Global CKFs not visible in query

Hi,
I created some Global CKFs for a query , but next time they are not visible under the Global CKFs column ,
Any one has idea about it ?

Hi Dinesh ,
Your concern is right . But for global CKFs should be available on left panel under Calculated Key Figures right? They are not even appearing there . But they are inside the system i checked them .
This is happening only for one cube . I wonder if there is any setting at cube level to display these global CKFs in query designer ??
Any idea?

Attribute not visible in Query Designer

hi BI Gurus,
I could not see some InfoObjects(Attributes) which are marked Authorization Relevant, in the query designer. And the strange thing is, they are not visible even for the user with SAP_ALL and 0BI_ALL assigned. The authorizations for the cube in which the main char is used looks fine.
I have checked all the options in RSECADMIN, everything looks good.
pls help me in finding the solution..

check out with the info object screen in attribute tab, navigational attribute on/0f switch box, if u r using FF source system.
check out with the infocube whether u r checked the check boxes in navigational attribute tab.

Data not visible in query output

Hi Gurus
I have a report which is being published at the portal but the data is not visible for it...now when i check the query for that report and try to run it. i still don't see any data..now on further analysis when i use the same filters used in the query on the multiprovider on which the query is created i can see the data and when i run the report in RSRT, i can see the data...but don't know why its not visible when i execute the query or the report on the the portal....plz suggest..points will be awarded..

Check the query with Bex Analyzer; If it give you the correct result then It might be configuration problem with your JAVA settings..
Please try And also run Support Desk Tool
(SAP Note 937697 ) to figure out the configuration Issues....

New key figures in multiprovider not visible in query designer

Dear Experts,
I added a cube and keyfigures to the multiprovider definition.
The multiprovider is activated successfully.
The added keyfigures come only from this new cube.
I identified these new keyfigures to this new cube only.
There is an existing query based on old version of the multiprovider without the new cube.
When i relaunch query designer and re-open this query, i could not see the new keyfigures.
When i create a new query, also its not showing the new keyfigures.
Is there something not refreshed that I do not see these new key figures?

Hi,
Some time it happens that newly added key figures and characteristics are not visible immediately in Bex query designer. Just check for warnings if any encountered while activating else try editing and re activating your Multiprovider and also proper field assignment.
Newly added Key Figures should be visible in both New and Old queries without any differentiation. Just log off and log in back after some time, there is a good possibility that this inconsistency would be resolved.

Document Link Item Icon not visible at query execution

Dear Colleagues!
How can I acheive to have the comment-icon visible when I open a query with comments in BI Portal, as a default?
I have set som settings for the properties of the Query in Query Designer. As it is now I have marked for Document Links, Master Data and Info Provider Data, under presentation of the query as a whole.
Still, when I execute, I can not see any icons. But if I enter settings in the web, and mark for Document Settings for data, the icons appear.
I do not want the customer to have to do this settings each time they ececute a query from the portal. Rather I want the Document Link Icon to be visible by default. How can I get my settings in the query designer to be counting in fromt of the settings in the template?

I figured this one out myself. There is a setting in Web Application Designer, directly on the query in question. In properties for the query I tick of "Document Links Visible".

Variable not visible in query designer

Hello,
I have 4 variables created for an InfoObject. But for one of my query written on Infoset, under that InfoObject in query designer it only shows me 2 variables.
Any ideas what is causing the other 2 variables not to be visible?

BC installed BEx Variables are not visible in Query Designer

Hello,
I have installed SAP Exit BEx Varibales from Business Content (0P_KEYDT, 0P_KEYD2 and 0P_KEYD3)
sucessfully.
But when I am not able to see these variables in the Query Desginer ( Need to restirct these on Net Due Date, Posting Date).
Please advise me on this.

Are you sure you have the characteristics on which these variables are defined y SAP are in your data target?
Pl check this out. Alsso, sometimes, if you log out and get back, it may help.

Global Property not visible inside a BLT called from another BLT

Hi,
I have created a Global Property SID to indicate the System ID so a BLT can use it (e.g. in file names). This executes correctly (MII 12.0.2).
However, now I call this BLT from within another BLT, and that time the SID is marked as error ("invalid variable in expression: Global.SID").
Has anyone experienced this error before? I thought that Global properties are available in every BLT.

which checkbox do you mean? In the "Transaction Call Configuration" box I only select the transaction name. I do not need the "Reload transaction after execution" checkbox, as all initialization will be done in the called transaction. I would expect the Global properties to be available anywhere...

Hierarchy not visible in Query designer

Hello Experts.
I am trying to create a query in BW 3.5 but I ran into one issue. I created a hierarchy for an Infoobject. But I am not able see this Hierarchy for the Infoobject in BW 3.5 Query designer although I can see it in BI 7.0 Query designer.
Any help in this regards will be appreciated and points will be assigned.

Check if you have made the "hierarchy" Active in your BW 3.5 query and also chosen the hierarchy correctly.
Right click on the characteristic----
> properties.

KeyFigure from MultiCube not visible in Query Designer

Hello,
I'm facing a strange issue. I added a new Key Figure to a MultiProvider. All identifications have been done and MP is active.
However, when I try to create a new query on top of this MultiProvider or change an existing query , I cannot see the new KeyFigure in the list of Key Figures.
Has anyone any idea how this can happen and what can be done to get this resolved?

Just resolved it by simply doing a re-activation of the MP (even if it already was active ????).

Mapped characteristics in Multiprovider not available in Query Designer

Hi,
we have a multiprovider with approx 10 cubes and lot of characteristics, Navigational attributes mapped to it. I have added around 3 more characteristics and mapped to underlying cubes. But these added characteristics are not visible in Query designer. Is there maximum limit for the number of characteristics.

Disconnecting the BEx made it work. But i dont understand i added this yesterday in the multiprovider. But i also removed some navigational attributes from the mapping. I will re-map and check. Thanks for the tip.

Currency Conversion type not visible in the query

Hi ,
I created one currency type conversion   Z_INR
exchange rate type : M
Exchange rate from infoobject : zexch_rate(key fig)
source curr from data record
Fixed target curr : INR
Variable time reference : A to Exact Day
Special info object : Ztr_date (Transaction date)
it got saved succesfully but wen i try to include this in the query its not visible there . can anyone let me know why this problem is coming
help will be appreciated .

Create Currency conversion type using Trans: RRC1.
1.Specify your Exchange rate type.
2.Dynamic Exchange rate type
3.Source curency from data rec.
4.Fixed currency say USD.
5.Select Variable Time reference "Start Month" and Special Info Object - 0calmonth
Secondly In the key figure field to be converted in the query,   select properties - select the currency conversion key name .

Key is not visible in SQL 2012 R2 when query is read from SAP BI

I have a query in sap bi which has variables where key and text is displayed as per screen shot 1. How ever the same query is triggered from SQL 2012 r2 the key is not visible but text is visible as per screenshot 2 . Could any one suggest how the key will be displayed by there end(SQL).

I think you're in the wrong space as yor screenshots are not from any Business Objects or SAP BI 4.x products I know.
What exact product are you using ?
this space is for SAP Business Objects products family.

Query not visible in Prod,

Hi all
I have created 5 queries in Dev and transported to Quality and then to production
In Quality i was able to see all the Queries under that Infocube
But once they are moved to prod i was not able to see them.
For trail i tried creating the same query in prod with the same name, it says like Query Name already exists.
but go and search for that to open its not visible.
can anyone say what could be the wrong

Do you have the same authorizations in Prod as in Dev and Quality ?
Maybe you don't have the necessary rights to see or modify an existing query.
It seems that your query already exists in Prod, but check it anyway in table RSZCOMPDIR.
Put the technical name of your query in the field COMPID.
You will see if it is active.

In webdynpro abap , the ui layout is not visible. please read query fully

hi , in webdynpro abap , the UI Layout is not visible.
I did some settings .
1) in SICF t-code , i actvate the all services realted to http . i dont know which services properly need to webdynpro ui layout.
after activating those services, ui elements are coming . but when i am tryin to drag ui elemetns in to UILayout , it showing some error message. I am not able to drag ui elemetns to ui layout.
Please tell how to solve this problem.
1) if the solution is regarding ip address in host file, please guide me in depth step by step.
2) if the solution is realted to browser settings , please guide me in depth each step by step for settings in browser .

I had a similar problem..
if u hav a look at ur url you will come to know the following things:
<schema>://<host>.<domain>.<extension>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/<namespace>/<application name>
the same url can be traced in SICF.
Also u need to add the server ip/domain name in the advanced tab in lan settings so that it does go through the proxy..
