Give me my 4.4! i have had enough with 4.3
ever since 4.3 installed, while I was on a road trip, i have not been able to control the function of the phone's music player from my pioneer head unit avh-p4400bh. this function is the reason i went to verizon, started a contract and bought the note 2. now i have unlock my phone, because i have it password protected for reasons, and then search through my phone quickly at stop lights to find a song or playlist and it is maddening. the only thing the head unit can do now is increase/decrease the volume. I have done every trick that is posted on the internet from clearing the cache, turning off google now, unchecking clicky box ect ect ect. If I dont get 4.4 very very very soon and or when i do get it and I find out that 4.4 is not the saving grace that it is supposed to be and i am stuck with this same problem you can bet, verizon, that I will be cancelling my contract and moving on to a different provider.

You could try creating an iPod version of the films.
Use CTRL and B to display the Menu bar shown above. Alternatively, use the ALT key, followed by the F key, the W key and finally the I (eye) key - that's (menu)/File/Create New Version/Create iPod or iPhone version. -
I have had problems with iTunes lately it says iTunes was not installed correctly and to reinstall. I tried 3x and still will not. Now I get a message it can not start because MSVCR80.dll is missing reinstall to fix??

No, it is not possible. When upgrading the iOS on the phone, the only one you can install is the latest version, which for the iPhone 4 is iOS 7.0.4.

I have had difficulty with yahoo mail since the security update on Dec 23rd - have you? if so do you have a resolution? I can get into yahoo but then cannot open individual emails or folders!!!!

I have had trouble with scrollbars using netbeans 5.5.1
I have had trouble getting a vertical and horizontal scrollbar working in my GUI. I am new to programming but I have books but I find them difficult to follow because they follow the old netbeans GUI models that requires all of the code to be written for example the scrollbar has to be created and then the parameters have to be set. However with the 5.5.1 the scrollbar has already been created and the parameters of the maximum the minimum and the event have already been set.
Therefore when you follow the books they explain the whole process rather than the last part which is all that is needed. I have selected the scrollbar and then pressed the right mouse button to get the menu up where I selected Events and then Adjustments, which then displayed the following script,

I couldn't find the edit button on my original post so I am posting an update here.
I have gone through more apps and have had good luck on all but one more. And it's not that the app doesn't work, I am talking about the Yahoo Weather app, It works fine, but when you swipe between cities the screen lags a bit and it sometimes doesn't move between pages the way it should. On iOS 7.1.2 it was smooth as butter but on iOS 8.0, not so much. I will post a note in the app store to let them know. I really like the Yahoo app better than the new stock app.
I have been going through my games and they all work fine. Angry Birds (Original and Stella), Canabalt, Minecraft, Bejeweled 2, Silly Walks, PopWords, Doodle Jump, Deep Green all seem to work just fine.
Starbucks app works as it should.
I will stop back again next week after I have had the weekend to play with it in detail and post my thoughts again. -
After using migration assistant I have had problems with some apps that were brought down from App store, as well as IntelliJ that just doesnt want to start at all. Does it have anything to do with the UID being changed?

Since updating to iso6.0 I have had problems with my email exchange account syncing correctly - I keeps loosing connection with the server.
Are you losing the connection to iTunes on the iPad or the computer? You are saying that iTunes is updated. Of course iTunes is updated when you update the iOS software. That's a no brainer.
If you mean that iTunes is updated on the computer, that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with downloading and updating apps on the iPad itself so changing the date on the iPad, signing in and out of the stores on the iPad .... Doing any of that on the iPad would have nothing to do with iTunes on your computer.
If .... you have not been able to connect to the iTunes or app stores at all on the iPad - try this ...
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If you can't connect at all - you can also try rebooting your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again. -

for months, absouletly months i have had constant issues with your broadband now.
I am using bt option 2 with the 40gb dl limit, i have fixed all my issues on my end with the internet...problems persists.
I am consistently disconnected, put onto local area connections and given 7kb/s speeds. If i want dial up i would get dial up.
I am not stupid either, dont give a simple response BT i am a technician for IT and networking and run a network as a job, and the issue here is you.
Consistent slow internet speed, i open a web page i disconnect. It took 4 reconnects to confirm my email address for this.
All i get is local only connections too. This is consistently happening and has not stopped for the last few weeks constantly now.
I want this issue resolved, as im sure, BT dont pay for bad employees, i wont pay for bad service regardless of contracts, i think thats fair to say.
Get back to me on this, it is just consistently bad connections and constant disconnections. Also i want a reasonable answer for this terrible service not an excuse.Well with respect to the OP, perhaps he does need forum help, IT tech or not .... (we have benefited a few)
Because the first realisation about line adaptive broadband, is that if he is experiencing consistent disconnections .... for one reason or another, then the line speed will plummet anyway, through default.
Clearly like 99% of all broadband problems on here, there will be a fault either on the line or at the exchange.
There may also be a problem in the home .... but the line speed and performance he has at the moment is most definately because of a fault .... and not a perceived policy.
An IT person "au fait" with broadband would know that ....

I would start with a quiet line test, and work from there .... and then contact a moderator for further help if you need specific tests from BT's end.
And of course, there is loads of stuff to read on the forum, using the search and keywords.
Feel free to post the line stats if you do need help .... we do it all the time.
And incidently, if you require BT moderator help, you need to make the first contact to them, merely placing a thread on here may not get the attention you might require. -
[K8N Neo2 Platinum] BSOD - have had enough of them!
My first K8N Neo2 was a DAO - no current to the PCI slots. Got a new one as replacement, seemed to work fine. "Seemed", indeed.
I've had plenty of sudden resets and BSODs.
I've seen:
STOP 0x000000FC (no error or driver named)
STOP 0x000000EA in ATI2DVAG
STOP 0x00000050, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA in win32k.sys (also saw some 0x00000050 without the PAGE_FAULT error or driver name)
STOP 0x0000008E
Just yesterday I had two BSODs, just when surfing the internet.
System - Athlon 64 3200+ (boxed), Tagan 380W PSU with 22A on the +12V rail, ATi Radeon X800 Pro, Creative Labs Audigy 2ZS, Promise Ultra133TX2, 3x Maxtor 7200rpm HD, 2x GEiL 512mb PC3500 DDR-RAM (running at PC3200), Lite-On DVD+RW and Lite-On CD+RW.
Please note that my videocard, PCI cards and harddrives worked perfectly in my previous system (Soltek SL-75FRN2-L, nForce2 Ultra400 chipset with a Enermax 350W PSU). I've already tried running without the PCI cards.
Voltages very near to specs, according to Corecenter -- 3.33V on the +3.3V rail, 5.05V on the +5V rail and 11.96V on the +12V rail. That's at this specific moment, under high stress (due to encoding a DVD to XVid).
Memtest86+ : 30 passes, no errors.
3DMark 2005: one full benchmark pass, no errors or graphical artifacts.
Seti@Home: can run for days without any problems.
I have noticed reproducable problems: encoding a DVD to XVid with GordianKnot and encoding DVD9 to DVD5 with DVD Rebuilder. Both resulted in me waking up and finding the login screen of Windows XP (SP2, latest Athlon 64 CPU driver, latest drivers for everything else).
What could be causing this?
Currently I'm running the system with only one stick of RAM, to determine if it's some kind of dual-channel problem or if Memtest86+ somehow didn't find an error while actually something was wrong...
I should note that somewhere in the past week my floppy drive controller must have died, it was working last week and not anymore at the moment. It's recognized by Windows, but no matter which floppydrive I attach it won't work. I've also tried swapping floppy drive cables and even the powerconnector. All of no avail.

My first (and only) K8N Neo2P has consistently worked well from the start--with the exception of some blue-screen STOP and MACHINE CHECK errors which I no longer have any problem with after doing a couple of things:
(1) At first I couldn't even boot into WinXP (locked up every time with a MACHINE CHECK BSOD) unless I entered the bios and turned off UDMA in the IDE config and set everything connected to the onboard IDE to PIO4 manually. After that, I could boot into Windows without error--but of course without UDMA which was unsatisfactory, too.
(2) Next thing I did was to update the firmware in both my optical drives after being reminded about the need to look at that by Glenn, a moderator in this forum. Well, that fixed the UDMA bootup problem I'd been having as all of my drives would correctly boot as UDMA devices with IDE bios config set to "auto," and I could at last correctly boot into WinXP without error. But then I noticed another problem...
(3)For some reason, about 60% of the time while booting the optical drive attached to IDE 1 as slave was not being detected by the bios as anything except "NONE", and so when Windows would detect it in software at boot it would automatically incorrectly configure it as a PIO4 drive. Fixing that problem was easy once I'd guessed the cause--replacing the orange MSI IDE cable that came with the board with another UDMA IDE cable immediately and permanently solved the detection problem I'd been having with the slave IDE optical drive.
Of course, now I wonder if the entire IDE configuration problems I'd had weren't caused by the faulty orange rounded MSI IDE cable that shipped with my motherboard--such that possibly all I need have done from the start was replace the IDE cable... But, of course, it didn't hurt to update my optical drive firmware anyway.
Anyway--after these steps I've had no more trouble with the Neo2P in any capacity. Your solution may not lie here, but I thought you should know about mine in case it might help you sort this out.

Besides, I haven't had any issues with detection of the IDE-devices.
Edit: Update - I'm currently running with only one DIMM (in slot 1) instead of two DIMMs (slot 1 and 2, also tried slot 3 and 4). An encode from DVD to XVid would cause a reset previously, now with only one DIMM the encode completed succesfully.
By no means is this a 100% assurance that the RAM was causing the problems, but it sure looks like it. This night I'll try an encode from DVD9 to DVD5 using DVD Rebuilder, previously that wouldn't complete succesfully either. If it does now, I'm quite sure the RAM was causing the problems. -
The screen looks completely normal besides the vertical white lines on the right hand side of the screen, as the "slide to unlock" is lighting up and the time and date are changing, but the screen is unresponsive. After several problems with Apple in the last few months (and two defective iPods including this one and one iPhone), I really don't want to go through the whole process of bringing it in or getting a new one entirely. It would greatly help if someone knows a solution, even if that would require completely resetting the iPod to factory settings, as I have had is synced to iTunes before. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help. Thanks.
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Seems like a bad digitizer or connection or logic board.

I received an automated download of a new FF version around March 8. I immediately began having issues with my email accounts on Comcast.net using my desktop (Windows 7). I do not have these issues with my laptop (FF 3.6.3, 4/29/10). Comcast spent almost 2 hours with me on several sessions, and demostrated that I can reach the email account through a work around, but not directly. They said that this was a software issue with some software package interfering with my login. Comcast reps could enter my email with no issues, so it has to be at my end. I removed a recent version of Adobe Flashplayer which had autoloaded around the same time as FF; when I tried to reload Flashplayer today, it told me that it was incompatible with FF.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

When I get the message that nothing has changed, I have had to press finish. The program then says to save in G:, but I no longer have a G; My former G: is now H: , but there is no opportunity to save it somewhere else.
