Glitch and LOss of 2 songs...
I purshased the song by auburn call lalala, and the album art for the auburn song also shows for the 8 other songs that i pujrchased after thhis song, does anyone know what i have to do to fix this.... and I also so know do not have this song any mor by auburn or the song by sum41 - still waiting, idk why i lost them but i spend money on them songs and i would like to get them back... so if anyone knows what i can do to fix this, can u plz help me.... i apreciate it.. thnxs

Songs have glitches and skip during the song
As of version 12.1, my songs skip and glitch and it sounds horrible. Each song (with the exception of a few) stop playing for a split second about 50-100 times during the playing of each song. Most of my music has a bitrate of 320 kbps and sounded perfect and smooth before this update. Now, all of a sudden, it plays songs like I have a cd player and am jogging. Before, the songs in my iTunes and on my ipod sounded smooth. Then I updated to 12.1, synced my ipod, now both in my iTunes and on my smart ipod, it sounds skippy and glitches throughout. What is this? Thank you.
There is an alternative version for 64-bit editions of Windows here:

that seems to address the most of the playback issues that some users have been reporting with the full 64-bit version of 12.1.0.77. The alternative installer here is the same architecture as most previous "64-bit" versions of iTunes, i.e., a 32-bit application with a 64-bit installer. The "for older video cards" label appears to be something of a misnomer as some people have reported that this corrects problems found on current / high-spec systems.
Some users have reported that after installing this alternative version it is necessary to adjust the "Play audio using" selection (normally to "Direct Sound" rather than "Windows Audio Session", though this may vary based on your audio hardware/drivers) in Edit > Preferences > Playback to restore glitch-free audio - one part of the reported symptoms is that the "Direct Sound" choice isn't available, usually in Windows 8.
If this doesn't address the issue, you may want to think about reverting to iTunes 12.0 - see Turingtest2's notes on Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates for steps needed to completely remove all installed iTunes components, and for links to the 12.0 installers.
By the way, yours is the first example I've seen of iPod playback issues after updating to 12.1. One of the changes in this release does relate to sync processes so you may have discovered a second issue - the one related to playback in iTunes seems to be related to conflicts or incompatibilities with Windows audio services and drivers. -
Iphone Updates Cause Restore And Loss Of Purchased Songs
Whenever i download updates for my Iphone 3g It stuffs up when installing causeing the apple screen and tells me i have to restore the phone, once i do that and go to sync the phone with itunes my songs are there except the ones i purchased from the itunes store, is there anyway i can get those songs back without having to purchase them again? Hello all
This has been bugging me for a little while. I bought myself a new bluray player awhile back and it has a USB hookup for ipods. This goes the same with my vehicle too. I have a few good playlists with some great songs, however, when i hooked it up to my bluray player, some of the songs didn't appear in the playlist that are not normally there. I disconnected the ipod and had a look on the screen and sure enough the songs are there, but they are just not appearing on the bluray player. This only happens for some songs, not all of them. I was disappointed at this because I really wanted to hear my songs. So I decided to download the WHOLE album off of itunes from which I got the song from and sure enough, this time the song appeared on my bluray player and it played in the playlist.
Why is this? Is there a way to make it so that I can have all the songs play without downloading all of the albums?Did the original songs that do not appear on the car player play in the Music app on the iPod? Sometimes glitches happen and they do not. I have recently started using an old Nano and purchased some new songs. When I go to sync it wants to erase other songs to download new. Is there a way to just sync new songs to ipod without erasing existing music on devise?
Syncing shouldn't trouch you photos unless you have photos in a Photo Library album. These would be photos that were synced to your phone from your computer. If you do have any, you'll need to use an app like PhotoSync to transfer them to your computer prior to syncing.
If you prefer to backup your camera roll photos prior to syncing, open iTunes and go to Preferences>Devices and check "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone to your computer and import them as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then, to minimize data loss, follow the steps in this user tip: https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141. To follow the steps, first open iTunes and go to View>Show Sidebar. Also, Transfer Purchases is now located in File>Devices. -
GUI glitching and blinking when running games
My circa-2011 MacBook Pro is running OS X 10.6.8
Last May, while completing a second playthrough of a game downloaded from Steam and first completed a few weeks earlier, my screen suddenly filled with blocks of static, my dock and taskbar fragmented and began appearing and vanishing, my desktop icons began clipping through my open windows, contents of windows appeared inside other windows, and more-- it was a mess.
I called the support hotline and managed to fix everything with the support guy's patient help. I foolishly did not write down how to fix an error like that, so I didn't remember exactly what had gone wrong, either. Between that day and now, the problem has not reoccurred, so it's obviously linked to trying to game on this computer.
Today, I booted up Minecraft (downloaded legally and scanned; the problem is not with the software), expecting it to work just as well as it's been for the few days I've had it. Suddenly, the same error began happening again, and I managed to force the game to quit before my whole screen was unusable. As soon as the program had quit, the glitches stopped.
I've scanned for new software, java updates, etc; I'm all set. I've also scanned for viruses, and there aren't any. I'm at a loss; what could be causing these frustrating glitches, and how can I stop them?That is a MAX Temp not what it is supposed to run at all the time or even for a short but extended priod of time.
The temp of your Mac should be somewhere in the range of 40-50°c when at idle. If it is higher then that then you may have a problem with the thermal paste or the cooling system. Not all computers coming off the production line are made the same.
I just last night put a i7 2720QM quad core CPU, 2.2 Ghz, in my Dell E6420 that came with a Dual core i5 2.5Ghz CPU. I redid the thermal paste with a very good product and the i7 is running cooler then the i5 did. Also the i5 would run one core at around 50°c all the time and the other around the 40° mark. The i7 runs at a steady 42-47°c for all 4 cores. So all intel CPUs aren't built that same either.
If your Mac is running at idle above 50°c I'd take it back and get another. You do have 14 days to return it. -
All my purchased song from iTunes are not playing complete (iPod and computer with Windows Vista), unexpectedly stops and continues with next song. What am I doing wrong?

My MacBook Pro HD crashed. It is all up and runmning except for one issue. I have about 200 songs on my iPhone but have only gotton 53 back on my laptop from my iPhone and those are the songs I purchased via iTunes. How do I get the rest of the songs from my iPhone back onto my HD.

I would do a transfer of purchases from the phone and not sync. If you sync then it will want to start over and sync music that is on the MacBook Pro. I bought a new album off of iTunes the wifi wasn't strong so I left my computer on as it was downloading and went to sleep. This morning I went to listen to the songs and some of the songs will only play the first 50 sec or the first minute? How do i fix it or refresh them so i can listen to them fully?

apple update erased my playlists, they are no longer showing on my iTunes. I am missing songs that do appear in iTunes and should be on the ipod but are not, and new playlists that I didn't have are now where mine should be. Any suggestions as to getting "MY" ipod back?

I have a iPhone 5 with the most up to date software and I have songs appearing on my phone that I've deleted prior too from iTunes on the computer. How do I remove them from my phone, I've tried the left to right swipe and that just plays the songs! :/ Can anyone help me, I'd be forever grateful if I didn't have to go back to the store! I went I today abc he unchecked the show all music and there's still songs I don't want on my iPhone! :(
The answer to the question in the title of the thread is yes, but it is not necessarily a good idea. At some point you are likely to find you need to restore your iPod for one reason or another, or it could be lost, stolen or damaged. If your songs aren't on your computer, and backed up too, then you will be less than happy.

I've been using Ringtone Maker to add ringtones to my iPhone. The app is now telling me my music I bought from the iTunes store is not exportable. I downloaded a new app called Ringer and it says my song "has no audio tracks". Wha am I doing wrong??

I have no idea what happened!? I just updated Itunes on my macbook and now my entire song library won't play. When I click on a song it says it can't play because it can't find the original file. How is this possible? The original files are on my computer. I just upgraded!! HELP!!
The only thing I can think of is that you deleted these files off your computer without using iTunes to do it. Or maybe you backed up your computer to a previous state to where these song files didn't exist? The last one doesn't even make sense to me unless you used Time Machine to do it. But those are the only things I can think of.
