoto.
I rebuilt the iPhoto database and deleted/trashed preferences. No help. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Apple has been no help and I have searched and searched these forums over many days, with no success.

I had this problem after I imported a bunch of photos. I narrowed it down and found that two of my pictures had the word "photo" in the filename, example(photo003.jpg and photo004.jpg). I deleted these files and the "copy selected ablums" was available again.

ST22 (DEBUGGER option grayed out)

Not sure if this is a security question. When I go to St22, search for dumps, click on a specific dump, and then do goto - the debugger option , it is grayed out. Normally object S_DEVELOP controls the debug rights and I have S_DEVLEOP with * . I even tried with SAP_ALL, still that menu item is grayed out. So it should not be a security issue. Is that meant to be grayed out. Why is that present in the menu over there in the ST22 transaction. Not sure what is it that makes it from a grayed out functionality to an active menu item. Obviously it there in the st22 menu for a reason. Beats me. Any help is appreciated. Could not find any useful info via the internet or service market place. Thanks in advance

it's not related to security. This feature is available only right after you get a dump. When you display dump in ST22 then it's not possible to jump into debugger.
