Global Contract

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me what a "Global Contract" is  and whether it exists or not?
I got an info from one of my friends that if we leave the plant field blank, a global contract can be created. When i tried to do so, i have to enter GL account and Cost center. So, it means, it is a global contract related to a particular GL Account and particular cost center. Does it sound any sense?
Please let me know if any one uses such a contract.
Thanks

Hi SK,
Global Contract means a contract, which is available for all your purchasing organisations and plants. For this you have to create the contract with respect to Reference purchase organization.Reference purchase organization is an organization, all purchasing organizations are assigned to reference purchase organization, but it is not assigned to any one. It means it is available for all plants
hope this will clear your doubt .PLEASE ASSIGN THE POINTS.

  • Global contract and scheduling agreements

    Hi,

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
In my scenario, i need to create the contract independent of company codes and release the orders against the company codes.
I created a central purchasing organisation (did not assigned to any company codes), but while creating the contract, system is asking for the company code to enter saying that, the purchasing org.  XXXX
not been assigned to a CoCode. Please enter a company code.
Please help me on this issue.

  • Global contract - company code issue

    H Experts,
We have setup a reference purchasing organization to be able to create global central contracts that is independent of company code and plant.
We only define plant once we do the release order againt global contract.
However whenever we create the central contract using the reference purchasing organization, the system will not proceed unless we define a company code. Please let me know how we can avoid the Pop up message u201CThe Purchasing organization XXXX has not been assigned to a company code. Please enter a company code.u201D
    Please suggest.
    Regards,
    AG

    Dear Avinash,
Below seeting you have to do according to your requirement
1 You have to assign the reference purchasing org to the compony code
2 Assign your purchasing org to reference purchasing  org
3 assign reference purchasing org to plant
Then on the basis of all above validation you can take advatage of Contract and  also info record and  materil coz  when you create a Vendor you create  a vendor in combination of Purchasing org  and compony code but not reference P. org, so doing above seeting you will validate all data

  • SRM 4.0: distributing contracts to legacy backend

    Hello!
I am programmer fairly new to SRM. At the moment I am trying to figure out how to distribute purchasing contracts from SRM to legacy via XI. There is apparently no XML ouput option in 4.0.
By reading docu I have found one possible way I think, and I just wanted to run it by you to see if it is doable at all.
I was thinking I can use the build in functionality to create the contract in a R/3 backend system. Using the BADI BBP_CTR_BE_CREATE, which actually just creates an IDoc (or?) and the BBP_DETERMINE_LOGSYS I could just route it to XI instead of R/3.
Do you experts see any reason why this would not work?
    Any help appreciated!
    Thanks
    Nam

    Hi Nam,
to replicate CTR from standlone SRM, you should use the BADI DOC SAVE to trigger the replication process.
In this BADI you can use contract transfer function (BBP_PD_CTR_TRANSFER), but you will get blocked by standard design:
    - SRM local contracts are transfered to CCM via XI if the corresponding flag is set in contract header
    - SRM global contracts are transfered to R/3 via IDOC (in fact an RFC call out of SRM, creating IDOCs directly in R/3: no outbound IDOCs in SRM) if they are global (normal...)
So you should develop your own transfer function, re-using parts of BBP_PD_CTR_TRANSFER (especially META_CTR_TRANSFER that could be a good starting point to pass data to XI via an RFC call).

  • Mm contract

    Hi ,
I have created one global contract with one vendor in ME31k. I put net price as 1500 USD. My agreement type is MK. after creation when i moved to dislpay that contract, i found net price is o,oo at the initial screen but it is present in the item condition tab(1500 USD).
Can anybody please guide me why this happened??

    Hi,
We have 2 types of contracts 1. Quantity contract 2. Value Contract.
You have created a Quantity contract and in the initial screen what you see is a value limit for the contract ( which will be used for the value contracts ).
So when you go to the Item details you can find the net price.
What is Quantity contract: if the validity period is over or agreed quantity is supplied then this contract can be considered as closed.
What is Value contract: if the validity period is over or agreed value of the materials are supplied then this contract can be considered as closed.
So the value you see in the initial screen is related to the value contract.
I hope this information will help you.
    Thanks,
    Satya.

  • Central contract distribution in two backend ERP system

    Hello All,
I am implementing SRM 7.0 Contract management (SAPKIBKV07) with two backend ERP system.
We have a requirement where we will create a Global contract in SRM system. Upon distribution based on purchase organisation this contract should get distributed to two different backend system.
Q-1) Is this a standard featutre available with Contract management or de we need set up some configuration. If yes,  then please let me know the details.
Q-2) Again here the master data for both the backend system is not synchronised hence if a Global contract in created in SRM system and distributed to two different countries then each contract in ERP should have the region specific vendor code ?
How this functionality can be achieved.
    Thanks,
    Yatin

    Hello All,

  • How replicate a Contract froma SAP SRM to SAP ECC

    Hi all,
I created a Global Contract on SRM system. Is there a way to replicate it to SAP ECC? Is there also a way to associate it to an existing Contract in SAP ECC system?
    Thanks very much, Regards,
    Maria

    Hi,
    1. The backend system should be defined (SAP R/3) in your  Technical Settings (SPRO) and RFC destination to R/3 system should be configured
    2. Then the Message Type BLAORD needs to be configured in ALE/IDoc settings.
Plz refer this thread for more info:
    Problem with contract
Once this is done, all GOA created inSRM will be replicated to SAP R/3 system.

  • Doubts in Contract Hierarchies!

    Hi Guys..How are you?
I'm a doubt in Contract Hierarchies. I need help..
For example: if I set the indicator in customizing to activate this function (Contract Hierarchies). Can I cancel this configuration in the future?
Once activated this configuration all contracts that I create in SRM should be associated the hierarchy? or can I be creating contracts without this association?
Other one about the functionalty of the global purchasing contracts, can I be creating a global contract involving several companies of the same client in SRM? How this replication will be done is in R/3 using the classical extended scenario?
    Thanks...

As far as I know there is no issue reverting this customizing, but please check the documentation associated to the customizing point

It is only an additional optional function, you still be abble to create contract out of hierarchies

  • Contract -Pricing

    Hello all,
We have a scenario in which we have to maintain a Rate Matrix in the Contract. How can we map this requirement.
As far as I know we can maintain only one price for an line item.
How to maintain the matrix in the Contract so that the value flows in the Order based on the value maintained in the Contract.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Karthik.

    Hi Guravjit & Mahesh,
I think you have not understood the question. The issue is not of Copy Control, the values flow into the subsequent record as per the Rates maintained in the Condition record.
But my question is the case of what you can call a National or Global Contract which will have a Matrix of prices for one Material which should be visible in the Contract maintained in SAP.
eg.  The Price is dependent on the Route, Shipment Type, Material.
As the Route is decided only during the delivery, so the Pricing will reflect on the Delivery document or Billing document. But since we have these rates predefined in Contract , it should be reflected in the Contract document itself.
I think the Scenario is clear now. Can we show all the pricing in the Contract or do we have to develop some Z-Program or some user-exit for the same.
    Regards,
    Karthik.

  • GOA distribution to backend- Multiple companies

    Hello,
I am distributing a GOA from SRM to ECC. There is one purchasing organization and several company codes in the backend. There is no assignment of company code to Purchasing Organization. In ECC when the IDOC is processed, the pop up to enter the company code appears and the IDOC processing fails. I can clearly see on the IDOC log that the failure is due to the pop up as the error in WE02 refers to the screen number of the pop-up. So I assigned a purchasing organization to a company code in ECC and the problem is resolved temporarily. My question is what is the best way to resolve this issue permanently?
Ideally we would not like to create multiple contracts in ECC and create a global contract in ECC. If this is not possible in ECC, what is the best way to split the GOA into one contact each for each company code ( I am aware of the BAdI for this)? What about issues like the material not extended to the plant etc in the backend?
Any insights will be very helpful.
    Regards,
    Bejoy Narayana

    Hi Bejoy,
I had the same issue and it can be solved like this:
The Company Code is not part of the Interface for the Contract Idoc in R/3.
Use R/3 Badi BBP_CTR to derive the company code from the plant used on item
level and fill the segment for the company code on header level of the Idoc.
As there also can be the case, that there are several company codes
possible, you need to define a logic, which company code should be entered
    into the Idoc Segment.
    Thanks,
    Claudia
