Glitches in ePub File Not Detectable in Pages Prior to Exporting

Dear Apple Support Community:
Greetings. I am using an updated version of Pages to create a file to be exported as an ePub. The exported file as an ePub is fine when viewed on my iPod Touch as an iBook. However, the ePub/iBook contains some blank pages that I did not insert. Whether in portrait or landscape mode, there are blank pages that should not exist. Again and again, I have deleted blank spaces at the top and bottom of pages in Pages, but the resulting ePub (displayed as an iBook on my iPod Touch) still has blank pages. When I view the pre-EPUB file in Pages, I cannot and do not detect any blank pages.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can create an eventual ePub in Pages that will more closely reflect the pages and spacings in the actual, pre-EPUB file?

P.S. The few images are inline, etc., etc., and the table of contents is fine, accurate, and functional, except that it displays or lists "section" in places that I did not mark up or stylize as "sections" in Pages.

I wouldn't use Sigil myself. Perhaps you should go back to basics. You seem to be formatting your ePub incorrectly somewhere. I suggest you create a short document of say 16 pages, set it up afresh, using similar chapter headings, subheadings and text paragraph styles as the original, inserting the images inline, trying out the various Anchored Objects Options as so on. Keep testing the output using the IDPF Validator and viewing the ePub on the iBooks reader (if you’re using a Mac). You’ll then discover the various ways of formatting the book to get the effect you want. Jsp taglibs in include files not detected, throws errors, no code insight

I have a jsp which is included in all the other jsp. it looks something like this

I am having 2 problems
1. the jsp editor show errors all over the place saying
element path not expected
element commandName not expected etc.
2. no code insights.
but if i include the taglib def in test.jsp it dosn't show any error and also provides code insights. but seldom do people include all taglibs in all jsps.
is there a way for Jdeveloper to show code insights in jsp pages which includes a jsp or like xml schemas could be added at some place(tools-pref-xml schemas) and when used anywhere, would provide code insights.

SWF files not loading onto page in Catalyst output.

This is a new one that I have not yet seen. I have a large assortment of SWF files set up in Scroll Panes and they are not loading up when I check the project using Firefox or Safari. The site is here:

Go into any page linked from the top row and then hit a sub page. When you see a scroll bar come up on the right side of the film strip yet nothing inside the film strip you will see the issue.
This is really serious and could screw up my entire project so any advice would be really helpful. I need to figure out why the SWF files are not loading in on the browser with the files from the server when they work just fine using the local deploy files. Everything works just fine from the machine but when I try to get it to download from the server nothing.
All of the SWF files are built in Flash CS5 using AS3 and contain some simple links and commands. Some of the SWF files are coming up just fine, it is just the latest batch of files I have uploaded that are giving me the problem, but only off the server. The same files work just fine in local mode.

Customizing EBS Oracle Help - "404 File Not Found" Default page

All,
I am wondering if someone could explain to me how the Oracle EBS Application Help works. For example, we have a custom form where we do not have a Help Page defined for the form so it sends me to a default page that says the following:
"404 NOT FOUND"
An error occurred while retrieving Oracle Applications Help information.
Help target US/********* could not be found.
My question is, when I clicked the Help icon, what happens after this? It would typically find the correct Lang/Application/Form and reference a page within that directories APPL_TOP/help directory. But when the page is not found something knows to send it to the specific oracle default 404 Not Found page. Anyone know how this happens?
Forgot to mention I am running on EBS R12.

Pdf files not printing whole page

pdf files printing just part of page.
have everything updated on my mac and hp printer.
anyone have a solution?

This is occuring because you might have set page scaling option as "Actual Size". Kindly change this to "Fit" or "Shrink" based on your requirement.

PDf files not appearing after page loads

On several different sites, I've recently experienced a dark (black) screen after trying to view pdf files.
I cannot view any pdf files at present. The relevant page(s) seem to load and then the screen goes black. Any suggestions welcome.

What happens if you right click then Save as...
Or right click on the link to Download them & view with preview?
How about a link to see if it's common?
Have you tried more than one Browser?

PSE9 - Watch Folders in multiple catalogs - new files not detected

I run PSE9 and have 2 catalogs (both in a "Custom Location"), one with photos and one with pdf documents.
I have set up "Watch Folders" in each catalog, but I never get any notification about new files.
Service "AdobeActiveFileMonitor9.0" is running - with Local System Account.
Are there any logs to check?
Does watch folders rely on the archive attribute of files?
Does it matter which catalog I have open?

Deleting files not detected by agent

I've created and registered an agent in iFS which is fired when a file is created or deleted.
My agent detects the creation, but never the deletion

You can try resetting the iPhone, but It sounds like you'll have to restore the iPhone. This article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305744 will walk you through restoring the iPhone.
You can reset the iPhone by holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple logo as described here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305743

JatoSample samplecomponents.tld file not detected

When attempting to run the "Wizard-like" Data Entry sample app, the following error is returned:
Application Error
org.apache.jasper.JasperException: File "/WEB-INF/tld/samplecomponents/samplecomponents.tld" not found The file appears to be in the indicated directory. Running under a local copy of S1AS on Windows XP.

This is a known problem; sorry for the inconvenience. Please open the sample application in the Sun ONE Studio and deploy it from there, or extract the TLD in question manually from samplecomponents.jar to the indication location.

Class file not detecting

Hi All,
I just set up IdM 7.0. I took the classes folder from my colleague's machine and pasted it in the WEB-INF folder in my local. (I am using tomcat).
When I am running my application at one instance it calling a class, but I am getting the following message
XPRESS exception:
Class <package>.<classname> not found
I have added entry in the environment variables also. What all I could do I believe I have done bhut still it is giving me this error. I even compiled the java file and created the class file in my system, but still it is not working ( though that will not be a problem because class files are machine independent). I even tried putting the whole path upto the class file, into the environment variable. But still this error is coming.
Please help me.

try clearing cache and restarting tomcat. If you post the code that you are using to call the methods it will help to find the issue.

J4550 error message "Alignmnet page not detected" -alignment page prints ok

j4550 Printer will not align. Alignment page prints correctly (per HP website), but scanning page gives an error message "Alignment page not found". Printer copies fine. Default alignment results in blurred printing.

Hello , Welcome to the thread! I understand that your HP Officejet Pro 8500 All-in-One A909a Printer is experiencing Printhead and Alignment failures. Because you have already replaced both the Cyan and Magenta Printhead (twice) and Black and Yellow Printhead in the past and the issues continue to occur over time I believe that the Printhead sensor or print system within the actual printer is going. Should this occur then print system issues, such as Alignment, Printhead, cartridge, quality, etc issues will occur and will usually become worse over time. Very Very Urgnet -- export to pdf error -- File not found

I have a major problem while exporting pdf files at runtime
Using VB 6.0 and Crystal Reports 8.5, I am able to generate the required report.
While exporting to the pdf, I need to save the files without any user interaction.
I have tried using the exportoptions, but it gives error

Try adding .epub to the end of the name.
I assume you are aware that to open an .epub file you need a special app, not TextEdit or Pages, right?

.ibook files (not epubs) ...and epubs with blank pages ...all on a PC.

I come to you with my hat in my hand today after nearly a month of wrestling with Adobe Digital Editions. Granted, a large part of that was my initial lack of following instructions in haste, giving up, deleting my needed epub files, and subsequently rescuing them. I am now at a point of approximately 75% success, on both my laptop and PC. My final pieces are... icons that look like white pages that are not epub files, but .ibook files.
My next problem is that my more costly, and even some free ibooks only open to blank pages.
Information on the web in sketchy at best, and often outdated (pre ADE 4), and I would like to finally put this behind me. I am a straight up guy. I was buying Adobe products at $700 a pop when I really couldn't afford them, I also gladly pay for books to support authors and artists. The power of this software has such potential for academics' in that highlights can be made, and notes can be marked or written for later reference in research. I love the ability to pull things from my PC right into Word. Yet, at times, I like the comfort of sitting quietly reading via my iPad. I have no intentions of doing anyone wrong, breaking laws, or anything of the sort; I simply find great value in this product.
If someone would help me separate the wheat from the chaff I would be very thankful. I am weary, looking for answers even trying to get this far. I have made it to 75% success however

I suggest you confirm that you did infact save them as .doc files, and that you included the .doc filename extension at the end.
