Gmail Contacts Synchronization Problem
Hi,
I used to use another gmail account which does not exist anymore, and my first 70 contacts that I added to my phone were synchronized with that gmail account. I now use this gmail account, and all the contacts I have added recently are synchronized with this gmail account.
I do not know how to make the contacts which are synchronized with the old non-existent account become synchronized with this current gmail account. How would I be able to do this?
Thanks
I would "think" that if you set up within DTM the second gmail account properly for syncing you shouldn't have a problem. I am assuming that you have deleted the prior account from your Blackberry and Desktop Manager. If you have ALL your contacts within your Blackberry when you sync to the new account the entre contact list should sync to the new gmail account.
I have done virtually the same with a yahoo acccount without issue and those contacts are now with my gmail account.
The Blackberry doesn't know or care which account a contact was synch'd to and DTM doesn't care that "some" contacts were sync'd to a different account.

Google Contact Synchronization Issue
When I configure a new gmail account on my device 8520 (OS 5.0.0.681) and choose contact sync option it works fine for few days but after that it stops. In options Wireless Synchronization status shows "Not Available" which I can not change also as it is disabled.
In order to enable it again the only option works is delete the account and configure it again which is a pain as I have to again create my filters which is a hectic work.
Any help on this issue will be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Sachin

Blackberry Tour Synchronization problem
I am new to this forum and have checked past posts but do not see this problem. I have a Tour 9630 and a couple weeks ago I lost all my info on the BB when I tried a few times to enter my password and it failed. I was able to restore everything and all seemed fine but now when I try to sync my device to the computer everything syncs except the contacts and calendar do not sync from the BB to the computer. All information syncs from the computer to the device.
I am using Outlook 2007 and only sync my calendar, contacts, notes and tasks. My email is not through OUtlook. The desktop manager is v5.0.1. Can anyone help? Thanks!!hask,
There are some optoins you can set for which direction to allow the synchronization. Attempt the following:
1) Within BlackBerry Desktop Manager, click on Synchronize
2) Under Configure, click on Synchronization and then click on the Synchronization button on the right hand side.
3) Highligh the application you are synch'ing
4) Click on Setup and choose the application its synch'ing to.
5) You will now have the ability to choose Direction of Synchronization.
Hope this helps,

Contacts Synchronization
I have hotmail as one of my email accounts on my BB. With that I am able to get my Windows Live Mail Contacts on my BB. I have never figured out what triggers the sync of the contacts. If I add or delete or edit a contact on my pc, in Windows Live Mail, it updates on my BB, but not immediately. Sometimes it's in a few minutes and other times it takes over 24 hours. I do have the proper box checked in Options for automatic wireless sync.
Recently I have edited contacts on my pc, but the edits have not updated on my BB, and I cant figure out why. Sync seems to have stopped. The automatic wireless sync box is still checked. Can anybody clarify this for me? Is there any way to trigger a sync of contacts?

Pearl 8130 Synchronization Problem
1. My Pearl 8130 has a funny (okay, odd, not funny) synchronization problem. The address book synchronizes okay, but during the address book synchonization process, the progress window, says wait a moment, then the progress bar (thermometer) and the entire progress window just go poof! and stop.
2. There's no error message or anything which would indicate that it wasn't a successful synchronization aside from the fact that the window doesn't come up to say X Items Changed, Accept, Re-Synch, etc.
3. I've already removed and re-installed the software. I've taken the phone to the local Sprint service center where the technician said that he had successfully removed and re-installed the address book data. (Although he did go into the other room, so he might have been pulling my leg.)
4. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?Mine has a different problem - it will begin to synch the calendar, then i get an MS error message that the Desktop manager has stopped working. no explanation. i talked to BB support and the only fix was to take out and put back in my battery. it workedfor two synchs and that's it.

Hi, when I sync my gmail contacts, any contact URLs will show upon my Z10 as http\:// instead of http://.
The extra backslash makes my urls unusable. It doesnt matter wether I store my url as www.x.com or as http://www.x.com in gmail, it always gets that extra backslash on my Z10 contacts.
This bug has been on all OS versions I have used, including 10.0.10.82, 10.0.10.99, 10.1.0.264, 10.1.0.273.
So hope someone reads this and fixes it, I just wana make BB10 flawless.
Thanks
WernerHello werwortmann,
Thank you for your question regarding Gmail contact synchronization on your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone.
Are you referring to websites you have added to the contact from Gmail Webmail? Do they appear on your BlackBerry Z10 under the website field in this manner?

Problem: Gmail + Contacts [Lumia 730]
Hi folks!
I am totally new on Windows Phone, so please excuse if my question is somehow stupid.
I have a problem with my Gmail on my Lumia. Reading the mails works just fine, however I can not send any mail. It just copies them in the outbox.
There is also a second problem concerning my Gmail contacts (I ticked the option to synchronize them). They have been imported but without their email addresses. So when I type the first letters of an email address he looks through my contacts and does not find anythning.
Is there any option to solve these problems?
Many thanks in advance!Hi, anti1986. Thanks for posting your concern on our community. Are you having a problem sending a message regardless of the connection you are using? Have you tried deleting, and resetting up your gmail account on the device by going to Settings>email+accounts>press and hold Google>delete? Does it make any difference? Let us know the outcome. We'll wait for your response.

Contact synchronization problem with Mercedes Audio 50 APS
It seems to be impossible to import iPhone contacts from Mercedes Audio 50 APS system embedded on my C Classe (W or S204 / july 2009) car.
The problem persists with upgraded iPhone from iOS 3.1.3 to iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G.
My Mercedes agent test with another iPhone's models: 3GS & 4 => the same problem occurs !
After a long search on MB web site (http://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com/fr/fr/s204/0/bt.compare.php), I fund the official answer: contact synchronization not supported !!!! Simply inconceivable on behalf of a "premium" car brand !!!!
Hereafter a screen copy of the (french version) MB web site...What a shame. It works just fine in my Kia.

An engineer level phone support tech told me there is currently no solution for Zeen (android OS tablet for eStation printer) not synchronizing with gmail Contacts (in spite of successful synchronization with gmail Calendar and Inbox). I plan to ask about this during the announced:

Having checked my blackberry 9800 and gmail account I have contacts in both that are not syncing, Email and calendar are working perfectly
any help please
JohnHello John,
Did you ever find any assistance on this issue? I have a similar issue as of the past two weeks and have attempted to resolve it differing ways but nothing seems to restart the synchronization of the contacts again?
I would be appreciative, if you see this note, if you let me know what you found for a solution.
Cheers,

Syncing Google Gmail Contacts with Address Book and iPhone Contacts
Can anyone recommend a good way to sync Google Gmail Contacts with the Address Book on the Mac and with Contacts on the iPhone?
I tried using ABGMerge, but could not get it to work so and am looking for other options. Thanks.
PowerBook G4, Macintosh 512K iPod nano (2nd Gen 8GB), iPhone (8GB)The Plaxo 3 non-pubic beta application currently supports only Mozilla and FireFox 1.5 and Internet Explorer 6. Safari support, and support for updated OS X thrid-party browsers, has not yet been released. To say that there are some anomalies and visual artifacts with Safari 2, would be an understatement. But, then, I often find this to be the case with beta—particularly, pre-public beta, software.
The current release—build 356—supports these 'sync points:'
• Mac OS X through a System Preferences pane
• AOL and AIM
• LinkedIn
• mobile access
• MSN and WIndows Live
• Outlook
• Outlook Express
• Windows Mail
• Yahoo
It does not yet support Google. Or, not yet reliably or completely. The little 'hippo' that pops up periodically in the beta says, "Google Calendar Sync has been temporarily disabled. We are working diligently to resolve the problem. Sorry for the inconvenience."
The verdict at the moment: contact synchronization performs as it always has with Plaxo. Calendar synchronization is clearly not yet ready for prime-time, even to the Plaxo 3 web interface itself. -
ITunes, iPhone 3g 3.0, Gmail Contact Synch Won't Accept Password
That's it.
Gmail contacts, I can log in and out all day long to gmail.com, so I know my password is correct.
When attempting to configure iTunes 8 to synch my iPhone 3g with gmail contacts, the password and login credentials error, "The Google password or ID was incorrect".
This is the first time I've tried to sync the phone since I got a new computer, if that makes any difference.
Anyone?
I found a post online that linked to a google captcha unlock, and the unlock succeeded, but didn't change the outcome in iTunes.
I can't use the Exchange ActiveSync method to sync gmail contacts because there's already and Exchange account on the phone (but I don't use it to synch contacts).
Help!I think I've figured this out.
Using another PC on a different network, which doesn't have a restrictive firewall, and the synch to Gmail contacts worked...
I didn't think it was a firewall problem, because in the original attempt, I even used Wireshark to sniff the network traffic for the synchronization traffic. I only saw http traffic to the google servers, and that's not restricted...so I must have missed something in the network trace, but my guess is that the firewall (a cisco 5500 series) was blocking the authentication traffic. Perhaps it uses imap or some other protocol besides http or https, which would have been allowed.
I also log all dropped traffic in a syslog, and didn't see any entries corresponding to the synch, but again, I may have missed something.
So, at any rate, it is now working and I'm pretty certain it was the cisco firewall policy that was the problem. -
How to sync bb/outlook/gmail contacts and calendar
i have a bb 9530 and outlook 2007 running on a 64-bit windows 7 pc. i use outlook to view my gmail. i also have the bb gmail app on my phone and that keeps email in sync between gmail servers and the phone as well as outlook since it is setup for an imap account. so that's all good.
the problem is that i need to know the best way to keep my contacts and calendar in sync as well. since i can't "imap" my gmail contacts and calendar, there are 3 different locations to sync for those.
also, the gmail sync app for outlook has alot of problems on windows 7 and 64-bit vista or 7 so that didn't work either.
any suggestions would be appreciated.
thanks... daveI have the same problem. Did you learn how to solve this?
Thanks,

I have another kind of problem with Firefox
== Description
==
In migrating from an XP PC to a new Win 7 PC, I downloaded Firefox to the new PC and it worked fine - got my Gmail contacts, calendar, etc. Later I used Micros Soft's Windows Easy Transfer to move data, profiles, etc to the new PC. Then could log onto Gmail but it would not show Contacts or Calendar. I then uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it - nohelp, then I did a system to Restore to before I did the Windows Easy Transfer - no help, then I manually moved my Firefox Profile from the XP machine - no help. BTW at least one other website does not display correctly: http://www.hollandamerica.com/main/Main.action. NOTE - through all this Internet Explorer has shown these sites correctly.

How do I sync phone contacts with (into) gmail contacts?
I'm using 3 different GMAIL accounts via my phone. Each GMAIL account (accessed via the web) has their own contact list. There are also some (many!) contacts that can only be accessed via my phone - that is, the information does not show up via web access in any of the three GMAIL accounts.
Is there a way to sync / export all phone contacts in to one particular GMAIL account?
I've tried Verizon Backup Assistant, but this did not fix the problem. I think all it did was back up (to backup assistant) about ~650 of my ~1700 contacts.
Many thanks!
Melissacertainly, export each contact list, #1, #2, #3, then import all 3 into the one email account you select & only have that gmail account doing the sync.
ba is limited to 1000 & only does phone numbers, email must be added manually.
fwiw:
i use both with ba as the primary but anything i enter into gmail contacts, on the pc, is on the phone immediately because i only sync contacts & calendar, gmail isn't my primary email.
