Gnome 3.8.1 notification bar "permanent"? [problem solved]

Hi there!
Every update of gnome shell bring some pain to me (and this old desktop pc).
I noticed in the 3.8.1 version the notifications are gone. After googling it, I found out that Super+M shows a notification bar.
Is it possible to keep it "permanent" like in previous versions? I searched for such this option in settings but I didn't find anything..
Btw, this gnome shell version crashes often. I really hope in a *better* future.

Oops, I didn't know I could just move the mouse against the bottom of the screen.
By "permanent" I meant the previous behavior, when the notification bbar was "sticked" in the "shell view" (mhh, when you press <Super>).

Gnome 3.2 notification bar behaviour

in gnome 3.0, the notification bar was always placed on the primary display. which was nice (the secondary display acting as an empty screen).
in gnome 3.2 the notification bar is placed on the bottom of the virtual desktop. which actually ruins the whole experience in my case.
especially since the popup windows appear offscreen (secondary display resolution is smaller than primary display).
is it possible to have the notification bar back on the primary screen?

I have exactly the same problem when I switched form gnome 3.0 to 3.2. I'm using nvidias drivers with twinview for dual monitoring. Is there already a possible fix for this?

I am having problem with my notifications bar and control centre bar. It doesn't work with sliding my fingers on the screen and when I restart the phone it works properly but again after few days the problem persist? My phone is an iphone6 8.1.3

First, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data by resetting.
If this does not help, set it up as new device, explained here:
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
If still no luck, get it checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider or contact Apple Support to get it serviced:

Gnome 3: Move Insync Notification to System Tray

In Gnome, the Insync indicator appears in the notifaction bar. It not only looks very out of place in the notification bar, it is difficult to use there. Is there a way for me to move it to the system tray?

If all you need is to make the frame not visible in the taskbar as well than why don't you activate the hide() method? cature the minimize event and activate the frame.hide(); method. And in the system tray make the frame visible by frame.show();

HT4623 Twitter is not working in the notification bar

I recently installed the iOS6 to my iPhone 4S.
At first, twitter was accessible through the notification bar, but not anymore.

I, too, am having this problem with the iPhone 5 running iOS 6. I have checked all my setting and compared these settings to a 4s running iOS 5.1 and all my setting are correct. Still when I receive Tweets from people I have designated to show up in the notifications bar, they don't show up! Not sure why this is happening. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a fix?

Can not pull down notification bar in PORTRAIT mode

I bought K900 from flipkart.com 2 months ago and everything was working ok. Now suddenly I have a problem with the notification bar; I can not pull down my notification bar. This problem started when I was using "GOOGLE+ app" and suddenly the notification bar automatically got pulled down; from that point I am unable to pull down my notification bar down. I have tried following ->
1) Disable google+ app, uninstall google+ uppdates
2) Restart phone normally and ALSO restarting the phone in safe mode.
3) clear cache using an app "App managet" and also clear ALL cache using the recovery (by pressing vol down and power button).
4) Factory reset
5) tried another lauchers : LauncherPro, Atom launcher
Has anyone faced this problem? There is an app on playstore "Drop down" which pulls down the notification bar. The touch sensors and also the display is working fine in the area of the notification bar (BUT I can not pull down by using fingers/swipe-down action). When the screen is in LANDSCAPE mode i.e. while playing a video using MXPlayer; the notification bar CAN BE PULLED DOWN, BUT CAN NOT in PORTRAIT mode.
I have also read on the internet that some people having samsung galaxy s3/s4 have also faced the same problem.
Can anybody suggest me to do something? Are my screen pixels/touch sensors dead on the top most row??
My K900 is stock(non-rooted) and has android 4.2.1; I have not updated my phone to the latest firmware.

I called Apple and was completely disappointed with their answer. They indicated that they would not answer such a question, since they deemed it to be "outside of the scope of Apple support" since my question was deemed "not a consumer-oriented
question."
So yesterday, I took my Samsung SyncMaster 204T monitor to the local Apple retailer to try it out on an actual system. I specifically tried it out on the 24" iMac with the nVidia 7300GT graphics card, since that is the system I was interested in.
It turned out that this monitor works beautifully in portrait mode with the above system using Tiger 10.4.8.
So, I went and bought it!!

Notification Bar down-sliding Bug !! (iPad 4)

Whenever I slide down the notification bar at my iPad 4 (with iOS 7.0.3),
the iPad bugs and restarts !
I upgraded to the "bug fixing" iOS 7.0.4 and still gettin the same problem !
What should be done ?!
I can't check my notifications and it's driving me crazy !
P.S. : I'm not Jailbroken and it's my very first bug using my almost 3-month old iPad 4 !

Can I access notifications bar when reading?

I'm a university student and I use this reader app for lectures, homework, looking at the bus schedule, & a host of other pdf's. The only problem I have is that I can't see my notification bar. This proves to be a hassle whenever I'm in the app and I need the time or i get a message. The convenience of the notif. bar is lost as I have to clunkily go to the home screen, check the time, estimate time to the day's next event or check my message; return to the reader; and repeat the process in the next couple minutes because I can't access the notif. bar. Is there a way to enable its access or can this be included in the next update. Thanks.

Cannot pull down notification bar after TB software upgrade?

I completed the software upgrade last night on my TB. For some reason the notification bar will no longer pull down. Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

Notification bar unresponsive on homepage

good day people.
i have a problem with my xperia Z2. i've been on the net for hours searching for the answer but all they've said was just to soft restart it which i did but to no success of fixing it.
i updated my phone from kitkat to the new android lolipop. everything went fine. everything was great. but suddenly just this morning a problem concerning my notifcation bar arise.
my problem is swiping down my notification bar. it works fine on the lock screen but when the moment i unlock my phone, i cant easily swipe it down. i have to linger my hand from the top bezzle slowly swiping my thumb so that the notification bar would respond. i dont have all day to do this. i tried activating the show touch option to see how my touch responded to the screen. and there i think is the problem. there is this small gap between the bezzle and the top screen of my Z2.
now the tricky thing to this problem is, why would my lockscreen-notification-bar-swipe work but my homepage swiping of the notification bar wont? they have the same gap of the touch between the bezzle and the screen when i touch the upper most part of the screen yet both work differently in terms of the responsiveness of the notification bar. please do help.

i did as what you specifically said and yet the problem is still there.... i had it backed up. as soon as the phone went on, the first thing i did was swipe down the notification bar on the lock screen and still it works. but homepage notification bar still unresponsive. what to do?

Wifi symbol on notification bar with wifi disabled

Hi,
since a few days I have a wifi symbol on my notification bar with 1 (number) on the left of the symbol.
I have wifi disabled but the symbol doesn't disappear.
Selecting the notification bar I only have calendar entries, nothing else appears that could be related to wifi.
Any suggestion on what to check ?

Notification bar not rolling down in z3

In my xepria z3 notification bar is not rolling down while the screen is in portrait mode. I guess its a software problem because its been almost 8 months im using it and i have never faced this kinda problem until i updated to andriod 5.1.1. And if you suggesting my screen has a crack, well it doesnt i checked several times, when it comes to my cell phone im extra careful with it. So please look into the problem and fix it ASAP.

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..

I have tried to uninstall/install messenger. I have tried turning notifications off/on on both my phone and in the app. I have to enter the app or facebook to check if I have recieved any messages.
is there a solution for this problem?

Curve 9360 Notification Bar

Hi,
I'm new to the blackberry world! I just got the Curve 9360 and used to have a notification bar under the time and date. It displayed any notifications (text, bbm, email, facebook etc..) also a search bar, and the volume button. not sure how I did this but it's gone, can anyone help? how do I re-add this bar. It's a pain having to go into all the menus to see where the notification are and changing the volume etc...

Will you do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner: With the BlackBerry device POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery to reboot. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
After rebooted, let me know what you see on your homescreen?

Is there a way to have the Notification bar in the Beta 7 build?

My version of the Beta just upgraded to the beta 7 build and with it, it took away the Notification bar, as well as the ability to restore it. A friend of mine suggested to search for an add-on, but I do not believe that to be a possibility as the Notification bar was only removed now in the Beta 7 build.
