now to gnome-shell topic... as prehistory: I moved some time ago from gnome-shell over awesome wm to kde. yesterday I wanted to give gnome-shell 3.4 a try.
installed from gnome-unstable repos. everything was perfect (I'm using all the possible staging and testing repos including kde-unstable, gnome-unstable) and never had any (too big) problems.
so.. I logged in to gnome-shell. it was a bit better than some time ago... but then I did: pacman -Syu and it broke that new gnome-shell which worked A MINUTE AGO!!!!!!!!!!! when I try to relogin, I only see the wallpaper, no panel, no shell, nothing, but a minute ago 3.4 was working well (!!!!! most of the packages were already 3.4.0 not 3.2.* as you could think!!!). I could still press ctrl + alt + backspace to logout (kill xserver), then I deleted all the gnome, config folders. start gnome-shell again, and see default wallpaper, STILL NO PANEL, and now that key combination to kill x server isn't working anymore, the only way to LOGOUT is to reboot with ctrl + alt + del -> reboot
then I went sleep, thought when I wake up everything gonna be fixed in the repos... but until now (over 24 hours) I saw quietly no updates according to gnome ever in gnome-unstable and staging repos.
the stupid thing is THAT 3.4 WORKED WELL until some packages got updated.....................
I just have deleted gnome completely, disabled the gnome-unstable repos, now I'm installing gnome 3.2 from extra repo, and then I gonna upgrade to gnome 3.4 from gnome-unstable
p.s. don't tell me that's because I'm using *-unstable repos, I'm using them over year already, and never had a problem I couldn't fix but that no panel issue doesn't even log the errors.

I've resolved my ati problem by recompiling xf86-video-ati localy before it was fixed in repos
again to my previous post: some disabled maintainer just updated udev from 181-5 to 181-6 and guess what happens after installing it? )) keyboard and mouse stopped working in X and it says while booting UDEV ... [FAIL] downgrading to *-5 fixed that
I'm just wondering.. don't they try to reboot before commiting/uploading new package version to repos?

Somewhere the address is not getting resolved. I would suggest you to enter IP address instead of the hostname in the RFC (SM59).

you mentioned that the java stack is unable to communicate with abap stack but i can login to portal by j2ee_admin user. but when i go to identity management then it give the error i gave you earlier.
any way the dev_w0 file contents is bellow

(iCloud out of the blue asking for password, unable to message your boyfriend, unable to access e-mail). You said that you boyfriend restart his device and then the two of you were able to then imessage. My best advice for you would be to go to settings to reset to reset network settings. Once this has been done you then will need to enter the name and password of your wifi. ONce this is done you then can attempt to check to see that all passwords are enter correctly.

Goods delivered but not reached to customer (in transit)

I have a scenario that, we have done the delivery, Invoice, Excise Invoice and the goods have moved to customeru2019s place (in transit) but they have not reached to customer, and due to some reason goods have come back to the Factory. And the same goods will be sent after a week. What are all the processes I need to do at plant level?
My plant is Excisable.
Plz suggest me.

As suggested by u, I have done the processes i.e.
1.Return order created with respect to billing doc No
2.Retun delivery (PGR)
3.Return for credit (VF01)
"4.Cancel Excise Invoice (J1IEH)"
5.Updated RG23A Part-II.
fourth process mentioned above is wrong. You should not cancel the original excise invoice. Only you have to make necessary adjustments in J1IH.
For updation of excise related sales returns, run T.Code J1IH and do the following:-
Customer Credit
Choose the Additional excise input the original excise invoice reference, document year, company code, plant and excise group and execute. There input manually what value you need to give credit and save.
Cenvat Debit
Choose Other Adjustment and here also, maintain the datas whatever you input as above and save.
Once you do this exerecise in J1IH, the relative registers will get updated.

I have an issue, EBP Order not reaching to R/3, and showing PO status as Error .
I have checked all assignments (cost centre, vendor) are ok,

1) As mentioned by other users see if RZ20 is still showing an error for this PO.
2) If the error is old, try to change the description of the PO and order to re-generate the error.
3) Error in process usually is due to diferences in the way SRM and R/3 works. All budgeting and accounting is maintained in R/3 so SRM might not properly display a hard stop for those errors until handled by custom code. Similarly some changes to PO are not accepted on the R/3 side after the receipts are entered.

MATMAS01 IDOC not reaching to SAP XI via report program.
Dear Experts,
WE are facing small challenge.
I searched on SDN on scenarios: IDOC not reaching to SAP XI. But could not find exact solution t oour scenario.
Problem:
MATMAS01 IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI via report program and is in status of 03 on SAP system. And there are not entries under SM58.
Under SAP XI system IDOC entry is not reflecting under IDX5 transaction, I tried to delete meta data of MATMAS01 thru IDX1 and uploaded again but still IDOC is not reaching to SAP XI.
The strange is that MATMS01 IDOC is reaching to XI via WE19 test tool. So PORT and RFC destination settings betweeen R3 and XI is also correct.
What could be the wrong ?

Create Partner Profile for Outbound Message type in WE20.
settings at XI
Create one port in IDX1
Import Matadata in IDX2.
Create complete scenario in ESR for Idoc sender, also import IDoc in Imported Objects.
Check these settings & send test idoc using WE19. -

For the moment I could not find a simple explanation on how to solve this.if you look at the installation documentation in the CD there is a prerequisites which will require to you to configure the MS loop back adapter by entering a specific IP address. check out the documentation in the CD.

When you have the latest ABAP NW2004s available for download in SDN why do you want to go for the old one. Unless otherwise there is any specific reason i would strongly suggest you to download the latest minisap (SAP netweaver sneakpreview ABAP NW2004s ) -
24" LCD has Super short mini-display cable that does not reach
I was setting up a 24" display (on an LCD arm) and i noticed the mini display cable is very, very short. It does not reach to the Mac Pro under the desk. I guess the 24" displays were made for laptops and did not expect that the cables would need to reach under a desk.
I couldn't find a Mini-display to Mini-display extender. Does anyone know of one?
Anyone considering two 24" monitors might want to review their own setup, to see if it works with the exceptionally short mini display video cables on the 24" display.

I am ready to get a new Mac Pro and 24" display, but a 3 foot (1 meter?) cable is about two feet too short. I don't want to have the MP box sitting between my feet so it can be within 3' of the connector at the back of the display. I talked with someone at the on-line apple store today and he checked with an engineer and looked at the cable that comes with the display, and it was indeed only ~3' long. Since this type of monitor connection (the mini display port) is supposedly going to become the new "standard", I would hope that companies (e.g., Belkin, etc) will have high quality but longer cables available. I assume that the cable you have has the same mini display port plug on each end, and no adaptors are necessary?
If anyone has a solution to this short cable dilemma, please chime in!

We are in process of archiving SAP data.
Requirement: There are 2 company codes in one production client and we want both company codes to be separated as independent clients. So we are archiving one of the company codes in existing client.
Since we want separate clients & require only one company code data in each client, we want to archive all the documents as on date.
I am archiving FI documents through Archiving Object FI_DOCUMNT in SARA transaction. Before archiving we have to clear all open items for the FI documents, for that am checking document archiving status through FB99.I am getting following message for one of the line item

I have set document life (OBR8) and account type life (OBR7) form 9999 to 1 day.

The document life and acount type life is not the same as the withholding tax life. The witholding tax life is country-specific and cannot be overridden. I do not believe there is a way around this.

AAE- Sender ABAP Proxy to SOAP - Payload not reaching PI 7.10 SP4
Hi friends,
I am developeing interface from Solman to PI to 3rd party.
I configured the interface using ABAP stack and it worked fine. Then i changed the RFC destination used in SXMB_ADM to point to adapter engine so that i can use AAE.
I configured SOAP adapter. I wonder there is no option to select BE, EO or EOIO in PI7.30 when we select XI protocol.
I can see my payload in SXMB_MONI is solution manager but the payload is not reaching SAP PI although i am receiving the message and can see error also in Adapter.
Does we need to do anything different in PI configuration to achieve it ?

I am on 7.30 so it should work. I created another interface and it works fine.
The only difference between my interface which is not working is "Java Mappping" and also i have custom adapter module on receiver channel.
I think the reason for failure is custom Java adapter as it is called before the mapping is executed(In AAE mapping is executed by receiver adapter chain and i configured module before that)
I think i need to redesign my adapter module to manipulate input payload of mapping rather than output payload.

We have generated an Idoc(Without message Control) and dispatched it to external vendor. Idoc status is 12, when we check it in midleware(seebeyond) it does not reached.
There is no error with RFC and Port definition.

FTP Sender - Message not reaching XI
Hi,
I am using FTP sender adapter to send an XML file to XI.
The file is being picked up by XI properly from the Source directory on the FTP server which is running on my local machine but it is not reaching the integration server. SXMB_MONI shows no message.
I have checked all the parameters in the communication channel and am sure that the fule is picked up. Alternatively, I am able to put a file on the FTP server. So the FTP server seems to be working fine.
If any of you have any idea of where the error could lie, could you please respond.

this way you'll know if your file got picked from the FTP
if you're sure that is was picked then:

i have a IDOC-XI--JDBC scenario...
my xi receives an idoc from a sap ecc.....does a simple mapping to a jdbc structuuure and then writes to a databse....
it was working fine..... but now i had to change the JDBC adapter configuration..means in the integration builder(configuration).. i changed the name of my database server.....
now after making that change ....... the message is not reaching the outgoing communication channel....
i cant see any error in the sxmb_moni....
but there is no log for the message processing in the communication channel in the RWB............hi,
Is the Database is running on the same server and the same tables and all are existed with same structure.
Database name is changed then you would have to check all . and after changes , did you activated ?
If every thing is correct, then refresh Cache.
