Thanks
Pavan.

Hi Pavan,
May be you would like to place your request in SAP GTPMspecific forum.
SAP GTM is solution for Logistics Trading while  SAP GTS is  solution for trade compliance..
In brief i can tell about GTM
SAP GTM is an ERP Based solution meant for companies which are mainly into Global
Operation.SAP GTM is an Add-On to R/3/ECC.
The goal Of SAP GTM is to increase the efficiency of the supply chain through close
integration of all its elements. It is an application which consolidates informationacross logistics, accounting and settlement.
SAP GTM works with two other solutions dedicated to specific needs of commercial
companies:
SAP GTS ( Global Trade Services )  and SAP FSCM ((Financial Supply chain Management)
The Basic document in SAP GTM is trading contract which links the necessary data concerning the purchasing process, sales process and accounting information and offering a detail insight into every single transaction from the purchase order,
through delivery until the receipts of goods and settlements. GTM stands in the middle of SD and MM and provides u2018Integrated Order Processingu2019,u2018Flexible Logistics Scenarios Toolu2019 and u2018Strategic Buy or Sellu2019 functionality.

  • RFC destination not defined for SAP global trade services

    HI friends,
I have created a delivery against a sales order. Maintained the storage location and the picking quantity for the item.
Now trying to post the goods issue but system is giving short dump and error message says:
"RFC destination is not defined for SAP global trade services"
We are not using SAP global trade services module and no IDocs are involved in the process.
    Please help
    Thanks in advance
    Veer

    Hi Mohit,
    Thank you for replying.
It was not an issue with RFC destination but to do with transfer of outbound delivery processes to SAP global trade services.
As we were not using global trade services, we had to deactivate the transfer of data from SD application to global trade services.
The settings are under IMG>SD>foreging trade>SAP global trade services-plug-in> control data transfer to SAP global trade services
    Deactivate all the activities.
Now this issue has been resolved.
    Thank you again for replying.

( PLEASE CORRECT ME , IF I AM WRONG. BUT ANYWAY I WANT TO KNOW THE BUSINESS PROCESS OF GTS. SO PLZZ HELP)

    Manu,
To find the answer that works best for you, also take a look at some of the other threads in this GTS forum where similar questions were asked.
A good point to start is the SAP Library: http://help.sap.com/saphelp_gts72/helpdata/en/b1/8dc5c62c885046ab71fdcddc6ad2c2/frameset.htm
If your company owns a GTS license you will also be able to download the GTS implementation guides from the SAP Marketplace.  The implementation guides will provide step-by-step instructions for setting up GTS.
In the Procure-to-pay process GTS would typically be used for sanctioned part list screening of the vendor and other business partners and to handle import license processing, duty determination and creation of import documentation.  SAP-GTS also contains standard interfaces to clear imports electronically with the customs authorities in several countries in Europe and the US.

Re: Getting dump MESSAGE_TYPE_X while posting in MIGO

  • No defineded RFC destination for global trade service----urgency!!!!

how can i resolve this problem for [<b>STOP]</b> Message, just on one sever, not connect any other R/3 system, when i execute mb1c,input  a material information, and try to save the input messages , the system pop up the [<b>stop</b>] error:
<b> no defineded RFC destination for global trade service</b>
    my system enviroment is:
        win2003 server + db2 8.2 + sap ecc5

    Hi,
When you post an R/3 material document, the processing terminates with a system message indicating that no RFC destination has been maintained for Global Trade Services GTS.
This system message is unjustified since SAP GTS has not actually been activated.
This is caused by a program error.
Please read the notes-825448, and do the necessary corrections.
    Hope this helps you out.

    SLL_PI_SD0A_TRANSFER

  • Global Trade Services for Logistics/Shipping companies

Hi, I am researching on functionality of SAP GTS and its relevance to operations of a Logistics Service Provider / Shipping Company.
    1) How relevant will this product be to a Logistics/Shipping company.
    2) Would like to know if anyone has implemented this product for such companies and what is the typical/average time to implement ?
    3) Any idea on license cost for GTS ?
    Thanks,
    Pradeep

    Hi Pradeep,
I must say that your questions seem so "general" you may have difficulty getting satisfactory details in the answers.  But let's try anyway.
The main reason that GTS is not highly relevant to the type of logistics/shipping company (3PL ?)  that you are talking about is that the shipper (US Principal Party of Interest) is ultimately responsible for compliance with legal regulations.  Since that cannot be 'delegated', many are reluctant to allow a 3PL to own and maintain the system that controls the compliance activities.  Instead, what some opt to do is implement GTS with their enterprise systems (SAP or non-SAP) and allow the 3PL employees to log into their GTS systems through VPN to conduct various shipping activities and print certain forms relevant for export.  Having worked for a 3PL in the past, I can also say that I don't believe many of them are interested in "owning" GTS as a tool.
There is a company that "hosts" GTS systems and you simply pay a monthly fee to use it.  This setup might be more interesting to you and maybe to the 3PL you are talking about.
There is no "typical" time to implement GTS.  Because it is such a robust and flexible system with so many functionalities related to global trade, an implementation could range from weeks to years.  You will get a better answer to question #2 if you provide details of the functionality you need.  Santioned Party List screening?  Export License Control?  Trade Preference?  Risk Management?  Customs Imports?  Customs Exports?  Intrastat Reporting?  Letter of Credit?
Only SAP or a certified SAP reseller will be able to give you an accurate idea of the cost for your GTS license.  It depends upon how much of the system you will implement and in some cases, the volume of data flowing through.
    Cheers !

  • SMSY entries for GTS (Global Trade Services) system

We configured RCA for our Solution Manager v7.01 ehp1 sp06. All of our
systems are showing Change Analysis data except for our GTS system.
I need to find the proper entries in SMSY and why it is not extacting
change analysis data. Im suspecting its the product definition for the GTS IN SMSY...
    Our GTP system is GTS 7.0 NW7.0 sp19. I created a product
This is my current Product Def in SMSY:
SAP Global Trade Services->GTD (GTS 7.0) , Main Instance = SSLLEG
SAP Netweaver -> GTD (NW7.0), Main Product=Application server ABAP
Is this correct? How come I have no data in Change Analysis? Is there any step-by step guide for GTS landscape definition?

    Hi There
The product listed in this SAP note  1010428   is only supported by the RCA .  If it does fall under that note
then please refer to this SAP Note  1036695

  • Global Trade Services

    Hi
Is Global Trade Services part of standard SAP ERP or does it involve separate licencing? Reason I am asking is that I do not see in our IDES, any transaction menu for SAP GTS but I see the nodes in SPRO for SAP GTS. What can be the reason for this?
    Regards
    Sriram

    Hi
    Your Question :
Is Global Trade Services part of standard SAP ERP or does it involve separate licencing?
    Answer :
Yes . GTS is a separate stand alone system(like BI) requires separate licencing.

  • Configuration Guide for Global Trade Service Business Package

    Hello,
Can anyone provide me with the link where I can download the installation/cofiguration guide for the Business Package for Global Trade Service.
    Regards
    Deb

    Hi Deb,
in SAP Note 963735 you will find a description how to obtain product documentation for GTS.
<i>You can access the product documentation on SAP Service Marketplace at service.sap.com/swdc -> Download -> SAP Installations and Upgrades -> Entry by Application Group -> SAP Application Components -> SAP Global Trade services (GTS) -> SAP GTS <Release> -> Installation and Upgrade.
Note that access to the SAP GTS product documentation is subject to a software license audit. You can only follow the listed navigation steps in the path specified above if you have a current license for SAP GTS. If you do not have a product license for SAP GTS Version >3.0, the entry 'SAP Global Trade Services (GTS)' is missing from the link list under SAP Application Components, which prevents you from navigating further if you lack the appropriate authorization. If you have a valid SAP GTS product license, you can access the contents for the release for which you have the license.</i>
    Best regards,
    Martin

  • Global Trade Management (GTM)

    Hi All,
Our company is considering GTM for the purpose of registering logistic global trade in SAP ERP2005. We have a few questions in advance. Since GTM isn't widely discussed at SDN this would be a great topic to enlighten some (basic) issues.
1a) In my opinion, GTM can create trading contracts on purchasing side, sales side, or both combined. How does a trading contract technically looks like? Are these seperate MM/SD contracts linked together in GTM reference tables or are these contracts stored in dedicated GTM tables?
1b) Are created 'assosiations' saved in the EKKO VBAK tables under a seperate document type?
    2) Secondly, is BW intergration needed? If so, what reporting functionality relies on this connection.
    3) Thirdly, what is the fundamental basis of GTM? Is it based on the coverage of purchasing or sales commitments? Or does it have its roots in the financial trade position a company is in, and that its mutual obligations are the basis of GTM?
    4) A specific issue we manage to resolve is the fact that it is common in our business to settle trade deals. This one settlement counts for the whole chain of suppliers/customers. That way, it is possible that the result of a purchaseorder becomes a negative value. It is common practice that the receiving party bills the other party. So we need to make sure it is possible to bill suppliers (from MM). Any thoughts on this topic?
Any feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.
    Greetings,
    Ivo Voeten

Link of a GTM blog by NOB
    /people/nobuhiro.kusumoto/blog/2008/07/22/sap-global-trade-management-gtm
-->yes GTM creates a trading contracts..which can be both sided (SD & MM) or single sided.  when we release a trading contract it generates its follow-on documents..whih is standard PO and SO.
tables for Trading contract data--> WBHK, WBHI, WBHF, WBHD...
--> there is a table WBGT which stores the consolidated data..means it stores the trading contract data and its foolow-document data... like trading contract, its purchase order, its sales order, inbound delivery, outbound delivery, goods receipt..
what all document will be created is dependent on the action classes assigned to it in the customization---
Transaction to customization is WB2B_CUS. here you can activate whether all the data should go to WBGT or not...and many more things...infact every thing..this is the custommization ransaction for GTM..
--> NO idea about its BW linkage..
--> i don't think that its stores the association data in the tbales you mentioned... it follow its own tables and might be for some type of data GTM do read the other tables data to avoid the redundancy of data.
--> fundamentally GTM is basically for traders..those to take goods from one organisatio and supplies it to other.. yes that contracts link the purchaser and the seller with an intermediater in between who uses this GTM..
--> it also have a strong features of expenses..which can be planned in advance while creating the contract..
that contract is not for the seller or for the purchaser but its the data record for the intermediter or broker of that deal.
i am not clear with your questions..and i have specifically working on expenses side of the GTM...
if you still have any question do post...if i found your question...will answer as appropriate i can..
    hope it helps you
    thanks

  • Global Trade Service Training

    Hi,
kindly help me where can I find a Classroom Training for Global Trade Service.
basically I am new with GTS System.
    Thanks.
    Iris Silvan

    Hi Iris
The SAP GTS component is under the GRC space in SCN (though it does not seem very active). The following document was published back in 2012 SAP BusinessObjects Global Trade Services (GTS)
In relation to training, you can look at the SAP training site for your country via https://training.sap.com/g/en to search for available courses relating to GTS - you will find GTS100 for the overview and GTS200 for configuration - both as classroom training.
Have a look at the courses and then contact your local SAP training office for bookings if none are available for your country. Alternatively, if you have funding for training but cannot find a classroom option there are online ones or SAP Learning Hub
    Regards

  • What is Global trade Service (GTS)?

    All SAP Gurus,
What is  Global trade Service (GTS)?
Is it a module in SAP?
    Regards,

    Hi
SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) automates global trade processes and enables you to manage large numbers of business partners and high volumes of documents, while also helping you to comply with changing legal regulations. It facilitates global trade by providing you with the tools you require to respond to governments modernizing their systems and to customs authorities communicating electronically with businesses.
SAP GTS also helps you to avoid costly delays in your import and export processes and allows you to respond quickly to global business opportunities, while mitigating financial risks.
SAP GTS is based on SAP NetWeaver technology and can be connected to both SAP and non-SAP feeder systems.
