Glossary "add term" NOT working. Please advise.

I am using the cookbook template to create a book. I ran into a problem, while using it. The scrollable list of ingrediants that exists by default I changed to my own ingrediants and when I attempted to add terms from there to the glossary, it won't let me. The ADD TERM button remains greyed out no matter what I do. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? I absolutely NEED to add terms to the glossary from the ingrediants list. Please advise. Wanted to add for clarity - The issue has to do something with the SCROLLING SIDEBAR widget. I can add text boxes and add them to the glossary but they dont scroll inside the widget. If I just type in text inside the widget, it doesnt want to add to the glossary.....Im at an impasse....Any suggestions?

Could you check your system profiler for graphics, and post the model of the card that you have? The stock card is the Rage 128 with the following specs:
-ATI RAGE 128 Pro graphics card with 16MB of SDRAM graphics memory installed in a dedicated AGP 2X graphics slot
-Support for up to 1920– by 1200–pixel resolution at 32 bits per pixel (millions of colors)
-Apple Display Connector (ADC); carries analog and digital video, USB, and power
-15–pin mini D–Sub VGA connector
You say you have a DVI port (along with ADC) so, I want to clarify the card model.
You also state that the display worked once- in what configuration? Connected alone? Through the Dr. Bott's DVIator? That means from the DVI port to an ADC connector on the screen (but the 22" is a DVI connection)?
I found the following quote on the Dr. Bott's page:
However, the ATI Rage 128 card will not work with the 20", the 22" and the 23" Cinema Displays
To clear up confusion (mine), please carefully check your profiler, compare the ports of your card to the Display compatibility link (in above post), and let me know the results (what you have), along with a description of what connects to what. A model number for the display would also help.
Generally speaking, when a display goes black after the gray screen, the graphics card isn't compatible, or the necessary software/drivers are not installed.

Quicktime simply does not work, please advise!

Howdy folks,
There must be something wrong with my Macbook Pro Version 10.6.2, perhaps its too old to allow QuickTime to work? Maybe I need to buy another Macbook thats more up to date?
When I open QuickTime player from the Applications folder, it appears in my dock, but nothing else happens. There is no window that actually allows me to do anything with QuickTime. This could be normal, but I am not sure.
I've been trying to play this movie: http://club2009.upa.org/videos/open-finals for a while now and all that happens is the QuickTime logo appears where the video should be playing. I followed the link at the bottom that says something like 'Problem viewing videos? Download latest QuickTime player'. So I downloaded the latest QuickTime player from the site and during the installation, this message appears:
'QuickTime can't be installed on this disk. This version of QuickTime 7 can't be installed on this disk because QuickTime X is already present. Please us Software Update to install the appropriate version of QuickTime for your Mac.'
This is quite frustrating. Please help!

It's a huge file but it opens and works for me when I copy/paste the URL (above) into the Open URL dialog window of QuickTime X and 7.6.6 (requires Snow Leopard 10.6.3).
Run Software Update on your machine.

Look at the page I linked to. It's possible it's out of date, but just because they have LTE does NOT mean that they currently support LTE on the iPhone.
IF they do, the question becomes 'where EXACTLY' did you get the phone?
If it came from another region, for example, the US, it may not be compatible with the LTE network you're trying to use.

Certain symbol fonts installed but not working, please advise

I'm trying to edit an entire website in Flash that uses Zapf Dingbats font symbols. I had upgraded my computer since last working on the website and had not re-installed the font, so I did so with my copy of the font suitcase. FontBook installs and displays it correctly, but no applications on my Mac will display the font properly—when I select it, I just get regular alphabetic characters. I tested some other fonts and found another that does the same thing: Apple Symbols, which was pre-installed on my computer. I tried restarting to no avail.
What could be causing these fonts not to work properly? Thanks in advance!

Oh thank you so much for this tip! It does work to insert symbols from all the various fonts that offer them, but it doesn't explain why one can no longer choose Dingbats from the font menu and type the various characters, nor why all my Zapf Dingbats symbols in all my Flash animations now show up as "+" symbols (and Flash warns me that Zapf Dingbats is not installed on my system when opening the files, even though it is).
However, your tip has allowed me to find the symbol I need in Pages, then copy and paste it into Flash. I will have to replace dozens and dozens of instance of this symbol in my Flash files, but at least it works!

Microsoft Excel 2013 add-in not working after update

We are an organization with over 200 users and are currently using Microsoft Office 2013 (Click-to-run install via Office 365 portal), we have noticed that in Excel when we apply the monthly Office update, the add-in (e.g. Analysis Toolpak) would stop working
with the following error message displayed.
I tried updating from 15.0.4631.1004 to 15.0.4641.1003,
15.0.4641.1003 to 15.0.4649.1004, they all gave the same results.
I have checked the captioned file path and it is indeed missing, I think the update mechanism messed up the add-in somehow, a full re-install would fix it as quick or online repair is not doing the trick. This is not the only add-in it is affecting
as there are some 3rd party add-ins are affected as well.
Please advise how we can fix this without needing to re-install Microsoft Office. Thank you!

I don't have 365 or C2R so I can't address your main question, so just a few thoughts which may not be applicable in your setup.
Check the addin manager to see if your addins are listed and ticked. If listed (ticked or not) check the registry to see where the location is written, if ticked look here
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Excel\Options
and look for keys named OPENx, where x is the order number the addin is loaded
if not "ticked" instead of \Options look in \Add-in-Manager
With a VBA macro or in the VBE's immediate window return
Application.LibraryPath
Assuming you found a listing in the registry do the paths match, if not look in the .LibraryPath to see if the addins got unloaded there into the subfolder \Analysis
If you find the file(s) try un-installing and reinstalling the addins, but browse to the actual folder don't simply tick. If you can't find the files, copy them (from a different system) to the folder indicated by .LibraryPath. In the addin manager uninstall
them if installed, close the manager, open it again and the addins should be listed, tick to re-install.
You say your other addins don't work, I wonder if some mixup has occurred with what Excel thinks is the default path, but note for other addins the default addins path is returned by app.UserLibraryPath

I would imagine your iPhone was hacked to make it work on your local carrier.
Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply

Xfa.sourceset.dataconnection.add() is not working

Hello All,
I am trying to insert data into database using "xfa.sourceset.dataconnection.add()" as shown in tutorial. However, the value is not inserted into DB and the PDF file is not throwing any errors.
I did try update, last, first, etc., all the function are working but only add is not working.
Can anyone please tell me where I am wrong?
FYI -I have change the dataconnection name to the name that I am using for dataconnection so this is not a problem.

Hello Viral,
     To reader extend your form you have two options..
     One option is using Adobe Acrobat Pro which can provide only a subset of Reader Extensions (locally saving and Digitial Signatures).
     Attached image show you the menu option in Acrobat PRO to Reader extend the form..
     Other option is by purchasing a Reader Extensions service component from Adobe and use it at the time of rendering in the Livecycle Server.
     This option provide the full Reader Extensions functionality(things like commenting, Database and web service access, etc..).
     since in your case you are trying with the Database connections, can you try with the second option.

Thanks for the support but I had already tried this . Again did it as you advised. Still not able to connect the ipad mini with Bluetooth.
Could it be that some app is causing issue. I can connect my car and computer over Bluetooth but not ipad mini.
On the other had ipad is connecting to other iPhone but only not mine.
Still showing ipad not supported message. And also shows not paired.

It sounds like you’re running into an issue unlocking your iPhone because Touch ID and passcode aren’t being accepted.

I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

If you are running Lion or Mountain Lion, the drivers are downloaded from within Bootcamp Assistant. If you are running Snow Leopard the drivers are on your Snow Leopard install disk.
