GMT time stamps interfere with calendar in 8.1.2

How do I prevent GMT time stamps from interfering with my calendars? This did not occur until I upgraded to OS 8.1.2
I sync an iPod touch 5th generation with google calendars, and have done so with this device for over a year, and on a generation 3 device for four years - all without hassle.
Since upgrading to 8.1.2 my calendar is suddenly very difficult to use.

Hi All,
I am trying to develop JSP client for a conversational webservice. I amtrying
it in two ways and
none of them is working.
1)
I have put the Java Proxy file generated by Weblogic Workshop for myWebservice
in the lib
directory of the web application. According to article posted in "DearJohn" series,
my proxy
must have methods that take one additional argument to pass in Header infoapart
from all
the arguments mentioned by me. But, I don't see any methods like this inmy proxy
and
corresponding stub.
2)
Other suggested method is to use Webservices Control. In this, I amsetting a
string as
Conversation ID when I invoke a method that is marked to startconversation. Further,
if I
invoke any other method marked Continue in the same JSP it works. But,from another
JSP
where I set the same conversation ID and then try to call a method markedas Continue,
it does not work. It say, check whether you have start a conversation. Ican see
my conversation
in Test browser and I am calling continue method before max-idle-time.
I am not sure which step I am missing. Help Required!!!
Thanks in advance,
Sushil

The routers will only interfere if they are working with the same channel. Time Capsule sets up automatically the channel, so you shouldn't have any problem with both routers

I'm thinking this might have to do with the system clock, except in FreeBSD and the BIOS the date/time is correct.

I'm guessing your system clock is wrong in Arch.  Type "date" and see if it's the right time... and check /etc/rc.conf to make sure you have HARDWARECLOCK and TIMEZONE set right.

  • How to use time zone settings with calendar events ??

After looking through the questions on time zones and synchronization, I still cannot get my Palm Centro to operate the way I think it should.
I have a Verizon Centro, am using Windows XP with Outlook, and synching via the Hotsync manager 7.02 over a USB cable.  I am not using Palm Desktop.
I am expecting events to shift time in the calendar when I change the time zone, but they do not.
I am preparing for a trip.  I enter several test events into MS Outlook placing the events to occur in a different time zone into my calendar at the time the event would occur in my home time zone (NY).   For example, a meeting from 9-10 AM in Los Angeles is put in my MS outlook calendar as 12-1 PM on the day of the meeting.  Then I sync, with the time zone of my Centro and Outlook set for New York.  The Centro is set to update Date, Time, Zone automatically from the network in New York. The meeting event appears as 12-1 PM on the correct day.
Then I turn off the Centro phone (ie disconnect from the Verizon network), change the time update to "Nothing" -- ie entirely manual, change the time zone to Los Angeles and set  the time to the correct time in Los Angeles.   I expect the meeting to shift to 9-10 AM in my Centro calendar, but it does not !!!!!  I try other combinations -- Leave the time update on Date and Time automatic, and change the time zone to Los Angeles, etc.  I think I tried all the combinations.  Throughout, I leave the Centro phone off of the Verizon network.  I cannot get the meeting to change its time in the new time zone.
What is the trick ??? What did I miss ??
You might ask why I am trying this with the phone turned off -- that is because I am really going much farther than LA, and into a GSM network where I will simply use the Centro as a PDA.
    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks for the response.
Indeed my preference was not set "new events use time zones".
Meanwhile, I had loaded all the applointments from Outlook, about 20 of them,
figuring I would just move them manually en route.
I will play with the time zone preference, but,
is there any way to identify the existing appointments in the
Palm as belonging to a different time zone, just using the Palm Centro ?
    Thanks,

  • Changing an export file name by using a time stamp

    Hello Everyone,
I am trying to create a way, utilizing the Report Attributes/Report Export field, to have an export file created with a time stamp associated with the file name.
The reason for this is that I have users who will do multiple exports to Excel from a single parameters driven report. As opposed to manually giving the file a unique name each time the export occurs, I would like to give the export a time stamp as part of the name therefore making it unique.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

I found the typo mm instead of MM which was my problem from the beginning.  MM represents month not mm.  A simple mistake that costed a lot of time.  Thanks Mike
Cheers, you're very welcome. Glad I could help out.

A.lastupd - Is this a timestamp field or character?
If it is a timestamp then you converting your date in wrong type. It should be TO_TIMESTAMP and not TO_CHAR.

  • Java time stamp

    Hello All,
I want to create a TimeStamp Object.
    I was using the constructor
    TimeStamp s = new TimeStamp(2001, 07, 07, 0, 0, 0, 0);
Problem is that this constructor is now deprecated.
The new constructor takes a value of type 'long'.
But I don't know what to put in this long ?
    Can anyone help?
    regards,
    Abhishek.

I know that new TimeStamp(System.currentTimeMillis()) would work but that is not what I want.
I do not want the current time.
I want to create an Time stamp object with the time
    2001/07/07 00:00:00

  • Split in stock transport order due to different time stamp in STR

    Hi,
Deliveries created for stock PO's are splitted due to time stamp per seconds in the Stock PO. This originates due to timestamp set on the Stock transfer requisition created in APO. In this case several Stock transfer requisitions are consolidated to one Stock transfer order which is OK but it creates several deliveries due to the times stamp (split on seconds per day).
Request to suggest the way to avoid split of delivery due to time stamp.

  • Adjusting time stamp of AI waveform when using pause triggering

    Hi Everybody,
I've written a VI that acquires data (AI) at specified time intervals
by using pause triggering and a counter signal, but the resulting time
stamps associated with the data points in the AI waveform are NOT the
actual time relative to the start of the initial acquisition. I was
thinking of modifying the time stamps (post-acquisition) for each set
of data points per interval by adding the "off" time as set by the
counter signal, thereby adjusting the time stamps of the data to real
time. I then have a subVI that will convert the time stamps to elapsed
time. I also have an AO waveform being generated at the same time, and
was wondering if I could somehow use those time stamps values if they
were synced to the AI somehow, although this seems more difficult. The
adjustment does not need to be extremely accurate, and can vary on the
order of seconds (e.g., the last data point could be at 9990 seconds
for an acquisition that actually ended after 10000 seconds). Any
    suggestions?
As an aside, the important point of this part of my program is to
reduce the amount of data being collected. I need a high sampling rate
to acquire waveforms with pulse widths on the order of milliseconds,
but typically run the experiment overnight (+12 hrs.) so the files get
really big (e.g., 3 GB!). I could try writing to binary files, but I
haven't figured out how to read the file and then split the data into
smaller files of user-defined size that can then be converted to
text/.xls files. If you have any ideas on how I might do this as well,
I'd greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!
    Unagi

    Unagi,
I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do, but I can
take a guess.  When performing analog input measurements the waveform is
composed of t0, dt and Y.  You can manipulate any of these values after
the data has been acquired.  If you set up the task the waveform should
contain an absolute time, not relative.  If relative is required, as you
suggested, this can be done post acquisition with the build waveform components
    vi.
I do not understand exactly what you want do with the
timestamps for the analog output.  Do you
want to use the relative time computed from the analog input data for the
analog output waveform?  If so, you could
build a waveform and use the t0, dt from the analog input processed/relative
time waveform.  Again this would be done with the build waveform components
    vi.
Finally, a binary file would reduce the amount of memory
required when saving your data.  A binary file is fairly simple to save
and open in LabVIEW.  There are a couple examples in NI Example Finder (i.e.
Write Binary File and Read Binary File) that show you how to write and read
binary files.  If you write the data to a binary file during acquisition,
and modify/split it later you could open the binary file, retrieve the data in
LabVIEW, and write a small subset to a text file.  Alternatively, you could
perform some analysis of the data during acquisition and only save the set of
data that you require post acquisition.

    BKBK,
Thank you for your response. That does adequately cover the
client-originated sessions, but still leaves the ability I am
    looking for unavailable.
It did serve to definitively answer my most pressing
    question, however, with this statement:
Note: ColdFusion cannot create a session if an initiator
application uses a SendGatewayMessage method to start an
interaction with a client, such as an SMS user. In this case, the
sending code must keep track (for example, in a database) of the
messages it sends and their destinations. When a response event
arrives, it can look up the origniatorID to determine whether it
was in response to an outgoing message.
I will play around with the Application scope to see if there
might be a workable solution there.

  • Convert unix time stamp to readable time with daylight saving

    Hello NG,
I have a table that has a column containing time stamps in the unix time format (seconds since 1970). If I show these times to the user, they should be converted to some readable format. I'm using the following sql code as an example:
    select to_char(
    to_timestamp_tz(
    to_char(
    to_date('01011970','ddmmyyyy') + 1/24/60/60 * 1086508800,
    'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS')||' Europe/Warsaw',
    'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS TZR'),
    'YYYY-MM-DD HH24:MI:SS TZH:TZM')
    from dual;
The output I get is the following:
    TO_CHAR(TO_TIMESTAMP_TZ(TO
    2004-06-06 08:00:00 +02:00
The output is right, but the format I need is the following:
    2004-06-06 10:00:00
How do I have to alter the statement to get the correct result (add the two hours of the timezone and dst to the time)?
