Glowing white screen, reset not working
my IPod touch won't respond to anything, I have browsed thru lots of help pages but nothing works. I have a white glowing screen on my ipod touch and it won't hard reset, it won't connect to itunes on my computer, nothing happens or works. what do I do now? is it broken?
First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

ITunes Store 10.5 white screen issue, not working
So I've had zero issues running the iTunes store on my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit prior to the 10.5 update, and now all I get is a white screen. I can connect to the Store from my iPhone, iPod Touch, and laptop running Windows XP Professional with the SAME version of iTunes. I tried clearing out iTunes based on other discussions I've seen, IN ORDER, twice, and reinstalling. No dice. I've cleared my hosts file...same issue.
The weird thing is that I can update Apps in iTunes on my PC, which connects to the Store and downloads just fine. I've made zero changes to my network router, port range filtering, and the Windows Firewall has always been disabled. I don't understand how every other device aside from my PC can connect to the Store on my wireless network, but not my PC all of a sudden. I've even tried logging in as the Administrator and clearing out my Local, LocalLow, and Roaming profile of anything related to Apple and iTunes after uninstalling iTunes and rebooting...no change.
Something is wrong with this version running on Windows 7, period, and it needs fixed. I can't redeem codes except on my iPhone and it's rather annoying.i have the same problem. the store works on my windows vista and my ipod touch just not on my windows 7. i sent a msg to support and they told me to delete itunes, check if there are any updates on my computer and then reinstall itunes but still dont work and i tried it several time and it is really starting to make me realy ****** off. it all started ever sence the last update. i thought this new update would work but still nothig at all.

White Screen - Troubleshooting not working.. help?
Well, my 4G iPod Touch just recently white screened on me. I was in the middle of using an app, and it froze and turned white. I've tried all the troubleshooting suggestions, but none of them worked. When I tried to connect it to my computer, iTunes didn't recognize the device was plugged in. The screen is sort of warm, and it emits light, so does that mean it's still working? And if so, if I wait until the battery dies, will I be able to just charge it again and have everything work okay? Any help is appreciated.
Yes. Wait for the battery to fully drain and then charge for an hour and try to get it to work and restore if necessary. Frequently a white screen is due t a hardware problem though.

It is fully charged, my comp does not recognize it, nor does iTunes. I have attempted the reset option (toggle the Hold on and off, then hold the center and menu button for 6-10 seconds) several times, both unplugged and plugged in. I have no idea what to do now.
Please, help meIf the battery is very low, you need to let it charge up a bit before you do anything with it.
Once it is charged up, try doing some of the troubleshooting described here:

Hi everyone,
I recently found out that my USB port, closest to my screen, is not working. Before I called Apple Care for help, I performed a PRAM and a SMC RESET, which unfortunately did not work. I called Apple Care and they help me troubleshoot simple resets such as, shutdowns and restarts. The representative I spoke with conluded that the physical hardware has an issue and must be brought to the Apple Store for a diagnosis. I called the Apple Store to at least budget the fee for getting a USB port fixed and it's about $300.00. I never dropped my macbook or had any sort tactile encounterment with hard surfaces by dropping or hitting. I don't understand how my macbook pro would be physically damaged. I then thought maybe my software was out of date (right now I am running 10.9 Mavericks) or I forgot to do the minor software updates, but I was at a lost again because my macbook is up-to-date. I searched for further help and found a way to monitor what's plugged into my usb ports. (I read in the apple forums that a girl had nothing in her usb ports, but upon looking at the System Information> Hardware> USB, that the macbook recognizes that there are drives in the ports) I looked at my ports; one is being used by wirless mouse (the port that works) and the other (the port that doesnt work) is being used by an "IR RECEIVER". Now, is the IR Receiver actually using that port and that's why my macbook cannot recognize other devices inserted into that port? Or is the IR RECEIVER suppose to be in that port and that the hardware for that port is simply damaged (which would mean I need $300.00 to get that fixed)? I know this is a lot, but someone help me?

"IR" is the standard abbreviation for "infrared," the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum used by remotes for many common devices (stereos, cable boxes, Apple TVs, etc.). The remote sends a coded stream of IR pulses; a corresponding receiver in the target device "sees" the infrared light and decodes it. The MBP's internal IR Receiver sends the received signals to the processor via USB through an internal hub.
The most recent MacBook Pros have dropped the IR receiver and no longer work with the Apple Remote. -

i bought an IPAD air (32 gb wifi only) from USA just one month ago and the screen is not working correctly(picture attached) and right now i'm in Egypt ,can i send my ipad to service in Egypt and the warranty will work in Egypt or what?
Have you tried a soft-reset to see if that fixes it ? You might be able to get warranty service in Egypt for your iPad, but the warranty includes :
IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
As it's wifi-only you should have a better chance of it being serviced under warranty, but there are no guarantees, it might depend upon the repairer.

My mini i pad 2 retina display screen is not work correctly after two days of buying appear some gray line on screen un furtunately i live in iran and i havnot access to any i pad store please guide me
Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.) No data/files will be erased. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430

<Email Edited by Host>Basic troubleshooting steps outline in the manual are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Try each of these in order until the problem is resolved. If you've been through all these steps and the trouble persists, you'll need to bring your phone to Apple for evaluation. Be sure to make an appointment first at the Genius Bar so you won't have a long wait.
