Gmail Integration

Hi,
We have a client that needs to send an opportunity (as an offer) via email to the customer. They (our client) use gmail as their email service. The idea is to integrate gmail into CRMOD to let it send emails to customers with offers as attachment.
Any idea? any Web Service that already does something similar?
Any help is welcomed!!

CRMOD has a published set of web services describing their capabilities. Probably a better questions is - What capabilities does Gmail have to call web services or other APIs available for integration?
You may end up needing to develop a proxy (servlet or intermediate web service) that can handle what Gmail might be able to send, translate it and call the proper web services on the CRMOD side.

Gmail integration does not work correctly

I always had a working integration of my Gmail account. eMails were sent using gmail.com, every sent eMail was saved in the "Sent" folder. Three weeks ago, sent eMails did not appear in the "Sent" folder anymore, and eMails were mailed by srs.bis.eu.blackberry.com, not by gmail.com, causing some eMail programs rating them as spam eMails. eMails were pushed immediately onto my handheld, as before. I tried on two different handhelds (Curve and Bold) with two different carriers (A1 and T-Mobile Austria), disintegrated and reintegrated the Gmail account, deleted the prior messages. Nothing changed.
Two times everything worked fine again for a few hours without making any changes.
Does anyone have the same problem, and is there a solution?

Hi Mithun,
There is no Add-In for Gmail as we have for Outlook and Lotus Notes in the current release of the system.
You can only integrate Gmail as you do for other email services:

You can also integrate Gmail via IFTTT to enable iOS Push Notifications:

Google Mail/Gmail integration for UCM?

Has anyone done, or given thought of how, to integrate checking in GMail to Content Server in a DIS like manner?

There is a problem with the N8 and Gmail (and google apps accounts too).
Mail for Exchange works fine to synch contacts, calendar and emails but replying to emails crashes the application. It doesn't on my E71/E72. As a workaround I have had to setup the same email account twice - once as a mail for exchange to sync contacts and calendar (disable email fetch, google server to use is m.google.com) - and the other as an IMAP for my emails. I am not at all happy with this but it will do for 1 more week after which the phone will be sent back if no solution is forthcoming from Nokia.
Using IMAP you can't have it set to soonest for retrieving emails. You must go in there and set it to 5 mins or longer. Then it will work. If you set it for soonest (i.e. push email) the client will not auto update until you open the email client. Settings for servers and secure ports using IMAP:

Edit: When setting up email by selecting Gmail, at the end of the setup process you should decline their terms and conditions . Doing so will create a direct IMAP connection with Google. If you accept the terms your emails will be routed through Nokia and then you will experience delays in deleting emails and will be restricted to sending a maximum attachement file size of 2MB.
These are all known issues and the biggest disappointed is that Nokia haven't once acknowledged it or told us when they might release a fix. Nokia should really be ashamed of their poor customer service.

Poor integration of gmail with universal inbox

Why isn't gmail integrated with the universal inbox? Why do I have to open gmail separately to see those emails after I have looked in that universal inbox to see all other text, email, and facebook messages ? Is google just trying to be differicult?

Seems like the logic is there and you can add the Gmail account. But it fails to connect to the Google server/s. Here is the error I am getting - "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server."
I have no issues adding and connecting to other email accounts (MS Exchange, Yahoo, etc...). Really hope that 2.2 update will bring some solution to that issue.

Gmail 'All mail' listed for every message in smart folders

With the new Gmail integration, every one of my smart folder message lists show each message as being in 'All mail'. While this is true, I'd much prefer it if it showed me any *other* folders/tags the message is part of, which is much more interesting.
Is this the common experience?

Try Skye's e-mail support here because this may be a web based mail client issue, not the iPad. Try their e-mail help center or try to contact Sky just to rule that out.

Cannot sync my Curve 8530 with gmail.

Hi, I just noticed that back in April, my BB stopped syncing with my gmail account. In looking at my gmail emails, the last one is notifying me that I must resign on to gmail. I have tried 16 times and cannot get my BB to recognize my gmail account & password, yet I know they are correct.
Also, was wondering if the gmail enhanced plug-in will help but cannot seem to find on the BB website.
The event that changed my BB software & passwords was in purchasing a new mac, moving from 32 bit to 64 bit. I just downloaded your new software enabling the 64 bit and it still doesn't work.
Please help me asap as I do need to receive gmail on my BB as it is my mail email account.
Please advise how I may receive gmail on my BB

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
For the gmail integration I would suggest using https://www.google.com/accounts/UnlockCaptcha to make sure the POP access is not locked. Once completed then try to add the email account on the BlackBerry.

Gmail and other IMAP, smart mailbox for inboxes

Hello,
I have Mavericks, use Mail.app, including 4 active email accounts. I have a smart mailbox that includes any message from 3 of the 4 account inboxes, and I've been using this setup since Snow Leopard. After upgrading to Mavericks, this smart mailbox no longer works properly.
So 2 of the 3 mailboxes included in the smart mailbox are gmail, the third is non-gmail IMAP. The smart mailbox does include the correct messages from all three inboxes together, but it lists the gmail boxes as being from archive (AKA All Mail) instead of Inbox. Apparently Mail.app is doing a message matching between those emails, and preferring the "all mail" version over the inbox version. This didn't seem to be more than an annoyance at first, until I discovered that I can't archive emails from the smart mailbox: I have to go directly to the inbox to archive them, because calling "archive" on an "all mail" message is a No-op.
I beleive this problem is not specific to smart mailboxes, because it happens on search results as well. So
Select gmail inbox
search for a sender in that mailbox only
select some of those messages
click "archive"
The effect is that the messages will disappaer from the current search result, but as soon as I dismiss the search I can see the messages are still in the inbox.
Clearly the enhanced gmail integration was done hastily here.
I don't know if there is a workaround here. Apple must fix!

Oh, and there was one other issue I forgot to mention. When I used this arrangement before Mavericks, the smart mailbox pointing at my inboxes would "live update", so if new mail was received in an inbox and I was looking at the smart mailbox, it would update immediately. This functionality is no longer there.

Controlling how often my Q10 syncs with my Gmail account

I cannot seem to control how often my Q10 syncs with my Gmail account. I have adjusted the settings for Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts several times, but it seems to pull the emails frequently (within an hour) regardless of the setting. I want to control the syncing manually. What am I missing? The phone is brand new and unlocked, running on AT&T, and this happens regardless of whether I am using WiFi or not.

A few possible variables...
1) What do you have set for "Use Push if Available"
2) How exactly is GMail integrated? EAS? IMAP? POP?
If the answer to item 1 is yes AND you have GMail integrated as IMAP, then the time interval setting is ignored. If integrated as EAS, it may also be ignored as well as the "Use Push..." setting might also be ignored. If integrated as POP, then there is no Push, so your time interval settings would be utilized.
So, depending on the combination of factors, it may or may not be doing exactly now what it should be.

Email sync - Gmail

Hi everyone,
I'm a Gmail user and have set my Blackberry Curve 9360 up to retrieve my emails etc.
However it's very frustrating when I read my emails on my laptop and when I look at my phone they're all still flashing as unread, despite me reading/replying to them/deleting them in my main mailbox online. Is there a way that you can set your emails up to actually sync with the device so I don't have to go through my mail twice on 2 different devices?
Even the most simple android phone has this capability so I'm struggling to see why I can't get this to work on my Blackberry. Contacted Blackberry help on Twitter and they weren't much use.

Depending on how you have your Gmail integrated, then you could be experiencing different results. For example, if you only allow GMail to face POP for your account, then you will only receive those reconciliation capabilities listed for POP. If you instead face IMAP, you will have more capabilities. Note carefully please that you control what GMail faces to the Internet for you -- within the GMail web interface, you control if it faces POP, IMAP, or both for your account. But if you change it, you will need to remove and re-integrate the account on your BB so that the new settings can be captured (they don't change on the device/BIS when you change them at GMail). You also need to be certain that, within your BB/BIS email configuration, that you have actually activated all of the reconciliation capabilities that are available.

Problem in mail box

why does only the important emails show up in my blackberry ?
I am using Blackberry Curve 9300 and i just don't understand why all of my incoming emails from gmail only show up in the message icon and do not show up in Gmail icon. Only the important emails can be seen from my Gmail icon.
please give me the solution

Safari will not open, even after reboot

I have been having all sorts of problems with my iMac since installing Mavericks (Gmail integration was freezing everything, Maps just didn't work).
The latest is that Safari just will not open, period. I have rebooted several times and even reinstalled OS X via the Cmd+R on reboot, nothing. It hangs upon opening and needs a Force Quit. When restarting again, it asks if you want to reopen windows and it makes no difference if you say Yes or No.
Any ideas on what to do?

Try deleting the com.apple.Safari.plist
Quit the application.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer ones.

Airmail and Tags

Hi all,
I have a problem with tags when used with Airmail. I usually access certain files associated with a project by clicking on a coloured tag in finder. However when I attach a file with a coloured tag to an email in Airmail and send it, I get duplicate files appearing in that coloured tag in finger, when the attachments have obviously been saved elsewhere (in the Library folder). I assume this is Airmail making duplicate files? Or maybe it's a problem with Apple and Gmail integration, I'm not sure.
If you have any tips they'd be most welcome!

David, this is about understanding the use of, and differencies between tags and collections. This is a bit hard for many new users.
First of all searching for collections and tags can *not* be done simultaneously. You can either work with one collection only, or you can search for pictures with one or more tags.
Next collections should be used as either temporary work sets or for special occasions like specific vacations, trips or birthdays, e.g. "Anna 5 years". You say you have a collection named "Churches". I think would have made a TAG called "Churches" instead, because a tag is for general searches that can be combined. On the other hand I might have made a collection called "Church visits July 2005" or "Summer vacation 2005" or the like.
Another difference is that pictures in a collection can be sorted manually by drag & drop, while pictures found via tags always are shown in the order chosen in the Photo Browser Arrangement box shown bottom left in the Organizer.

Problem stopping email subfolder notifications

Hi there,
I receive a large number of emails to my Gmail and so divert them into separate folders in the hope that since they wouldn't hit my Inbox, I would not receive the notification on my Blackberry.
However, I am still getting the notifications but when I open the Inbox there are no unread emails. The only way I have been able to figure out how to access these unread emails is by Searching for 'Unopened' emails and deleting them.
Even when I open (and delete!) them from my Gmail they still do not disappear from my BB - despite selecting Reconcile...
Obviously I am rather new to Blackberrys and am still trying to get the hang of synching my emails but I basically wanted to know whether there is a way to set up the email notifications to ONLY notify when an email hits the Inbox, not the subfolders. I have tried selecting "Hide Read Filed Emails" in General Options as suggested on other forums but it still comes through!!
Any help would be much appreciated then I can find out if this is indeed possible rather than driving myself crazy trying to figure it out!!

By design all messages are designed to go to the main message queue. THe separate envelopes are
actually the same message.
