Gkbisd : itunes & mac app store unable to connect

hye,
i'm running 10.9.4. without a problem, but since a few days i'm unable to get itunes and app store.app connecting to the internet.
Checking console i'm getting these messages :

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

    A bit of history. I've had a new [Seagate] drive fitted this week under the Apple replacement programme.
    I did a complete restore from time macine backup which left me not able to login to my machine.
    After two days of calls to Apple Support finally got access to all my Data.
    So back to can't connect problem.
    It's not a problem with parental controls as there are none. I am logged in from a master admin account.
    I have full internet access. I can access iTunes from my 27 inch iMac using the same apple ID not problem.
    When I open the App store and try and login to my account it says 'connection failed' in red.
    Btw I can access the App sore no problem from my Mac Book Pro using the same apple ID
    Apple Support have been unable to help me so far.
    Any ideas anyone?

    Hi, something else is wrong.
    To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
    Open System Preferences>AccountsUsers & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
    Does App Store work in the new account?

  • Mac app store will not connect under a managed user account but will under admin. Please help clear this up?

    After I have installed OSX Mountain lion I clicked on the app store to buy an app. Only one problem, it says it "cannot connect", I then tried under the admin account and it worked no problem. I log back into the managed user account and disable any parental controls that might be interferring, I try again and it worked. I need the mac app store to work under the managed user with parental controls on. I cleared the iTunes store cache and reset the warnings just to see if that might do the trick but no luck. When the latest update was availble I updated immediatly in hopes of that might fixing the problem but again it did not work.  I would really appreciate if anyone had any ideas on how to help solve this issue.

    Back up all data before proceeding.
    Step 1
    Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/NetworkInterfaces.plist
    Right-click or control-click the line and select
              Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
    from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and test.
    *If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
    from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
    Log out, log back in, and test. If there's no improvement, continue.
    Step 2
    Reset your computer’s PRAM.

  • Itunes and app store lost internet connection

    Itunes and appstore plus an unrelated menubar appstore app and xmarks won't connect to the internet but I have internet connection.  Anyone know why this would happen?  I reinstalled my operating system which fixed the problem for a while but now it has reoccured and I'm absolutely sure that it wasn't due to my fiddling with system settings.

    I have tried several times to update my apps on my iPad but it keeps telling me it is unable to connect to iTunes store. I have tried signing into my account in the general settings iTunes & App Store settings and it says the same message, unable to connect to itunes. My iPhone connects just fine, and it is the same account. Anyone else having this problem??

    Same problem, except it isn't working on my iPhone either. Started about 20 minutes ago.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • ITunes Mac App Store Affiliate RSS Feeds Broken ?

    Looking at the affiliate RSS Feeds produced by Apple, Many of the backgrounds, instead of being transparent or at least white, are totally black.
    I have no idea if it is just my Mac being silly, but I don't think it is :/

    The reason I am concerned is that I am currently running a "Top Mac Apps" section on my site that gets its rankings from these feeds, and recently most of the backgrounds of the icons are becoming black. It just look ugly.

    I am certain that this is not "normal".
    Only in the past few weeks, the black backgrounds have begun to slowly phase in, with an ever increasing number of broken backgrounds.
    However I do agree that there is not much we can do about this at the moment, (unless you work for Apple of course).
    I hope they fix it soon.

    i had the same problem, with the same Imac. I have littlesnitch, and i found the reason, i push  the stop button in the preferences tab ,general, network filter off and i can connect to the store.  i have made a rule for the MAS (with allow connection) but it's only ok if i stop the filter totally.... i don't know why,......

    Turn off Find My iPhone in iCloud on the iDevice.
    Log out of iMessage, Facetime, remove Apple ID from iTunes & App Store.
    Use Settings > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
    Then set it up as a new iPhone with your own Apple ID.

  • Any Apple related (Mac app store, itunes, software update) doesn't connect

    First recently I had a problem with Mac app store. "Store News" a free app showed on my update tab but I've never downloaded that app before. It was not even installed on my mac or showing under my apps. The worst was when I clicked on update button for the app it asked for another account to login. I could not update the app or remove it because for this app that weird account was required! I asked for Apple support and they told me to get help from the developer. I did and they were amazing but the problem was not the app but Mac app store was hacked! And Apple doesn't admit that so they suggested me to kill my mac and reinstall my system! I didn't (yet!) because I heard about one big update at app store before Lion and thought "maybe this solve everything!". BUT when I tried to get software update it didn't connect. After trying to update my system, neither app store and itunes connect.
    My internet connection is working fine, I can browse, download, mail works fine. BUT I cannot connect to software update, itunes or app store. Why?
    So I manually downloaded the 10.6.8 combo update and installed hoping I could get things back to normal. Even after the update I still can't connect those services. Anybody having the same issue?

    I updated to Lion on launch day and had problems with  Software Update, iTunes and the Mac App Store connecting to the internet.
    I was completely connected to the interent, so people told me to wait it out as the servers were probably struggling.
    However, it's been two weeks and I still get this message:
    It's the same with iTunes as well as the mac app store.
    I'm at a loss as I can't update my computer.
    Anyone else have the same problem?

    1. Systems Preferences -> Network
    2. Under "Wi-Fi", click on the "Advanced" button.
    3. Under the "DNS" tab, add the Google Public DNS - 8.8.8.8
    4. Click OK, then click Apply.
    5. Turn WiFi OFF, then turn it back ON again.

    I am trying to purchase Keynotes from Mac App Store. I am running 10.6.8 from a Mac Book Pro that is about 3 years old. All of my updates are done. I click on App store and it comes up and says "Connecting to Itunes" and it stay there. When I try to click store, sign in, I put in my apple ID and password and it doesn't do anything. I am needing Keynotes for a presentation coming up soon so pleassssssseeeee help! I've tried to contact Apple Techincal Support and they want me to pay $20 for a phone call. I guess I will if I have to, but I really don't want to. The Mac App store has never worked since I updated to 10.6.8, but I never needed it so I didn't worry about it. HELP PLEASE!

    App Store is an application in Applications folder on your hard disk.
    But what error do you get, when trying to update iTunes? That should be possible in Snow Leopard too!
