Glare in the backround of an interview

Problem #1)
I filmed an interview with a white sign directly behind the subject, my fist mistake, with the lights on the subject there is a bad glare on the white sign in the back round. Is there a way to tone down the glare in the background?
Problem #2)
I filmed an interview outside and the subject is too bright. How do I town down the brightness/glare from the sun on the subject without making the background to dark.
Problem #3)
I filmed an interview with a lamp in the background. The lamp didn't look so bad on the camera screen but on my computer the lamp is a white hole and your eyes are drawn off of the subject and towards this lamp. Is there a way to only tone down the brightness of the lamp and leave the subject alone?
If you can help me with any three of these problems I would very appreciate it. Thanks for your time.
Andrew

You can try Color Correction, Levels and various image control filters all day and never get what you think you should. Your main problem is that your exposure was established by the brightest object in the shot and those pixels are gone, totally burned out. Video has no lattitude so your blacks are also probably gone, smooshed. You might be able to pull out some shadow detail if your camera has the ability to record deep blacks as real pixels.
This is a process of either finding a magic filter and settling for what you get with one try or going deep and figuring out how to correct the mistakes form the field.
Open the manual to the pages that explain how to use and how to interpret the waveform monitor display. If you do not understand video, this will take you several hours of study, it's confusing and geeky and you cannot confuse waveforms with histograms or you can't work. The waveform is your guide to adjusting contrast, reducing white peaks, and boosting blacks.
The easiest solution, honestly, is to reshoot. Use a light meter or learn how to read your zebra stripes in the camera and disable the auto iris. Bring a reflector or lights. Videography is hard.

• Firefox keeps running in the backround after closing it, it just lingers there, and when I try to restart firefox, it says that I have to close the current one or restart my system to clear the last firefox. what can I do, thanks...

After the last update, my IBM Clone computer does not close the session of firefox when clicking on "close" it clears the screen back to the desktop but firefox continues to hang there in the backround and will not allow another session of firefox to start until the first session is closed. The only way to reconnect is to do a restart on my system, and then the old firefox session is closed and the new session will start.

Must be the "hang at exit" problem.

• Apps in the backround

why wont apple lets apps run in the backround
like aim?

And a running background app is a perfect way to create a virus or do some other nasty thing. How would you know it was running if it was in the background, for example?
But no doubt power is the main issue like WalrusC stated.

• Whats running in the backround of imac

iMac is consistently running slow. The spinning wheel is always present, whether I am trying to close a program, open a program or in Safari.
I've repaired the disk in disk utilty which has not helped. Machine is close to 4 years old with 2.66 core duo, 4GB running 10.8.2. My son plays Minecraft so I'm not sure if that reamins in the backround even if the program is closed. Any help would be appreciated.

• Any solution to the glare off the screen on my MacBookPro 13"?

Is there any solution to the glare off the screen on my MacBookPro 13"? Main usage is in photography.

Hi Richard,
I have to agree with SU. I don't want to sound flippant, but the other option would be to use it in a totally dark room. I know, not real practical. Although they say "never say never," I think it's safe for me to say, since CRTs have exited the scene, I'll never purchase anything with a glossy display.

• Can anyone help me remove the glare on the glasses please?

Hello! I am just getting used to photoshop and my friend wanted me to take a quick picture of the family and now this is the only one they have. They want copies and I can't seem to get the glare off of the glasses. I tried clone and feathering, but I might be editing wrong as I am still learning. If anyone can help me and explain to me what they did. I would be very thankful.
Thank you,
Lacy

Hi Lacy. I am quite new to PSE myself so I decided to buy a book as I thought it might help with the learning. In the book I bought was a whole 10 step process for how to fix reflections in glasses (chapter 5 page 199). The book is called The Photoshop Elements 6 Book for Digital Photographers by Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski. What I've read so far is very good and easy to follow but it does assume some basic knowledge of elements. It might be worth you purchasing a copy or just having a quick look at this chapter in your local bookstore to see if it is what you are after.
Good luck and sorry there's been no response to your initial question before now.
Cheers
Sue

• Can we Change the backround color of an Input field in Webdynpro for ABAP.

Hi Experts ?
Can we change the background color of an Input field in WebDynpro for ABAP based on results we receive from any function module or BAPI?? .
Thanks in advance .
Regards ,
LAS

Yes. We can change the background of an input field. The way you do this is by editing the theme that webdynpro application uses. To edit the theme, you will need to install NWDS PLUS the theme edit plugin (Available for download from SAP).
Once you have edited the theme, you will need to upload your theme back to application server. You can use the program : BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to do this.
Bydefault, the theme used by webdynpro applications is :
/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow
You can apply another theme by calling the webdynpro application with a theme parameter. For example, if my webdynpro application name is "zgopaltest", then
http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_tradeshow
will apply the sap_tradeshow theme.
Likewise, you can apply diffrent theme. There is another theme that SAP provides. Its called : sap_hcb. Hence, you can apply the theme to the above application by:
http://<server>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zgopaltest?SAP-EP-THEMEROOT=/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/UR/nw5/themes/sap_hcb

• After installing Firefox 6, when I click on an e-mail (thunderbird) link, Firefox stays on the backround and does not open in front. How can I make firefox come to the front automatically when a link is clicked?

If I receive an e-mail on thurnderbird with a link to a URL, if I click it firefox will open in the background, but it won't automatically com to the front, but will stay in the back. I have to click on the thurnderbird icon to make the firefox screen come up.

See this lnk for a fix, it worked for me!

• Word wont open at all as it has a question mark in the backround

i have a macbook pro notebook and have been using microsoft word without any issues until today. It wont open up at all when i click on it it dont even jump and has a question mark behind it.What can i do to rectify the problem?

These question marks are on your dock? And you can't open applications from your dock?
If so, try this: Open a new finder window and navigate to the Applications folder in your hard disk. The applications in question should still be in there (the Applications folder). So drag each of the application icons that you want to be available on your dock from the Applications folder onto your dock, one by one. Take each of your question mark icons that are on the dock and drag them off the dock to get rid of them. See if that fixes you up.
Now, if your hard disk no longer has an Applications folder in it, or the Applications folder is empty, you are going to have to reinstall OS 10.6 then do a software update to bring you back up to OS 10.6.8. You may be able to just go to the "optional installs" folder on the installer DVD and maybe all the stock applications are there -- I don't remember and I don't have an installer DVD handy to look. That would be way easier than doing a full blown OS reinstall. Also, as I recall, if OS 10.6 was on the computer when you bought it from the store, I think there should be an "extras" DVD that has a handful of applications that could be reinstalled from it, too.
