  • MISSING: Time, Date, Battery Info

Since the new update, the Time, Date, Battery Info, etc that is normally in the top right hand corner toolbar is gone.
Going into system preferences to click the box for time doesn't work, because it is checked.

I am using a Panasonic  HDC TM 300.
I have tried copying the individual .mts files and copying the entire folder structur. Neither of these show the EXIF info in the PPro cs 4 metadata (EXIF section).
As I said the date/time info etc  shows up in  Adobe Bridge.
Am I missing something or is this a problem with PPro cs 4??

  • Battery info in different language

    battery info in different language

There are more than 50 different computers called MacBook Pro, with several different batteries, and Mac OS X is available in dozens of languages worldwide. Where are you seeing this information? what language does it appear to be? What language(s) do you use?
MUCH more background information will be needed for anyone to respond to your terse statement.

  • Cannot find Battery Info in System Profiler

Cannot find "Battery Info" in System Profiler (4.0.4).
Originally, I was going to title this post "battery not charging" - which is why I am looking for battery details. Of course, as soon as I started typing the battery clicked up a notch (29% to 30%).
So, I got a confused battery and a confused System Profiler.
A couple of weeks ago I had drained the battery completely and had to even run off the backup battery as I quickly finished what I was doing. I had since fully charged the battery and thought there were no problems.
Then suddenly a couple of days ago, I looked up and it was stuck at 33%. When I tried to switch from "Percentage" to "Time", all I got was a "Calculating...", which it never actually did. I tried unplugging the computer, and it indeed did run off battery power, so it was at least communicating power-wise, if not information-wise. Two days of fiddling around offered no solutions. (Zapped the PRAM, reset PMU). Meanwhile the battery kept on not charging.
Then, I start typing here and suddenly the battery is communicating with the computer. Percentage is ticking up and there is even an estimated "time until full". However, System Profiler still does not see any battery, or in fact even give me anything to click on for power management. It's not under Hardware, Software, Network or Logs. "Extended Report" doesn't find it either. I'm hoping I am just missing it somehow... is "Battery Information" hidden somewhere?
The battery plug has now switched from green to orange and the indicator icon from a battery with a plug, to a battery with a lightning bolt. While I was trying to figure out the problem, I have taken out the battery several times, so I doubt it would be a simple connection issue.
While I would like to believe my computer has magically healed itself, I suspect that something is still amiss. Maybe earlier versions of System Profiler did not have Battery Info?

Hi, RW, and welcome to Apple Discussions. System Profiler prior to the version that came with Tiger doesn't report any battery info. If you're running Panther, that's why you can't find anything about your battery in SP. Jeremy Kezer's XBattery will provide info about your battery in Panther.
Test to see whether your battery charges with a different, known-good AC adapter. That's the cheapest component of the charging system to replace if yours is faulty, and with luck that will prove to be where the problem lies. Other possibilities are a bad battery, DC-In board, or logic board.

  • MY SCREEN WILL NOT ROTATE! THERE IS ALSO A PICTURE OF A LOCK WITH A CIRCLE AROUND IT IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER BESIDE MY BATTERY INFO. HOW DO I GET MY SCREEN TO ROTATE?

my screen will not rotate, how do i change this. there is also a picture of a lock w a circle around it in the upper right corner of screen beside my battery info.

    ok ipad or iphone??
iphone - double tap the home button (the round button with the white square) then drag your finger across the button across the bottom of the screen (left to right) when the quick access bar opens. then u will see a icon on the left hand side that looks like that icon next to the battery. tap on that and it will disable the rotation lock fetcher
ipad - double tap the home button (the round button with the white square) then drag your finger across the button across the bottom of the screen (left to right) when the quick access bar opens. then u will see a icon on the left hand side that looks like that icon next to the battery. tap on that and it will disable the rotation lock. if it dose not open try the switch on the side of the ipad that is a rotation lock switch in ios 3.x and in ios 4.3 it has the option to be a rotation lock switch.

  • Battery Info Normal?

I've been having battery problems which I described in another post, but I was just wondering if the battery information below from the system profiler is normal or not, so I will know if there is something wrong with my battery.
Here's my battery info per system profiler.
    Is this normal?
    Battery Information:
    Battery Installed: Yes
    First low level warning: No
    Full Charge Capacity (mAh): 1263
    Remaining Capacity (mAh): 1263
    Amperage (mA): 0
    Voltage (mV): 12541
    Cycle Count: 82
    AC Charger Information:
    AC Charger (Watts): 65
    Connected: Yes
    Charging: No

A new battery should have a capacity of 4400mAh, yours is only about a third of that, try recalibrating it by running it down completely then fully recharging it.
I suspect its a bad one though.

  • Looking for App that displays more Battery info?

    Hello
I looking for an App wo gives me indication if the battery is in good health. This means gives me the actual battery capacity versus the original capacity. Every PowerBook and MacBook gives this info in the System Profiles or with Coconut
    eg.
    Model Information:
    Serial Number: 9G019049ABCDF
    Manufacturer: DP
    Device name: bq20z951
    Pack Lot Code: 0000
    PCB Lot Code: 0000
    Firmware Version: 0301
    Hardware Revision: 0001
    Cell Revision: 0119
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 12404
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 13093
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 13
    Condition: Normal
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): -3
    Voltage (mV): 8235
Is their such an App or is it not possible to read out this information out of the iPhone?
    Who knows more?
    Gérard

I recently purchased the mSecure app for the same purpose but cannot get it to sync with the desktop version via wifi as it is supposed to do. Support response from mSecure has been good but still no luck syncing. All of these types of apps require syncing via wi-fi but not much good if it doesn't work. I've tried all of the suggested work-arounds to no avail. Any suggestions would be welcome. I'm trying to sync to a Windows laptop. I'm reluctant to use the same type of apps that back up to an online storage site for security purposes.

  • [SOLVED] Gnome 3 Battery Indicator Missing

I've been using Arch on my desktop for a few years now, and as of a couple months ago I'm also running Arch on my HP dv8000t laptop. When i log into Gnome 3 the battery/charge indicator is missing from the icons in the upper right-hand corner. I know it was there for some time just after installing Arch, but since then it seems to have randomly disappeared. I thought I killed it with an update but since nobody else seems to have this problem, I'm not too sure any more. To further confuse things, GDM shows the battery indicator just fine, it's only after I log in that it is missing. This seems to point to it being a problem with some configuration in my home directory, but I don't know enough about gnome 3 to know what hidden folder to look under. Running 'acpi' from the command line gives me a battery percent remaining, but not a remaining time estimate (however, I've never had any OS on this laptop give a remaining time estimate so that's not a big problem for me).
Basically, I'm looking for a) software that might conflict with the icon and cause it to not show up or b) a configuration file where it may have gotten disabled.
After submitting this post, I'm going to create a brand new user and log into it as a test of whether it's a configuration in my home directory or not.
Edit: I just created a new user and the battery indicator worked for it, which means it's probably something with my profile. I also forgot to mention that at the same time as the battery icon disappeared, my volume hotkeys stopped working.

For anyone having similar problems, I discovered there was a permissions issue with my ~/.config/dconf/* files. I ended up just deleting mine and re-setting my settings (since I had only tweaked a couple) but I assume changing permissions back to something that my user could read from would also work.
What baffled me for the longest time was that there weren't (or I couldn't find) any error logs telling me dconf couldn't hit that file, which is why I never thought to check. Anyway, all is well now!

  • Battery info very inaccurate...

I know apple said the battery display was approximate but it will be 100% straight off the charger and I will play ~30 secs. of video and stop. the battery bar is down to like 80% and then after about 2 mins. it goes back up to 100%. It really needs to be more accurate because I can't tell how much longer I have left. My battery is dead every day when I get home from school and I watch probally 5 mins of video during the day and about 2 hours of music or LESS and when I get home its down to 5-10%. Today it died completly but I can understand that, I watched the family guy movie for about 30 mins and when I started the battery was at like 10% then I paused it after 20 mins of playback and the battery was completly gone, I couldent see any color in the bar but yet it still played another 10 mins of video.
    summary:
I get scared at school because my battery is down to like 15% with an hour or 2 left in school and I dont want it to die before I get home because the bus is so annoying and I gotta have my music. but yet I can watch 30 mins of video when the battery is at 10%. its confusing to figure out how much time I really have left.. i really hope apple at least trys to make it a little more accurate.

but the thing is, 3 days ago I wanted to test the battery so I played the family guy movie (about 1 hour 30 mins) and the battery lasted so i started it again and it lasted for a total of about 2 hours and 10 mins.
so I think the battery is alright but the battery indicator is giving false info and its scaring me.. im about to test the video playback again and see if it lasts for 2 hours.
btw mine is also engraved and I dont have a local apple store.. kentucky isint the most popular state

  • Battery info in the terminal...

According to this article at MacFixit you can get info about your battery in the terminal using the following command.
    ioreg -w0 -l | grep Capacity
When I type this in terminal I get something that says
usage: ioreg [-b] [-c class etc...
    where options are:
-b show object name in bold
    etc...
I was looking for the info like the article shows. Does anybody know how to obtain this info?

    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)   1.2 GHZ 1.25 GB RAM

This Syntax works for me. i think that you not type correct. But, you could try this: ioreg -p IODeviceTree -n battery -w 0 | grep IOBatteryInfo.

Several months back purchsed used MacMini 1.8 intel dual core with apple wireless bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

However I chose to use a wired Apple keyboard, with the Apple wireless mouse which has worked fine, no complaints..

Opened and found 2 Kirkland signature alkaline battery - also marked Pile Alkaline Format AA - term unknown to me
Best if used by Dec 2022
Apparently these are different than the regular alkaline batteries?
Is there a recharge process for the batteries? OR ???? How/what to do??
A search did not find info that helped. So elementary info is asked
    thanks

I bought this about 3 years ago - a charger with 6 batteries. Still going strong:

  • IOS8.1.2 won't display the battery info after restating my iPhone!

There is a problem on iOS8.1.2 just have found it this morning and it is related to the battery usage information after you restart or shutdown your iPhone it goes blank and won't show you information about the usage until recharge the phone again!

    Hi!
This is not a problem. This is a choose. Go to your settings feature, then usage, then Battery usage, you will see the option under this settings. Click and activate it.
İf you have still this problem, you should restore/update your device via iTunes.

  • Does this battery info look normal to you?

Hi, longtime Mac user who really doesn't understand battery charges and cycles.
This is what my system profiler says right now.
My 15inch MacBook pro has 4GB RAM (Apple) and a 7200 RPM drive 320 GB (also Apple). It is about 3 weeks old.
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 1602
    Fully charged: No
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 4593
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 7
    Condition: Good
    Battery Installed: Yes
    Amperage (mA): -1462
    Voltage (mV): 11153
    Is the negative amperage normal?
Normally, it's hooked up to a 24 inch Apple display (the new kind) with the power adapter plugged in, but I do unplug it and use the Macbook Pro on battery a few times a week. Currently, I've been using it for 2:02 and there's 26% charge left, according to my screen, although that percentage number always seems to drop fast, although it could just be my imagination.
Right now, I have the following launched:
    Safari
    Mail
    iChat
    Skype
    Preview
    iTunes
    and system profiler.
I checked my activity monitor and there's nothing in the background doing anything out of the ordinary.
I'm using the 9400 graphics - haven't even tried the 9600 yet. And I have the illuminated keyboard on although set to switch off after 10 seconds of inactivity.
Is there anything here that looks weird to you? From what I'm reading I thought my full charge capacity seemed quite low at 4593 - shouldn't it be higher on a computer that's about 3 weeks old?
There might be nothing wrong and I might be paranoid. And I should say that I have NOT calibrated the battery yet and I feel like an idiot for not doing so - I'm currently waiting for my MacBook pro to completely discharge and then I'll do the 5 hours and then plug it back in.
    Any thoughts/advice are greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Scott

that seems alittle low. try a complete cycle drain to zero and do a full recharge let it get to 100% and then check again.
a 15" uMBP ive been using is about 2 months old or so and its usually always plugged in (the battery technology seems alot more robust and solid with these machines)
    Charge Information:
    Charge remaining (mAh): 4854
    Fully charged: Yes
    Charging: No
    Full charge capacity (mAh): 4953
    Health Information:
    Cycle count: 3
    Condition: Good
