GLC-T= with 3750-24TS

Does anybody know if the GLC-T= 1000Base-T SFP module works in a 3750-24TS switch? And if it does, can I bond 2 GLC-T modules in an etherchannel pair connected to a 3750G-24T switch?
Thanks,
Diego

Yes it is supported. Please check the compatibility matrix at:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/modules/ps5455/products_device_support_table09186a0080446625.html
I do not think you should have any issues in bonding them to other UTP ports in a second switch. That being said it is always good to test this in a lab before trying in production.

  • NAC port bounce feature not working with 3750 12.2(50)SE1 IOS...

Guys, would like to know the support for NAC to cisco IOS 12.2(50)SE1 IPBase version (3750).
We have the port bounce feature in test enviroment on switch 3560 with advance IP services IOS 12.2(46)SE and it was working fine, but now we are facing problem with 3750.
    Any clues...

    Hi Tarik,
Thanks for your reply,  SNMP settings are perfect since am able to manage the switch from CAM, i can change the port settings as well and yes mac-notification change is added automatically except bouncing the ports between vlans.
Am not sure but i suspect this could be the problem with IOS as it is IPBase, but in the test environment it was AdvanceIPservices and everything was perfect.

  • Prolabs GLC-LX/LH-SM-C compatible with 3750 ?

Hi I have a catalyst 3750, and a gbic prolabs.
Currently i haven't connexion on this gbic.
To solve my problem, i want to kown if the gbic works (or is compatible), how can i kown it ?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi
If you are installing non-cisco GBIC then you can see the error logs in your logs if you have already enabled logging in your switch.
you need to configure it using hidden command
    "service unsupported-transceiver"
    Stack1#conf t
Enter configuration commands, one per line. End with CNTL/Z.
    Stack1(config)#service unsupported-transceiver

  • 4900 M Switch with 3750 FiBer connectivity

    Hi,
We need to connect following switch over DarK Finber
    4900M  with this fiber
    <TR style="HEIGHT: 15pt" mcestyle="height: 15pt;">
    <TD style="WIDTH: 88pt; HEIGHT: 15pt" height=20 width=117 mcestyle="width: 88pt; height: 15pt;">10GBase-LX4
     or
    10GBase-LR
Other end we are having 3750-48 TS with this module :1000BaseSX SFP
Will the above fiber module are compatible ?
    Br/Subhojit

on 4900M side: we have any one of them : 10GBase-LX4,10GBase-LR ( Which end physical termination SC)On 3750 Side: we have 1000BaseSX SFP ( switch end physical termination LC)
Not remotely compatible for two reasons:
    1.  One end is LR and the other end is SX.  Both has to be the same, either LR-LR or SX-SX.  Not both.
    2.  One end is 10 Gbps and the other is 1 Gbps.  Both end has to be same, either 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps.
In case the same is not compatible, what is the possbile workaround
The 4900M can support CVR-X2 module.  So if you have WS-X4908 line card, you just get one CVR-X2 module and you should be able to use the following 1Gbps SFP modules:
    GLC-T (1000BASE-T)
    GLC-SX-MM
    GLC-LH-SM
    GLC-ZX-SM
    GLC-SX-MMD
    GLC-LH-SMD
    GLC-BX-D
    GLC-BX-U
    CWDM SFP
    DWDM SFP
    DWDM SFP (add.)
    GLC-EX-SMD
    (CPN 10-2624-01
    or later only)
    GLC-ZX-SMD

  • Redundancy with 3750

    Hi,
I have some problems to link up 3750 with the following configuration.
In fact, i have 2 products generating Multicast flows (1 Main & 1 standby).
    1 is connecting to 1 C3750 Main
    1 is connecting to 1 C3750 Standby
Port 7 of the C3750 Main is connected to an optical switch (the main unit)
Port 8 of the C3750 Main is connected to another optical switch (the standby unit)
Port 7 of the C3750 Standby is connected to an optical switch (the standby unit)
Port 8 of the C3750 Standby is connected to another optical switch (the main unit)
The goal is to switch both optical switches in the same time, but i have 2 differents phenomenas. If i switch from the main to BU, both links are present.
If i switch from the BU to the main, 1 of both links is present and the other disappears.

    Hello,
your physical setup is two 3750 switches, of which both have a connection to two optical switches, one standby, and one main unit, which gives us a total of 4 optical switches ?
How are your 3750 switches connected ? And what is the brand/manufacturer of the optical switches ? I guess I am asking in order to find out how the spanning tree is working; switches usually mean spanning tree...
Is it possible to post the configurations of the 3750 switches ?
    Regards,
    GP

  • 3750-24T-L randomly reboots without a cause

We have a WS-C3750X-24T-L switch that has 2 300W power supplies installed that is randomly rebooting its self about once a week. It is connected to a UPS, we have confirmed that the UPS and line power have not been interrupted at any time when the switch restarts. The logs show the switch was: Last reset from power-on. We have flipped the supplies positions in the switch and it still reboots. I have attached the output from running show tech.
Any ideas what may be going on?

    Hi,
First off, I am trying to discard bug CSCtw50892, in which the switch shows "power-on" no matter what the actual cause is.
If there is a crash or anything, this bug does not allow us see the actual last reset reason.
Could you reload the switch via console out of business hours?
    Switch#reload
Proceed with reload? [confirm]  <<< (press enter)
Thereafter, you should see the following when typing "show ver"
Router uptime is 3 days, 18 hours, 39 minutes
    System restarted by [reload cause]
System restarted by reload or system returned to ROM by reload
Let me go through the show tech and get back to you.
    Kind regards,
    - Ed

  • RPS 2300 together with 3750 - 48 PoE and Cisco 2821

    Hi,
I'm wondering what kind of power modules to include in RPS 2300 (750 or 1150 Watt) to provide redundant power supply for 1 x Cisco 2821 router (standart power supply) and Catalyst 3750 with PoE 48 ports.
    Thanks

I am not qualified to answer your question... I would like to mention to be careful when calculating power for phones, because some of the phones (especially color) will take more power than others. We ended up only being able to support 24-ish phones on a 3750 due to power limitations.

  • WOL support with 3750's

So we've just purchased a bunch of new network switches (3750's) and our Main computer lab uses WOL to turn on all the computers. The lab is very large, and the they span several VLAN's.
We'd like to make WOL work for them again.
    Any suggestions?

I'm assuming it stopped working after you put in the 3750s. Are you routing with the 3750s and weren't before? Did you segment the network in some way? WOL works on broadcasts. You may need to enter 'ip directed-broadcasts' on your Layer3 interfaces.

  • VLAN problem with 3750

    Hello,
I have configured a new interface vlan, sometimes it work, sometimes not.
Is there a interface vlan limit on the Cisco 3750?
    Here is my configuration:
    Backbone, 3750 L3.
    vlan 182
    interface Vlan182
    description USERS_EPFL
    ip address 172.16.182.1 255.255.255.0
    ip helper-address 172.16.2.4
    ip helper-address 172.16.2.5
    no ip redirects
    no ip unreachables
    On Cisco 3750 L2
    interface FastEthernet2/0/15
    switchport access vlan 182
    switchport mode access
    no logging event link-status
    srr-queue bandwidth share 10 10 60 20
    srr-queue bandwidth shape 10 0 0 0
    no snmp trap link-status
    mls qos trust cos
    no mdix auto
    auto qos voip trust
    spanning-tree portfast
    spanning-tree bpduguard enable
When I ping the computer connected to the port 2/0/15, sometime I can reach it, sometime not.
It work with the other vlan (132, 134...). IP is fix.
Many thanks if you have any ideas, I've been testing a long time.

  • CESoPSN with 3750 vs ME3800

    Hello.
I have a situation in which I am emulating E1 circuits. Im my enviroment I have 2 MWR 2941 (they have the emulation circuit configured, over GRE) at each site connected to a 3750.
I looped the E1 interface at one site and I connected a traffic generator in the E1 interface at the other site; when I run tests using a traffic generator I get lots of erros, drops, slips, etc. I could not find the problem and after a few weeks someone told to use a ME3800 instead of a 3750. I thought that was a stupid ideia because the only traffic in the switch was from the emulated circuit and the traffic was transparent to the switch; however I gave it a try and I am getting no more errors.
Does anyone know why using a ME3800 solved my problem? I have to explain this to the client.
    Thanks,
    João.
P.S. - I am using PTP with two GPS clocks (one at each site) in all equipements (including de traffic generator) because of clock rate issues.

Hi, could you please share your configuration of MWR.
As per configuration guide, supported encapsulations for CESoPSN are MPLS or UDP, not GRE.

  • Terminal monitor issue with 3750

I'm having an issue with term mon not displaying messages. I enable term mon on telnet connection and have checked the log settings and monitor is set as debugging. I am mainly interested in seeing line up/down status so I set a couple of interfaces logging event link-status. Maybe I've misunderstood how to do this. Thanks for the help.

Based on the output, you don't have terminal monitor enabled:
    Capabilities: none
    Here is my output:
    Rack1SW1#sh term | i Capa
    Capabilities: none
    Rack1SW1#term mon
    Rack1SW1#sh term | i Capa
    Capabilities: Receives Logging Output

If I remembered correctly, ASR will only accept GLC-T with hardware version of "-03".
