GLOBAL ATP WITHOUT APO

When I was at Sapphire in 2007, SAP demo'd a global ATP from within SD that utilized enhancement pack 1 or 2. Now I need to implement something like this, without using APO. However, I can't find any references to in through Enhancement Pack 3 (our current version). Has anyone seen this done? Basically, if a customer orders an item, then we want to check two distribution centers, then look at stores with either high avaialability/overstock or near-by. Thanks in advance for ideas. I just need leads not a detailed solution.

The end objective of GATP is the same as that of regular ECC ATP - provide customers with committed dates and quantities. Having said that, GATP provides a HUUUGE improvement in functionality compared to the ECC ATP check - for example, rules based ATP check for product/ location substitution, multi-level ATP check, capable-to promise, etc.
Because of these dramatic improvements in functionality, GATP has the potential to do a lot more than order promising - depending on the business requirement, it can reduce inventory, improve customer service, improve fill rates, ....
GATP is executed in the APO system and is a module of APO. Best place to start with documentation is SAP help.

  • Global ATP Check vs APO

    Hello All,
Two questions about the Global ATP check :
    1. Could i get documentation about this functionnality? How does it work? What does the Global ATP check allows us to do?
    2. Is it possible to get the Global ATP check without APO?
    Thanks for your answer.

  • EHP4 Lean Sales Order Web Dynpro - Global ATP interaction

We are currently looking to use the Lean Sales Order interface Web Dynpro in ECC EHP4 and have a question about how it integrates with Global ATP.
If SAP standard VA01 is used, the user is presented with an APO Availability check screen which allows them to make a decision about where the product can be sourced from.
Please could you tell me if there is any such user interaction possible with the Lean Order  Web Dynpro in EHP4?  Or is the user interaction limited to changing the schedule line dates + asking for partial or full delivery.

    Hi,
Right click on the field and select->Technical settings->you can find the component configuration under current view section. Navigate to configuration and you can choose field and click on attributes button on menu. there you can change values. else find feeder class in general settings. Go to feeder class and method "Get_Definition". here also you can change attributes.

  • Routes and Transit times with Global ATP

If Global ATP is used where are the transit times managed usually? in SAP or APO. Since Transit Times are in Routes in SAP. Is there any equivalent data management point in APO?
    Thanks
    venkat Jupudy

    Hi Venkat
You can either call scheduling locally in R/3 and also in APO as part of GATP function.
Transit times are maintained in scheduling steps( creating condition records of condition technique scheduling) for condition type TRAN.
Route determination can be done in R/3. There is a possibility of dynamic route determination in APO but I guess it requires TP/VS and gatp functions.

  • ATP in APO-Process

    Hi All,
Can you please advise me regarding ATP in APO? what are the features that APO provides in ATP.
    Thanks,
    Vijesh

    Hi vijesh.
Hope you are aware of Basic ATP checks in R/3. In APO along with the basic availability check (BAC) methods in R3 we have Advanced availability check (AAC) methods which are mentioned
    below :
    1) BOP (back order processing)
    2) RBA (Rule based availability Check)
    3)MLATP(Multilevel ATP)
    4)CTP(capable to promise)
    5)EDQA (event driven quantity assignment)
we can combine These BAC and AAC with the help of check instructions in APO.
if i keep writing it goes into pages... pls go through the below link which help you in understanding ATP in APO

  • Global ATP does not honor supply from some orgs

Global ATP does not honor supply from some orgs
    ATP based on planning data.
Planning completes OK and shows enough supply (in planning workbench).
ATP plan based on Bill of Distribution defined like this:
    Source for ORG1 is ORG2 ->
    Source for ORG2 is ORG3 ->
    Source for ORG3 is Supplier
When inquiring ATP in ORG1 it considers supply only from ORG2,
    nor ORG3/Supplier.
Despite the plan contains supply from all orgs.
    Any solution ?

I think you need to set up a direct relationship between ORG1, ORG3 and the supplier. ORG3 and supplier would be lower ranked options.
    For Example-
    ORG1 from ORG2 rank 1 100%
    ORG1 from ORG3 rank 2 100%
    ORG1 from Supplier rank 3 100%
The results will also depend on whether the plan is constrained and/or optimized.

We've been experiencing these following mistakes:
"PRS-00322: Internal Error: started new global transaction without ending existing global transaction. Please contact Oracle Support with the stack trace and details on how to reproduce it".
"API5022: It's not possible to establish connection with the specified account. Check out the connection information".
Do I have to change something on the TNSNAMES.ora or something like this?
    Thanks for your help

    have u tried this

  • Cross System flow WITHOUT APO

    Hi
has anyone experience of implementing "Cross system flow of goods" WITHOUT APO ? The SAP Help for 'without APO' has 'page not found' since 4.7 which implies this is no longer offered.  There are plenty of OSS fixes for the solution with APO which again implies this option is not possible without APO.
    regards
    Irene

    Hi,
and thanks for looking into this.
No, I do not have an APO (company is using JDA/manugisitcs) and I want to set up cross system STO between two ECC 6.0 systems directly.
I do have a number of idocs running between the systems already and also know the place where to configure a plant for cross system goods flow.
What I would like to know is if this scenario is supported at all and if yes, what is the sequence of idocs and and what are their triggers (in other words - the technical side of the business process) .
    Best regards

  • ATP based on an availability date without APO

    Hello
we have mateirals that mature/cure for n days. We need to include that n days (availability date) in our ATP at order entry time. we do not have/use APO. Is this possible?? If so can you please share the details of how it can be achieved???
    thank you

    Linda,
Simplest solution. Do all three of the following. Works in any system, including SAP:
    1. Include the mature/cure time in your Total Replenishment lead time.
    2. Confirm your orders based upon availability of FGs stock or excess replenishment orders; or lacking those, upon Total replenishment lead time.
    3. Do not receive the product into FG stock until the mature/cure time has elapsed.

  • How to Set multiple Global Variables without using Controls or Indicators

I have to set many Global Variables (i.e. declare and initialize them) in a subVI in order to pass them to various other subVI's. The only way I know how to do it in LabView is to create a Globals.vi on which you create a control or indicator for EACH Global Variable. That's fine if you have only a few variables. But I have close to a hundred Global Variables (which come from a configuration file for a large program) and clearly it is impractical and cumbersome to create a control for each global variable. In Agilent Vee, there is a simple function called "Set Variable" that sets the data value of a global variable. Then in other module, you simply use the "Get Variable" function to get back the v
    ariable and its value.
In LabView you can use the "Invoke Node / Set Control Value" and "Get Control Value" properties to achieve the same thing. But as mentioned above, you need to create a control for each global variable and that is a big pain in my case, with many global variables. Furthermore, the global variables are read from a Configuration Text File to this VI. Is there a way to do it without using the control? Thank you in advance for any help.

Actually you could create the same sort of facility in LV. All you have to do is create a LV2-style global that behaves as follows:
To write a value to it, you supply a value name and the value. These pieces of data are save internally in seperate arrays.
To read a value, you supply a value name. The VI looks up this name in the value name array to return an index into the value array. Output the value you find.
Frankly though, it sounds like what you really need is not hundreds of globals, but a good way to manage configuration data.

  • Trying to understand this behavoir global ATP, Prod All.

    Hi Gurus,
I'm using ECC 6.0 and SCM 5.0. I have done all the settings necessary to run a gATP from SCM. The gATP method is Check Against Product Allocations.
I have a product allocation procedure with THREE STEPS, for the first TWO STEPS I have an allocation of 1000 TM during weeks 24, 25, 26.
In the third step I have allocations of 100 TM, 100TM, 300 TM during weeks 24,25,26.
When I execute the ATP check for an order with 500 TM requirement I have the following schedule lines as response from APO:
    Week 24 - 100 TM
    Week 25 - 100 TM
    Week 26 - 300 TM
But if I check the /SAPAPO/AC42 for the first two steps of the product allocation procedure I see 500 TM in week 24.
    For the third step I see 100, 100, 300.
Is this a correct behavoir?, I think I should see the same quantities in the three product allocation groups.
    I appreciate you kind help
Points wil lbe rewarded to helpful answers
    -Italo

    Hi Hugo,
You are getting correct behaviour from the system.
The final confirmed quantity is the minimum quantity confirmed of the individual product allocations steps. hence when you performed ATP check for order it gave you result of 100, 100 and 300 for week 24, 25 and 26.
You can check same behaviour in APO by using transaction /SAPAPO/AC02.
In transaction /SAPAPO/AC42, it just shows the product allocation for each step. And hence shows 500 as allocation in first two steps and same as order ATP check for third step.

  • Transportation Lanes in Global ATP using hierarchy

    Dear experts,
I want to use a hierarchy with customers/locations allocated to transportation zones and create transportation lanes between the transportation zones. When running the GATP check, transportation lane is never found via the hierarchy. If I create the TL between supplying location and customer location it works fine. Are hierarchies not supposed to work when doing transportation scheduling in GATP?
Is there any way to do the transportation scheduling in ECC (6.2) in the material ATP-check is carried out in SCM (5.0)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Stefan

    Hi,
The best way to see which are the input needs to be filled is to look at the "APO Loader". & Sheet "Lane".
Please reward points if this answer is helpful to you. Thanks..

  • Global ATP with product allocations and SD returns

    Dear all,
We have  been setting up an implementation scenario with an ECC 6.0 and SCM 5.0 system which verifies SD orders versus SCM product allocations.
With SD orders and SD contracts everything works fine. But we have a problem with using SD returns (same material and plant used like the SD orders): We would expect the system also to check the returns for product allocation quantities but it seems that the SCM availability check does not enter the product allocation procedure at all (we have some user-exits in use but these are only accessed when we go via SD orders, no access at all for SD returns).
Is there any special setting which we have to activate in order to have the SD returns properly processed with product allocations? (Customizing "Set the Transfer of Returns to SAP APO" within ECC is activated) The system somewhere gets stuck during the check within the SCM system.
Thanks for providing assistance regarding this matter.
    Kind regards,
    Klemens

Hi folks, did you resolve your issue here? I assume what you are wanting is for the Returns order to free up allocations qtys that had previously been consumed by the originating sales order, that is, incoming orders qty should be reduced by the amount of the returns order. I know that when a sales order line item is rejected the incoming order qty is reduced, but I'm not sure it is possible for a returns order to do this.
ATP Man, are you saying that as category BZ is not supported by Allocations that it is therefore not possible for the Incoming Orders Qty to be reduced  by a Returns Order? I have a business reequirement to do exactly that.
If it is not possible to do this through the automatically via the ATP check, the only way I can think to address this, would be to try and transfer the Returns qty to SCM after the order is saved and then to have a macro that reads the returns qty and reduces the Incoming Orders qty by the qty of the return.
    Paul.

  • Global ATP Questions

We are Presently doing Forecasting and Planning in an External system and bring the data into SAP and complete the Production execution and Order Fullfilment in SAP. We are planning to activate ATP in SAP and thinking of using GlobalATP in APO and leave the planning and forecasting in an external system.
I am an APO novice and would like to ask:
    1. To perform ATP do we need all the issues(Sales Orders, Deliveries) and receipts(Purchase Requisitions, Planned Orders) in APO?
    2. Once we download the Planned orders or Stock transport requests from external interface, do they get transferred to APO automatically? I guess CIF allows them to go automatically.
    3. I guess in Apo the planned order and process order is a single elment. Is that Correct?
    I appreciate your answers.
    Thanks
    Venkat Jupudy

    Hi Venkat
    1. To perform ATP do we need all the issues(Sales Orders, Deliveries) and receipts(Purchase Requisitions, Planned Orders) in APO?
Yes you need all the mentioned elements above in APO to do ATP check. Again, you can also extend the scope of the check to further more receipts and issues. All  depends on your configuration of scope of check.
    3. I guess in Apo the planned order and process order is a single elment. Is that Correct?
Yes, technically a planned order can be a planned process order or a planned production order.

  • ATP in APO

How do I define in R/3 that availability check is done in APO?
    Best Regards
    -Italo

You need to create ATP check interation model in R/3, ATP check will be done in APO for the material which are there in active integration model of ATP check.
You can select the material in the ATP intergation model based on:
    Material
    Plnt
    Matl Type
    PlantSpec. Mtl Stat
    MRP Ctrlr
    MRP Type
    ABC Indicator
or material selection based on TVARVC table variable.
