my gmail account isnt auto pushing to phone anymore i have to go into account and do a refresh to get emails and have it set to auto push every 15 mins . Anyone else having this problem.

Gmail -- Not Pushing or Fetching?

I've had my Gmail setup as an Exchange account for months now without issue. For the last week, I've noticed that emails do not show up (no notification) until I open the Mail app. I've switched between Fetch and Push with the same results. I've also setup my Gmail as a "Gmail" account and I'm having the same issue. Contacts and Calendar are syncing just fine, it's only an issue with email.
Has anybody else experienced the same lately? Any ideas how to resolve?

My issue was slightly different. Sending was never an issue and receiving worked...when I opened the Mail app. Not sure what changed, but notifications are working as normal now.

Gmail not 'pushing' to Messaging app..

On my new Maxx, if I go into messaging and view either of the 2 gmail accounts I have and hit refresh, it will refresh and load new e-mail. However, new e-mail will not automatically get delivered as it did with my 'old' RAZR. The gmail app, however, gets updated, but I like using the built in "messaging" app. The POP3 account in the messaging app works just fine.
in Accounts, gmail is setup correctly, password is good, and the box for "update the services to display and sync" is checked.

You lost me a bit on my Razr Maxx an on my Droid X that i 've had for two years there is are two separate Messaging entities The one that says Messaging Witch holds the The Universal Inbox , Text Messaging , an For Mine Yahoo. 8330 not pushing my GMAILS to the phone? something is wrong- Please help-- i have tried everything!

PROBLEM: My 8330 is not pushing my gmails to the phone. i get 1 out of 4 messages pushed to the phone. i re-sent service books, i deleted and re-added gmail to my bb (thru BIS). I deleted the gmail off my outloook as well from my PC.
I downloaded GMAIL for blckberry from Google and that works but i like my gmail to be combined in my inbox.
I need a blackberry expert help on this.
VERIZON support has not been able to solve this.
ADDITIONALLY the gmail filter for duplicate messages is not working on my blackberry either, meaning the messages i send from gmail.com or from my BB come back immediately as duplicates.
I have had 10 blackberry's so i am not novice, PLEASE HELP!!

Are any of the emails you DON'T receive being received in your Outlook? In other words, is there any correlation between your missing BB emails and those you do receive in Outlook?
IF you are using Outlook to download your email to your desktop PC, Outlook is likely "deleting" mail from your email server when it downloads it to your PC.
There is a setting in Outlook to "Leave Messages on Server".
For MS Outlook 2003:
1. Outlook > Tools > Email accounts > View or Change existing > next.
2. Highlight the email account > Change > More Settings.
3. Advanced Tab > Leave a Copy Messages on Server
4. Check that box.
* You will need to perform this edit for each Outlook email account you have.
Other versions of Outlook have a similar setting although it might located in a slightly different location in the :advanced settings.

Entries on my I phone 4 in Calender are not pushed to I cloud so does not sync with my Mac and I pad. Reverse (from Mac to I pad and i phone works fine who can help me??

Use Mac. I phone 4 and i Pad all latest software switched to i Cloud, works fine except entries in the Calender of the I Phone are not pushed to I Pad and Mac. reverse (from Mac to I phone and Ipad) it works ok. I pad entries in calender are pushed to Mac and IPhone Who can help me??

On the iPhone open the Calendar app and on the top left conner tap the Calendar button and confirme that the calendars on your iPhone are under iCloud.
If not that is the reason why they are not going.
If they are under iCloud try to toggle off and back on iCloud calendar options.

If you're not receiving notifications for a specific app, try these steps:
Verify that the app supports notifications.
After installing an app or restoring a backup to a different iOS device, open the app to begin receiving notifications. If the app requires entering or logging in to an account, you will need to do this before receiving notifications.
Check Settings > Notification Center to ensure that the app is configured for notifications. If notifications do not appear in the Notification Center, verify that the Notification Center setting for the app is enabled.

Gmail contacts/calendar/notes not updating to phone

Hi, my iphone 4 was replaced yesterday. I'm now trying to set up my contacts from Gmail. I know how to do this but it just hangs. Mail has uploaded fine but not the contacts, calendar or notes. I've tried to do this individually, hence how I know email is working, but the contacts/calendars/notes don't seem to want to play nice. Please help.

If you want the calendar entries that you create on the phone to sync with the gmail, you need to create the entry in the gmail calendar on the phone. If you create it in the phone calendar, it is only on the phone.
Usually at the very top of the new event entry you have a choice of which calendar to create this event in. Either Phone, gmail or any other option you have synced to your phone. To get it to sync to the gmail calendar you need to select the gmail calender.

I had the same problem and it baffled me at first too.
On your iPhone, tap the icon to open the phone app, then tap on contacts at the bottom. You will probably see a screen that says "untitled groups" at the top and doesn't show any contacts listed. Tap on the "Groups" arrow at the top left of the screen (Beside where it says "untitled groups"). That should back you up to a screen where you'll see "All Contacts" and "Untitled Group" listed. Simply tap on the "All Contacts" and it should take you back to the main contact page with all of your contacts showing.
I'm not sure if this fix needs you to do what Carol Samit recommended above or not (toggling contacts on/off in iCloud settings), as I had done that first and still not had my contacts show up. Then I discovered the fix I've just described above.

Hotmail not pushing mail to my phone

I've set up my Hotmail account on my iPhone 3GS that is running iOS 4 using ActiveSync. It will fetch emails just fine when opening the mail app, but it will not notify me via push, which I thought was supported with the recent updates. I have gmail set up on my phone and push works just fine with it, so I know that push does work. I just love my hotmail too much to fully switch over to gmail, so push support that works is what I'm craving.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Select Fetch New Data.
Select Advanced at the bottom.
Select your Hotmail account.
The options available should be Push, Fetch, Manual.
You can enable or disable Push access for received messages with the account only without turning Push access off globally on the iPhone which would disable Push notifications with any app that provides Push notifications if any Push notifications are enabled with any 3rd party app or apps.

There are some third party apps that claim to be able to copy music
from iPhone to computer - I do not use any so cannot comment on
their worth. Google may provide some assistance, but read reviews
carefully before trusting your only copy of any data to such programs.
iPhone is not meant to be a sole repository of any data. You should
regularly sync either with a computer using iTunes and other appropriate
programs for contacts, pictures, media etc. or via iCloud to protect your data.

How did the music get onto your iPhone? If it was all downloaded from iTunes,
depending on your location, you should be able to download again after update.
See if that is offered in your location before counting on being able to redownload.

I have had a 3GS for 2+ years. After upgrading to IOS 4 (now 4.3.5) I began having problems. In the past week, my screen went to the itunes logo and USB cable twice -- unprovoked -- just found it sitting there like that! You wouldn't need to see the screen to backup unless you have a passcode on the device. Is that the case? You should be able to plug the device into the computer with iTunes and just select backup now.

With your phone plugged in, open Image Capture and see if the iPhone shows up. If not, you are having a sync problem. If it shows up in Image Capture, but not iTunes, I'd delete iTunes and reinstall it.
