Gmail problem in downloading messages in iPhone 4S

I can no longer view the entire mail messages on my iPhone 4S, only the sender and the subject. The text or images don't download.

Hi Everyone,
Hopefully this is just a quick question that I can't seem to find an answer to. Here is the setup:
1. I have a number of email accounts that I manage on an Google Apps account (e.g. [email protected]; [email protected], etc)
2. I have set up gmail accounts so the key messages I want to read end up from the google apps account in my main @gmail.com.
3. I would like to use my iPhone to send from both my mail @gmail.com as well as my google apps account (e.g. from [email protected] "Uncle Mike for my birthday I'd like a pony" attached a picture of a pony)
I have therefore setup my main @gmail account in iOS mail and my other Google Apps accounts that I want to use (e.g. [email protected]) syncing only mail.
The challenge is that I get repeated emails (because [email protected] forwards to @gmail.com) on my iOS device. I've set up filters in Gmail to mark as read and archive the messages before they are forwarded for the Google Apps accounts, but they still keep on being downloaded.
Any suggestions on how to force iOS Mail app not download them? Or is there a special Gmail side filter I can use?

Move them to a folder that is stored locally, rather than on the email server.
Reading between the lines, I guess your account uses IMAP, where the design philosophy is to store all messages on the server. Since your client shows what's on the server, when you delete a message, it vanishes both on the server and in the client.
The Local Folders "special" account in Thunderbird is provided for this very purpose, amongst others.

Try going to Settings>iCloud and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your data will still be in iCloud). Then see if Find My iPhone will accept your password, allowing you to disable it and sign back into your iCloud account in Settings>iCloud.

Problems to download photos from iPhone since ver 8.0

Since I updated the SW to ver 8.0 I have problems to get the pictures out of my iPhone towards my Windows 8.1 PC (before it worked)
Before I connected it to my PC and my iPhone 5S appeared as a harddisk with a DCIM folder. Inside it, and as it looked, randomly, different folders were created (with strange names made of numbers and characters), by patiently navigating one by one I was able to get all pictures out.
However, since change to version 8.0 and onwards I cannot get my pictures out. In fact, when I look at my iPhone all the new pictures don't show in the DCIM folder in the PC.
I tried the Beta version of ICLOUD PHOTOS but the problem is that when I download the pictures all the date info is resetted to the day of download (useless to organise them chronologically)
I tried to look for a discussion about it but no luck. Hope this helps. Thank you!

i have problem that i download app from app store and it seems to be downloading but when it finish i cant open it from app store and the icons of the app dont exist in the iphone and also when i open the i tunes i can see all the apps i download but when i try to move it to iphone it seem to be moved but i cant find it in iphone
this problem happend to me after i update the software to iOS 7 and before that i had no problem
so wt could i do?

Does anyone have email problems since downloading IOS6 to IPhone??

I downloaded the new IOS6 software to my IPhone 4 last week and cannot SEND nor DELETE email from it. I can receive only. I downloaded the same to my IPad and THAT WORKS FINE...I spent hours, no DAYS on the horn with Apple and they cannot resolve this issue (???!!!!!) and its driving me crazy. They're telling me to check with my web hosting company, who handles my domain and email (and have for many years) and there are no issues there. Why would it only work on the IPad (and my PC also fine by the way) and NOT the IPhone? This is obviously an Apple prolblem that they're trying to sidestep and blame a 3rd party! ANY help apreciated! This is an IMAP and not POP3 since I was told I could more easily coordinate email between PC, IPhone and IPad (which proved to be correct), UNTIL NOW!!

I have an exchange account and a yahoo account and have no issues since I've updated to the new IOS.
If you can't send email - first place i would check is to see if you can enter a password for your outgoing mail server, same password as your incoming mail server.
if that doesn't work, then delete the account, then reset your phone and then enter the account again.

ICloud Password reset problems cant download apps to iphone

HI, I have two apple ids, Icloud is linked to my first one and has started asking me for a password everytime I want to download an app etc, it will not accept my password. I tried to reset it but I dont receive the verification emails. I tried doing it by using the security questions but it wont accept my date of birth stating its different , I dont get it. Can someone help me out please so I can download apps etc again.

It sounds like you have used at least two different Apple IDs in the past to buy apps. Apps are forever associated with the ID you used to buy them. When you change the itunes store ID on a device, then all apps purchased from another ID are no longer valid on your device.
The usual advice is to choose the ID that was used the most and stick with that. You'll have to buy the apps associated with the other ID again.

Mozilla Thunderbird hangs all the time, won't download messages, won't save messages,

I have been running Mozilla Thunderbird since the beginning of the year.
I have always had problems, but it seems to be getting worse.
It won't download messages, it won't save messages at the time you send them, instead a window runs for ages saying:
"Copying messages to saved folder"
Then it says
"There was an error saving the message to sent, retry?"
You hit cancel and then it comes up with:
"The message was sent successfully, but could not be copied to your Sent folder. Would you like to return to the compose window?"
Then there is the problem of downloading messages, basically it doesn't all the time, it hangs and I have to either restart the computer or download them on my iphone.
It can take upwards of 20 minutes to download a single message.
I had a look at the "Activity Manager" and it seems frozen as well.
It also sends up the messages that the server has been disconnected or timed out.
I've had a look through the trouble shooting guide but can't seem to progress this.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
I am running the latest version, and have Windows 7, 64 bit.
I am fast of the opinion I'd better shell out some cash and get Windows Outlook as Thunderfox is a nightmare.

How do you fix a gmail account on an iPhone 4G that stops downloading messages into the InBox? My gmail gave me a notice that said imap.gmail.com is not responding. Can send emails out but cannot download new messages into Inbox.

Hi! So I finally found a disk cleaning kit and tried it out. No luck : (
The exact thing that occurs is:
Put disk in. It does not show up. Cannot get it out.
Turn computer on and off.
Message comes up saying it cannot read the disk and if I would like to erase the disk or eject it.
Then I eject it.
That's the whole of the cycle.
So do you think that just means it;s busted and no other way I can solve it but go with the external drive at this point?

Same problem here in Brazil.
It seems to be a problem with logging in App Store in the Mac (Yosemite 10.10.2).
When I tried the very same userid and password I was able to login in to use my iCloud account from the same computer and also from my iPhone.

I had this problem before. I like to disable extra services to speed up my computer and I disabled the Apple Mobile Device service and had to re-enable this.
You can do that by going Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Services. Once you have gone to the services window, look for Apple Mobile Device and right-click. Select "Properties". There should be some information about the service as well as the label "Startup Type" with a drop-down menu beside it. If it says "disabled", that is your problem; Change the selection to anything except disabled (Automatic is easier and ensures that you can sync as soon as itunes opens).
If this doesn't work, I would look into your anti-virus' settings. Good Luck!

Thank you for your help are you aware of any apps that will work the iso 4.2.1 system that will let you watch movies on the phone. Also I tried to down load something else the other day and got message that Safari wont let you open this is ther any to see if i have the latest safari on my phone?

IPhone keeps causing Entourage to re-download messages from POP server

Hi guys
I'm using a standard POP account, which downloads to Entourage leaving copies on the server (so I can use Webmail when when I need to)
Now I've added the account to my iPhone 3G, the iPhone accesses the account, downloads messages fine.
But if my Entourage then tries to access right after I know the iPhone has, it can't get in for a minute or 2, and then once it does Entourage just downloads all the messages again even though it's already had them.
Has anyone else had this problem and any idea how to stop the iPhone from making Entourage think there's new messages to download? I'm almost at the point where I'm going to have to NOT use the iPhone Mail program and access via Webmail in Safari!

I think you'll need to set the account up as an IMAP account instead.
That way it will be in sync with your PC and your e-mail server all the time and you can delete or read on any device.
Most e-mail providers have IMAP as well as POP servers so it's worth asking.
