Gmail labels and firefox 3.6.8

Hello,
When I go to apply a label to one of my gmails, I can point to the label wait till it highlights then drag it to the gmail I want to label. That's the way it's supposed to work, but......
In FF3.6.8 the label is three to four lines higher than the cursor.
At first, I placed the label on the gmail I wanted to label, but if it's near the top the drag an drop won't work. I label several gmails below where I want to go.
After working with it I found I have to place the cursor on the gmail even though the label is in the gmail search box, and it will work.
Gmail doesn't work like this in IE8, Chrome, or Opera.
I could of sent a screen shot, but I don't see anywhere to do that for now.
I like the way FF handles the TS info.
