Global setting for decimal notation setting?

Experts:
Where can I set the decimal notation for all users? Is there a global default setting for this?
I need to display numbers as xxx,xxx,xxx.xx.
Each individual user can set this in their Maintain User Profile -->Default settings.
But I need to have the system default for EVERY user to xxx,xxx,xxx.xx.
Your assistance will be rewarded.
Thanks

  • How to do setting of  decimal notation and arithmatic and character note

    Hi colleagues
    I do have one problem
And the following setting tried in SAP netweaver so do not give any hint for Netweaver
The problem is stated as follows
in output type in Germany they use , instead of . the dot signifies point that is .
and we use , as a seperator in means suppose we have to write 2000 we write like wise means as per our requirement whether we need to mention 2.000 or 20.00 but in germany they use comma ,
so in output type display point the problems are increasing and they are not getting solved.
so it is the question of compatibility
what went wrong i am unable to understand
is there is any significance of country specific setting of decimal notation
or any thing need hint towards the same.

    Hi
For your output type assign a smartform and in the smartfrom write the program that the decimals should come like , instead of . then your requirement can be fulfilled
Also check in OY04 wheather you can maintain or not

  • Is the Decimal Notation Setting based on the country of the vendor?

I would like to ask help with regards to an error which i encountered when I Print Preview a Purchase Order Document via Transaction ME23N.
Within the Print Program, the Decimal Point setting is normal ( for example 2.90, 192.97, 1,903.00 , etc.), but when the value is passed on to the SAPscript Form the Decimal Point setting is incorrect ( for example 2,90 , 192,97 , 1.903,00). This error is only observed on a single Vendor being used in the creation of the PO.
I would like to confirm if indeed the settings for Decimal Notation is based on the settings being used in the specific country of the vendor.
I hope anyone can help me out with this one. Reward points up for grabs.

    Hi
In my case in sapscript while printing total for JPY is for three decimals but after calculating it used to take two decimals & leave one decimal to left ex as below.
    FOB : 100.000
    Freight: 10.00
Total  : 1000.00 (In figures One Hundered & Ten Only).
here in sapscript program this decimal notation was given for two hence it was going to left side we correct it to three decimal notation.
kindly check with script & you can fix it there.

  • Setting Default Decimal Notation with ISA User Admin

    Hello all,
I have been trying to find out how I can select a default decimal notation when creating users via ISA User Admin.  My client wishes the default notation to be 1,234,567.89.
    In advance, many thanks

    Thanks for your response.
The problem is that customers will be creating their own users via Web Based User Management.  Currently the only way we can amend the decimal notation is via SU01.  This, then, would have to happen for every user because the default notation is not the one we require.  My question is - is there a way of setting the default decimal notation for each user so we do not need to manually amend each user in SU01.
    Thanks,
    Jon

    Hi,
    Please try FM C14N_NUMERIC_FORMAT.
    or try this.
    data: c(100) type c.
    data: length type i.
    data: offset type i.
    c = '1223,54'.
    length = strlen( c ).
    offset = length - 3.
    translate c+offset(1) using ',.'.
    write:/ c.

  • Decimal Notation settings

    Dear Community,
I would like to know if is it possible use on SAP  the " . " key of the numeric keyboard as a " , " symbol like we use on MS Excel by regional settings done on Control Panel of windows OS. In excel If I press the " . " on numeric keyboard we get  a " , " by regional settings as I said.
I have set my User profile / own data / Decimal Notation with 1.234.567,89 but doesn't work.  Also, our "Country global parameter" (OY01) decimal foramt, is set as 1.234.567,89
The regional settings on Windows OS is set for decimal notation as 1.234.567,89  but SAP always get the " . " key of the numeric keyboard as a ". " not like the desired " , ".
Could anybody help me with this?
    Regards
    Scottie

    Hi Nils,
Thanks for your reply. I have checked on Control Panel / Regional Settings / Regional options / customize your own format is set with our language (country), so number notation is: 123.456.789,00.
On MS Excel I can check this settings is working OK, so on numeric keyboard part, if I push the "." key, on Excel we get an "," symbol instead "." so regional settings is working ok ouside SAP.
On SAP, on menu System / User Profile / Own Data / Default sheet / Logon Language and Decimal notation is set like 1.234.567,89  ,as Control Panel on Windows OS but when I push on numeric keyboard part the "." key we get the same symbol "." instead desired ",".
We are using SAPGUI 720 patch 6 but we have tested with SAPGUI 710 patch 19 with same wrong result.
If I change as you told me on SAPGUI the decimal notation to 1,234,567.89 works ok because get the "." as decimal format, but we need to use "," symbol.
What could be the reason for this?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards

  • PO print preview displays incorrect setting in decimal places

    Dear Experts
Please help me on the following condition.
I have a problem in print preview of a PO. It displays the incorrect setting for decimal place in currency.
It shows USD 1.404,00 whereby the amount should be USD 1,404.00
This only happens to a certain vendor that is doing PO for the first time from that country
    Example:
I'm creating a PO for vendor 123. Vendor 123 is located in country A. No PO has been created for any
vendor in country A before. When I saved my PO, in print preview, the decimal setting is not correct.
But when I'm creating another PO, for vendor 234. Vendor 234 is located in country B. There have been
several POs created for vendors in country B before. When I saved my PO, in print preview, the decimal
    setting is correct.
Both vendor 123 and vendor 234 is using currency of USD.
Is there any other setting with the vendor master in regard with the currency decimal setting for each
country for the vendor? Or something that I've missed out?
    Diagnosis:
I've checked with the user profiles->default-> decimal notation. It displays 1,234,567.89 correctly
I've also run OY04, but the decimal setting is correct.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Syukri

this has nothing to do with print preview, it is just basic country setting (OY01) how a quantity and value is written on a PO to a vendor is country xyz.
German uses to comma to seperate decimals, while USA uses the point to seperate decimals
this would be the German version 1.404,00, and this the US version:: 1,404.00
so if an American sends a PO to a German vendor, then the document will show 1.404,00 so that the German can understand that he wants 1404. (and not 1000 times less)

  • Reg : Interchange in decimal notation.

    Hi Experts,
We have 1 client 110 for development 210 for testing and its a cross client for 110.
We have one more client 300 for Testing and then client 400 production System.
I am facing problem in Client 300.
As in client 110 we have developed a program and tested in 210 Cross Client of 110 For testing. I have received a Perfect decimal Notation for amount.
But when i transport the same program to test in 300 Client it interchanges the Decimal notation(i.e Instead of showing 3,015.25 it shows me 3.015,25)
this problem Occurs in 300 Client only but not in 210 client where we have tested our data before sending it to client 300.
I have checked OY01 and SU3 both where we can set the decimal notations in Client 300 in which i am facing the problem.
This is an Implementation project. As according to me if its working fine in client 210 then same program should work in client 300. So kindly let me know all the possible solution which can be done for this from configuration (Functional) Side.
So kindly let me know As soon as Possible what should i need to do to achieve the same in client 300.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Swapnil.

    Dear,

Please let me know as its very very urgent...
    Thanks in advance,
