Gneration of multiple Production Order from multi level BOM

Hi Experts,
My customer has multi level BOM. meaning child item also has its own BOM - 4 Level.
FG-Pack - Make
      FG - Make
           SFG - Make
                RM - Buy
Their process is once they create Production Order for final Finished Good, System should also create Production order for child which it self are of make type and has own BOM defined in system.
They wish that once the create Production order for FG-Pack, system should automatic generate production order for FG and SFG as both of these has BOM defined and are of procurement type Make.
So first they will close the chile production order and receives qty. in ware house, they will issue this child qty. against main production order, and then completes the main production order.
So they remains informed about the child item stock.
My question is SAP Business One supports creation of multiple Production Order?
BR
Samir Gandhi

Hi Samir Gandhi,
There is no build-in function for this task. You need add-on or SDK for the job.
If the sub level BOM items are phantom, you can create a big production order including all sub BOM components. That is system supported.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Production order from sales order with multiple line item(for one material)

    Dear Gurus,
I am working in MTO scenarios. If there is several line item in a sales order for one material, multiple production order( same as no. of sales order line item) is getting created against each of the line item.My requirement is,since the material code is same in each line item and sales order is one, one production order should be generated for all line item. please tell me how to do it.
(Here for one material, multiple line item is required for some specific reason)

    Hi,
    This is not possible.
In Std SAP will create one production order for one sales order. The stock is also allocated to thet particular sales order only. Because each and every sales order may vary in any one of the parameters. Considering this, SAP has designed like this.

  • Create multiple sales orders from single service notification?

Is it possible to create multiple sales orders from a single notification (IW51)?
We currently create sales orders directly within transaction IW51 (Create Service Notification).  We kick off the sales order creation by pressing the "SALES ORD." button in the notification screen.  We're now interested in creating a 2nd Sales Order which would tie directly to the same Service Notification.  This is so that we can have the second order assigned to a different account assignment WBS (there are two different parties doing work on the service notification).
I assume you would have to go to VA01 to create the Sales Order, but am not sure how to tie it directly to the service notification from here.  I treied to do a create with reference, but there is no ability to create with reference to a service notification.
Do I have to create a second service notification for the 2nd Sales Order for this to work?  I want to avoid doing this if at all possible.
    I'm running SAP R/3 Enterprise
    Thanks for your help!

    Hi,
go to vtaa- copy controls for sales document to sales document.
select your combination of order and quotation go to item level. There select value 0(zero) in field positive/negative negative.
No need to change update document flow.
After setting zero in copy control that be told on above. create order with respective to the quotation.
    After saving the order.
go to document flow to see the status in between quotation and order.
If you placed setting right, then u certainly observe for quotation status will be open. so you can create no. of sales order with respect to that quotation..
    Have a good day..

  • Material cost charge to Production Order from Cost Center / Work Center.

In Production Order Environment, is it possible that goods are issued from Storage location to Cost Center / Work Center, and in turn charged to Production Orders.
    Scenario. Transformer Manufacturing.
Production Order size : 100 Units
Steel (Kgs) per Transformer : 3 Kgs
Total Steel required for Production Order: 300 Kgs (100x3)
In the process of manufacturing of a Transformer Steel or Core winding is the first process step.
Even though the Steel required for above said Production Order is 300 Kgs, the minimum issuable lot size from stores is 2000 Kgs.
Is it possible in SAP ECC 6.0 that the Steel of 2000 Kgs is issued to a Cost Center / Work Center, and later charged to production order based on actual Consumption in the said Cost Center / Work Center.
Regards, Replies and Sugestions shall be appreciated
    Madhu

    Thank you for the reply,
However, the scenario that i had in mind was a bit different from what you had conceptualized.
Scenario - These transformers are basically for loading on to Inverters & UPS, The max weight of the transformer range from 15-30 Kgs. and they dont have an external casing of steel as seen on Indian Electricity Board transformers. Multiple production orders are processed at a single time in the Plant as per Customer specifications.
The general process followed for manufacture is as follows:
    1. Core Winding u2013 This process takes place in the core winding department. Steel reels are loaded on to Winders and individual cores of approx 5 u2013 30 Cm Diameter are produced. (Multiple reels of Steel are stacked one on top of the other onto a pallet.) Usually issue of steel from stores happens pallet wise. The pallets of steel generally weigh in excess of 2 tons.
In the present situation (Non SAP Environment) the entire pallet of Steel is issued to the Core winding department and later the Output is charged to multiple Production Orders, based on the records of the Core winding dept. Since in general the steel content in the FG ranges from 3- 25 Kgs multiple Production Orders can be catered to from one Pallet of Steel.
    2. Core Laithing. The wound cores are laithed so as to make the sides smooth.
    3. Core Annealing u2013 Heat treatment process.
    4. Core Insulation. u2013 Insulation of the annealed cores with insulating material.
    5. Primary Winding. u2013 Copper is wound as per the BOM Specification. The issue like that of Steel also arises in the Copper winding process. Here also the Cooper comes in Spools which far exceed the requirement for any Production Order. The minimum issueable lot for Copper from Stores is one Spool. The current practice followed is that the Cooper is taken in the name of the Copper winding department and later charged to individual Production Orders.
    6. Primary Soldering.
    7. Mid Insulation.
    8. Secondary Winding
    9. Secondary Soldering
    10. Shielding
    11. Final Insulation u2013 Same issue with insulation too, since the insulating material comes in rolls.
    12. Testing.
    13. Potting & Drilling - Process of pouring a chemical compound in the center of the transformer, which helps the transformer to later be loaded on an Inverter. The same issue with like of Steel, Copper & Insulation arises here too, since the chemical compound comes in big containers capable of meeting production requirement for a week.
    14. Packing
    15. Transfer to FG Inventory.
One of the suggestions was to issue the entire 2000 Kgs to the Production Order and then return 1700 kgs after completion of the Production Order based on actual usage. However, in my opinion this option might not be practicable because, assuming that I get another / multiple Production orders in between the issue of 2000 Kgs and return of 1700 Kgs, issue to the new Production order will not be possible if the stock in stores was only 2000 Kgs initially. In case assuming that the material is available in stores for the next production order, the situation could worsen in case of receipt of multiple production orders.
Hope, I have explained the scenario & issue being faced.
    Regards
    Madhu

  • Multiple production orders for sales order line item

    hello Guru's
In our case Requirements are created in 2 ways
    Case 1:
    1)     Sales Orders are created at Plant level with schedule line category CP
    2)     Sales Orders are created at Depot level
In the above mentioned 2 cases the requirements are taken as inputs and the process is carried at plant level
    Step 1: Automated MDO3.
Sales Orders are created if there is short fall of the Quantity at the Depot and Plant Sales Orders are raised against the plant for which the requirements are generated and MRP run is carried out at Single Item single level.
    Step 2:
For the results of the step1 are then transferred and Production orders are created for the planned Orders.
The issues is whenever there is change in confirmed quantity or change in confirmed  date the requirements are considered again as inputs and the multiple production orders are getting generated for the single requirement
Actually we dont want this to have multiple production orders
    regards

    Hi,
Can you let us know the strategy group used for this material ? If i understood the query correctly, each time there is a change in the sales order (i.e. increase in qty), there is a triggering of new planned orders to meet that demand.
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Hi.......
I think you are trying to make production orders who has no BOM. First prepare BOM and then Create Production Order from Recomemdation Report. Because it supports only Standard Production Order and not Special......

  • Print out of production order from co02

    Hi All,
How do I take a print out of production order from co02. If I go to co02- Functions-Print- I get an error that after the next update the order will be printed. Since the production order is already in the released state how do I take the print.

    Priya,
What system is prompting is that once you use the print function in the change mode of the order, system prints the papers to Spool or Printer once it is saved, that is the reason it is giving you a message.
Please save the order after using the Print function in the change mode of the order, I am sure that you would get the print output either directly to the printer configured or to spool. If it was configured for spooling, use the transaction SP01/SP02 to print the spool request.

  • Exclude stock reserved for production order from availability check

    Hi Experts,
We have a problem in the availability check.
There is a material used as selling product and components in the same time.
When the material has been reserved completely for a production order, the new sales order still get confirmed despite there is no physical stock at all!
Please advise how to exclude the stock reserved for production order from the availability check in sales order? Many thanks!
    Regards,
    Qiang

Go to MM02 and check what availability check is maintained for that material.  Next go to OVZ9, select that available check with the combination "A" and maintain "X"  or  "F"  in the field  "Incl.production orders".

  • BAPI/FM for Confirmation of Production order at operation level

    Hi ABAPers,
I am using the 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_ACT'for Confirmation of Production order at operation level.
I am able to pass the Production order number and Active Operation get the confirmation done.
But the Confirmed Qty is not being updating in AFKO table.
The 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_HDR' cannot be used for Confirmation of Production order at operation level as there is no Operation/Activity(Vornr) field in the input table. Hence using this bapi confirmation of Prod order can be only at Order level.
Can someone know any FM/BAPI which can be used for the Confirmation of Production order at operation level(not order level).
    Thanks in Advance
    Ramesh Babu Cikka

    Hi Ramesh,
    Please use FUNCTION 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT'.
This will work as like as T/Code "CO11".
I hope this will help you.
    Example :
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT'
        EXPORTING
          POST_WRONG_ENTRIES = '0'
          TESTRUN            = ' '
        IMPORTING
          RETURN             = ZRETURN
        TABLES
          TIMETICKETS        = ZBAPI_PP_TIMETICKET
          DETAIL_RETURN      = ZBAPI_CORU_RETURN.
      CALL FUNCTION 'BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT'
        EXPORTING
          WAIT = 'W'.

  • Need transaction similar to KKBC_ORD but for multiple production orders

    HI all,
Have been scouring the system looking for a report which displays production order variance information for multiple production orders.
The best way to describe what we need is KKBC_ORD but with the option to select multiple production orders or a range.
This transaction gives us exactly the results we want, but we have a long list of orders to analyse and to be able to get a list of them all rather than have to go into each individually would be fantastic.
Do you think we're looking at a custom development here ?
    Regards
    Helen Smith

IN these situations, I have sometimes written a "wrapper" program, with a Z version of the transaction....Get the list of documents via user input to your selection options, then loop at that pick list and do a call transaction for each document.

Can we restrict the partially confirmed production order from getting deleted?
I.e. if the production order is having status PCNF then the deletion flag indicator (status DLFL) should not be allowed to set

    Hi,
Then must be there is change in BS22.Check allowed transaction setting for Status PCNF/CNF .For reference purpose compare it with other client IDES or sand box.
For your reference I have pasted Error log on the same.
Balance of ORD 1000000702 is not zero
    Message no. KO115
    Diagnosis
The balance on object ORD 1000000702 is not zero. That is, there are still costs on the object.
    System Response
The object cannot be closed and the deletion flag must not be set.
